"Settle in to Saint-Roch at Korrigane The Saint-Roch neighborhood, a 15-minute walk from Vieux-Québec (Old Québec), is a popular place to hang out, thanks in part to this microbrewery and bistro. All the beers are handmade in old-fashioned styles. Try the Malgven, a toasty amber ale. 300 Rue Dorchester, Québec City, (418) 614-0932. This appeared in the January/February 2013 issue."

I love visiting breweries when I travel, and La Korrigane in Québec City was a fantastic find. Located in the lively Saint-Roch neighborhood, it has a cozy, welcoming vibe. The IPAs were a highlight—deliciously flavorful without being overly strong in alcohol. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the several great veggie options on the menu. Plus, my server was super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re in Québec City, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

The food was fresh, very nicely prepared, and most enjoyable. This is not 'bar food.' The service was delivered with a smile, excellent conversation, and very friendly language/translation assistance. The beers are excellent -- if you like dark beer, go for the Imperial Stout. 🍺😊 A thoroughly enjoyable dinner.

My daughter and I went for late night dinner. The beers were very good. We ordered a flight then chose our favorites. The poutine chimi was great. Salad very good. The burger was just ok. We did make reservations and the service was great when we got there. The bartender was covering our table. I think it just got too crazy and crowded and we felt like we had to interrupt him for service. Another waiter asked if we needed anything but never brought the beer so we asked bartender ourselves. (The server may have been new). Then a man who delivered our dinner was very accommodating. We didn't know the kitchen closed at 10pm and wanted to order another dish a bit after 10pm and he was able to make it happen. All in all it was a little frustrating but overall decent food and drink. (No fault.of bartender..I think they just got too busy and not enough servers).

Great place! They have a main room as you enter and another room in the back. We were offered the option of live music or a quieter room in the back. The beer selection is great, a good mix IPAs, stout, ales and ambers. The food was delicious also, we had the fish n chips (substituted the chips for salads), chicken wings and poutine. Everything was delicious! Thanks for the great service and attention which seems to have been forgotten in other establishments! Thank you, thank you thank you 🙏🏻

Great venue for events and friendly staff. I’d stay away from the saumon tartare though… does not taste like salmon or tartare… poutines are below Québec average too unfortunately 😔 The wings are very good, go for that! *food here are on the lighter side when it comes to seasonings, depending on personal preference, can be a strength or weakness.

We came to Quebec City on a last minute whim. Because we brought our toy Maltese, we were concerned about being limited in our dining options. We saw a cute microbrewery on the way in and when we asked our hotel valet if it was any good, he suggested this place, la Korrigane. The front desk was kind enough to call and confirm our dog would be ok. We arrived for lunch a little early and we were a little concerned that no one was there but it turned out that we came in from the rear entrance that opens to their parking lot (duh) but that was where their little outdoor seating was. We went inside and there was a small bar on one side and on the other side, someone attending to a large brewing canister - I guess they really do make beer there! Turns out after you go in, make a turn and go through a small hallway, you enter another bigger area with another bar and more seating. The place is quite a charming neighborhood watering hole. In one corner, they had a pair of sofas instead of tables and chairs. The waiter was super friendly and even gave us a little sample of their beers when we couldn't decide. We ended up getting a flight to sample their offerings and things we probably wouldn't have tried on our own. Oh, and surprisingly, they were cool with our little pup who was being carried in my wife's large tote - I appreciated how common sense they were about this in general in Quebec. Ok, now the food. We got olives for appetizer, poutine (of course), chili, and fish and chips (I know, not French). Everything was very good. If anything, the waiter kind of talked us out of their special poutine for their classic one - it was really well made but we aren't exactly poutine newbies so I feel like I missed out just a bit. The chili came with bread that was crusty on the outside, and slightly toasted but cherry on the inside -perfect for dunking into the chili, which was tasty if not a little standard. Excellent service, good food, reasonably priced, and dog friendly.

Eclectic little place, but fun. Very good beers from their brewery; classy appetizers (think spicy pickled quail eggs); friendly bar staff; live music, even on a weeknight. Good way to dine like a local.
