I was looking forward to try this place after discovering it through the Guide Michelin.
I made a reservation for a Sunday lunch. On that given Sunday someone from the restaurant telephoned me. Nobody has my private details and I did not recognise the number so I picked up the phone expecting an emergency, not expecting a restaurant to call me on a holy Sunday! As it was 'just' the restaurant and I was busy I asked them to send an email.
So they did write me, asking to decide on what kind of food I wanted to eat. I am a man who eat out because I love food. A gourmet if you will. What I am not is a person that can make decision about food I have never eaten, while not being present in the ambience of a restaurant and without the smell, the vibe, the winelist etc., which is why I wanted to visit the restaurant in the first place.
Anyways after writing back and forth with me stating that I would decide upon arrival and the restaurant insisting for me to make my decision before, I ended up canceling my visit, as it is a 1.5h drive and they left me with bad vibes. So many alternatives to chose from. Maybe I'll go one day and combine the dining with a weekend away. But discussing what to eat without being present is a total no-go.
