We were only here for a festival (chili & beer fest), but it was an enjoyable visit. It's definitely not the most amazing venue I've ever seen, but that wasn't the expectation, either. Still, it's not without its charms and flaws.
Charms:
* Nice interior, paneling, sconces, adornment, etc. It looks like it would be a lovely venue for a reception.
* Since it's right on Route 2, access is pretty simple. It's literally on the route, and it's only a few minutes from I-97. Very convenient location.
* Decent accommodations include pretty clean and updated restrooms.
* The food was pretty tasty. We only got to try their chili, but it was a smoked brisket offering, and it was delicious. If the rest of their food echoes this entry, then I have to imagine it's pretty wonderful.
Flaws:
* Parking is a joke. They don't have enough spots for a large crowd, and the lot itself looks dangerous to walk over without extremely thick soles. I was literally worried about picking up tetanus or some other disease.
* The facility, while nice, still looks outdated, especially on the outside. It could use a fresh coat of paint (or two), and some modernization here and there. The carpets were okay, but maybe it's time to replace them as well.
Overall, a decent venue, especially for the area. If I lived nearby, I would definitely consider hosting a fete here.
