We decided to take some time to re-discover the Marche Jean-Talon. Walking inside, we saw the traditional fruits and vegetable market. Upon reaching essential point in the market, we noticed this place that sells pies. The reviews were so good and the pies look so delicious that we couldn’t help ourselves. Plus it was in around lunchtime so we decided to snack on the chicken pot pie and have the pecan maple pie as dessert. Both pies were really delicious. We managed to find a place to sit just in front along the corridor. Everything was good. The one thing we wished was different was the method to reheat the pie so that we can have it on site. It appears they reheated it in the microwave, which I understand cooks faster, however we might’ve preferred the freshness had it been warmed up in a small, toaster oven, even though it takes slightly longer to warm up. at least we would’ve had that crunchy bite feeling. But it’s not the end of the world. We could’ve also grabbed the pie and brought it home and reheated it ourselves in our own toaster oven.
They have small bite-size pies, which are perfect for a snack on the go. We recommend checking this place out and grabbing yourselves a pie or two.
