I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with dietary restrictions. Despite its high-end setting, the service was surprisingly slow. We waited quite a while after being seated before having to ask for menus and to place our drink order.
I have a gluten intolerance and found the staff to be poorly informed about gluten-free options. There was only one dish on the menu I could potentially eat. I checked with the staff, who reassured me it was gluten-free even though it was listed as containing spelt, which is not gluten-free. Despite my doubts, they insisted it was safe. When the dish arrived, I was still unsure based on the texture and appearance. I asked again, and was reassured once more, but I remained uncomfortable. I requested to see the packaging to verify the ingredients myself, but it was never brought to me. No one followed up to check on me either, which felt dismissive.
To add to the frustration, when bread was brought out for the table before the mains, I asked if they had gluten-free bread. They did but it was served to me 45 minutes later, after the main courses had already been cleared. I also ordered tea with dessert that never arrived.
While the food itself was good and the setting beautiful, the service was unacceptably poor, especially considering the price point. I’ve never felt so overlooked as someone with dietary needs. There was no sense of care or concern from the staff, and overall, the experience was disappointing.
