"Do you remember when you were a kid, and your parents promised you an ice cream cone in exchange for doing something insufferable (like hugging a weird distant cousin)? Well, if the bribe involved Passyunk Squares’s La Guerrerense, their success rate would’ve been 100%. The Mexican ice cream shop has a sweet cream base, so it’s thick, but still smooth and rich. They have over 25 flavors, including standards like vanilla and chocolate, but where they make their mark is with ones like Gansito, mamey and guava, and piñon and papaya." - Candis R. McLean

This is our taco lunch spot at work and everything is delicious. I actually bought a chamoy pickle kit and tried it too. Well worth every $$.

I strongly advise against ordering food from the meat market. The quality of the meat was extremely poor and, unfortunately, over 15 people became ill after eating it. There were also noticeable hygiene issues—flies were hovering over uncovered food items like jello and bread. I reached out to the owner to express my concerns, but they didn’t seem to take the situation seriously. Just a heads-up to anyone considering eating here.

Hands down THE BEST Pan Dulce!!! I bought a concha and it was soooo soft and delicious. I bought a chicken taco as well, very flavorful. So happy to find a new spot in Cypress!!

Went in for some meat for caldo de res and some chicharron on Monday right before the snow. I was surprised that they sell it during the week and when I got home and tried it, it was very good and meaty. I requested chicharron carnoso to make it with salsa verde and it was so yummy! The meat for the caldo I made was perfect and I think they are fairly priced. I’m glad to have found this carnicería near me for my future needs!

Excellent tamales de elote. Delicious tacos. Friendly staff — they were willing to work through my kitchen Spanish. I’ll be back.

The floors are always dirty. The food is very dry and looks like it’s been there for days every time I get an item here I have to make sure it’s not expired and they’re super racist to American people The La Michoacana is so better never come here!

The most delicious food! One issue I had trouble with was getting someone to speak to on the phone. Based on their business profile, I called 3 times & the call went on for a duration of time. There was no answer & no voicemail during my attempts to have someone answer. The reason for my call was to inquire about a certain pastery. It would have been nice to speak to an employee. I hope in the near future this can be remedied.
