Part Mexican grocery, part home‑style taquería, La Finca wins fans for house tortillas, soulful salsas, and weekend plates like goat tacos. It’s the kind of unfussy, everyday spot locals point you to for deeply satisfying, authentic flavors.

I’m visiting from North Carolina, and La Finca came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! The food was amazing, with an authentic atmosphere that made the experience even better. The chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, setting the perfect tone for the meal. What stood out the most was the incredible value—the portions were generous, the flavors were outstanding, and the prices were surprisingly low for the quality and quantity of food. This is definitely a place I’ll return to on future visits, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience.

Food and service were great! Very reasonable prices. My Mom and I had the Burrito, rice, and beans for $6.99 each and we both had leftovers. We will definitely be going back! The salsa they serve with their chips is great too but it's very hot. So, if you don't like a lot of heat, ask for the green sauce.

This place is most always amazing. Food and service are great. People may not know that this place offers catering. We had them cook for our wedding and everyone loved the taste!

Me and my wife frequent here almost every Tuesday. As it is the last place we are aware of that has $1.00 tacos still for what used to be almost all of the Mexican restaurants in the Quad Cities. Now the stand alone with Bon Bon Tacos off Brady street raising the price to a $1.50 per taco on Tuesdays now with a limit of 15 per customer. The negatives on this establishment are that there are only two types of Tuesday tacos to purchase and its almost impossible to be able to get any of the carnita taco "which in my opinion are better" the other choice is chorizo which are still good but not my favorite choice. Last Tuesday the lady told me they were sold out of the carnita tacos by 2:30pm, and the previous Tuesday by 5:00pm. I find that pretty lame, and wonder why they just don't make more of the type that are in much higher demand. Also I do purchase a few specialty groceries while I'm there usually and find those to be fairly high priced. In addition to that they have a big sign on the front door saying they DO NOT ACCEPT EBT. Which I find pretty ignorant considering the establishment is obviously losing a high volume of revenue not taking that form of payment like their competition a couple streets over. A big positive about this place is that they have a very very friendly staff. The lady doing the sales for the kitchen on the Tuesdays is super friendly and accommodating. Other staff members on the front register and in the back at theminmi meat market are really nice too. Makes your whole experience better when you enjoy the people your purchasing from. Also got to see Davenports finest frequenting the establishment carring out quite a few bags of food for the whole fire station I would presume. 🌮🌮🚒🚒

5/5 - We had one order of steak tacos (soft shell) and steak burrito. All the food was very warm, great taste, and only took a few minutes to get to our table. The chips and salsa are amazing, but not for the feint of heart (it's a bit on the spicy side). Food brought out with red sauce (about as spicy as salsa) and green sauce (pretty mild, but amazing flavor). I myself loved the salsa and red sauce, but my other half was barely reaching for the green sauce :D

I went 55 years in life saying I would never eat anything that "looks back at me" (fish with head on, shrimp/crawdad, etc), but then I tasted their Tilapia and I am "hooked". I don't care that it's got a head on the plate! It tastes so awesome it might become a weekly meal for me.

Google
This place is awesome! Huge portions and huge flavor! $7 burritos (the girth is real on these)! Pretty busy during lunchtime, but you can call ahead for takeout. Authentic mexican food done right!

Google
Easily one of the best tacos I have ever had. I ordered asada, al pastor and tripa tacos (total six), asada burrito and menudo soup. They were all great and tasted pretty authentic to me. They make their own tortillas that are thin and super airy. It was really hard to close the taco due to generous amount of meat in the shell. In short, flavor itself can be the only reason to visit this place. However, this place is also extremely affordable to the point where I think their pricing is probably less than reasonable. They only charged me $40 for all I had ordered. That is crazy. I live about an hour away from this place but I am willing to revisit the quad city just for this!

Yelp
I went there yesterday and had an enchilada meal. I eaten at many Mexican restaurants. This is by far the best. I spent $12 and I got 2 and a half meals. I highly recommend LA Finca's

Yelp
Absolutely amazing Mexican food! Friendly staff, quick service & a cute little grocery store attached. Will be back. :)

Yelp
Hair in my food and when I asked about it they told me that it isn't hair and it is seasoning.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing and really affordable. And the service was incredible. Our waitress was very attentive & made sure we were happy with everything. 10/10 recommend!!

Yelp
Hands down an authentic Mexican restaurant and grocery store. This spot is a hidden gem in west Davenport but well worth a trip. When you enter to the left is the grocery store/convenience store and heading straight back takes you to the restaurant. The food is amazing and extremely favorable and price wise you can't beat it. The portions are great, and the salsa is one of my favorites in the quad cities. I will say it may be on the spicer side for most but for me it's amazing. I've been here only once and did a call in order and was extremely happy with the service and that my food was ready at the promised time. I will come back and will dine in and the future! I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming again soon.

Yelp
They are in the top 3 Mexican restaurants in the area which is highly competitive... Authentic, plentiful, always crowded which is a great sign. I've eaten goat, fish, chorizo, etc.... All excellent! No frills atmosphere which suits me well.... I've seen a fight there too, but the staff (the ladies!!) ran the right guy off!! So be a bit careful, but my god the food is worth.. ADDED GOAT TACOS to pictures... fabulous food... Go to the grocery store next door .... WOW!

Yelp
I am new to the area and I am Hispanic, so when I say the food was good, believe me it was. I've gone a few times now because it's all good. I had fajitas once and tacos another time. They have this green sauce that is super yummy to add to tacos or your chips while waiting for your meal. Their tortillas are also homemade. The place is small but there is always room for a few more customers. The waitress was nice and attentive when I went in the 2nd time. She was checking on us from time to time so we appreciate that. The music is Spanish of course and we can never go wrong with that. I will definitely be back. Also my grand daughter loved their tacos and she is from the Minnesota area. No pictures this time, but will take some next time I am in for a visit.

Yelp
It pains me to leave this business a bad review bc they do have a good steak burrito & salsa at a reasonable price. So good in fact I always order a big jar of salsa to go. Two times now though I ordered salsa to go & they gave the extra hot hot sauce... Like anyone wants to eat that with chips. Smh. The first time it happened I let it slide. The second time I drove back down there & asked them to fix it. Instead of fixing it... they tried to make me sound crazy & say oh no that is the chips & dip salsa. Like I haven't had it a thousand times & no they put all kinds of chunks in their salsa. They tried to say it was just jalapeños & tomatoes sauce in their salsa. So irritating.. ya lost a faithful customer advocate.

Yelp
This place is authentic and a good price. We come here often and always enjoy. The burrito is a great deal.

Yelp
The food is sooooo good. I had an asada gordita and my husband had tacos al pastor y carnitas. HIGHLY recommend. The street is sketchy as all get out, but the people are friendly and everyone js bilingual.

Yelp
Face masks were worn, no social distancing. People were sitting next to each other. No hand sanitizers. Staff was decent. The food was overly hyped for what I had. I had steak tacos & it was not great. I was truly disappointed. The tortilla felt undercooked & broke as soon as I picked it up.

Yelp
Authentic and fantastic. Highly recommend the carnitas tacos! Was here on holiday and wish that I could have it more often, will for sure be a repeat customer.

Yelp
Listen I'm Mexican and from Texas and KNOW when I see real Mexican not that fake "Tex mex" shiiiee.. I got the azada torta and it was really good! Price was great for what you got .. in general I loved it and would definitely back.. I will say I was shocked that I actually found an authentic Mexican restaurant in Iowa! lol
google avatar

Jenna H.

Yelp
Burrito the size of my arm! Plus it was mostly meat, not a lot of fillers, but just the right amount. Definitely looks a little sketchy from the outside, but this is a great place for authentic mexican!Oh and before you load your chips with salsa, it's hot! Not the watered down store "hot" salsa you're used to :)

Yelp
I had 2 lengua, 1 cabeza, and 1 carne asada Tacos on Saturday. I ate everything but the styrofoam it came in. I was visiting QC's and had my inevitable taco craving. So glad I found this place.

Yelp
I've been a shopper at the La Finca grocery for a few years but only recently sat down to have a meal. I wasn't disappointed. On several occasions I have ordered the ground beef and chicken tacos. Once the beef was undercooked but after sending it back, it was delicious. The meat was flavorful and accented by onions and cilantro. The chicken tacos were even better since they serve marinated white meat chicken. On another occasion, my son ordered the carnitas tacos and loved them, calling the dish "the best Mexican meal he's had in a long time." My daughter loved the bean tacos. The rice and beans are very flavorful as well. A few caveats: 1. Service is VERY slow. Don't go if you're in a hurry. 2. I thought the table salsa was mediocre--too spicy and filled with strange ingredients. However, he green stuff they serve with tacos is excellent. 3. It would be nice if they had authentic Chihuahua cheese instead of Mozzarella. Despite these issues, La Finca is the best Mexican restaurant I have frequented in the Quad Cities.

Yelp
Best Mexican food in Davenport. I am a native of Southern California. Traveled all around the country looking for food that reminds me of Home and I always get let down terribly. This place did not. Real authentic Mexican food. Plus the store and meat selection is on point!

Maureen B.

Yelp
The food was excellent and we had great service. The margarita was perfect! We will be back soon!

Yelp
Just ate here yesterday for the first time, ordered the Carne Asada burrito, Carne Asada Torta and some steak tacos for our kiddos. Plus a side of rice and beans plus some horchata. Gotta say I was a little disappointed after all of the raving reviews! The tacos were seriously lacking any flavor to them at all, my 1 and 4 year old wouldn't even eat them :/ My boyfriend said his burrito was alright, my torta was super good but definitely missing something on it, maybe more avocado? We still struggle to find decent Mexican food in the QC compared to Chicago and even the Iowa City area!
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
Authentic and affordable. You can have lunch and shop for your favorite Mexican groceries. A great place to buy pinatas too!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
The people and food is amazing. The atmosphere was great. The place is a little hole in the wall and a little run down. But it is totally worth it. I would highly encourage you to go.

Traeger W.

Yelp
OMGG (oh my golly gosh) Is this real? Authentic Mexican food in Davenport? It is real...real, authentic, honest home cooked from scratch Mexican Food. I had given up on finding anything that even resembles real Mexican fair months ago, realizing that a drive to Muscatine would be my only salvation. Until I met La Finca. Carnitas, asada, lengua, El Pastor....it's all here! Huge portions, priced the same as the chains....but much better. They make their own salsas, tortillas, horchata etc. Go get cha sum!
google avatar

Kayla K.

Yelp
Best authentic Mexican in the QC and very very reasonably priced! Loved every bite of my burrito and the meat was so tender and delicious! Such a wonderful low key spot in west Davenport!
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
One of the first restaurants I've tried since moving here and I lucked out. Best carne asada I've ever had. Meal was huge, delicious and came with lots of avocado and fresh tomatoes and onions. One of the salsas was smoking hot but incredibly delicious. I'll be back within a week.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
My favorite authentic mexican restaurant in town!! Get here early if you love carnitas like me! They were out tonight so I'm having steak/asada instead and not bummed in the least. Grabbed my chocoflan too!!! YUM!
google avatar

Cynthia H.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is authentic. It was like I was transported back in time to my mother's kitchen and the tamales she made every holiday. The beans were excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful, a true gem.

Corbin L.

Yelp
Food is okay but they take forever. And when you ask them anything the girls look at each other and laugh. Wish there were real Mexican restaurants in Davenport.
google avatar

Ricky M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hole in the wall restaurants! Love the authenticity of their food and love how they prepare your food in a timely and efficient manner! They are one of the best in the Davenport area for authentic Mexican! I highly recommend it! I go here anytime I can!
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
2nd Best Mexican food in QC. Attached to a grocery store with a meat counter, so you know everything you're eating is fresh. Great beer selection. Great hot sauce options. VERY inexpensive. Everything I've had there is delicious. HUGE $5 burrito. I recommend the steak and chorizo burrito.
google avatar

Will K.

Yelp
Giving 5 stars cause this is the best authentic Mexican food you can find in the Quad Cities amongst all the other options that are complete garbage. It is located in the back of a run down Mexican grocery store. The carne asada burritos and tacos are as good as it gets in the area. The portions are large, and the food is pretty cheap. This place is a complete dive in an interesting part of town, but don't be scared to go in and try their authentic homemade Mexican food. As you walk through the backdoor, you hear Mexican music playing or Mexican soap operas on the tv. Sit down, order a tecate or corona, and fire right into the most authentic Mexican food you can find, cause it feels like you've been transported to the heart of Tijuana.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
Great burritos. Lots of rice, beans, meat, cheese and cilantro in there. Order a side of rice and beans too. The burritos are so big that by eating an entire burrito and side of rice and beans you will be full all day.
google avatar

Seth Y.

Yelp
A total hidden gem! La Finca is a great hole-in-the-wall spot for authentic Mexican food. The place isn't fancy and the menu is basic, but you're getting some really delicious stuff. The value is amazing. For $5 bucks you get a HUGE burrito (I go with steak). It's massive and the ingredients are fresh. Think the size of Chipotle or Pancheros, except much better and half the price. Great deal! I'll be coming here regularly. Really impressed.
google avatar

Mipso M.

Yelp
As traveling taco connoisseurs, our group rates La Finca VERY HIGH on national list. Let's go through the A+ checklist: spicydelicious house salsa, good tortilla (texture 'n flavor), hot 'n thick greasyfresh chips, and authentic non gringo/tex mex dishes like flor de calabaza quesadilla. It is very good.
google avatar

Sam W.

Yelp
This is the sort of place I love to find. Authentic hole in the wall, great food, nice people and very reasonable prices. I have tried the pork, the steak, the goat and the spicy pork burritos (all under $7 each). All good but the pork was the best. Tons of meat, rice, beans, pico and other greatness in these HUGE burritos.(2 meals in one burrito for me). I have also tried the chicken quesadilla (under $4). Im not a fan of the chicken because it was in big chunks, and not tasty at all. The rest of the quesadilla was great tho. Onion and cilantro and plenty of cheese. Asked for whole beans instead of refried but they said they did not have whole beans. What?

Yelp
For real authentic Mexican food in a town with no lack of choices, look no further than La Finca! Housed next to a little Mexican grocery, the restaurant side has ample room for the surprisingly sizable lunch time crowd. Like most Mexican joints in town La Finca offers a basket of chips for ore meal snacking. The sauces are hotter than most and tasty! The main bowl of sauce came complete with pickled peppers soaking in the red adobo style hot sauce! I had the bean tostadas as it was a Friday during Lent. One gripe I might have is to offer more vegetarian options. What they lacked in vegetarian options they sure made up for by offering several kinds of meat dishes including beef tongue, goat, and beef head! The pricing was comparable to the middle tier of local options. Very fair. I have heard great things about the menudo so will be coming back Saturday morning when it's fresh! Looking forward to trying many more options in the future!
google avatar

Kenneth M.

Yelp
My gf and I came here for dinner on a Friday night and we were less than wowed. She got the steak Mexican tacos and I got the carnitas Mexican tacos. Mine were fine but hers had lots of fat in the steak. You MUST know that although the salsa is homemade, it is SO spicy! I like spicy salsa, and my mouth was burning! The salsa they provide with the meal was red (spicy) and green (extra spicy). I couldn't use either of them. The tamales are just good, mine was a little dry. There is a Mexican grocery store attached, but we didn't do any shopping.
google avatar

Becca M.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! No joke. I currently live in Southern California, where tacos are my specialty. I came home to the QCA for Christmas break and wanted some quality Mexican. A friend recommended this place and I was so amazed. It is located in a little Mexican market, so it makes it lowkey and under the radar. But the food is outstanding and the best Mexican I have had on this side of the country!!! AMAZING, I tell ya!

Camille S.

Yelp
The best authentic Mexican food you will ever find in Davenport.... hands down!!!!! If your ever davenport this is the restaurant you have to check out. It gets really crowded at lunch time. It's def a diamond in the ruff.
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
My favorite place for Mexican food in the Quads. Limited menu done well. When they have mole it is super. Portions are generous and it is reasonably priced. Also love the friendly neighborhood ambiance

Mike G.

Yelp
Hard to believe this was our first visit here. You know it is gonna be good when groups of "locals" that know authentic Mexican food walk in too. Very spicy salsa and good, fresh chips started us out. Two of us got the combination plate which is a tamale (wow ) and three tacos of your choice. Son got a steak and cheese quesadilla and it was also loaded. Total bill with two drinks and tax? $25 . Can't beat that, and can't beat good, authentic Mexican food and friendly service either. Hooked on to a grocery store too. Don't be fooled by appearance, this place is spot on.
google avatar

Oshawn S.

Yelp
Best mexican food in the QC! The tacos and quesadillas are

Carl R.

Yelp
This place is the bomb - cheap tacos with well-seasoned meat. Decent burritos as well. Attached to a grocery store. Not the nicest place to eat in at, but great for to-go items. Awesome verde sauce and hot sauce. Been missing this place since I moved!
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican food and friendly service. Tacos are 1 dollar Monday and tuesday. They have REAL tacos, not that taco bell crap. I love the tacos de Lengua and tripas. The place is nothing fancy and you would probably not even notice it if you didn't know it was there, but definitely worth going to. There is also a small grocery store that sells hard to find food, candies, sodas, and other items imported from Mexico.

Zellina H.

Yelp
Hands down the best tacos I've had in the Quad Cities! Cheaper tacos than other restaurants. Salsa is absolutely flavorful and amazing- can't get enough of it!! Fajitas dinner could have more sides like lettuce, pico and sour cream. Still, at $10 for a fajitas dinner with rice and beans- you pretty much can't beat it. Try the goat tacos- only available on weekends and a little greasy but very flavorful. They just started wait service and the waitresses are very kind and accommodating.
google avatar

Ron G.

Yelp
La Finca serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Dine in or carry out. Their burritos are huge and amazingly tasty. I also ordered some tamales which were good but not the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Kari A.

Yelp
We just recently moved to the area, and we discovered this gem. We love to grab some carne asada from here and then go home and grill it for fajitas. Sooooo good.
google avatar

Randall G.

Yelp
A hidden gem - random location but great food and service. Best Mexican food in town. Yum!

A D.

Yelp
Awesome food. Had the pastor torta, chorizo tacos, and tacos legunas so good. Give it try. Good prices, great food, friendly people. Next time I'm in the area will be after it again.

Romelia A.

Yelp
Well, unfortunately I don't feel the same way about La Finca. First they took their time to wait on us and kept ignoring us until I flagged down a waitress. They messed up our order I ordered 3 tacos and they brought me the wrong tacos all dried up. I asked them to correct my order and they ignored me when I flagged them down for the second time. The waitress asked me "oh did you still want your tacos?" And I'm like I've been waiting so, there went another 20 min. Finally I said I don't want them anymore because all my party was done eating . My granddaughter ordered a quesadilla and tamale they brought her quesadilla and never brought her tamale so I had to go and track down her tamale and they finally brought it to her without a plate and handed the tamale to my grand daughter in her hand without a plate, I than said " where is her plate?" And had to go to kitchen and ask for a plate for her tamale by this time the tamale had already gone through 3 hands! "Literally"So disappointed in this quality of service!!!
