"The longtime Midtown favorite for tapas continues to reign supreme for Detroit couples for its beloved time-tested expression of hot and cold tapas, excellent selection of Spanish sherry and wine, and classic desserts. A rotating menu of offerings include grilled cremini mushrooms in salsa verde, crispy patatas bravas in a spicy tomato sauce, and grilled squid steak in lemon, garlic, olive oil, and parsley. Share a carafe of house-made sangria and finish the cozy meal for two with a shareable portion of flan in a caramel glaze. Not ready to end the evening? Swing by Cata Vino, La Feria’s adjoining little sister wine bar and bottle shop. Enjoy a nightcap of sherry at the bar or grab a bottle from the shop’s vast selection of Spanish wines, as well as from other major wine regions like Italy, France, Argentina, Chile, and elsewhere. The retail side carries more than 150 bottles of wine, in addition to the makings for a nice charcuterie board at home." - Serena Maria Daniels

5 stars for everything!!! Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing night out. We ordered mini tapas, sardines, and croquettes—everything was incredibly delicious and full of flavor. The service was super quick and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for authentic and tasty tapas!

Google
The flat steak and the baby octopus were 10/10. If I come back, I think I could order 10 of them and not get tired of it. I wish the portions were bigger, but its a tapas place so I guess the portions are supposed to be small. Waiters were knowledgeable and could explain different menu items and drinks to me. Street parking isn't free and depending on what time of the day you go, you won't find parking ever.

Detroit place to remember Spain. Is a very kind and familiar place to have a taste of the Spanish cuisine essence.

Check this out! That beautiful square fuchsia -hued deliciousness is beet gazpacho! Four us enjoyed so many flavors and textures. Do you like canned sardines? Try the fresh roasted sardines! Aren’t they cute! - the skin and bones are crunchy-chew well! Ask for the pulpo sliced - it’s soft and slightly sweet and fun. It’s a tentacle - you get to eat an octopus’s tentacle! The wine was rich and perfect with the variety of foods. Agua de Valencia, a Mediterranean cocktail crafted with oranges and cava, is not on the menu, but they will make it for you. The churros are fresh and warm and crunchy. Someone in the kitchen was a bit too enthusiastic and overcooked the tortilla, wonderful comfort food made with eggs and potatoes. The steak was so good. I don’t remember everything. Oh, we arrived on time for an early dinner reservation Friday. No rush yet, but filled quickly. Attentive knowledgeable service - we asked for clean plates at least once - no problem. The servers tell you the name of the food when they put it on your table - such a good idea. Filled water glasses too. Our server had visited the Alhambra - so nice to share a rare experience with someone! I think the only thing that would make this experience better is a personal tong- tweezer tool to use so I don’t have to stick my fork into foods I’m sharing with other people. Especially olives. I look forward to eating here again!

Honestly, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. It was relaxed, yet welcoming, with a small hint of romantic. We were quite fortunate that we were able to sit by the open windows as there was a wonderful breeze as we enjoyed the many different kinds of tapas. If you go there around 6 or 7,you'll get to experience two different atmospheres as they dim the lights inside and turn on these nicely placed lightbulbs that are outside. The food was quite good. There was a good variety and it was well flavored and seasoned. I was content to have been able to try something as strange as watermelon soup though the taste was not as exotic as the name implies it to be. The one thing I was not super thrilled about was the service. Don't get me wrong, the people that served us were great!... When they came around. It took a bit more time than expected to get attended and a few times we had to catch their attention because they hadn't stopped by the table in a while. Overall a nice place for some good tapas. Highly recommended for a relaxing date.

Some of the best food we’ve ever had, everything was perfect. The Pisto Manchego (stewed veggies with an egg on top) and fried eggplant with honey were our favourites but everything we tried was delicious. The sangria was also great and the service was friendly and quick. Update: one of our favourite restaurants anywhere!! Can’t go wrong with a single thing in the menu there

Great little bar. Cheap drinks, affordable food. The steak was delicious. Friendly bartenders and waitstaff.

Google
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. the food we had was really good, the portions were great, and I really enjoyed my margarita. I will admit that the pricing is a little high for the portion size, but we enjoyed the food enough so it wasn't a huge deal. The food came out quickly, as they were prepared, which was really nice. We ordered four things and they were placed perfectly. I will definitely go back if I am in the area. I came back here today (02/26/2022) and it was just as good as every other time. This place is consistently good. We got a few new dishes this time and they were all really good. Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
The atmosphere when we first walked in was amazing. It felt like an old little restaurant in Spain even though it is in a newer building. The staff was very friendly. We had a table by the window, so we could see the city go by. The food was amazing. I can't list everything here, but every tapa we tried was delicious. We went on a day when they had paella. I highly recommend getting it if you can. The only minor downside was that because it's a small restaurant, the end of our evening was a bit rushed. They had another large party that needed our table. It was understandable because we were a bit slow and one person in our group arrived about 15 minutes late for the reservation. That was the only part of the night that didn't feel like a true Spanish experience. I definitely plan to go again when I'm back in Detroit.

Yelp
Went there for happy hour, start out with sangria, steak and eggplant with honey. I highly recommend both. Waiter bartender was extremely helpful with selections. He also reminded us when happy hour was coming to a close to give us our extra drink. A comfortable niche little place. Wish I could just walk up to it.

Yelp
I've been seeing so many great things about La Feria that I knew I needed to stop in here asap and I'm so happy I did! We sat at the bar and the service was quick and helpful! We got quite a few different hot tapas, 4 to be exact, and it was definitely enough food for 3 people. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. There were so many different flavor notes between all of the dishes, but I can't recommend this place enough. My favorite dish was the Patatas Bravas. My drink was to die for (Calimocho), I was nervous about coca cola and red wine, but wow, it was amazing! I can't wait to go back here soon

Yelp
La Feria is one of my favorite restaurants. Not only in Detroit but maybe worldwide because I just got back from a week long trip to Spain and didn't have anything nearly was good as what you can get on a random weeknight at La Feria. Their standard menu is great with the highlights being the shrimp, steak, pintxos, and fried eggplant. Ask about the weekly special because it's usually not posted online or in the restaurant but often it's fantastic and worth coming in just to see what it is. As others have said, look out for the auto-grat and processing fees. I prefer to sit at the bar when I come but it's nice to come with a few people because then you can try more of the menu. The almond cake is a sleeper hit for sure if you like a more savory dessert. Salud!

Yelp
Real true Spanish tapas should deliver an alchemical explosion of flavors in your mouth. La Féria does exactly that! Fabulous menu of Spanish Barcelona inspired tapas. Had the perfectly grilled whole sardines in tarragon oil which were exquisitely prepared! The grilled crimini mushrooms in parsley, lemon , garlic sauce and the roasted eggplant with onions and anchovies. Everything popped in your mouth! Their sangria with "many liquors" perfectly accentuated the flavor explosion of a meal . Go here for a true Iberian experience!

Yelp
As always, food was delicious. Even if you don't like eggolant the hot eggplant tapas is so freaking delicious! Second time ordering the tortilla and it was as fabulous as the first time. Always delicious and great wine list!

Yelp
Excellent small plates and very fresh seafood. Enjoyed the ambiance and service. Asked for a special drink and bar tender was great making it.

Yelp
We had a glorious dinner here. Everything was wonderful. We had the eggplant, the cheesy garlic toast, the dates, the shrimp, the steak, the chicken, the potatoes bravas, and the churros. What a wonderful dinner with great service can't wait to go back.

Yelp
One of the most underrated restaurants in the city has got to be Le Feria, Spanish Tapas. Everything is SO GOOD, as is the atmosphere, staff and has an extensive wine selection. Our waiter Nate was top notch and guided us through a delicious dinner. Some of our faves included the charcuterie board, the manchango & quince, the asparagus, mushrooms, shrimp, chorizo, calamari, almond stuffed dates with bacon and the flan!

Yelp
Great place to stop for wine, cocktails and appetizers. Wait staff are very helpful. I've been here a few times and will go back.

Yelp
Stopped here because it was on the way to a concert and close to our Airbnb while we stayed here in Detroit! The idea of getting some tapas before a concert was appealing so we decided to check this place out! One side of the place seemed to be closed off for a private event but when we walked in we were able to sit at a table almost immediately. Our server was very kind and attentive all night long:) We started off by ordering drinks and both had the Margarita with a salt rim and it was strong and delicious! The first tapa we ordered was the Tortilla Española which is a Spanish omelette, fried potatoes, onions, and roasted red peppers. It's on the cold tapas menu but was more room temp. We definitely liked this for the flavor and tasty level but wondered if we would like it more if it was warmed. Still a yummy dish! The second tapa we tried was Gambas Al Ajillo which is seared shrimp in spices and oil. They served it with four tiny pieces of bread which came in handy with the flavored oil. My boyfriend felt like there was a bit of heat with the chili flakes but I still think the flavor was absolutely delicious regardless. The Patatas Bravas were our safe bet for tapas because we all know you can't mess up a potato. These came with ketchup and garlic aioli drizzled over top and tiny toothpicks to grab the potatoes with :) loved that honestly. For dessert, we ordered the churros! I make a habit to try churros at any restaurant I can to find the most perfect churro and this churro came close. Love the ridges, the crunchy level, and the fact that it was served with only chocolate. Felt authentic and I could eat several of these so it's wonderful there were only four. At the end of the night our bills were accidentally messed up with another tables but thankfully that transaction was cancelled and ours went through normally. Not a big deal but thought I should mention it since the server was very apologetic and kind through the entire process. We left extremely happy and satisfied and I would definitely come again!

Yelp
I'm actually really surprised by the rating of this place. I ordered a pitcher of sangria that was 5 servings, two slices of baguette with cheese and ham. And a tapa of chicken and potatoes. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was tasty and it was yummy but I almost just stopped at Mcdonalds because I'm still hungry. The waiter was really great. He was very attentive but the bill was over $40. I don't mind an expensive dinner when I leave satisfied. I should never spend 40 on dinner and then want a $2 cheeseburger for substance- please note my photos have 1 order of the chicken and potatoes. 1 Spanish omelette, and 2 orders of the toast with various toppings. Just the photos were almost $60.... I understand paying to quality but as someone who cooks- I ate $4 worth of food

Yelp
Food was good. Wine was very overpriced. My hubby had a 13.00 cocktail that was good but again way overpriced. I apparently was in the servers way sitting at the bar. Everytime she visited her table she kicked my bar stool. Staff is more worried about being slow moving hipsters than quick or friendly service. They had a lot of staff just standing around. Felt awkward being stared at. We had one drink, one small plate and got the heck out of there.

Yelp
Just tried this spot for the first time. Ambiance is cute with even some outdoor seating. Service was great up at the bar too. The food overall was just ok. There was a lot of garlic in most of the tapas we tried to the point where it was overwhelming. The sangria was tasty.
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Left hungry- service super slow. Ordered octopus and never came. When we asked about it, server said they likely ran out and would check and then never went to go check, so we just got our check and left. Remember this place being better than this. Could be a fluke, but probably won't be back anytime soon.

Yelp
I've been to La Feria before and after a life-changing trip to Spain's Basque country, with their equivalent of tapas ("pintxos"). And bar none, it is one of the most authentic and best ways I get to relive that trip over and over. While our food culture in the U.S. is starkly different from Spain (food laws, sourcing, etc.), La Feria does a very good job at transporting you away for a couple hours. In Spain, the tapas are served in bars plentifully, made with hyperlocal ingredients and it's a Cheers type experience. Red wine, white wine and alcoholic cider flow freely. While curated through servers and a menu instead (it's self-serve and an honesty policy in Spain), at La Feria, this holds true. On the menu are perennial favorites of boquerones (white anchovies), patatas bravas (fried potatoes), and for the slightly more daring, morcilla (blood sausage, just try it!). Ever since they expanded into their extra space for Cata Vino, they've increased their footprint and the complete space is beautiful. Just like any shared meal experience, do yourself a favor and go with some friends, order a bunch of food to share and enjoy the smiles on each other's faces as you eat, drink and tell some stories. It'll be the most affordable and efficient way to experience Spain. Funny story, La Feria still regularly makes Eater, Detroit News, Hour Magazine lists, but its staying power means those chasing the newest restaurants don't blow out their reservations to a two-month wait. And that makes it what it should be: an awesome, unique, accessible neighborhood dining experience. Sidenote: If you love food, find San Sebastián (Donostia) on a map, find a way to get there and live your best life.

Shannon S.

Yelp
I was a little disappointed with this restaurant. we had a reservation which we had to leave a $25 deposit for and when we arrived, they didn't have a table for us. we could wait for a table or we could sit outside. it was very warm this day and that wasn't ideal but we chose to sit outside. our server was very unfriendly and a bit rude boarding on pretentious. I really don't know why.... it's just a restaurant. the food was very good, especially the beef dish that we ordered. the part that really got me was that he added a 20% tip to our total?!? there was only 3 of us in our party. I usually tip around 20% anyway, but still I would like to make that decision on my own. I will not be going back to this place.

Yelp
I love a good tapas joint, and this is a very, very good tapas joint. The food is spectacular and fairly priced. It is located on a strip of hot, trendy restaurants surrounded by the standard Detroit mixture of urban blight and restoration. As I was just a visitor to Detroit, it's strange to see a mix of 5 star restaurants surrounded by abandoned buildings in various stages of decay. Kind of sad if you love that old northeastern architecture. Anyway, the only reason I'm taking a star off is because of the snooty host. I had gone to the Motown Museum, and called to see if we could get in. He said he could accommodate us in an hour. So, I asked if he wanted my name for the reservation. What ensued was an Abbot & Costello "Who's On First?" routine about what a reservation meant semantically. See, after much obfuscation, it turned out he wasn't telling us we could get a reservation in an hour. He was saying come in, and he'll try to get us in if he can, but it would most likely have to be at the bar. I explained that I had a 13 year old with me so could not legally sit at the bar, and he said that we would indeed need a table, but to come in when he said and maybe we could get in. It was a needless run around. Thankfully, when we showed up, the guy was slightly nicer while still being kind of stuck up and did get us a table in a reasonable amount of time. Would have been better if he just made a regular, normal reservation for us or said there are no reservations so you can come in but it could be thirty minutes or 2 hours wait. At least then we would know what we were up against. Anyway, on to the food. Everything we had was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The TG Pollo al Ajillo or garlic chicken was excellente! The TG Sabor de Espana charcuterie Board was good & filling. We like charcuterie boards but rarely order them, as they are usually large and costly, but this one was reasonable and fit nicely into the meal. We got the two steaks. The Steak con mojo and the steak pimienta. They were ordered medium well but came out medium to medium rare. Of the two sauces, we liked the pimienta way more, but both were good. We ended up getting a second pimienta, which was cooked to the proper ordered temp this time, after we stressed the cook we wanted. The TG Gambas al Ajillo, or shrimp in garlic sauce, was okay but surprisingly kind of bland for a garlic sauce. Never had it at a tapas place or Spanish restaurant be this boring. Would not get that again. The Calamares Fritos was excellent; not greasy or oily. Finally, it was all paired with an $18 carafe of sangria. If four people were dining, you could each manage one glass out of the carafe. It's not expensive and it's not large. It also could be made with a stronger wine. It needed more of a kick or you need to drink a lot more of it. Considering I drank all four glasses alone, it clearly was weak. But, you have to have sangria with your tapas. They also supposedly have a paella night. I believe it is Tuesday, but you should check on this. I wish they offered paella every night, as I would've ordered it for sure. Then again, I guess they don't have the manpower for that every day. Shame! Still, I highly recommend this place for the food. It's also good for a first date kind of place. Kind of romantic though not terribly so. Just go early or late and otherwise expect to wait unless you can get a real reservation. I still can't tell you whether they take normal reservations and didn't have one available or whether it's just first come, first serve for everyone. Either way, it can get busy. Strong recommendation. Check it out.

Yelp
Been looking forward to eating here for a long time. Food was good. Menu seems a little limited. Since it's tapas and we each ordered a few things, I'm not sure there are any surprises that looked appealing for us for the next visit. Our particular server was hopefully having a bad day. He was helpful when ordering but forgot one of our ordered dishes and did not see us several times when we needed something nor did he fill our water glasses. I don't think that's representative as the other waiter seemed on the ball.

Yelp
Absolutely love this restaurant! I haven't had a dish I did not like. Not pictured is the squid steak and the bacon wrapped dates which were delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you're looking for a light meal and great drinks/wine! You can't go wrong with the Steak, Fried Calamari, Patatas Bravas, and the tostada de almogrote. Every time I visit La Feria I order a sweeter version of the Dulce Flor (shout out to Lucas, the best bartender) and end with both, equally delicious, desserts (churros and Tarta De Santiago). This is a tapas bar so the portions are smaller (light snacks/appetizer bites). Nice ambiance and music, perfect for a date or a nice meal with family/friends.

Yelp
Excellent tapas, wines, service and setting. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the Spanish and Portuguese wines and sherries are truly special. Knowledgeable staff that make great recommendations.

Yelp
Excellent sangria and mushroom tapas! Will return soon! Have the flan! Make a reservation for best service.

Yelp
Such a great experience. Staff was super friendly and we were treated like royalty Food was DELICIOUS! Ordered the whole menu and everything was 5 stars! There was not a dish that I did not like

Yelp
20% living wage fee 3% processing fee Since they don't put that on the menu or on their front door, I thought I'd add it to their Yelp page. As for the food, it was good, no complaints. The patatas bravas and steak were great. Loved the shrimp. I've been to La Feria many times, and I would consider going back. But the living wage and processing fees aren't exactly welcoming additions to the restaurant.

Yelp
Yummy food, super nice staff, get the amazing sardines. Also so many Spanish wines and cava. Charmed I'm sure!

Sandra F.

Yelp
La Feria is a sparkling emerald in the crown of coolness that is the Cass Corridor these days. When I arrived I was met by muy amable (very friendly) staff. The interior is charming and I was intrigued by the wall of Spanish wines. We enjoying the charcuterie plate which did not disappoint. We also ordered some tapas and pixtos of which my favorite were the sardines. These are not the nasty canned sardines your Dad used to eat while watching All in the Family. These are three good sized sardines that are broiled. Crispy and delicious they were almost a steaky texture. Next time your in Manhattan, oh I mean Detroit, head over to La Feria. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We reserved a table for 4 on an early Saturday evening for a pre-concert meal. Surprisingly, there were plenty of open tables in the two room establishment. We were seated at a lovely table near the bar. The atmosphere was alive enough to feel the energy, but quiet enough for conversations. Our server arrived with a couple menus for sharing and water, and then it was a while before we saw him again. He would appear, and ask if we needed anything to drink or if we had any menu questions, but there was no effort to explain the concept, the food or drink selections. Don't get me wrong. He was pleasant and professional, but he seemed somewhat hurried; not forthcoming with which menu items and chef specials were currently available, and what was not unavailable i.e. the Albariño on the menu and the grilled sardines, for instance. When the charcuterie board arrived, again no effort was made to identify the meats or the cheeses. We ordered our food, and everything was delicious though. The soup-of-the-day was a distinct winner for me: Squash Soup garnished with pumpkin seeds. It was served steamy, thick and full of flavor. Raves from everyone! The stuffed mushroom dish was great too. It was not until we were nearly finished with our meal when a member of our party recognized that the grilled asparagus wasn't coming. Upon trying to get attention, it was only then we noticed the poor guy was serving nearly everyone there: two rooms of guests plus those dining outside! The delayed order appeared to get reordered, and it was excellent as well. We did not try desert options because we were not offered desert. Know that 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill along with an extra 3% "processing fee". That said, our server received a total of 33% because he was working hard and fast, and i cannot fault him individually for not being trained in food service and table presentation. That's a management issue.

Yelp
La Féria is one of the only tapas restaurants in Detroit and it is very good. It is a pretty small place but has a wine bar as well. The food is great but it didn't necessarily knock my socks off. The mushroom dish was my favorite but the potatoes bravos were not as good as other places. The vibes are pretty cool in here and the staff is very nice. There is street parking out front using ParkDetroit. I have always been able to walk in without a reservation when I am with one other person.

Jeff H.

Yelp
Food is great. I'm leaving a two star because it's disappointing that I see a 20% gratuity added to my bill at checkout. So COVID is over, the purpose of gratuity is based on how the service went. They should say there is an automatic 20% service charge to your bill (that's what it is). Or just raise your prices by 20% and state that there is a built in service charge? Inflation has caused everything to increase pretty significantly, and so tipping has always been 15% and if prices go up, then your tip goes up but the service is still the service ( that hasn't changed in 50 years). Tipping culture is out of control, tired of point of sale devices asking for 20% tip at McDonald's. Why not Kroger or Lowe's? Why not tip the sales person 20% who sold your a vehicle? I guaranteed there would an outrage on tipping an extra 20% on a 40k vehicle? But anyhow.. just saying be up front about these thing to be fair to people before they make a decision to dine.

Mary D.

Yelp
This place was great. Loved the tapas dishes my husband and I shared (fried eggplant-fabulous, steak-perfectly done, shrimp-a bit too garlicky, churros with chocolate dip-yummy). Although we did not choose a bottle from their extensive wine collection, the sangria I had was lovely. Service was spot on attentive. Would highly recommend this place.

Pam A.

Yelp
Everything from the food, wine and service is top notch. We just vacationed in Barcelona and the tapas and wine at La Faria transported us back to Spain. Why I won't return is the automatic 20% tip and the 3% additional fee. I absolutely would have given 20% that evening but it should be my choice. If the establishment feels their staff needs a bigger wage, then up the prices and pay them more. Don't nickel and dime me when I'm just trying to have a nice evening out.

Yelp
Awesome experience. Really made me feel like I was back visiting family in Sevilla. The owner is from there! They should look into getting some actual Spanish tile instead of using some paper printouts in some areas . I went on a date Friday night here and I did call right when they opened to see about a table for 2 at 8:30. The guy didn't really take my info and said it should be fine. We showed up and it was packed but I expected it. They had us wait for about 10 minutes in the back hall. The host found us and two spots opened at the bar. The bartender we chatted up was cool. Something was up with their water gun because her tequila soda was flat. He remedied it with a gin and tonic. As for the food. We ordered a meat and cheese plate which is kind of a lot for two people if you're going to order other tapas. But Spanish Manchego is too good to pass up. The fried eggplant is a must and it has a little honey drizzled on it. Grilled octopus was a great shareable, as well as the squid, and bacon wrapped dates. Maybe we should have gotten something kind of green in lieu of the meat and cheese. This was definitely enough food for two people. For all this and two drinks each it came out to over $100. Great date night spot in Detroit.

Yelp
La Féria keeps getting better! We always enjoy the tapas menu selections, which are prepared wonderfully. On our recent visit, the service was excellent and the added Thursday night combo made it a memorable time!

Yelp
Amazing food and even better ambience. Hidden gem in Detroit. I am definitely coming back to this place when I'm back in town.

Yelp
Get the shrimp and steak. Nothing else compares to those two. And extra bread to dip the shrimp garlic broth in.

Yelp
After hearing a lot about La Feria, I finally had a chance to try it, and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious -- between four of us, we split the charcuterie board, tostada de almogrote, pan con tomate, boquerones, ensalada de espinacas con pera, patatas bravas, pollo al ajillo, and chorizo. The portions were generous for a tapas place, too, so we ended up not finishing it all. We split a pitcher of sangria, which was also delicious and was enough for a couple drinks each. Last, the service was quick and helpful despite it being a busy Saturday evening. On that note, make reservations! It's a small place, and some people waited a while for a table.

Yelp
This was the absolute best dinning experience I've had in Detroit in years! The sangria was out of this world. The dates, calamari, chicken and steak were literally life changing. Customer service was 10/10

Yelp
What a phenomenal experience! Definitely a must come back! We tried nearly everything on the menu. The eggplant was incredible great people, great environment and great food!

Yelp
The last time I was at La Feria + Cata Vino was in Winter 2019 for a dinner with work colleagues. Nineteen months later, all of us fully vaccinated gathered again, and it was wonderful to return to some semblance of normalcy as we enjoyed our dinner on the outdoor patio. As this is a tapas restaurant, we shared a variety of plates from the menu. My favorites remain the same but everything on the menu is delicious and worth a try. It is best to bring a large party so you can try a bit of everything from each category on the menu. I highly recommend the Tostadas de Almogrote, Berenjenas Fritas, Patatas Bravas, Gambas al Ajilla, Chorizo, Tocino Relleno de Datil, Champinones en Salsa Verde, and Sabor de Espana charcuterie board. All very shareable and delicious. Eat it with an order of sangria and you'll feel like you're in Spain instead of Cass Avenue. Service was excellent and staff still wear masks. I can't rave about this restaurant enough. This is a great choice for dinner in Downtown Detroit.

Yelp
I have past by this several times and was invited to this place without planning it myself and I must say I was very impressed with the quality and flavors of the food. It appears more fancy from outside than what it is inside. So expect it's more casual inside with wood chairs and tables. We sat at the bar which is always nice so you can get recommendations for drinks. My top favorite was the morcilla sausage. I thought about it for days. They definitely give you really small portions for the way it's priced. So don't be surprised how small the order is when you get it, I suggest getting two portions especially if you go with another person. The bartender was amazing. They went and asked about the fryer being separate when cooking the home fries without me asking to ask chef which was really thoughtful. Because they didn't use same fryer I was able to eat the delicious homefries that were guaranteed to be gluten-free. I also ate the squid steak that was delicious. Definitely tasted much better w a squeeze of lemon all over. I will definitely be returning for the blood sausage and squid steak.

Yelp
Being a Spanish citizen and missing home dearly I was so happy to stop by and grab some tapas. I was instantly transported back home to Andalucía. But was pretty bummed fairly quickly. The prices are so extreme for what you get. And the server was SO rude. It ruined my entire experience. Idk if he had his bandana on too tight but when I asked for a flight instead of a glass of wine he sighed and dumped the entire glass of wine down the drain. We ended up paying $70 and still had to get dinner afterward somewhere else. Not worth it.

Yelp
The shrimp is the best thing we have tried on the menu and everything is really good! It's garlicky and spicy and comes with bread to soak up the olive oil at the bottom. To die for! The potatoes have a spicy red sauce and aoli and would be my second pick. We always enjoy this restaurants experience!

Yelp
La Feria is a great place with amazing food. I came here with a group of 6 last night and had a great time. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and shared across the table. We suffered from the same 2 for $6 confusion as some others seem to have experienced from reading other reviews. I don't understand why they can't explain that more clearly on the menu. This is the only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars. A deceptive menu is something I'd expect to see at a ballpark, not a place like this. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and had a great time with friends. It's a bit pricy for me, so I wont be frequenting the place, but for a special occasion I'd go again. It's also a great place for introducing Detroit skeptics to the city, either for the first time or bringing people who experienced its decline back to see the rapidly changing dynamic of Midtown and the Cass corridor.

Yelp
A quick stop for a bite turned into a beautiful Spanish journey, beginning w a flight of sherry and a rosé cava. This soon was paired w a beautifully fresh and dressed green salad, grilled sardines, and papas w marinara and alioli. All were perfectly prepared, and priced to delight, not to gouge. My wife then went to shop in the pantry area, and was soon helped by the owner, a delightful woman who told my wife about each item, which we purchased and then brought home to continue the journey. One of my favorite places in Detroit and beyond. We will become regulars. :)

Yelp
As one of the only tapas restaurants, La Féria brings a much needed Spanish vibe to the area. With a wine bar attached and live music, La Féria has a lot to offer and a great vibe to spend the time that one usually does while indulging in some great tapas. The servers are joyous and even without a reservation, we were seated within 5 minutes. The octopus was delicious - perfectly tender and covered in a deliciously light seasoning, similar to that in Madrid. And I can't make it too far before mentioning the quality of the olive oil that is used in most of their dishes - so good you could drink it. The pan con tomate, like many meals in Spain, is a staple dish and just highlights the delicacy in the ingredients. And my personal favorite: the patatas bravas, has a lovely garlic aioli but the traditional bravas sauce was missing the small bit of heat that brings the bravas name in and the extra crop on the potatoes. All in all, a great tapas spot for those craving the beauty of the shareable meal!

Yelp
We've been coming to La Féria for many years and the service is always good, even mid-pandemic when the owner was cooking and serving herself, and the food is generally quite good, but I have to say I'm put off by the combined 23% added charge to our bill. I would have left a 20% tip regardless and calling it a "living wage charge" just seems deceptive, especially since there was still a line to add a tip. Someone who didn't pay too much attention to their bill might not notice and wind up leaving a 40% tip. The 3% credit card fee also seems dodgy considering we may have paid cash, in which case why are we paying the credit card transaction fee? This was all printed on the bill and presented at the end of the meal. We were all (party of six) unhappy with this policy and turned off. It's unfortunate that restaurants were put in a position by government that made it almost impossible to survive during Covid but we are all living in the same economy. People dining in restaurants are hurting too. The prices have doubled for many of the menu items as well so they're already making it up by adjusting costs there.

Yelp
This place is so wonderful, with food that melts in your mouth and wines galore. Plenty of room for friends or just for a date, and all the tapas are very reasonably priced.
