Lacked some basics, a main light in the ceiling and coat hooks by the door. Lack of hooks meant that our coats were often having to be staid across the floor. However enjoyed the room and the hotel. Amazing entertainment, bars and breakfast

We spent Christmas week at the hotel for a family ski trip. It is a very nice hotel in a perfect location. The town of Chamonix is beautiful with lots of restaurants, shops etc within easy walking distance. ||We’re kind of up in the air about the hotel. I would call the service we received subpar at all times in the bar and lobby area. Everything was slow and they seemed to be understaffed. I can appreciate that it was Christmas week, but when you’re spending that amount of money there should be certain standards. ||No hot drinks served after 6:00pm at the bar. No real bar menu to speak of or for food after 9:00 pm. Only way to get something to eat was to sit in the restaurant or walk to one of the locations off property. Menu in the restaurant was underwhelming. No coffee other than instant in hotel rooms. Shower was a dance of burning hot to ice cold with very little water pressure. We had a Mountain View room with a spectacular view. The rooms are very tight, but I guess it’s to be expected. We had no trouble with king bed and servicing of the room was adequate. Every time we called the front desk, no one answered. Only way to speak to someone was to walk to the lobby. There are 2 elevators and one of them was out of service the entire time we were there. ||I will say that the ski shop downstairs was exceptional. The guys running the shop were friendly, attentive and quick. They did a great job even when they were at their busiest. If the front desk and bar were run like the ski shop, this would be a totally different review. The hotel is very nice, and the location is absolutely perfect. Which makes up for a lot. We would definitely go back to Chamonix, but based on this experience we might think twice about staying there again. Not to say it was a bad experience because it wasn’t, but someone needs to step up and pay attention to the details.

This modern hip decor hotel located near central Chamonix is popular with visitors and tour companies. Interior decor is eclectic. Many corporate businesses choose this hotel for events due to ample indoor and outdoor space. Many amenities such as spa beauty, entertainment such as arcade games, pool table, games room, swimming pool will keep guests of all ages occupied. Restaurant serves amazing French cuisine with great live music and dancing show each night. Delicious food and great presentation, attentive friendly staff. Great bar that hosts dance parties most evenings, bar man is friendly. The party gets wild and loud, which can be disturbing to hotel guests trying to sleep so beware about this. Rooms comfortable and modern. On site parking available but gets full so may need to park at nearby parking lots.

Great hotel. Very good service. Tasty breakfast! Location is just spot on, with amazing views! Nice large rooms with contemporary bathrooms. A fantastic terrace with refreshments and drinks in the pool. There is also a car park for many cars.

We stayed at La Folie Douce Hotel Chamonix from February 4th to 9th and had an incredible experience. We decided to walk from the bus station, which took about 15 minutes. As we got closer, we were in awe of the stunning, historic building, beautifully lit up against the night sky. The atmosphere was electric, with funky music filling the air, setting the perfect mood for our stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the reception staff, who were very helpful. Our room was cozy and comfortable—though not the biggest we’ve stayed in, it was well-kept, with daily cleaning and fresh towels provided. The entertainment at the top bar was fantastic, featuring singers and dancers performing live. Outside, a DJ kept the energy high, with fire pits on the tables and even a Pizza Hut nearby. The bar was well-stocked, with plenty of staff ensuring drinks flowed smoothly. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices—fresh coffee and juices, different breads, bacon, sausages, eggs, cereals, and more. The bar prices are on the higher side, so bringing plenty of euros is a good idea. The outdoor pool is a must-try, offering a unique and refreshing experience. The lift just behind the hotel takes you straight to the top of the mountain, where you’ll find an incredible mix of black, red, blue, and green runs. We absolutely loved our stay and will be returning next year with our family. Highly recommended!

This awesome hotel has some fantastic couches, which are even fun to sit on if you have good company and good wine. A little hot in the lobby, most likely due to cheap renewable French electricity, but nothing that a little air won’t solve. A fun night was spent in this place, which is definitely a party place. Highly recommended!
