15 Warming Dishes For Big Coat Season - London - The Infatuation

"When it gets to thermals-under-pyjamas levels of cold, the hearty birria ramen from Birria Taco in Kensal Rise, is the answer. The tacos from the Mexican spot are excellent, but the rich broth, soft ramen noodles, and tender, stringy, slow-cooked beef and lamb birria is the kind of wholesome dish that will warm you from the inside out. It’s also notorious for leaving its mark on whatever you’re wearing, so we’d recommend making a makeshift bib before getting started." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

La Hormiga is our go-to local spot for amazing birria—always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The tortillas taste homemade, and the consomé is rich and comforting. If you visit, you must try the machete at least once—it’s huge, packed with fillings, and absolutely delicious. Great portions, great service, great value.

Always amazing food with a fresh salad/condiment bar I personally go here for the machete’s, they are filled with meat and cheese just look for yourself!! Definitely swing by and grab one ASAP. Just fyi I’ve been coming here since they were parked in the middle of this complex and now they have their own brick and mortar location. It’s located directly next to Peoria in the left hand corner of the shopping complex.

My boyfriend have been chasing the quesabirria dragon all over Aurora, only to be disappointed again and again. On a whim the other night we found La Hormiga and our search is over! The birria is PHENOMENAL! Our first night we shared a 20" quesabirria machete for only $17.99 and it was everything we wanted; cheesy, juicy, salty, tender meat, just amazing 🤌 *chefs kiss* Went back again last night and got 2 orders of quesabirria tacos and.... well. Still absolutely insanely delicious, but if $17.99 gets you a 20" monster, how does $13.99 get you only 3 rather small tacos? Weird math. So learn from our mistake, just get the quesabirria machete! The aguasfrescas are so delicious too, the horchata is RICH, thick and creamy and the Tamarindo has chunks of fresh tamarind pods. $5.99 gets you a gigantic cup and is totally worth it! Te amo La Hormiga! 🩷🐜

This is the place! Amazing Food! Awesome Service! Love the atmosphere! Don’t let the tiny curb appeal and strip mall location fool you…if you want amazing Mexican food, ESPECIALLY BIRRIA TACOS(20” LONG!!!) this is your spot! They also have a full salsa/condiment bar to dress your plate! We will definitely return every time when in Denver!!!

I live down the road and have come here about 5 times for tacos. I’ve dined in a few times and done to-go a couple times. I like to also have a few radishes, extra cucumber, extra spicy salsa, and a grilled jalapeño when I get tacos. It’s kind of a list but I don’t take much and I eat everything. I don’t waste food. Dining in, it’s no problem. But every time I try to get that stuff from the salad bar when I get take out, the girl at the front comes and tells me “it’s all in the bag” when it’s literally not…… I asked if the radishes are in there she says “yes it’s all in the bag” with attitude and continues to shoo me away like I’m a homeless person stealing food or something??? She’s been so rude after that. I’m from south Texas and have worked in restaurants for over 17 years and I treat people with respect. Especially with all the “political” (human rights really) bs going on. No reason for her attitude. I’m just trying to enjoy the food I paid for and I do tip her. No more if she’s gonna be like that. Tips are earned. Docked a star from atmosphere because of her, and the music is insanely loud to the point of hurting my ears sometimes. Like louder than in the club I lowkey wanna know what speaker they’re using 😂

Very good food, service was great. It’s hard to find good tacos in the area and we were recommended to come here. It did not disappoint at all. Their pickled onion with habanero is amazing.

Best Tacos I have had in Colorado, been here for 5+ years and always looking for a great taco spot. Queso barría and the asada were top tier. The toppings station was clean and full of fresh herbs and pickled veg. Salsa was top tier too. The horchata and agua de jamaica were the best I’ve had, not too much ice and not too sweet. The service was phenomenal too. A sweet lady behind the counter. Cannot recommend this place enough!
