What a wonderful restaurant!! Several rooms in two floors, fast and friendly service and delicious food. You definitely have to try the milanesa, the best I have had in argentina. On top of that the prices are lower than average in Bariloche. A must visit if you are around.

We really enjoyed our meal here and thought it was one of the few places that had good value for your meal. We split a Milanese as it’s huge, a side of potatoes, gnocchi and wine for only 40,000. We were happy with it. It can get quite busy so we recommend coming early.

Really interesting experience. Be careful though, since we waited 1h45 in line in order to get in (arriving just after 9pm on a Thursday in January). They brought us little pieces of Milanese and lemonade while waiting. Service was generally very friendly and efficient. Food was great value for money. Nice experience!

I don’t understand all the good reviews. Ordered trout with potatoes ½ chicken and a side salad. Trout was very dry, and the potato was one of the smallest potatoes I’ve ever seen, for $17.500, around 17USD at time of writing. The chicken had a piece of paper attached to it, which the kitchen tried to convince us was chicken skin, even after taking a macro photo clearly showing paper structure. Eventually they took it off the bill but this took some convincing. Salad was all of 1 tomato and a handful of lettuce for 5USD, and had a nice surprise piece of plastic in it.

This place was recommended by a friend for their Milanesas. It didn’t disappoint! Tasty with lots of melted cheese…. We had the beef and chicken milanesas and both were great! Worth your visit I assure you!

Google
What an interesting place! At 07.45pm there is already a huge line in front of the restaurant. At 08.00 you get in and then everything works super fast and professional. It's a huge place so I would guess 100 people capacity. The ordering is fast and flawless, food arrives quickly as well. Compared to Bariloche prices its cheap, especially if you pay the dishes for two! Milanesas are good! I would not go for the suiz one though. That's just an enormous amount of cheese.

Come early! There is a wait before 8 and worth the wait! So much food, enough to share! It's all in the sauce! Pasta or milanesa is a must! Delicious! Great view if you get a window seat and has 2 floors enough to seat a lot of guest and flip tables to seat those waiting outside.

Yelp
My Uber driver recommended this place, and I'm glad I headed his advice to come here. El Tio claims that they created the Milanesa. And although it may seem that it is true, I know for a fact that they make the best one. This is a must visit when you are invited Lucia. The food is amazing, and the portions are humongous. Forewarned, if you order a full plate of the Milanesa, You better have an appetite. I ordered the mashed potatoes, chicken, Milanesa, and the steak Milanesa. All were super amazing. You will not be disappointed with any dish that you order here. The place is pretty big, but with that being said, you have to make sure to come a little bit early to make sure you don't have to wait in line. This is a very popular spot in Bariloche, and I've heard that the lines to get in could sometimes last an hour , I showed up 30 minutes before the place open, and I was one of the first people seated. I recommend that if you are coming to eat here. Overall, this is a must visit while you are in Boca. The Mila was incredibly delicious and I'm glad I got to taste Milan further, so claimed inventor of it.

Yelp
Food was not great. Their provenzal fries are just undercooked French fries with raw garlic on top. The milanesa suiza, a traditional milanesa de res con queso, has a ridiculous amount of cheese on top to the point where it is not edible. The service was okay. They would give me the wrong beverages. This place has a very long line -- over an hour. Not worth it to wait this long at all.

Yelp
There was quite a line when we got there which apparently is normal. The waiter was friendly and helpful. However, the food was just okay, not very flavorful.

Yelp
We ate at La Fonda del Tio twice in five days. That's how good it is! The menu is high quality Argentine comfort food. The portions are huge and the prices are great for a tourist destination. We ate milanesa both nights and almost finished the whole thing between two of us. The service is fantastic. Highly recommend you visit this restaurant when in Bariloche.

This is my favorite place to eat lunch in town. The best cheese smothered milanesas in rio negro!! Great wait staff! Be prepared to wait for a table, it is busy cause it is the best!!

Yelp
Great local food!! Good wine, 1/4 of a pitcher of wine covered few glasses. Their daily specials are delicious; huge portions and not expensive. Juices and beer are sold in 1 litre only, no small ones. IMPORTANT: This place is cash only.
