I would have gladly given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for one server who completely ruined our breakfast experience on the morning of June 26, 2025. Overall, the customer service was great except for one young server who clearly needed more training. She never greeted us, so we seated ourselves at a table that was missing basic utensils. After getting our food, we returned to find there were still no forks or knives. I approached her politely to ask for some, and her response was a flat “yes,” with no greeting or courtesy. She dropped the utensils on our table without a word and walked away. We then needed napkins, so rather than dealing with her again, I grabbed some from a nearby table. She later came over, visibly annoyed, huffing and puffing. When I mentioned that if she didn’t like her job, she shouldn’t be working in customer service, she completely lost control and started going off on me. It was an unfortunate and uncomfortable experience that put a damper on our morning. With proper training and professionalism, this situation could have been avoided. On the good side: Breakfast buffet beats all the luxury hotels I have been to! Absolutely amazing options and delish! Dinner was one of the beat of our trip. The show during dinner was great! We enjoyed singing along. The rooms are ok, no AC but leaving windows open during the summer helps. Phones were not working. The hotel decor was amazing! We loved every piece and enjoyed the bouncy house in the back! We will come back! Please train your staff!

I’m not sure why so many other bad reviews - we had a great time at the hotel! It was very peaceful and quiet in our room on the 4th floor, never heard any music from the lounge or bar. We only had one issue which we notified reception about and they came swiftly to fix it. We enjoyed staying here!

Four of us stay 2 nights in this boutique hotel and we have glorious time here. The room is compact with basic need. The breakfast is so yummy with many varieties that we can't stop eating. The front desk staff, Arnaud and Laura are very helpful and resourceful, highly recommended! thanks

We went there for a couple's weekend away, I would say it was not at all the quality level we expected from a 4-star hotel. The standard room we got was really really small and the level of cleanliness was not high. The hotel has a great view and it's perfect if you want to party and enjoy the evening with their music and DJs, not that much if you want to sleep and rest. We had to ask the staff to be moved to another room because during the night we couldn't sleep because of the loud music, even at breakfast the speakers were loud; not for noise sensitive people at all! (we requested if they could lower the volume but the answer was "No!")|We booked this hotel also because of the SPA that was under renovation work, the only sauna open was filthy with stains... |Also the breakfast was not super, I had to highlight to the staff that the soy milk clearly went bad and I didn't even receive a "I am sorry madam" for the incident. For sure we won't come back.

The La Folie Douce Hotel in Chamonix is not merely a hotel, but an unforgettable experience. Originally the Savoy Palace Hotel in its Belle Epoque hey day before spending time as a non descript Club Med, the hotel has been repurposed as a young funky hotel aimed at the hip set. Fear not, the concept works. From the fantastic crowd pleasing restaurant to the constant entertainment of singers and dancing troupes and acrobats, you will have a fantastic time entertained by this inhouse cabaret show. The hotel is close to all the action and makes for an excellent base for those keen to explore Mont Blanc and surrounds. We definitely will return and spend longer here next time as it was a whole lot of fun!

I had a wonderful and peaceful birthday at the spa. The facilities were relaxing, and everything was just perfect. The absolute highlight was the massage and facial treatment by Laurinne P. – incredibly professional and soothing. Thank you for making my day extra special!

La Folie Douce is a party hotel so don't go there expecting peace and quiet! Location is very good - central and close to the gondola that will take you to the Brevent/Flegre piste. The breakfast is outstanding with a huge selection of food options and lots of seating. The rooms are not good - very basic, no ventilation from toilets or bathroom and very little space. If you're out skiing all day and partying at night then this shouldn't put you off - we really enjoyed our time here.

The location is ideal. You have a great view of the mountains. It's a close was walk to shops and restaurants. However, don't arrive early and expect to go to you room. When they say check in is at 4pm they mean it. We arrived at 8am from the US and had to wait in the lounge for 8 hours to get to our room. The lounge was comfortable but they were playing loud music. So it was difficult to relax. It was 80 degrees that day and there was no air conditioning in the lounge or the rooms. If you sleep with a CPAP don't forget to bring european charging heads because the is no US plug near the bed. The walls are thin and you can hear people partying and yelling all night. The breakfast buffet was really good. However, If you can stay at another hotel in the area.
