La Hidalguense

The best tacos I’ve had in the Portland area, the Al pastor hits. My partner is obsessed with the veggie burrito. The presentation of food is always really nice too. Highly recommend! I don’t eat in the area, probably best as a grab and go.

The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to make another trip to this restaurant again. I've had plenty of street tacos in my life but for some reason this place was a step above. The meat was juicy and plentiful on each taco and although I only ate four I left feeling more than satisfied. The atmosphere was friendly my server was friendly and both added to the experience. First time here of hopefully many to come.

Those are some real good pastor tacos. Both salsa options are solid, as are the tortas. Great flavors!

This place has the best pastor tacos I have ever had, I have yet to find somewhere that can even come close in comparison. Love this place it’s definitely my go to spot!

Huge burrito, meat was seasoned right. Came out mad quick and the quality didn’t lack.

If you want some good flautas or rolled tacos this is the best place to go they were so delicious. They are handled and cooked to order not pre prepared. I come from Salem just to get them and I will be back to get more, ❤️❤️🌮🌯Mmmm

Just a straight up no frills tasty $9.50 burrito. I got al pastor and what I loved was the pork was juicy and in larger pieces, which is a little different than a lot of taco trucks do it. Service was great too. I waited just a little longer than expected for my order (nothing out of the ordinary for Portland), so they gave me a free bottled coke. That's people who know great service. I'll be back when I need another burrito fix.

Love this place. We stop by at least once a week. They have excellent food from quesadillas, and tamales, to chicken flautas and sopes, and that is just to name a few. Great food and a good price. Plus they are right next to Andys Inn and Foster gardens, so you have a trio of food, drinks, and either pool or shuffleboard. A good time just waiting for you.

Love this place! Great Carne Asada Tacos, great french fries, tasty chicken flautas, and the elote was the bomb! Quick and friendly. You have to drink quick if you want to sneak into the bar next door for a drink after you order...

This place was amazing!! Very great service. I haven't had Al Pastor that I've loved this much since moving from LA to Oregon. Highly recommend!

We had the carnitas tacos here. The meat was really juicy. They were good. We plan to go back and try some of the other items. It's easy to find parking here and the owner is super friendly.

Amazing tacos!! So happy to have come across this truck. I got the beef tongue and al pastor tacos with a side of esquite. Delicious. There is parking that's on the lot next to the bar there.

La Hidalguense is legit--these tacos hit as hard as the ones I had in Mexico. The quality is always on point, and the tacos taste the same every time I order. I'm never disappointed. The chorizo and al pastor tacos are my favorites, and they're always spot on. If you're craving some seriously good tacos, definitely check this place out.

I go to this stand very often and order Elote and the vegetarian burrito and tacos always super delicious fresh ingredients and tasteful!! Super nice staff and quick service!

Got the al pastor burrito and it was delicious! They had very kind service and I would not hesitate to go again!

Coworkers were raving about this place. Came to check it out. Had the carnitas burrito. Apart from it having some gristle, it was good for the price. They are located behind a building. I hear their tacos are better so I'll probably get that next time. The burrito was good but not a fan of lettuce being in it.

I order and an asada burrito and asada tacos, it very was mid also the tacos aren't the best but nice size portions on everything overall.

A treasure -- so good!! Horchata was fantastic, large portions, great tacos, sweet people. 11/10

I love this place, I've tried many of the menu items and all have been delicous. The food is very fresh and good quality. It has become my favorite place to satisfy any Mexican food craving!

Literal hidden gem behind Foster Gardens. Family owned Mexican food cart. Burritos are huge, expertly wrapped, delicious and only $9. I've tried almost all their tacos as well and they are all great. The elote is also a must. My wife and I live right down the street and this has become a weekly staple for us. I really cannot recommend it enough. Always had great and speedy customer service whether I call in an order or just show up unannounced. Really nice people who are great at what they do!

Fantastic and authentic taco truck hidden behind Foster Garden. Everything I have had from here has been outstanding!

Had a delicious shrimp burrito. Lots of shrimp in there! Opted for hot over mild and it delivered. Red and green salsas were greta compliments. And, everyone was super friendly!

Delicious food! You can call ahead or the prep is very quick if you show up and wait. When we would walk here in the summer we'd usually end up eating in a park on the way home, or, to be honest, sitting on the curb to inhale our delicious tacos. The shrimp burrito and tamales are also very tasty.

Tucked away between two neighborhood dive bars on SE 79th and Foster. This is a really good family run Mexican Food truck. Simple menu with really good street tacos and big cheap burritos. I have been a fan of their food for about a year now. My go to is the daily Taco special for $6, you get 3 small street tacos and rice and beans. The family is super friendly and hope the stay in the hood for a long time.
