Traditional Latino Vendors Struggle to Pivot to Delivery During Coronavirus Crisis | Eater LA

"An Oaxacan institution that is available on mainstream delivery platforms such as Doordash, Grubhub, Postmates, and Uber Eats, making it more visible to diners using those services." - Bill Esparza

Iguana Mole Now on the Menu at LA Restaurant Sabores Oaxaqueños | Eater LA

"I view the original Guelaguetza space on 8th Street as an iconic pillar of LA’s Oaxacan community: it first opened in 1994 and is remembered as the first traditional Oaxacan restaurant to open in Los Angeles. That 8th Street location held deep community importance—Valentín Granja worked there as a manager for 20 years and Germán as a server, and it’s where Valentín met his future mother-in-law, Dominga Velasco Rodriguez, who worked as chef de cuisine there in 1995 before moving to Guelaguetza’s Olympic Boulevard address. Rodriguez is respected for her moles, especially a wonderfully smoky, earthy mole negro, and her forty years of cooking reflect the matriarchal, indigenous traditions that underpin Oaxacan cuisine in LA." - Bill Esparza

The food flavor is so good, generous portions. Kind staff. This is the only place that has Tlayudas(traditional dish in Oaxacan cuisine).

We ordered steak and chorizo tacos, along with a chicken quesadilla. Everything was so flavorful and delicious, they also put a lot of meat on your tacos which is great! The green sauce they give was my favorite, but my boyfriend argued that the red was his favorite. Definitely recommend

Pricey for a food truck but super worth it. Excellent staff. So cool to have Oaxacan style food right in our backyard. Blue corn tlayudas!! So crispy. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Just gonna be honest. Place is amazing. Authentic food. 10/10 thought it was gonna be good, but was absolutely blown away. Me and my wife got 3 Carne asada tacos a piece, and a cheese quesadilla with Carne asada. Food was freshly made and hot, honestly it Absolutely fire. Amazing flavor, sauces - the orange one lit me up but was so good, green was super creamy. Wish we had food like this in SWVA. We just don't unfortunately. We are in Richmond for one night and we googled this place. Thank you for the awesome food and outstanding service

Yelp
They had the best Al pastor I've had in the city. The carne asada was good but a little dry but the flavors were good. The green sauce was good but spicy, a mix of cilantro and fresh jalapeños. The lady at the window greeted me with a smile and was very friendly. They don't have a menu and the items displayed on the truck is what they offer.
