The 10 Best Restaurants in Fort Lauderdale Beach in Broward County | Eater Miami

"The Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort gets a lot of love for its rooftop with panoramic city and ocean vistas. Its coastal Italian restaurant deserves just as much buzz, with house-made pasta concoctions and a memorable grilled octopus bedazzled in a cracked olive salad."

The 10 Best Dine Out Lauderdale Dining Deals, 2023

"La Fuga is the Lauderdale spot for an upscale Italian fix this August. Helmed by chef Michael Mayer and tucked in the Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, the poolside restaurant is participating in its first Dine Out Lauderdale. For $55, the three-course meal features a mix-and-match of bruschetta, pappardelle, pesce spada alla Siciliana (swordfish fillet topped with a sauce of olives, tomatoes, and capers). Close the evening with a dessert staple like homemade cannoli, panna cotta, or tiramisu. The menu is available for dinner daily starting at 5 p.m." - Jesse Scott

This was our first time dining at La Fuga and thoroughly enjoyed it! We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in the door. We chose the outdoor dining by the pool. It was very peaceful, pretty, and relaxing. Our waiters Jonathan and Daniel were very gracious and helped us make our dinner selections. We ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and I had the gnocchi and my husband had the veal and potatoes. Everything was delicious! Our waiter brought us limoncello for our after dinner treat and shared with us the process of how they make it. That was pretty cool! We really enjoyed our entire dining experience and will definitely return!

FANTASTIC restaurant!!! Beautiful ambience…. I’m here now and it is gorgeous weather sitting outside by the pool…. Food is delightful!! Sourdough bread with a wonderful little thing to dip it in… Kale salad was delicious and the gnocchi is an absolute must if you like pesto! Creamy pesto sauce with smoked tomatoes, and pine nuts could not ask for a better dish!! Service was impeccable!!! James was my server and he was great! Very on point from getting me water, to food and wiping my table between courses :)

This review is a little delayed, but I’m very happy to now share my experience at La Fuga. I visited Fort Lauderdale for the first time, traveling from Seattle in early to mid September for a work symposium, and stayed an additional 5 nights for vacation with my boyfriend. On September 10th we were happy to find la Fuga online, walkable from our hotel. When we walked in we were greeted by their bartender Steven, who was so kind and friendly, happy we were there. Steven ended up being our server as well. Our dishes were so delicious, and we were having such a great time, we decided we should come back for my boyfriend’s birthday 2 days later. We knew it would be perfect and it was. Steven treated us like friends, and he went out of his way to be our server again. He knew it was my boyfriend Steve’s birthday, and he went above and beyond to make it special. We had their specialty scallops dish that was cooked to perfection, kind of crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside served on a bed of mashed celery 😋… the best scallops we both had ever had! After dinner, Steven brought out champagne, and a chocolate tart topped with raspberries, swirled with “Happy Birthday” chocolate sauce with a candle. See pics. La Fuga is a must if you’re ever visiting Fort Lauderdale or especially if you live there! Best food, best service from the entire team! I wish there was a la Fuga in Seattle!

Google
Incredible food! Incredible service! And great atmosphere. Daniela and her dining staff, Daniel and Ricardo, were awesome and very attentive to our every need. Four of us were dining, we ordered the lasagna, steak, and flatbread. we also got the meatballs and kale salad. All food was cooked to perfection and very delicious. We finished dinner with the tiramisu. This was also very tasty. We 1000% will be back.

Google
Their scallop appetizer is really good. For some reason thought the margarita pizza crust was too salty, almost like they used salt on the pizza paddle instead of corn meal. It was cooked perfectly though. The lobster ravioli was definitely made in house. The proportionality was off though. A bit too much lip compared to center which made it awkward to eat. The filling was watery lobster meat and I couldn't tell there was ricotta in it at all. The sauce was mildly spiced and good , especially on the bread. Service was attentive at first, but turned into effort to get the check. It seems you're paid more attention if your bill is high or you are a larger party.

Google
YES, you want to try this spot out! We had a great experience dining at the bar, and on this Thursday evening, there was a fabulous live singer. The bartender Steven explained their craft cocktails in great detail and had awesome customer service. Highly recommend the cacio e pepe risotto osso bucco! The carpaccio was also great. At the end of the night, the manager Frank was gracious enough to give us a ride back to our hotel in one of their Cadillac golf carts!

Google
La Fuga GOOD: Excellent sides, pasta and sauces. Steve provided wonderful, dedicated service BAD: Price for the entree quality, some entrees fell flat and although new, the restaurant could use a moderate, modern makeover We were surfing Yelp and decided to try La Fuga, an Italian-focused menu with some seafood. We all enjoyed the veggie sides including the brussel sprouts and brocolini. My diners pasta with clams and and meat sauce was very good. On the downside, my chicken dish was over cooked and dry despite the dunking of sauce. For 26$ it was barely a thigh, maybe a quarter at best. Our party reported the cheese wasn't fully melted on the pizza. Prices are generally very steep with veggie sides running between 7-9$ Finally, it sounds picky but the dining space is wide open so the very old dining floor really stands out giving it an older, dining hall feel. A strip with good sythetic wood flooring would work wonders and compliment the beautiful frontal view of the pool.

Google
We found La Fuga because of its location to where we were staying, walked in and sat at the bar. At first, dark, but many people inside, 8:30p on a Thursday. Steven the bartender came up and his knowledge and customer service was awesome. He made his own Cosmo mix, made his own old fashion mix.. We had the carpaccio which was not your typical, we then split the Caesar salad, homemade croutons, fresh anchovies. My friend had the Cacio E Pepe Risotto Osso Bucco which was by far the best dish I’ve eaten in a long time. My meal was the Pomodoro Papadelle with veal meatballs, and it was also really good but the Cacio was the star of the show. It was my friends birthday, so the staff prepared a bwonie dessert. The manager Frank was also very hospitable, we had a few drinks and needed a ride back and he was gracious and enough to give us a ride in the Cadillac golf cart! Highly recommend

Yelp
I had a great experience during Dine Out Lauderdale. Or group ordered many things off the menu and all our dishes or excellence. The staff was friendly and the environment was great. Their regular menu prices are also reasonable outside of the Dine Out special.

Yelp
LaFuga has a lot going for it: a warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and a menu that reads like it's auditioning for a Mediterranean romance novel. Naturally, I dove in. I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

Yelp
Place was deserted on a Thursday night. Best thing was the aperol spritz for $9. Worst was the linguine with white clam sauce that was mostly and oddly chewy razor clams. Both the octopus and branzino and dip for the bread tasted the same. So if you don't love puttanesca, you will be disappointed. We should have been told it was all the same and we would have chosen differently. Prices are high. The 4th dish was forgotten by the wait staff. Hard to believe since no one else was there for at least the first hour we were. So many great options in the area. Sorry we do not understand the glowing reviews.

Yelp
La Fuga is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale. We enjoyed wine and the excellent singer on Thursday night and an exceptional breakfast on Friday morning. We will be trying dinner on a return visit. The breakfast menu had some very unique food choices. We both had the egg breakfast which was fresh and very tasty. All items were high quality and the price was $12. The service was friendly and prompt. The interior dining area has a nice vibe and there is also outdoor seating near the pool. I highly recommend La Fuga and will be back.

Yelp
A taste of Italy in Fort Lauderdale... Parking: street parking available. It is inside a the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel Drinks: great Italian wine selection and full bar Food: I'd call it Italian fusion. There were six of us and we tried the rigatoni pasta, pizza and branzino. Everyone loved everything. Service: great server. He also gave us free Limoncello shots before we left. Atmosphere/vibe: we went on a Saturday night and tried out the "Dine Out Fort Lauderdale" menu. They had a live bad. Great looking place and vibe but it was only 20% full Age group: 30's and up Bathroom: clean Return:sure but not in a huge rush

Yelp
The food and service here were great! Our waiter was very helpful and the food came out relatively fast. The bruschetta was delicious, and the waiter made sure there was enough of it for all of us in the group (4). The gnocchi was also delicious. I do wish there were more vegetarian options, or options to make food vegetarian but otherwise a great time!

Yelp
This place is an amazing. You'll love the vibe with the pool view. Located in the Kimpton Fort Lauderdale & and about two block from the main strip it's perfectly located with great food. The service is amazing. They are extremely attentive and they will anticipate your needs. Thank you, Johnathan, Emily. Gio, Daniel, Richardo, Steven . You're welcome in advance.

Yelp
I can't say enough amazing things about this restaurant! The ambiance, the food and the service were all fabulous! Steven, our bartender, anticipated our every need. All of their mixers are made in house, (by Steven himself.). We lucked up and came in during happy hour (on a Saturday!) and were able to order some delicious small bites at a great price! We had the slider and meat and margherita pizzas. While chatting with Steven, he learned about my past love of SATC and cosmopolitans. He gave me a taste of the best Cosmo I have ever had! I highly recommend it! The next time I'm in town, we'll definitely be back to La Fuga for their delicious food and wonderful service.

We loved La Fuga! Great food, great service! I had the bolognese and caprese salad which was yummy! The inside was very cute and served up an authentic Italian meal!

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday for a coworker's farewell party & I had recommended this spot for its $10 martini night. Happy hour is okay...not to be rude but the sizes for the meals on the HH menu is laughable, literally we all did. $5 for less than 5 bites on the caprese salad, same with the bruschetta, $3 for 3 baby tomatoes on one piece of toast. $7 slider was very good and I'd say priced decent. Pizzas are their saving grace because the pistachio one was killer & at a reasonable price. Service is decent with a hint of sass, one of our party members asked if they could pay and our bartender responded "well a couple people from your party already did so", mind you we were the only people at the bar with maybe 4 tables max in the restaurant. For the most part they were nice but that comment caught me off guard. I found this place to come on a weekend during jazz so would love to come back and hope for a better bang for my buck. Beautiful space & all drink and food were presented beautifully.

Yelp
A wonderful dining experience. Nestled in the Kimpton Shorebreak. A lovely space with a modern aesthetic with 1950s flair. Our amazing bartender/server, Steven, whipped up some tasty drinks while suggesting some of his personal favorite dishes from the kitchen. We kicked things off with the Italian mojito and the butterfly pea flower spritz. Both were light and refreshing drinks that leaned toward the sweet side. We started with the fresh baked bread and house made tapenade with oil and balsamic, which was so yummy and a good omen for the meal to come. . We ordered the Calamari and Mussels, the oxtail risotto, and the prosciutto and fig pizza. Everything was fantastic. The calamari and mussels were cooked to perfection. The oxtail risotto was incredible. The oxtail was so tender. The Barolo reduction was so rich. The risotto was perfectly al dente with just the tight amount of bite to it. This is not always the case, most of the time when I order this is comes out mushy. The pizza was a grand slam. Very nice crust with fresh pesto paired with the salty bites of prosciutto with pops of sweetness from the figs and the goat cheese with creamy unctuousness that brings the whole pie together. Overall an amazing experience top to bottom. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. Shout out to Steven the bartender for making it a wonderful evening.

Such amazing service... and killer food and drinks. Would absolutely come back. Server Gio was outstanding and so attentive to ALL of my allergies.

Yelp
Another neighborhood gem Great food, great people, good prices. Definitely going to be one of my go to's.

Yelp
Ambiance was romantic and nice and service was pretty good. We found some small flies in the ravioli, and when we told them about this, they kindly offered to give us a new dish. The pastas, however, were underwhelming. The pasta seemed to be a bit overcooked, and the sauce was average.

Yelp
Went to La Fuga for a pre-cruise, I'm on vacation meal. Mainly because they had grouper on the menu (online). Get there, seated promptly, service is excellent. No grouper on the menu? Waiter says it's been taken off (and two months later it's still on the online menu? Suggest you call ahead if that's what you want to see if it's on the menu. Ok fine. I ordered the grilled octopus with cannellini beans which was very nice; perfectly cooked. For my main since they didn't have grouper I ordered the dentice all a genovese (seared snapper). Was a little dry (overdone) and honestly, I thought it would have a little more flavor with capers and artichokes but not really. Disappointing. But: I also ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts, and they were PHENOMENAL! The truffle honey really accents the flavor of the Brussels sprouts. By far the highlight of the meal. Ambiance was nice, low-key dark and moody. Fairly quiet, too; even with a big party "outside" the main dining it was quiet. And service was, as I said, exceptional. I'd rather give 3.5 stars but that's not an option. I would go back.

Yelp
We are staying at this hotel. We went down for the Friday "social hour" and asked about where we could sit to enjoy our wine. Because it was Valentine's Day they were extremely busy. However, they did have one table that could seat a party of six that was available. Our group was 4 so they let us sit there, and we proceeded to order food for dinner. Everything was delicious, and we received roses for Valentine's Day. Service was very attentive and food was very tasty!

Yelp
While staying at the Ritz Carlton in Ft Lauderdale, my husband had a yearning for a dish of fresh pasta. My searching pointed to La Fuga. What a wonderful find! The restaurant is inside the Kimpton Hotel. We arrived a short time after 5 and were warmly greeted by Jorge. He told me later that he is the bartender, however he was our server and made wonderful recommendations. He displayed the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. The food was perfect and he graciously accommodated my husband's somewhat unusual request to add bronzino to his order of pappardelle. A truly enjoyable meal!

Yelp
A 5 minute walk away from our Condo on Birch Road , and one Block from Ft. Lauderdale Beach , I was hoping it would be good in this cozy place in the Shorebreak Hotel. It isn't just good, it's Fantastic!!! Great service from Frank the Mgr , and our server Dani. One of the best Caesar Salads I've ever had, as well as a Pear Kale Salad that was tremendous. Superb Artisanal Eggplant and Ricotta Pizza , that was exceptional. Lemon Cello aperitif, on the house after Dinner !! Don't miss it ! When you find it, you'll be happy you did!

Yelp
A lovely warm Florida evening at a local hotel brought us here for dinner. The wait staff was attentive and we were seated quickly without a reservation. After we spent a few minutes with the menu we chose 2 pasta dishes. I had the frute' de mar and my girlfriend had the Bolognese. Both lacked a lot of flavor but were ok. My dish had less seafood than I expected. After red pepper flakes and some salt we were able to enjoy our dinners. On the plus side, the wage staff was very accommodating and brought me gluten-free bread. Later, the live music started, and it was quite nice. Overall, a nice experience, but nothing special. Yes I would go back and try it again.

Yelp
Inside the Shorebreak Resort, La Fuga was called by many a hidden gem in the area. The dining area is spacious but dimly lit. I came around 6 pm on a Monday, and it was pretty empty. I ordered the Espresso Martini, and I was impressed they used Casamigos Reposado instead of the traditional vodka. I thoroughly enjoyed it before and with my meal. For my meal I ordered the Raviolini all'Aragosta Fra Diavolo. Hands down the best lobster raviolini I've ever had. The spice from the fra diavlo sauce paired well with the lobster (stuffed inside the raviolini and chunks in the center of the plate). I was also given bread that when dipped in the diavlo sauce was scrumptious. Since it didn't come with any sides, I ordered the roasted brussel sprouts. The pairing with hazelnuts and truffle honey blew my mind how delicious it was. I'm glad it was such a large portion so I had some to take home. To end the night I was given a complimentary Limoncello. As much of a lemon fan as I am, I probably won't try this again lol. I found it extremely bitter. If you're in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, stopping here needs to be on your list of places to try!

Yelp
I had been meaning to check out La Fuga for awhile now. Located inside the Kimpton Shorebreak hotel, this restaurant has a lovely decor and a view of the courtyard pool. And on this Saturday night, there was a jazz duo playing which only added to the nice ambiance. We sat at the nearly empty bar and ordered drinks and dinner. The drinks came up quickly and were well poured. I wish I could say the same about our food. It wasn't that busy so I was surprised by how long the food took to come up. Even the bartender keep going in the back to check what had happened as there was a huge lag time. We waited so long to eat that the jazz duo had stopped playing and packed up before our food came. By this time we were so hungry so we flagged down a busser to ask for some bread, which when it came was hot and delicious but we didn't want to fill up on that but of course we did. At about the same time the bread arrived so did my appetizer of Tartare de Tonno (tuna tartare) which was quite good! When the food finally arrived, it smelled great and tasted even better. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese for my entree (bolognese is my go to in most Italian restaurants as it gives me a basis for comparison) and my friend had the Veal Milanese. The problem was it came so late we ate very little of it and took it home for another night (that darn bread!). This should have been a 5 star review as the food was good when it came out and was great as leftovers. This must have been an off night as I do not see any service/pacing issues in any of the other reviews. Too bad for us.

Yelp
La Fuga never disappoints. We went back last night for our third time for my wife's birthday dinner. Everything was amazing. Attentive service, relaxing atmosphere, and great food! Our waiter Javier Ricardo was great! We can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
I can not for the life of me figure out why this restaurant was nearly empty upon our arrival. It is a bit off of the beach path, a block or two, but serves absolutely fantastic authentic Italian. I was delighted to find out the pasta was house made. The restaurant is located inside the Kimpton and has a stunning midcentury modern vibe with its centerpiece being a gorgeous bar. All is accented by the beautiful scenery of the pool outside. The service from start to finish was attentive and polite. I was not a fan of the espresso martini, I think the orange essence was too much for me. The food, however, was impressive. We started with the scallops, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifully. The pastas we ordered were large portioned and exceptional in taste. Highly recommend to fix that Italian craving.

Yelp
We just finished our dinner at Fuga. It was very very good. What really impressed us was the staff. They were super attentive. The manager helped us with our wine selection, and we weren't disappointed. Try this place. It's off the busy blvd....we loved sitting outside by the pool. A fun evening.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good vibes here. We sat outside by the pool for dinner in a relaxing setting. Perfect after flying all day! Our server was great and so was the food. The pizza with the goat cheese was excellent! The bread was delicious! The bolognese was delicious and the Caesar salad yummy! There were 3 of us and we all shared with some to take home. The prices are reasonable too!

Yelp
Great ambiance, service and 5-star food The polo sauce was excellent, with lots of both green and black olives... a bit spicy. My wife said her kale salad was the best she ever had. Our waitress Maria-Anna was very nice and handled our extra requests completely

Yelp
Special thx to Stephanie, Mr Leo, Danny, Steven and Will. My parents 62nd anniversary was amazing because of you!

Yelp
We had a large party of 20 on short notice and they were very accommodating. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed it immensely. The next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale La Fuga will be on my list to visit.

Yelp
Recently discovered this place online and reviews looked good so I had to give it a try. However, the food was some of the worst I've had in a while. Went with a group so got plenty of apps and dishes. Pizza was ok. Bolognese was one of the worst ones I've had. It was flavorless and the noodles were hard. Filet mignon with Gorgonzola wasn't bad but was a little underwhelming. Filet was really tender but a little undercooked. The broccolini came out cold. The lasagna was probably the best dish, but also the most expensive lasagna I've seen. Service was good, but came on an off night so it wasn't that busy. Manager was really nice and professional My guess is the only reason this place survives is because it's in a hotel and the tourists don't know better. But would not recommend. Don't like leaving bad reviews but the food was pretty bad.

Yelp
We had a great time this Nye at La Fuga. Impressive execution led by chef Michael. Kudos to him and the staff. Food: We started with a canapé of bruschetta with roasted tomato, carpaccio and tuna. Delicious and a perfect bite. The mussels and calamari would've been good if it was in a broth. It was cold and chewy and the mussels lacked flavor. The squid ink pasta with octopus and olives was good, never had olives in my pasta so that was fun to try - I've had better octopus. The stars of the show were definitely the main entree (Wagyu filet topped with truffle foie gras) and the Panna cotta ! The live jazz was not so lively - it was great for dinner but we needed a bit more spunk to ring in the new year. All in all, great dinner, delicious drinks and stellar staff.

Yelp
We go there for breakfast every weekend ... shout out to Rosie and Akash ( servers) and Jessica (manager). They are simply terrific! Love, love the breakfast menu.... You cannot go wrong... my husband's favorite are the Eggs Benedict, mine is the egg white frittata ( vegetarian)! Ambiance is amazing overlooking the pool. Inside/outside dining... just a gem in the Shorebreak Hotel, Fort Lauderdale... FYI... if you like Rose wine, it is half price all day Sundays! Great value. Enjoy!

Yelp
Best Italian food in Fort Lauderdale! The mussels and calamari were magnificent. They have a special butter for dipping, and it was warm and tasty. Also, the truffle honey brussels sprouts were perfect. A must try if you come to La Fuga. Jonathan our server really made our experience even better and answered any questions we had.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was excellent. I would definitely go back. The roof top was confusing as the restaurant was on the ground floor when you walk in, so it's not a rooftop restaurant, but restaurants that has a rooftop. Overall it's very nice though and had live music.

Yelp
What a beautiful, authentic restaurant. All staff members were so polite and friendly from the hostess to our waiter, James. The ambiance gave you this home-y feel with the warm tones and mood lighting. The food was so tasty and beyond amazing, most of the items are made in house. The complimentary limoncello hit the spot. We are so happy we found this hidden gem and looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
On the first floor of the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, you'll find La Fuga Restaurant. It's a large restaurant of modern design, a good décor, with a large comfortable bar outside, by the pool, patio seating, and a pool bar. We had a couple of cocktails at the bar. Beloved had his scotch on the rocks and I had a Woodford bourbon Manhattan. Both drinks were of generous pours and very good though I noted the cherry used in mine was of the less costly brine as opposed to the marinated type. Though they don't use tablecloths, the dining is still elegant. The menu is basically Italian with a wide range of choices. Beloved had their carpaccio which was super eye-appealing and tasty with its sidings of pickled shallot, caper, parmigiano, and leafy English rocket. I went for their Cottoletta alla Milanese, which was a veal Milanese, golden potato puree, and Marsala mushroom sauce. The mushroom was unbelievably totally delicious. For dessert, we shared a delicious tiramisu enhanced with espresso ladyfingers, Kahlua, and mascarpone cream. Then to our surprise, we were given both complimentary limoncello and orange cello drinks. On another occasion, I had their Sword Fish which came as a good cut perfectly enhanced with a vinaigrette sauce. It was totally delicious and Beloved had their Gnocchi Della Casa which was of a true pork sugo, butternut squash, fennel, and basil combination that was honestly one of the best, most tasty dishes that either of us has ever had. Then, of course, that meal too was followed by a complimentary limoncello Hence, La Fuga is a Yelp five stars to me.

We didn't have a reservation and on Valentines they were able to find a table for us on the patio that overlooks the pool! Great service, very attentive. The food was great, we shared tapas for the whole table. The patio is very pretty overlooking the pool. There were some loud birds but they finally quieted down.

Yelp
The service was Prompt and courteous, we ordered the margherite pizza and the eggplant pizza as well as the lobster ravioli. The eggplant pizza was excellent, the other items were delicious too! 4 stars because the pictures were deceiving , there's no ocean view and it was a bit pricey but overall good experience.

Yelp
Party of 6, dinner Saturday at 7pm. No wait. Friendly and prompt service. Drinks were just right. I didn't have a bite that I did not like. The octopus was delicious! I really enjoyed the kale salad and added the grouper filet. Overall great food and experience

Yelp
The food. The music. The service. Everything was top notch! Javier, our server, was busy and somehow managed to make us feel like we were VIP! The food is not your average Italian. It has a high end flare to it that makes it stand out. The veal Milanese with mushroom sauce was to die for! And their lobster Diablo was delicious. The music was an added bonus so we chose to sit inside and it really made our night! What a fabulous addition to central beach. Highly recommend! We will be back!!

Yelp
We've dined here multiple times now for their breakfast/brunch. This restaurant is located inside the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel. Their breakfast menu has a nice variety of options, is a good value, and even has a kid's menu. Their food is flavorful and fresh. The coffee and juice selection is also a nice option as well. The service is always consistent - no complaints here. The patio area is very nice and allows for you to have breakfast on a covered patio. We will be returning and I would like to try for dinner next time.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale. The ambiance is amazing; very soft, grown and sexy. Jonathan, Kevin and Alan gave us the best service. They were attentive, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Jonathan gave us great recommendations. Visit the rooftop! The view is amazing up there! 10/10 experience

Yelp
I'll start with the good - the food was good and we were seated immediately for dinner. Music playlist was 50s Rat Pack, which fit the vibe of the restaurant. Meatballs were delicious. Husband enjoyed his mojito. The Kale Tuscan salad was good - order w the dressing on the side, unless you like a salad drenched in dressing. Linguine Di Mare was packed with flavor. Husband thought the snapper was over cooked. Now the bad - when you tell your server that you do not want dessert or coffee and will take the check, but it takes 15 mins for said check to arrive in a relatively empty restaurant (5 other diners), that's a problem. She walked by several times, but only brought the check after I had to loudly ask again, since my hand gestures and 'excuse me,' weren't doing that trick. Also a sign of poor service, waitstaff standing around chatting amongst themselves as opposed to checking on their tables. This is what took our waitress so long to bring the check, she was talking to her coworkers. Nothing against conversation with your teammates, but do that after you have completed your tasks, so you're not leaving your table in limbo. Of course, what happened as we exited, hostess and waitstaff crowded around hostess stand chatting, and not a 'good night,' or 'thanks for dining,' from the group. Just not good - certainly doesn't make we want to revisit or tell others to give it a try.

Yelp
I was very impressed with our whole experience. The decor is beautiful and atmosphere was relaxed but chic. The bartenders, William & Steve, were absolutely wonderful. They had such enthusiasm about the food which resonated to us. The food was incredible! William & Steve were super attentive and made the evening perfect. To top it all off, they were dog friendly and allowed our very old little pup to sit at the bar with us. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

Yelp
Service 5 stars - Wilson our server was awesome! Super attentive and accommodating. He made the whole experience better Food 3.5 stars - some hits and some misses. The complimentary warm bread with dipping sauce and Linguine Fruittu Di Mare was delicious. The bruschetta left much to be desired and same with the lobster ravioli - they were both average. Indoor and outdoor seating by the pool is available. They also had this large outdoor couch by the pool that is ideal if you are looking for their more casual fare.

Yelp
We stayed at the Shorebreak which is the hotel associated with this restaurant. Naturally we wandered downstairs to explore food options and decided to try La Fuga. It was empty when we sat down which was surprising because this place is So cute! They took our orders promptly and the staff was really nice. I was also impressed with the prices because it wasn't that typical overpriced restaurant menu. The ambience is very chill and relaxing with some old school music playing in the background. You can sit outside by the pool or indoors. The food is amazing and has great food options for breakfast! Plus, COFFEE. Overall, this place is a must try. Since we are local we would probably even stop by just to visit the pool and restaurant.

Yelp
Went to LaFuga last night as me and the wife stayed at the Ritz Carlton for a night in Ft Laud. From the great reviews we decided to try this Italian restaurant out. Kind of disappointing.I selected outdoor seating, but when the host took us to the patio outside it was quite a surprise. It looked like we were seated at a motel patio/pool. It was odd and not what I expected. The waiter was just ok. I won't mention his name, but several times we had to ask for ice for our sparkling water, several times my wife had to ask for cheese and red pepper. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but he ended every conversation with "beautiful." So, if I ordered the Branzino he would say "beautiful." If my wife asked for ice or cheese he would say "beautiful." What's beautiful about asking for more water, or cheese? My Branzino was decent, but my wife ordered what was "homemade pasta" Tagliatelle, but she said it was made like egg noodles. It was expensive and my wife was not happy with it. That being said, the host who was a French guy, was a decent guy, and gave me a limoncello drink before we left. In addition, there was someone who was helping our waiter out who was fantastic. Honestly, we won't be back. Too many better places out there.
