The food was amazing and very authentic. Every dish was prepared with care, the flavours were rich, the portions were generous, and everything was beautifully presented. The restaurant had a charming, homely vibe, and it felt more like dining in someone’s home than a typical restaurant. Gianni and his wife were very friendly, welcoming and happy to chat. Booking in advance is recommended, as it’s a fairly small restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Gaetana has easily become one of my favourite restaurants in Phuket. It’s small and cozy, with a warm, personal atmosphere that feels like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home. The owners put real passion into everything—from the menu to the way they talk about each dish. The food is consistently excellent. Ingredients are fresh, portions are just right, and the flavors are balanced with care. You can tell there’s love in the recipes. The pasta is a standout, and their specials change often, which keeps the experience exciting every time. Service is another highlight. Friendly, attentive, and thoughtful without being intrusive. You get genuine hospitality here, not scripted service. It’s definitely a place where you take someone when you want them to understand that Phuket has serious dining talent. Make a reservation in advance—the restaurant is small and fills up fast. Highly recommended if you appreciate honest, beautifully prepared food and a cozy dining experience.

We had an unforgettable dining experience last night. Every dish we tried was truly exceptional — from the variety of delicious starters to the perfectly cooked, flavorful pastas that were some of the best we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and unique, making the whole evening even more special. And to top it all off, we ended with the most incredible tiramisu — the best we’ve had in Phuket!

I've been here several times and every single dish has been exceptional. The atmosphere is homey, the owners are so welcoming and the service by the team is absolutely stellar. I recommend booking in advance (the best way is to call), especially if it's during the weekend or public holidays. I really recommend you to experience this restaurant when you visit Phuket.

Absolutely incredible! This Italian restaurant is a true gem. The owner is amazingly friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure every customer has the best experience. Every dish, from the starters to the main courses, was flawless – bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. And the dessert? Pure perfection! Not a single thing disappointed. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian food and exceptional hospitality!

Absolutely fantastic! We had a group of 7 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was amazing and the restaurant was so cute! The owners are so nice and friendly. Will definitely come back!

The restaurant is located at the Bang Neaw intersection, directly across from the shrine. Parking is available along the street or inside the shrine grounds. The owner, originally from southern Italy, has lived in Thailand for many years and speaks Thai fluently. It is highly recommended to order wine here, especially selections from southern Italy, with a particular focus on wines from Sardinia.

From the food to the owners, this is a very special restaurant. We had the olives and carpaccio to start (which were perfect) and then homemade Gorgonzola and porcini pasta and anchovy pasta. The husband and wife who own this place are super hosts and terrific ambassadors for this cosy Italian slow dining restaurant. The chef/owner was so courteous and attentive all night entertaining us with great conversation and lovely stories about his animals in Thailand. He even prepared our puddings (unskippable tiramisu) at the table which felt very special. The only thing I forgot was to take a photo of the house wine on 23.3.25, it was lovely… if the owner could tell me what it was I’d be very grateful.
