La Huchette

During this business trip in Geneva, we were introduced to a French restaurant by a local. The restaurant looked very retro, and the food was pretty good. The red wine was not astringent or sour, but the French bread was a bit hard and hard to chew. The steak Wellington was very special. Unfortunately, the beef was too raw and not grilled long enough, but I still ended it. After the meal, we ordered puff pastry fillings with lots of flavor and a different style.

We’re so lucky to have La Huchette in the neighborhood. The weekly lunch selection is always a highlight - consistently creative, delicious, and made with the best ingredients. Tatiana, Valentin and team run such a thoughtful and welcoming place. It’s a spot that reflects care and intention in everything they do.

Fantastic cozy restaurant in the heart of Carouge! Went there for a date with my husband, we sat by the fire and had out meal grilled right in front of us. We learnt that they only use local ingredients and aside from the 850g Côte de bœuf we took 2 starters that were simply divine. The desert was on point as well.

I am really disappointed. My chicken and all on plate had no taste:( chicken was not cooked enough, red inside 🫣 my friends enjoyed beef that’s why give 2 stars.

The ribs were the standout dish. The terrine de Cochon was the best starter for me! The steak was done very well in the chimney. Lastly the service was top notch!

The new owners are a breath of life to the restaurant! Trendy, cozy and elegant. I enjoyed a delicious steak that was grilled right in front of me in the stone chimney, and a homemade Paris-Brest for dessert. The service was excellent, and the value was spot on.

This was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. A great little find in the Carouge neighborhood of Geneva. October brings out the "hunt menu" which was heavy on Red Deer, Rae Deer, rabbit, and pheasant. Many dinner items are cooked in the open chimney fire, which reminded me of how steaks are cooked in Argentina. An impressive wine selection, with the majority of the wines being either French or Swiss. We were a group of six and the service was wonderful. We shared a bit of everything. Several colleagues ordered the fillet de perch and it was so well presented and flavored. I ordered the Red Deer fillets, cooked on the open chimney fire. It came with root vegetables and a salad. It was an absolute incredible flavor and presentation. One of our party ordered the rabbit stew and that, too was incredibly done. Oh and the homemade shoe-string french fries that accompanied the filet de perch was truly a work of art--they arrived in these wonderful, small, silver cups. La Huchette will not disappoint you and will be in your top ten restaurants--that is a fact and you'll have to try it to believe it. Make a reservation. We arrived when it opened at 7PM for our reservation and by 8PM the place was packed. I will definitely return when I'm back in Geneva.
