"For authentic Mexican tacos featuring handmade corn tortillas, head to La Fondita. Chorizo tacos and enchiladas are crowd favorites." - Mekita Rivas, Tim Ebner

"Another slight detour on Decatur Street takes you to La Fondita, which looks and feels like it’s based in someone’s home. The taco menu is extensive — a favorite is the tacos de enchilada, filled with spicy pork. There’s a quesadilla stuffed with huitlacoche (corn fungus), a delicacy that dates back to the Aztec empire." - Tim Ebner

Amazing local spot. Food was great, staff was friendly, and prices were extremely reasonable! Tried out the fried bananas, the mole enchiladas, and lamb tacos. Salsas were home made and amazing as well

Overall a solid 3.5 The food was definitely reheated food from previous days, the barbacoa was definitely not fresh, the rice was frozen because I had piece that were all cold and together Tortillas were cold as well Server was extremely nice First time here and probably last tbh, had high hopes since it’s in the RVD area The place is very nice and a bit crowded, feels like your eating at a living room lol Parking is limited

I can only tell what I have seen in this place. I haven't eaten here yet. I only come here for business. But I can tell you from what I see the place is crowded and when I look around the place everybody is smiling while they're eating and that indicates they are enjoyi g the food.

I went to celebrate my birthday today. And honestly the food at the place is way better than any other fancy expensive restaurant. I know sometimes is quality over quantity but this place has both quality food good quantity and very cheap. I been to restaurants where the food is so expensive and not even authentic Mexican food. I feel at home eating here. Who would've thought that a small place will have such delicious food.

This restaurant was phenomenal. Super delish and easy. Pretty cheap too. Would highly recommend. But it was a little hot and took a little while to get the food. Other than that, really authentic and yummy.
