"There’s a simple, cosy quality to La Gordita thanks to its narrow dining room with a wooden floor, brown leather upholstery and soft lighting. It’s got a lively atmosphere too, a great accompaniment to the authentic Spanish sharing plates that pack in plenty of flavour – the terrific anchoas de Santoña is a real stand-out dish. Friendly service enhances the experience, and the extensive menu lets you sample as much as possible thanks to the sensible pricing." - Michelin Inspector

Beautiful restaurant. Amazing staff. The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh, flavorful…perfect way to start my trip in Dublin. La gordita books fast, make your reservations early! Highly highly recommended!!

Wow what a find. Spanish style small plates with larger options for sharing. Intimate setting, with some small tables and seats at the bar (where you can see into the kitchen), friendly staff knowledgeable about the menu, and absolutely killer margaritas. We ordered the Bread with Garlic (should've got 2), Scallops wrapped in belly pork (chefs kiss), Tuna brioche toast (fold it and it eat like a taco) and the star of the show the Chuleton, sharing ribeye. One of the highlights of our trip.

At the start they offered this shot Chef’s special and it was on the house, which was really nice, very tasty and delicious! We ordered the: Achoas - it is tasty and whoever loves anchovies it’s a nice experience. Tosta de atun - Tuna with a lot of vinagre taste and soaked, it was good but nothing special. Tortilla Vaga - This is definitely 5 start food, very tasty and well made . Filete a la pimenta - I found very grease and lack of seasoning and creativity on preparing this dish. Patadas trufa - very grease too as well as the filete a la pimenta. The overall food was ok, but the price charged doesn’t align with the food. Obviously you pay for the place named Michelin 2025 and the environment which is very nice. There is an option to order a rice as a side, I believe I should’ve ordered that to feel satisfied with the amount of food (which is very pricy and very little and don’t expect anything special but the average )

Really nicely executed Spanish food. Recommend to mix with rich dishes and some salad or dish with acidity to cut through. We had octopus salad which was really refreshing and succulent, not rubbery at all. Enjoyed Ray wing and Arroz but it’s getting too rich having them both dishes together. Black rice was cooked on point. Other people next to us even asked us what that is which is a good sign making them jealous haha Plenty of drink choices as well. We asked Sangria which wasn’t on the menu but bar staff was kindly accommodating. Refreshing with good amount of red wine in it. Brings us to Spain right away. However, feel a bit disappointed that price is set really high. Nibble/Starters around 15 euro, main dishes around 30-40 per person. Easily spend +100 per person here. It’s somewhere for special occasions for sure but won’t be able to afford to come here often unfortunately.

We went to La Gordita for a birthday dinner and it was very nice! The atmosphere inside feels like a warm hug, especially at the bar area. The food is tasty but it's pricey and portions are very very small. Definitely recommend ordering the paella and patatas bravas to feel full after the dinner. They said they suggest to order 4 plates per person which would be very pricey with the drinks. Overall a very good place for a nice occasion.

They usually recommend 5 to 6 dishes between two people, but the rice dishes and the osso bucco are quite filling so take that into account! The service, food and wine was amazing, we had the Villa des Croix white wine, paired very nicely with the seafood. Would deffo recommend and visit again

We were really looking forward to our meal here but left a bit disappointed and quite a bit lighter in the pocket. Starting with the positives, excellent service and a great atmosphere. Some of the food was very tasty such as the fried rib eye and the tortilla. Other dishes were quite disappointing and not great value for money. The 1 main gripe I have is the bread starter with roasted garlic. We paid €4.50 for half a slice of sourdough (that's not a joke) along with a bit of roasted garlic. We were encouraged to get 2 of these by our waitress and we did but I thought it was a joke when 2 x half slices arrived. Most restaurants give out bread for free so I have an issue with this and something you really should take a look at. Mussel starter was served with crisps (yes crisps) and the mussels tasted like tinned mussels you get from the spanish supermarkets. They certainly weren't fresh from Ireland. This was €15.50, again, not value for money. Bill for 3 including a bottle of overpriced wine was over €230. I have no issue paying good money for good food but La Gordita, in my opinion, doesn't serve authentic Spanish food/tapas. Harsh I know but there you go!!
