The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was full of flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They made me and my kids feel so comfortable, which meant a lot to me. It’s not always easy dining out with children, but they were so kind and patient. We will definitely be coming back!

Great place. If you are thinking of hosting a wedding, quinceañera or any other event, this is your place. This location is amazing, has great space and the food was delicious. Restaurant area has many delightful dishes to choose from.

You don’t go here for the atmosphere. You go here for the food ;) She told me this was the biggest burrito she saw in her life. I have no choice but believe it. The food is great and made fresh. You know the food is good because the people are real. Don’t leave bad reviews where people work hard to make a living.

It was my husband and I’s first time visiting this place! We just moved to Oceanside July of 2025 and are still trying to find good places to eat, we always drive by this place and figured we would give it a try, I got the three cheese enchiladas with the rice and beans it comes with, it was sooo yummy. We also ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri and the owner made it himself for us! I received a complimentary heart shaped flan from the owner himself as well— he said his wife made it. Great customer service and affordable prices, he was very accommodating to our requests and checked up on us often. I recommend!

The al pastor tacos were not great, they lack authenticity, looked more like shredded meat then anything. Not worth your time and money.

We were the only ones in there which wasn't bad as we have a big family. Greeted and seated right away. Waitress was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of well. Food was pretty good.

Absolutely incredible family-owned restaurant. Highly recommend. Best salsa in all of North County. The owners greeted us and were so extremely kind and have been at this location for 20 years. The parking lot was full. The restaurant was full with people still trying to be seated, late on a Monday night. I have been telling everyone about this Mexican restaurant. I love supporting local businesses, especially when the owners are so amazing, kind, and friendly! Great place with so many low prices!

So my wife and I are very very very picky when it comes to food. We are foodies and not afraid of trying new places. This is definitely a great kept secret, the food is hella good, the beans are delicious and who ever is cooking there better stay. Noel the owner is amazing and very friendly! The place is very clean and we got an invite to dancing this weekend. If you have had any bad experience with this place in the past, give it another chance, try the churros!

Friendly waitress and manager. Delicious Birria tacos and Consommé. Hubs had carne asada plate: generous amount of flavorful lean carne, beans and rice good. Reasonable prices. Complimentary chips were under par but I really liked the salsa. Restaurant was clean and basic. Finally got a chance to visit La Hacienda! I felt like I was in Mexico! I loved it! It was taco Tuesday, so tacos are only 1.99 each with a variety of meats. I highly recommend this place!

The food tasted delicious. The taco shell was a bit too greasy for our liking. We came on a busy night, so the service was a little slow. But their smiling faces and welcoming attitudes made us feel very welcomed. It was like family inviting us in! We left Four Tunas and came here and will definitely be back!! Thank you for a lovely date night.

The birria and al pastor tacos are sooooo good! There was maybe one or two times that it didn't hit as great, but still good. Totally worth the $2 Tuesday!

Glad I went in. Delicious food, excellent service. Chips & salsa were fantastic. I had the chicken tortilla soup, which was great. Fresh bites of tortilla. I also got the surf and turf fajitas, which were at least two servings if not, three worth of food. I got pico de gallo, which was excellent. Overall, I gave them an A+ and will go back. They have a bar, I just did not have a drink tonight.

Love this restaurant! Locally owned and has exceptional staff. My favorite is the quesa birria tacos. They also have a really grand banquet hall that is perfect for birthdays, wedding receptions, and other fun events! Always stop by when La Hacienda whenever I am in the area.

Amazing service, incredible food (especially those pollo tacos) and an overall atmosphere that feels just like home especially for those who grew up in a Mexican household. I'll never understand the low ratings and negative comments about La Hacienda. The staff is always kind, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is great, and everything comes out quickly. My only complaint? I just wish they opened a little earlier that's how good their food is! But I have to say, La Hacienda's salsa verde is increíble, out of this world! It's hands down the BEST salsa verde I've ever had, and I would gladly pay for it by the bottle. Please, PLEASE consider selling it, I need this salsa in my home! Is there any way I can purchase it? Thank you!

Excellent customer service , I love this place. Asada tacos are my favorite But they have many other choices.

I really had my mind set on some delicious cheese enchiladas and had heard good things here. I ordered though door dash . For one, they're still using styrofoam! No no no! My enchiladas were very dry and the cheese not melted. The beans and rice were okay. The flan was the best part of my meal. I keep looking for that perfect enchilada!

Great food and at the right price. The experience is like home cooked mexican food and the chef knows his stuff. We were impressed and will be back. Friendly service too and they are under NEW MANAGEMENT.

Loved this place it's non pretentious, serves great food, provides excellent service. Ordered street tacos and shared an enchilada plate. Everything was freshly prepared, and served in a timely manner. Will be telling all of our friends and family to visit this place.

No need to cross the boarder for amazing Mexican food y'all, this little place has everything you need, I just ordered a carne asada burrito and coffee and a small churro Sunday and it was such a great meal, I can't wait to try more of their menu. Try this place, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The service was wonderful and thoughtful. I look forward to coming back, 6 stars.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I normally do not like to send things back or complain but they kept getting things wrong over and over and over again to the point where it either seemed like a prank or intentional. They got our order wrong literally 8 times. It started the waitress asking, what can she get us and then walking away before we even ordered. Next, my husband ordering a Corona and the waitress brought him Modelo. This was just whatever and we didn't say anything. The interesting thing is, they brought a Modelo, but asked if he wanted another corona.I ordered a blended strawberry margarita with salt on the rim. They made it on the rocks with sugar on the rim. I ordered cheese enchilada meal without sour cream, and a side ordered of flour tortillas. They brought me chicken enchiladas. My daughter ordered crunchy potato tacos and they brought her Carne Asada. They took the orders back and brought back a new order. They got my daughter's order right but messed up on mine again. I got cheese enchiladas without cheese on top and just clumps of cheese inside not melted. It was nauseating. I should've taken a picture, but it slipped my mind. I just wanted to eat at that point. I sent it back again because there was no way I would be able to eat that. It was also extremely cold. The plate wasn't warm and they sauce was cold. I ordered another margarita. This time a blended house margarita with salt. I thought there's no possible way they could mess this up. Wrong. It was all ice And maybe one to two steps of alcohol/flavoring. I got my dinner for the third time and I was super hungry. They forgot my flour tortillas which I like to have for my rice and beans. I had to ask them for it again. At this point, after them messing up on my enchiladas three separate times, and everything else, I lost my appetite and just took it to go. They didn't charge us for the tortillas or for the margarita, but I honestly think after messing up EIGHT TIMES they should have not charged us for anything.

The most random place ever, but with the kindest service, best tacos, and tastiest mixed drinks ever. The staff is super welcoming, and food is made fresh. The horchata was freshly made when we got there, and atmosphere very casual and comfy. Enjoy!!! We love their burritos, but tried the freshly made chill relleno just because! Loved it!

The new owners are super friendly and nice. They were there when I stoped by and they introduced themselves. I love the birria tacos, adobada tacos, and carne asada fries. I will definitely be a regular here.

This place is under new management, and we decided to try it for Valentine's Day. It was delicious! I would recommend this place for sure ! The staff is so welcoming and kind ! Love the food and love the atmosphere of the waiters ! Great homemade Mexican food !!

I always call my order in for pickup. sitting there smelling all the food cook that i didn't order drives me crazy. I know its just meat, beans, cheese, salsa Fresca, guacamole y crema but the way they combine it tastes soo good. I wish they were open on Mondays so I could slide in for a carne asada burrito. This place has a space in the back for family gatherings and offer catering and dj services. If that's your thing, this is your place. Sorry I don't take pics of my food before I eat it but Trust me, ITS GOOD!!

Ordered some food from La Hacienda via Uber Eats on a Saturday night. Never tried them before, but after looking at their extensive menu in the Uber app, we were excited by the variety. So in order to sample as much as possible, I ordered all of these: * Cali Burrito * Beans, Rice & Cheese Burrito * Fish Tacos (2) * Bean & Cheese Taco * Steak Taco * Cueritos Taco * Chorizo & Potato Taco * Picadillo Taco * Chicharron Taco (2) * Horchata Agua Fresca So, yeah...we tried a bunch of things and unfortunately most of them were very unspectacular. The burritos were awesome. Some of the tacos, for the most part, were not. The chicharron tacos were soggy (I was expecting fried/crispy chicharrons). The Cueritos taco was rubbery. The Picadillo Taco was good actually - something I haven't seen or tried from other places. Same with the Chorizo Taco and Carne Asada tacos. All of these were good, or met expectations. The bean & cheese tacos were also okay, but the fish tacos were terrible. The fish was almost burnt and very flat. Anywhere else, the fish batter would be light, and airy with flaky, buttery fish inside. These were some of the worst fish tacos I've ever had in San Diego. I might try La Hacienda again, just because the menu looks so good, but I know some items may end up tasting terrible. It's a gamble.

La Hacienda serves what is arguably the best sit down Mexican food in North County. It is also one of the only late night sit down restaurants in Oceanside. The menu has something for everyone (including vegetarian), the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. The location and set up are very non-pretentious. For years, this restaurant was primarily a catering and event venue and put a low premium on the sit down side but is now under new management. I note that all of the one star reviews are from 2024 or earlier, before the new management took over. While it still operates as a catering and event venue, the restaurant side was recharged with new staff, updated menu options, and a really nice, friendly, small town Mexican family vibe. And this is a family style place, not fast food. So sit down, order a drink, relax and enjoy the food. Did I say the food was fantastic? I have traveled all over Mexico and California eating many styles of Mexican food. But I have yet to find a place with food as flavorful as La Hacienda. I would eat here just for the delicious homemade salsa for the nachos. But I recommend the full size Birria Tacos, Surf and Turf Fajitas, Tortilla Soup, and the greatest appetizer ever invented, Choriqueso. Enjoy!

I really love Mexican Cuisine and viewed this La Hacienda Restaurant & Party Hall website. Their photos of their Mexican food looks really delicious! This is my first time placing an online order from this La Hacienda Restaurant & Party Hall due to I wanted to try a new Mexican Restaurant. I browsed their online menu and decided to order the (3) Enchiladas. I had the choice of selecting the shredded Chicken, Potato or Cheese filling. I chose the shredded Chicken Meat. The next selection was either the green or red sauce. I chose the red sauce. These (3) Enchiladas are topped with melted cheese and sour cream, it also included the Refried Beans had a creamy texture to it and Spanish Rice was light and fluffy. The price of these (3) Enchiladas plus the Refried Beans and Spanish Rice is $15.55. I also ordered the Sweet Tea in the regular size cup. The price is $3.00. These (3) shredded Chicken Enchiladas with the red sauce topped with the melted cheese and sour cream was very flavorful. The shredded Chicken Meat was very tender and it was really delicious! The red sauce has a mild flavor to it plus the melted cheese and the sour cream was a great combination. Then I drank sips of the Sweet Tea. This Sweet Tea has a Mexican Cinnamon Spice infused in it and it is very refreshing and tasty. I really enjoyed eating this Mexican Cuisine from the La Hacienda Restaurant and Party Hall. These are the fees that was charged to my credit card account today. The Delivery fee is $2.99, the Service fee is $2.78, the Dasher Tip, I chose for Hannah my Dasher Driver is $4.50, Hannah was very friendly to me when she arrived at my house when she gave me my food order this evening at 6:18 p.m. It took approximately a total of (25 minutes) after I placed my order to be prepared and to be delivered by Hannah to my home. The 50% Discount off of my order was ($9.28), my total bill was $21.07. Without this 50% off discounted price from the Door Dash.com Delivery Service my total bill would have been $30.35. I really appreciated this 50% off discounted price from my Door Dash.com Delivery Service today. Next time when I place my order I would like to order one of their desserts like the Flan or the Sweet Cream with the fresh Strawberries, Granola and Coconut. I highly recommend La Hacienda Restaurant and Party Hall.

Jus ordered these biarria tacos and ours are burnt so burnt that the cheese is black on parts of our taco. So burnt these should have been remade burnt and no onions n cilantro on the side. Only two stars cus we got something else I could eat. Someone else mentioned on here they got burnt ones like this too, then was asked if they asked to have them remade? You guys shouldn't be selling burnt food wth these are suppose to be fire and reddish colored not black lmao Ok. She says it's not the cheese that's black, it is the cheese too. I understand you might use darker chiles but maybe you guys need to redo the recipe if you think this is acceptable and this is how they normally look. That's what you're basically saying and if they are remade they are still going to be dry and burnt looking and tasting too. This barely had any meat in it either. I wouldn't want this again remade either. It wasn't edible. Hopefully these reviews will help you guys understand you need to change this. All your other food looked great when I was there the other day this is jus unacceptable and is not going to make people come back for more of these. Sorry but this is burnt, it's not just the chiles. Maybe burnt chiles.

30 dollars for 8 mini street tacos took forever and they was not even busy and the tacos have like very very very little Cilantro and onions like they're being stingy with the cheapest shit you can buy And the sauce had no flavor .... on yeah and not one F'n Napkin

Ordered chicken nachos and flautas from here, to say the least the food was extremely bland. The salsa, the chicken, even the agua de Jamaica was flavorless. I've lived in Oceanside for a minute and I'd like to know WHO took over La Hacienda cause the food needs some help

We came here for Taco Tuesday. We wanted to try a lil bit of everything so we got cabeza,tripa,adobada, asada, and birria. They were so good that I ordered more. Then we got churro and flan, so delicious! Agua de piña was perfect. Service was very attentive, we'll definitely come back!

We finally tried La Hacienda a week ago. I'm glad we did because the tacos were great except the grilled fish tacos. My boyfriend took a bite, swallowed and complained that the fish tasted weird/bit too fishy. I took a bite and quickly realized the fish tasted spoiled. I couldn't swallow. Everything else was great! The carne, al pastor, and carnitas tacos were excellent. I ordered the flan which to me was quite small but it was still tasty. The kitchen took the fish back and didn't charge us so that was nice. I think it's a family owned business and the ambiance kind of feels that way. Don't go expecting grand decor because the inside feels almost "hole in the wall-ish", but that's usually where you find the best food. I'll go back for the tacos and to try other menu items.

To be fair, my rating is based on a DoorDash order so I can only speak to flavor. This was our first Mexican food experience while visiting from Tennessee. We had the Al Pastor Tacos which had a red seasoning on the meat and unfortunately lacked flavor. The Churro Cheesecake is regular cheesecake with a drizzle of sauce and a churro placed on top - quite disappointing.

My boyfriend and I have ordered carry out from here several times! Easy parking, and honestly, good ol' mom n pop style Mexican food. I'm partial to the fish burrito and surf n turf burrito. And our newest discovery is the cucumber chia limeade!

The breakfast burrito was excellent but the tacos were horrible. I couldn't even bite through the shells bc they were stale...

Decided to try this place again after a while and let me say the new Ownership is definitely doing its thing! Will be coming back soon for lunch ! Enjoyed it alot new staff is very nice as well

The food here is delicious and they make a killer margarita! Some of the best guacamole in Oceanside. I had the tortilla soup and it was so good. You can sit outside or inside to enjoy this wonderful restaurant!

Where do I start. This place has it all. Anything you get is bomb, even the simple things like fries. They have comfort treats like real Cafe de Olla, and a Flan that will cause your eyes to roll back. I've rented their hall for my daughter's sweet 16 and it was great. The staff are jolly with good vibes. Thumbz izup.

I was really excited to try this restaurant. The food wasn't all the way cooked, ingredients just thrown on top of other. No guacamole, it's just avocado, nothing else.

Wow what a disappointment. We have been wanting to try La Hacienda for awhile. We ordered guacamole and chips to go along with our micheladas. The waitress said we were just in time for happy hour. Well we didn't get charged happy hour prices. And the only reason I ordered one was because it was happy hour. So we paid full price for two micheladas when it was buy one get one free. The guacamole needed lemon and salt and some salsa. My husband ordered the pastor plate. The pork was dry and tuff. And lacked flavor. I ordered the mole enchiladas. I think they were the worst enchiladas de mole I've ever had. They were awful. Bland no flavor. The chicken in the enchiladas tasted old and dry. And it wasn't chicken breast. I saw the cook heating up my food in a microwave...what I can't understand is how do they get away charging almost $20 a plate when the food is awful- I mean awful. The decor inside- a fountain with dirty dusty fake flowers- things for the banquet hall were out. The tables were old. I don't get it. Also the cook got angry with the waitress while we were waiting for our terrible food. My husband said he should've taken else where to eat. We were upset we spent more than $80 on horrible food. Horrible decor and horrible atmosphere. I told my husband if they can get away with serving such awful food and charging so much then I need to open a restaurant. La comida estaba horrible. I wish we had gone to the cheesecake factory instead.I forgot my Jamaica water tasted gross and I sent it back. I should've sent all our food back instead of paying $87!

The food was so good that we decided to come back and make sure it wasn't just a fluke. I also find local restaurants (especially small family owned businesses) need a chance to make it and be a success more than those large chain restaurants. They need local neighbors to support them (especially this sweet family). I am happy to say, it wasn't a fluke, the food is still as delicious and Wendy (our server from our last visit) even remembered our names as she welcomed us back. That alone makes me want to continue coming back. After devouring a specialty appetizer and several (yes several!!) street tacos, with a large Michelada beverage, Wendy brought her sister Liz over and introduce us. We spoke about their wonderful homemade food, hot sauces, saw their hall venue in the back of the restaurant and heard their plans to revamp the restaurant. But in order to do this, they need more customers from the neighborhood to visit than just the soldiers from Camp Pendleton that come and go. So here's a special treat, from now until the end of March (2020) If you go to La Hacienda and order an entrée and give them the secret word "DESSERT" you'll get a special dessert on the house! And tell them Nancy & Debbie sent you! Sisters, Wendy and Liz, will give their very best food and service and will make it right if it isn't. I hope you will go and try this restaurant and give them the boost they need.

My daughter ordered food through Grubhub...never been so disappointed and even angered by a restaurant. We didn't know whether to laugh or cry when we opened the styrofoam containers....the $20 entrees of carne asada were minuscule. The beans and rice were about 2 tablespoons each and bland and the carne asada had only a few strands of onion and tasted like beef jerky, only without flavor...way over cooked and tasted like it was prepared two days ago. What a RIP-OFF!!! They included a few cold, stale tortillas and just one tiny container of guacamole (only one tablespoon) and 3 tiny containers of flavorless salsa. Between 2 orders of $20/plate carne asada (beef jerky). This establishment is a bad joke and I'm writing this review because I felt compelled to warn my fellow citizens (potential victims), to STAY AWAY from this restaurant that has NO BUSINESS being in business! YOU'RE WELCOME. Addendum: NO STARS.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Oceanside! Tacos are amazing. Happy hour is great!! The salsa is spicy and fresh and the guacamole is to die for. This needs be in your rotation of restaurants. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to special requests. The restaurant has a space for dancing as well as outdoor dining.

We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at La Hacienda. It was a great event!! The food was great. The service was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We are really glad we were able to have this dinner at La Hacienda.

We started ordering food from here during Covid for delivery. Little did we know it was around the corner from our place, so we went in recently for dinner. They had live music and a very warm and welcoming staff. The food is very good and very authentic Mexican. We especially love that they have several vegan and vegetarian options. Again, the wait staff was so kind and the food is great. We will be back!
