We sat outside and it was quite nice. Even though the staff couldn't see us and we were the only ones outside, they did come by often enough to take care of us. Until the check. It happens often in Europe that you have to beg for the check, which we did twice here then we just got up to go to the front of the restaurant where we saw chef Barbara's husband who apparently has to hand write all checks. Silly. Guess he was tied up for a while?
The food was good, I started with a tagliatellina with asparagus. Delicious and right-sized to allow for the larger main course. My wife had the involtini and liked it. I then had the duck three ways, and it was a bit disappointing overall. The duck prosciutto on arugula was good but the duck burger was a bit dry. Its sauce however made it taste good. The duck breast was overcooked and a bit dry also. The cod was tasty but had a fair amount of bones in it.
We had a bottle of wine indigenous to the area, a ciliegiolo, which was nice.
