"An expansion of the space of this Winter Park stalwart in 2020 resulted in the expansion of many waistlines soon after. The primary culprit? Tacos of course. More than 15 meat varieties are offered in its double-wrapped corn tortillas, including cecina (salted beef) and suadero (brisket). Quesabirria comes with a trio of fried tacos and consomme for just $8.99. Don’t pass on sampling one of the six different aguas frescas offered." - Faiyaz Kara

We have been coming here for over 12 years. The food has always been well made and very authentic. This is the go to place for a really good Mexican meal. They are the standard when it comes to Mexican restaurant in Winter Park. There are other competitors, but locals know La Hacienda is the best Mexican restaurant.

Google
I was out and about running errands and got really hungry for some tacos. I picked up three Al pastor tacos, ceviche, chips and salsa and a side of guacamole. It was awesome!!! Super fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s also very nice inside. Check it out!

Google
Best Mexican restaurant in Central Florida! I have never had a bad meal here. Also, the live music is awesome!

Greg Brown

Google
Authentic Mexican food. Service was great, food was delicious and atmosphere was very comfortable.

Mark Severson

Google
Very good food. The service seemed to be a little slow but it may have just been that we had so many people in our party. So take my service rating with a grain of salt. The atmosphere is great, the portions should be enough to fill most people up without issue and pricing is reasonable as well. I've been here a few times already and I can say that I'll definitely be going back again. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
This was a last minute where to eat decision and what a good one it was. La Hacienda was bright and inviting. as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by the friendly hostess and Mexican music. We were seated right away and the usual chips and salsa were delivered. We ordered a side of Guacomole, a Modelo and a Margarita while we looked over the menu. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The Margarita was perfect because they actually used fresh llime juice and not sour mix. We decided on the Quesabirria with chicken and Chile Relleno de Queso which were both excellent. Our food came out very quickly and when I asked for hot sauce, she brought me some of the homemade hot sauce which was really spicy and really good. They even gave me some to take home. Everyone working there seemed really happy and were very helpful. When there was an empty plate it was picked up right away. We drove past 4 or 5 other Mexican restaurants to go to La Hacienda and we will do it again.

Yelp
It had been a while since I stopped by and it sure is way different. It has been remodeled and expanded, which it looks better and there is plenty of seating. I decided to stay, since I was craving Mexican and the food was good. I ordered the pollo a la plancha and it came with rice and beans. I would had liked the chicken to be cooked a bit longer, but it was okay. The chips and salsa were good and fresh. As for the service, it is really lacking. The hostess did not acknowledge me coming in, as she was more interested in her conversation with another hostess. I got seated but my server took a bit to come by and he was attentive. I noticed that most of the servers gathered around the hostess stand to have conversations and that makes the dining experience uncomfortable for the people dining behind that section.

Yelp
Excellent place for a happy hour drink or dinner! Originally planned to just have chips, queso, and a margarita but ended up having dinner. Danny, the bartender, was excellent with his knowledge and recommendations of tequilas. Also, his service was impeccable. He recommended to try the cactus tacos and he was right! I was blown away by it. I also had the chopped beef tacos and they were just as good. The venue itself is quite perfect for a date night or a friendly dinner gathering. I will definitely be going back again as the birria looked fantastic.

Toni D.

Yelp
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Orlando. I started coming here when they had a small restaurant in the grocery store next door. It's authentic Mexican food, with a full service bar. If you're looking for good Birria they have that too and it's $12.99 for three tacos.

Jon W.

Yelp
This local gem is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a vibrant, modern restaurant and friendly staff who are ready to seat you. I almost never wait more than 5 mins for a table either! The food is also always amazing and it comes with free unlimited chips and salsa to top things off--all for great prices too. If you're near Winter Park, looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, you cannot beat La Hacienda!!

Kaitlin G.

Yelp
I came here with 2 friends on a Thursday and were able to be seated immediately. I tried their pineapple aqua Fresca (I think that's what I was called) which was delicious, and I've heard their margs are delicious. I couldn't make up my mind between the torta cubano (my fav hangover cure) or the quesabirria so I got both figuring I'd have lunch for the next day. Both were really delicious. Their chips and salsa were also tasty. I'd for sure come back here! The decor is great and it has a nice size dining room, along with easy parking.

George R.

Yelp
Leslie serving top quality and great service. Will recommend, all employees good reception and friendly.

Surina L.

Yelp
Solid mexican. Beans are good, Queso fresco, aguacate ripe. The taco plate has the carrots with radish and limes and salsas and chips. Solid showing. I'll give this 4 out of 5.

Gabe M.

Yelp
I've lived in the area for over a decade and just finally made it here after the pandemic. We'd been going to another nearby Mexican restaurant, but this place elevates everything and has much more to offer! We've been about 6 or 7 times now and each time I've enjoyed something different--whether it's a classic staple or something I've never had before, like the Birria tacos. Their horchata is addicting. PRO TIP: Get a kid size horchata to go because you'll be too full. The normal to-go size is too much for one person. If you've not been here before, you will enjoy the food, service, live mariachi band, full bar, and truly reasonable prices. Two people can eat here for under $30, but obviously you can splurge. Lastly, I'll just say that I've never seen as many Mexican and Latino families in one place, whether it's celebrating birthdays or getting together after a long day, and as a Latino myself...this place is fantastic. Go check it out and their grocery store next door. They have tons of international foods.

Mai T.

Yelp
I think I found my favorite place for Birria tacos and it's just down the street from where I work. Last week I went there 2x for a late lunch. First time I ordered a to-go order and the second time I had time to dine-in. Service was quick and easy which I live, especially when I am on a time constraint. Best of all the food was DELICIOUS.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday at La Hacienda last Thursday with a group of eight people, and while the experience had its ups and downs, it was a decent night. La Hacienda's ambiance wasn't exactly cozy but the colorful lights and antique pieces gave it a distinctive character. The service was a bit hit or miss. Our server could have been more attentive. I felt like they didn't check in with us as often. They still managed to serve a group of eight fairly well. I got the Parillada Hacienda Mix Meats (2 person option) and shared it among 3 people. The portions were great and the meats were good along with the sides-refried beans, lettuce, guac, and rice. The beef and chicken can be too salty for some people. I have also previously tried the chimichanga with comes with the same sides as the Parillada. So far the chimichanga has been my fave dish. La Hacienda also offers free tortilla chips with salsa. However, the real winner here is the quest. If you're a fan of cheese, their quest is a must try!

Jenna P.

Yelp
We sat at the bar because the restaurant was packed!!! good sign :) bartender was great super funny. We ordered the enchiladas verde and tacos with birria meat. Everything was actually authentic which is a serious win for me. I despise fake mexican food. 10/10 will most definitely be back. sauces are made in house beware the spiciest one will actually leave a lingering burn.. but tasty

Candice M.

Yelp
Finally a place that serves Birria the right way! So so good. The caldo be pollo was delicious and basically a cauldron of soup bigger than my head. 2 for 1 margs during happy hour were strong and tasty. Will definitely be back.

Brittany K.

Yelp
Wow-talk about food that really hits the spot! I came in with friends after bowling down the road and had to study the menu for several minutes to make a decision. Everything sounded good so that was a challenge! Our table started w some guac and a pitcher of sangria. The price for pitchers is unbeatable at $22. We got four generous glasses out of each pitcher and annihilated the chip basket while throwing back those tasty drinks. I landed on a wet burrito w camaron. A generous portion and packed with flavor! I wish I hadn't been so full because I would have loved to try some dessert, but definitely on my next visit.

Mike N.

Yelp
Fantastic Spot! My wife and I live nearby and popped in to try this spot out with low expectations. We were amazed at the quality of the food and the great customer service! Highly recommend trying it out.

North S.

Yelp
I have pro and cons with this place. The food tasted ok. Nothing jumped out in flavor. The fajitas are huge but I didn't order it. The only reason this place got a one star was because of Jose the waiter. By far the worst person ever. The bartender was amazing and she made really great drinks. They have nice happy hour and specials.

Cati J.

Yelp
Now THAT is what authentic Mexican food is supposed to taste like! This place was amazing. The food felt homemade and all the ingredients were fresh and properly prepped. The menu has so many options to choose from and all of them are good! Another thing I loved were the juices. They have fresh juice made in-house! They have SO MANY FLAVORS! If you go you have to get a juice. Now there are two reasons why I'm not giving it the full 5 starts. Even though the actual meals were good, the chips brought at the beginning were stale. And the ladies restroom was flooded with toilet water. I can't fully enjoy my meal thinking about the dirty toilet water I just stepped on in the restroom. Another cool thing is that it was a market attached to the restaurant. After your meal you can walk around and check out som traditional Mexican foods/ snacks.

Patricia R.

Yelp
Went with my best friend on a quiet Saturday afternoon after doing some shopping around. She suggested here since a lady had mentioned how great the food was, specifically their tamales. The chips and salsa that was brought out was tasty and got the hunger going. I started off with a frozen mango margarita which came in a huge glass. This one drink lasted me the entire meal and was pretty good. It was not overly liquored up which hopefully means my stomach won't hate me. For my meal I ordered the wet carnitas burrito with the tomato sauce instead of the green tomatillo one. What a tasty sauce. The well sized burrito had well seasoned meat inside with some rice and beans. On the side was a small salad with a small portion of guacamole. Ate about 7/8 of the burrito before calling it a day. Great service and nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. Will definitely return.

Jahdai T.

Yelp
Great food! Great customer service. We always had someone check on us. Made sure we had everything we needed. We went during a slow time of the day on a Monday. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The aguas frescas were sooo good! We got pineapple and mango. They have several flavors I would love to try. Perfectly sweet and very refreshing. One thing I realize is that I need to go back to try their drinks.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic and heartwarming! Will definitely come again! It's a hole in the wall restaurant but oh so worth it! Free chips and salsa too, so who could go wrong with that?!

Corey G.

Yelp
The most authentic Mexican restaurant around. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. We were entertained by a mariachi band and they accommodated our large group with no problem.

Chris M.

Yelp
Aloma and 436. Very solid Mexican spot, Ive eaten here several times. Big portions of good food - can't go wrong with that! For the bonus the serve horchata that is absurdly good. Great decor, great service, I like this spot quite a bit. 4.25 range. They have a Mexican grocery store attached that has a lot of good stuff as well.

Cristal R.

Yelp
This place is amazing. They recently remodeled and I hadn't even recognized them! I was afraid the change would affect their authenticity, but I was wrong! They offer so many things other restaurants don't normally offer, they have a full bar, lots of options for drinks, BIG MENU!! The food was amazing and I was so astonished at how many options they have to offer! The place was super busy but we still had great service. The prices are great as well, you don't have to sacrifice an arm and leg for a good dinner :) I can't wait to go back to this place soon, I would love to try a margarita they looked amazing.

Ken L.

Yelp
We had not been back to this restaurant since they upgraded from the old small place we once went for lunch. Totally different now and I must say it was a great experience. We got the paridilla (sp?) mixed grill for 2 and they brought us a huge serving of various meats and seafoods. All of the food was cooked perfectly and was some of the best Mexican we have ever had. Cheese dip and salsa were also excellent. Service was great as well. I read a few other reviews before going and was a bit worried but everyone was super nice. Great restaurant we highly reccomend!

John M.

Yelp
Good little Mexican restaurant located next to a latin market. Both the market and this little restaurant are located in a shopping plaza located on Aloma and University. The shopping plaza has definitely seen better days, though it is well maintained, but this particular restaurant is pleasant enough inside. The complimentary chips and salsa were brought to our table moments after we were seated. They were good and I would appreciate them even more when it turns out better server was rather slow in giving our food to us. I do not know if our order was misplaced or somehow fell through the cracks, but it seems that a lot of the people around us we're getting their food far quicker than we were. Our server was also rather inattentive. It was not that she was rude or unfriendly, I just do not think that we were in the forefront of her thoughts. The food was good, perhaps because we were so hungry after waiting such a while, though I will have to say that the food was nothing special. I guess if I found myself in the area that I would try them again.

Marlyn R.

Yelp
Great food and service! Sundays are the best with live mariachi!. We had an amazing time.

adriana g.

Yelp
I would like to come back and try something different

Amanda A.

Yelp
If zero stars or negative stars was an option that is what I would've picked. Do not come here if you have a service animal of any kind!!! Per ADA guidelines and general basic knowledge, service animal registries/IDs are fake and an establishment is not allowed to ask for "ID". There are only two legal questions which an establishment can ask the handler of a service animal: 1. Is this animal trained to perform certain tasks? And 2. Is this a service animal? The hostess was very rude when we calmly explained that for us we just want to pass the word on to them to avoid any big problems that could arise in the future because of this. All we got back was "I am following orders from the owner". They also explicitly told us they moved us to the corner so we were aware from the people. Very disappointed in this establishment and I hope to see some change.

Marcus R.

Yelp
Wow! What a great restaurant. One of my Son's best friends recommended this place and it does not disappoint. Best Mexican restaurant I have ate at in the United States! Live mariachi band too ! Huge selection of margaritas. Very good service, I can't wait to visit this business again.

Chelsea V.

Yelp
This is hands down one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the central Florida area. Their food is fresh and delicious. The service is quick and efficient. We were seated right away with chips and salsa. We had in house entertainment because a live Mariachi band was playing while we were eating. This place had it all. Best queso I've ever had. It's conveniently located next to a market as well!

Walter B.

Yelp
We popped in for lunch one day as we were looking for a quick Mexican meal. La Hacienda is a very nice restaurant inside, it looks like it might have been recently renovated, very clean, and very friendly service. I went with chicken fajitas and while the vegetables were cooked to perfection, the chicken was rather bland. Very little sour cream or guacamole was served with it. It was a decent lunch and if the chicken had more flavor, this would have been a four-star review. The horchata was a bit too sweet for my tastes and tasted more like sweet cream than that rice pudding type of flavor with more cinnamon. It's usually my go-to drink when I see it on the menu and I would not recommend it here. My wife's shrimp tacos were good according to her so overall it was a decent meal.

Roxy A.

Yelp
Pretty good spot, I'd come again! This huge restaurant has great food, relaxed ambiance (clean but not super fancy), and affordable pricing. The menu is large so you can find pretty much anything, even if you are craving seafood or are looking for a vegetarian entree. Everyone gets chips and salsa as an appetizer, which is great. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga which was $10.99 (and additional dollar for it being shrimp). The shrimp was grilled/blackened and had so much flavor on its own. The chimichanga was full of cheese and smothered with a flavorful sauce. It was so good I wasn't able to save any for leftovers. The beans, salad and rice it comes with tasted okay. The day I went they were out of steak, so sadly that takes out a huge chunk of the menu.

Melissa H.

Yelp
I love La Hacienda! I moved to the area less than a year ago and it is my go-to spot for mexican! Great drinks, queso, and service!

Noel G.

Yelp
La Hacienda is no longer a market/little restaurant. They have expanded and opened a brand new side dedicated solely for dining. The decor is very traditional and the chairs and tables made of wood. They are following COVID-19 protocols and the servers use masks. Tables are marked off so there is social distancing and most of if not all patrons have their masks when entering and leaving the establishment. Let's talk about the COMIDA (food) and the BEBIDAS (drinks). Natural beverages are available in traditional Mexican style "aguas frescas". My fav is the hibiscus drink... so red and sweet. They also have passion fruit, rice water (horchata) and others... just ask. The bar is fully stocked with whatever is your poison. My father-in-law loves Long Island Iced Teas and they even offer the BLUE kind... says a lot. Bartender came to our table to see exactly how my father-in-law wanted his drink made. It was STRONG, just how he liked it. Dishes vary Freon traditional tacos, burritos, quesadillas and fajitas... to enchiladas, Mexican sandwiches and flautas. There is a vast seafood selection of plates as well. We are definitely coming back!!!!!!!!

Stewart Y.

Yelp
We have been wanting to try place for a while and finally got the chance today. We were not disappointed. The food was great and the service was exceptional. We'll worth it.

Shawn G.

Yelp
Friday night dinner. Atmosphere is nice. It wasn't busy when we got there at 5:30 but by the time we left around 7, it was packed. Our waitress was nice but spoke little English. My mom didn't want cilantro in her burrito. The burrito was full of cilantro. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said "it's not a lot". That was the only issue we had. The food was tasty. Margaritas was very sugary but I've come to expect that with flavored Margaritas.

Paola H.

Yelp
Service is terrible in the market. Clearly they are not excited about doing their job and the sour look on their face as well as their unbothered responses are an obvious representation. I placed a catering order that I was late to pick up, however it wasn't even prepared. When I showed up not even an acknowledgment or apology that they were more behind than me. A simple apology would have been somewhat satisfying. Instead it was a shrug and a literal "oh well we were busy".

Bengie M.

Yelp
This place is large, there was a small line of people waiting to be seated and every table was taken so no social distancing. Also, the couple entering in ahead of us with their young child were not wearing masks and the hostess, nor anyone else, made any mention of the missing masks. No one resembling management was present on our visit on a Sunday between 1-2 pm. Chips and salsa came out relatively quickly but food service was slow as there were so many tables to be tended to by the waitstaff. There seemed to be plenty of waitstaff and they did a nice job of taking care of the tables but didn't have much time to take care of drink refills or checking in on the table. Food was good, portions were appropriate and prices are very reasonable for all things considered.

Rob H.

Yelp
Went today for the first time after hearing so much about this place. I have family members that absolutely swore by this place. My first impression upon walking in was how open the dining area felt and how it is perfect for large family gatherings. I'm pretty good at gauging how good a Mexican place I going to be by its chips and salsa. The chips here were good and the salsa was great. To drink I ordered the agua fresca de tamarindo, my son got lemon, and my girlfriend got the mango. I honestly did not pay too much attention to the menu because my mind was set on getting tacos. I got four; asada, chicharron, cuerito, y carnitas. First of all; they're a dollar something each, so you can't go wrong anyway. Second; if a Mexican place can get tacos right then you can pretty much trust everything else is good. My girlfriend got the steak hacienda, which looked really good and was plenty of food. My son got the torta de asada, which also looked really good. For dessert my son got the flan (also good) and we shared and order of churros. They were very good also, but I could've used a bit more caramel on ours. Bottom line is... you can't go wrong with this place.

Luis M.

Yelp
Talk about the worst service I have had in this area! Jose you are a horrible server! Charged for 16 tacos when I ordered 11, charged me for 2 sodas when I ordered one, then sit there are argue with me that after two sodas I get charged double. After looking at the menu, is not listed, and his response is well I though it was on there. Real professional dude! Then when everyone's drinks in the area are empty and your sitting at the bar stuffing your face talking to your boyfriend is real professional. And our freckling son choked on a piece of paper in his food!

Ivonne N.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant 12/26 during lunch. It was recommended by my friends. Let me start with customer service was a 1/5. The servers weren't friendly and looked annoyed when we asked questions. The servers didn't come to check and see if the food was ok or if we needed to get the check. The food was ok. The meat in the tacos were good ( asada, Al pastor, carnitas and birria). The meat wasn't greasy. The tortillas were thicker and spongy. I like thinner and corn made tortillas. I had the carne asada "wet burrito ". It had queso and salsa verde over it. It was ok but I've had better at Agave Azul. We ordered the happy hour margarita and we were very disappointed. It taste like they pour mix and a bit of tequila. Their chips and salsa were ok. Overall a 2/5 and won't be coming back. I'd rather drive to the whole in the wall - Tienda Jalisco in Goldenrod for authentic Mexican food and Agave Azul WP for their burrito and margaritas.

Julio H.

Yelp
For the market: A friend of mine had mentioned this place a few times, so I was really curious about it. Even if I have driven by it countless times, I have never ever been remotely interested in walking in. But I guess I had to. This is a pretty big supermarket, and they cater to several nationalities. For example, the cheese section has cheeses from Nicaragua, Honduras, Colombia, Mexico, etc. The same with the dried beans, the soft drinks, and a lot of other products in the freezer section and throughout the store. I even saw Peruvian panettone, which is my favorite, but I am a bit biased. However, the plus for me is: the herbal and spice sections, way more than any shop I have been to, the paletas and ice cream, the baked goods and this applies to the breads and the desserts on separate displays. It is totally worth the trip. Unfortunately the produce section is very small, but they have the necessary items to cook a regular meal. Finally, one of the things that I got excited about was to find huitlacoche (corn smut), a mushroom typical of Mexico. Also worth noting: huge candy and sweets area. This is a really cool place. And, before I go, they have more than just tacos next door.

Mikr S.

Yelp
Amazing as always. Love the burritos. The chips and salsa are so good. Go here all the time. Food never disappoints me. Love the grocery store next store.

Millie S.

Yelp
The taco price here is a steal! Variety of protein to choose from to have on your taco. They are a la cart so you mix and match. The tacos only come with the protein you choose and topped with cilantro and onion. I highly recommend ordering a side of beans, rice and guacamole to either add on to your taco or eat it on the side. I like a ton of toppings which is why I did that. I really appreciate that there was two or three tortillas for each taco because if it was only one then the taco would fall apart.

Monica S.

Yelp
Found this place from Tictock of all places!! Yelped it too and read the reviews!!! We went around 530 pm which is a little early for us so we took advantage of happy hour!! Margarita was really good and pretty substantial. Chips and salsa was fresh and tasty! Our server whose English wasn't the best was a gem!!! ( What else would you expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant) Anna, the owner came and spoke to us and was quite hospitable!! We ordered chimichanga, tacos and sample platter!!! It was all very good!! Prices are great, too. Addded bonus is the really cool Mexican food market RIGHT THERE!!! Came home with fresh made tortillas and cojita cheese!!! We'll be back!!!

Johnny N.

Yelp
Tacos were delicious and moist! AL pastor, carnitas, and Asada were bangers! A definitely at try when you head into the Orlando location. Atmosphere is 5/5

Victor R.

Yelp
Wow!!! I been going to the Mexican meat market adjacent to this restaurant (it used to be in the same place, they just expanded and made it nicer) and never was curious about eating in the restaurant. Let tell you that it exceeded my expectations with the flavor of the food and price. The tacos were very good (Carnitas, Tongue and Pork skins were my favorite) decent size for the price. The Mojarra frita(fried porgie) was to die for. Only 13.99 and it was an explosion of flavor. The meat platter had beef rib, pork chop, fish, chicken, chorizo and carne asada with rice and beans for only 14.99 seriously can't beat that. The reason for my 4 stars it was because the chips they compliment you were stale and hard. Other than that everything was great. From M-Thursday they have 2x1 Margaritas from 2-7 in which they are very good. The hospitality from the waitress very good and attentive. The family and I will be returning soon.

Doug K.

Yelp
Solid food. Fast service. I would come here again. Weak salsa with the chips as why I only gave it three stars.

Justin N.

Yelp
Lackluster flavor of the carnes asada tacos and the margarita tasted like they just poured it out of a mix into a glass. The server was not friendly at all and we had to ask for refills on water for my wife and I, as well as for our son's lemonade. We had heard great things about La Hacienda, but this place misses the mark. We won't be back.

Leo L.

Yelp
Great food, also really friendly staff, constantly checking up and asking if we need anything to make our experience better.
