The Best Hotels in Puglia to Book for an Idyllic Italian Escape | Vogue

"Steps from the Basilica di Santa Croce, entering this historic palazzo feels like slipping into an atmospheric hush; the courtyard and subterranean wellness space are arresting, and the Fiermonte family’s sensitive restorations—especially the high‑ceilinged piano nobile rooms—showcase a refined eye for color, proportion and the property’s rich history, making it a deeply Leccese and intimate place to stay." - Liam Hess

La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso (Lecce, Puglia) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Baroque city of Lecce, on the outer reaches of the Salentine Peninsula, is one of the most picturesque places in Puglia, and perhaps all of southern Italy. It’s here, in a city-center palazzo that dates back to 1775, that siblings Antonia and Giacomo-Fouad Filali established a luxury boutique hotel that showcases not just Lecce’s architectural history but the family’s extensive art-world connections as well. La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso is named for the Fiermonte branch of the family; one of its ten suites is named for Lady Astor, to whom Enzo Fiermonte was married." - Tablet Hotels

This place is amazing, great value for the cost. Like staying in your own palace. The rooms are huge. We had two room suite with 15 foot vaulted ceilings with incredible artwork on the walls. The staff is attentive and helpful and very friendly. Parking the car was a bit difficult, but the staff used WhatsApp to guide me to a place where they could take the car and our luggage from us and walk us to the hotel. We stayed 3 nights and could easily have stayed more. This is a perfect base to visit the southern part of Puglia. Lecce has many great restaurants and easy to walk around in the pedestrian center.

We spent six nights at La Fiermontina and loved every moment. This was a great base to stay and explore Puglia. The staff and their service were exceptional — a huge thank you to Mathias, Sam, Sara, and the two Ms for looking after us. We appreciate your assistance with our special requests, nothing was too much trouble, and the restaurant recommendations and tips for our drives around Puglia really helped us experience the best of the region.||Our room was next to the beautiful garden where breakfast was served each morning. We loved our lazy siestas with the bathroom door fully open to take in the garden view. The sunsets from the rooftop were spectacular — we took so many photos of the golden light over Lecce!||We also really enjoyed spending time in the rooms upstairs surrounded by all the art — everything felt relaxed, stylish, and full of character.|We would highly recommend La Fiermontina — your home away from home in Lecce.

An amazing hotel! Wonderful location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and beautiful rooms. The breakfast area is charming and the roof ideal for a sundowner. We were constantly in touch with staff by WhatsApp during our daytrips - they even made restaurant reservations in other towns. Parking is not an issue (although the hotel is hard to find with a car). Brilliant!

We stayed in the Lady Astor Suite for 4 nights in July 2025 and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The room is very grand and luxuriously appointed, with a very comfy bed and good pillows. I especially loved sitting in the historic marble vanity area to put on my makeup every day. The entire hotel is a treat to stay in; you really feel like you’ve gone back in time and are a house guest in an ornate palazzo. But the most memorable part of our stay was how friendly and helpful all of the staff were. Sarah in reception helped us with numerous reservations, Aldo at the rooftop bar made us delicious craft cocktails every night, and our server (whose name I forgot to ask) at their delicious breakfast was always a charming, bright start to our day. Finally, the porters were all so quick and friendly about getting our car for us — it made taking little beach trips in the area so easy. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Lecce.

The Bozzi Corso is one of the finest properties we have ever experienced, only to be exceeded by its amazing staff!|The hotel is located on one of the main streets in Lecce, but once we entered the private courtyard, it was like being in a different world with artwork scattered throughout the property. |The staff greeted us on arrival and made us feel like family during our entire visit .|Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom that was well lighted ( apparently something important to my wife)|Breakfast in the garden was a morning treat, with fresh fruit, local pastries, and excellent cappuccino by Iman.|The beautiful rooftop bar was an afternoon ritual with mixologist Aldo and his creative cocktails. |Another enhancement to staying at Bozzi Corso is access to the other La Fiermontina properties located a few minutes easy walk.|Dinner at their Zephyr restaurant, in the garden among the ancient olive and citrus trees, was a special experience. |Although I'm not usually interested in art museums, I highly recommend taking advantage of the private tour... an incredible story.|From either property, old town Lecce is easily walkable with numerous bars, restaurants and ample shopping.|The staff arranged a private walking tour for us, and our guide, Gabriella, was a real expert on the city history and culture.|Another special experience arranged by the staff was a cooking class by Livio, a fun and educational hands-on cooking and eating afternoon. |Without exception, every staff member happily provided excellent service, with Sarah being the true ambassador of the property and Lecce.|The best hotel experience in Lecce!

I rarely write reviews, but a place as exceptional as La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso deserves every word. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of extraordinary: the stunning suites, the elegant ambiance, the delicious food, the incredible artwork, and most of all, the warm and attentive staff. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and intimate. I chose this special place to propose to my girlfriend, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the moment was unforgettable, their care and dedication truly meant the world to us. By the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable stay in what I believe is Italy’s most romantic city, I can't recommend La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso highly enough.

From the moment we arrived at La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso, we knew we had found something extraordinary. Perfectly located in the very heart of Lecce’s old town, this exquisite historical palazzo has been transformed into a ten-room boutique hotel that feels like both a private sanctuary and a living work of art. The rooms are spacious, eloquent, and filled with artistic details that honor the history of the building while offering every modern comfort. Breakfast each morning was one of the finest we have experienced anywhere in the world, and we have traveled extensively. It was beautifully presented, prepared with consistency and care, and carried the warmth and heart of the people who serve it. What truly elevates this place is the team. They are not simply hotel staff, but a family who love the property and embody its spirit. Their deep knowledge and affection for the building’s history and its artwork is woven into every interaction. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, an impressive and down-to-earth gentleman whose eloquence and graciousness reflect in the way the hotel is run. From the very start, we were guided and cared for. Even before arrival, the team helped us with advice on the best way to reach the property, removing any stress from our journey. Once there, we were looked after as though we were personal guests. Sarah, who welcomed us, was a delight, young, enthusiastic, warm, and wonderfully attentive. She is the kind of person who makes you feel instantly at home. On our final evening, Aldo, the bartender on the rooftop terrace, prepared us some of the best cocktails we have ever had. The rooftop setting is magical, and Aldo’s charm and friendliness made it feel as though we were enjoying drinks in the home of an old friend. Lecce itself is enchanting, often called the Florence of the South, and rightly so. It is a buzzing, vibrant town filled with exquisite food, excellent wine, and an energy that makes it a joy to wander and get lost in. To step out from the palazzo straight into the heart of this historic town was a luxury in itself. La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso is not just a hotel, it is an experience. It is a family property generously opened to the world, allowing a lucky few to share in its beauty. There is a sister hotel just ten minutes away, offering more amenities such as a swimming pool, but for us this palazzo is the true gem. It offers an intimacy, a sense of history, and a location that is unmatched. For anyone who wishes to be immersed in the beauty of Lecce, to be welcomed with genuine care, and to stay in a place where history, art, and hospitality come together so perfectly, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was, from beginning to end, an extraordinary experience for both my wife and me, and one that we will always cherish.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel- spectacularly designed. We travel to high end places a lot- so this review is based on what one would expect from a higher end establishment. The rooms are not sound proof. So you can basically hear other guests conversing, and it sounds as though they are in your room. Also, front desk does not have any good recommendations for good restaurants to try outside the hotel. They sent us to one and as soon as we stepped in- we quickly left. Finally, as gorgeous as the property is- it lacks atmosphere. The music at night was American 80's music. It is such a beautiful place though.
