So glad I decided to stop in here during my trip to Austin! Despite how busy this place was the service was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful and got our drinks to us very fast. The banana cream latte and matcha were both incredible. I’d say the coffee was better because the bitter espresso balanced the sweet banana while the matcha ended up feeling a bit too sweet for my taste. Ended up stopping by a second time because it was so yummy!

I tried La La Land Cafe at SoCo and finally understand the hype. I had the La La Latte Matcha, and it was honestly mind blowing: smooth, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had in Austin. There’s usually a bit of a queue, but it moves steadily and is absolutely worth the wait. The vibe is great, the drinks are consistently well made, and it’s the kind of place you don’t mind waiting for once you know how good it is. Definitely coming back.

La La Land Kind Café in Austin is such a vibe, bright, welcoming, and full of good energy. I had the almond croissant and I swear it might be the best in the world, insanely rich, buttery, and perfectly flaky. I also tried the La La Dream Toast, a matcha, and the La La Dream Café drink, all amazing and super smooth. The Trouble Burrate Toast was fresh and flavorful too, the kind of thing you can tell they actually put thought into. Everything here just feels good, great food, great drinks, and the kind of place that instantly lifts your mood. Austin definitely needed this spot.

I tried the Strawberry Matcha and the Banana Cloud Latte, and both drinks were absolutely fantastic. The Strawberry Matcha was beautifully layered — the subtle earthiness of the matcha paired perfectly with the sweet, fruity strawberry flavor. It’s refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet, making it a great pick-me-up any time of day. The Banana Cloud Latte was a total standout — creamy, smooth, and topped with a delightful “cloud” foam that made it feel like dessert in a cup. The banana flavor was natural and comforting without being overpowering.

This coffee shop is absolutely charming with such a fun and cozy vibe! I originally ordered a hot vanilla latte, but they gave me an iced one instead — and honestly, it was the best happy accident on a warm day. The drink was delicious, and I didn’t mind the mix-up at all. I also loved the cheerful yellow theme and those gorgeous chandeliers — such a lovely touch!

Tried a new coffee shop on S Congress in Austin, LaLa Land Kind Cafe. I ordered an Iced Americano with Banana Cold Foam….wow the touch of banana was refreshing. The Banana Cloud Latte also provides a unique sweet flavor. The vibe is upbeat, relaxed, and uplifting. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated…right down to the water cups. The staff were incredibly friendly. While waiting in line for the ladies’ room, a barista was right there too. I asked her about the different drinks, and she was just as warm and helpful as the cashier who assisted us. Be prepared for a wait depending on the day…this isn’t the place to go if you’re in a hurry. But trust me, the drink is well worth the wait. Cheers! ☕️

Stopped by La La Land and totally loved the atmosphere: bright, cheerful, and full of good energy. We ordered the Lavender Bloom Latte, the Upside Down Latte (half syrup), and The Queen Avocado Toast, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. It’s definitely a busy location, so expect some wait to order and for the food, but the staff are friendly and keep things moving with a smile. I love how unique this cafe feels, even the straws are heart-shaped! They also have adorable merch like tote bags, caps, and magnets that make perfect gifts. Can’t wait to come back for another cozy coffee morning here!

Stopped by this coffee shop after noticing the long line—had to see what the hype was about! I tried their Lala Latte with Matcha and it was delicious. The space has a cute, modern vibe which definitely adds to the appeal. That said, it can get pretty loud, so it’s not the best spot for studying or having a quiet conversation. Great for a quick treat, though!

Came by La la a couple days ago and there was such good vibes! The workers create such a friendly atmosphere, specially Filza!! She's super down to earth and made my experience at La la 10x better than what I anticipated. She gave me a list of her few favorite treats & drinks, and they did not disappoint! I will definitely come back to pay a visit and try a few more drinks/treats!!

Loved my stop at La La Land! Bella was so sweet and patient -- her recs were spot on. She really made the whole experience easy and fun. She recommended the matcha squared and I'll definitely be coming back soon for it!

When something new opens, I'm never the first to line up--actually, I'm not one to line up at all. I value my sanity and time too much. Instead, I wait a few months until the reviews flood in and the hype dies down. I got the Strawberry Cloud Latte-- matcha with strawberries, and it was creamy and earthy tied with the perfect amount of sweetness from the strawberries. I'm a sucker for good branding and La La Land is nothing short of cute merch. When you leave, Chick-fil-A says "My pleasure," but La La Land says "LOVE YOU." A little strange... but kind of sweet.

I have been wanting to try La La Land Kind Cafe on South Congress since they opened several months ago. I came to their grand opening celebration and the line extended down Congress and past the South Congress hotel. I have yet to find a time to visit the business where there is not a long line. This time was no different, but the line was luckily indoors with AC this time around. We probably waited for around 30-40 minutes in line before we were able to place our order at the counter. This gave me time to change my mind on what I wanted to order at least 5 times. I like the mission that is behind the business to provide valuable support and opportunities for fostering youth and individuals in need and the fact that they offer paid internships to help youth transition from foster care to adulthood. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I ended up ordering the Lululemon Chai latte which was golden chai infused with golden saffron and vanilla bean. We then waited another 20 minutes for our drink to be prepared. My drink had a bit of a bite to it so I probably would not order this particular drink again and was a bit disappointed to wait almost an hour and not be satisfied with the flavor of my beverage. I did see many other items on the menu that I would be interested in trying including the signature coolers. I love the ambiance and vibe of the store with the pastel yellow and all the fun messages like "be kind" and "love you so much" on the drinks. Overall a bright, cheery and fun vibe to the store but wish the drink had tasted better. I think it is more about the experience than the food/beverages.

I say this will all the KINDNESS in my heart.. But I don't get the hype . If someone actually received a chai croissant, please let me know. I stood in line for over 30 minutes! I ordered from the fall menu . I ordered the charli cloud latte with matcha and oat milk. I also ordered the chai croissant! When I finally recieved my items , I didn't have much time left on my parking reservation (1 hour total). My first taste of my drink wasn't tasty. The drink didn't get good until I used my straw and even then my mind wasn't blown. The croissant really made me think I'm the one that screwed up. I bit into it and got chocolate. I thought that maybe the croissant I wanted with the icing on top was called something else besides the "chai croissant". Just maybe I ordered the wrong thing and this is the real chai croissant . I reviewed more pictures from Google and realized that I was given the wrong pastry item! It was not good, I had to dig around to find any type of chocolate or anything. I'm convinced people come here because it's "cute". If I have to wait in line that long, I expect everything to be GOOD The employee that took my order was kind. They also have merchandise for sale..

Iced La La Latte ($6.20) + Alternative Milk ($0.85): You can choose between espresso or ceremonial matcha, and we went with matcha using oat milk to make it dairy-free for my husband. I thought it was too sweet, but he loved it. The sweetness overpowered my taste buds, so I couldn't really taste the matcha. Iced Matcha 2 Squared Latte ($6.20) + Alternative Milk ($0.85): This one has double the matcha and is lightly sweetened, which was perfect for my mother-in-law and me.

On a cloudy Saturday afternoon, I went to La La Land with a friend. When we arrived, I was surprised to see a line stretching out the door--the place is clearly extremely popular and highly hyped. There were a lot of Disney products for sale, though I couldn't quite understand the connection between La La Land and Disney. The abundance of hard plastic used for the various fancy designs and products stood out to me, creating a noticeable amount of plastic waste. Some customers received gift bags, possibly as part of a promotion or for ordering a special drink, but overall, it seemed like a lot of unnecessary waste and clutter. We waited about ten minutes before we could order, which wasn't too long, but it felt longer since it was just inconvenient to stand around without proper seating. When we finally got our drinks, we had to sit outside. Even though the sky was overcast, the Texas humidity made it uncomfortable. I wasn't very hungry, so I skipped the food and ordered the strawberry cloud mocha. The drink came with a strawberry foam on top. While the foam was flavorful, the matcha itself was watery and lacked taste, likely diluted by the ice. Mixing the foam and the matcha was necessary to get any flavor, but doing so ruined the aesthetic of the drink. It was disappointing because both components should have had flavor on their own. Overall, the drink was mediocre and not worth waiting in line for. The most memorable moment of the visit was when a guy riding his bike saw the long line and shouted, "It's just coffee!" Everyone seemed to understand that they were waiting mostly because of the hype and the novelty, rather than for anything particularly special. Ultimately, the experience felt more about being able to say you had a drink from La La Land than about the drinks themselves.

It's bright, it's loud, it's touristy I think? I hadn't heard of it before but read about their mission and find the work and passion for community admirable. I don't know what they do in this local community as far as outreach goes because what i read was about their work elsewhere. Cute place to take a picture, but not relaxing if that's what you're looking for.

Came here after a run club celebration and had to see what all the hype was about. Matcha galore. Atmosphere: Light, airy, and unapologetically cheerful. Big windows, clean lines, and those sunny accents that basically tell your brain, "hey, relax. Plenty of spots to camp with a drink if you're meeting a friend or just scrolling. Food & Drink: I went in for the most "instagrammable" choice which I think was the Keith Lee Matcha Latte. Definitely if you have any matcha craving with a side of sweet tooth then you will find the fix here. The Keith Lee drink had that stylish look along with their signature matcha flavoring. Service: I do have to dock one point in saying the employee at the register was a bit stand offish, however everyone else was great. A crazy thing happened during my visit where an emergency area needed to be blocked off by all the other employees were attentive and helpful in trying to direct everyone through the chaos. Also bonus to the greeter employee, she recommended some great choices for first timers. Bright space, upbeat energy, and drinks that hit the spot once you dial sweetness to taste. It's an easy "yes" for a feel-good coffee stop when you want more than the usual chain experience. Tip: Order Online if you want to avoid all the waiting.

New spot that opened in south congress this summer! Came by on a Sunday at 10:30 AM in September. The line was just outside the door around the corner, and we waited about 45 minutes until we got our drinks Staff was friendly and gave my friend a pup cup and bandana for her dog!! Got the Keith Lee Matcha, which had a strawberry and matcha foam. Sweet and refreshing matcha flavor!!! The La La Latte was also sweet! Both with oat milk Plenty of cute seating and natural lighting. I would come back!

New coffee shop on SoCo! Loved the vibe walking in. So bright and yellow, great start to any morning. Was busy but line with fast. I got the banana pudding matcha. It was well made, good flavor, not too sweet. Overall the drink was so smooth! Very enjoyable, but a bit pricey for the size.

Heard about this place and its hype at its other locations, so decided to give it a try. I got there and the line wrapped around the building! I thought, "this is probably really good because of this line." The line was pretty long but I held out hopes anyway. It was busy but cute inside. Went to order and they were friendly and quick. I got the Keith Lee made w soy milk. The drink came out pretty fast and neatly crafted. I was very impressed from the drink. The matcha was high quality grade and the flavor was well balanced. Not too sweet, but flavorful and I didn't do any sweetness adjustments. The foam was a great touch and the strawberry on top was great. Honestly, this was the best matcha I've tried in Austin area period. This lands on my top 3 matcha places I've tried in my life period. Would recommend!

Must visit if you have time! We're from LA and we're so happy they opened one closer to us. Came for the Mickey collab, and lines get nuts if you don't get there early enough but it's worth the wait. Highly recommend the Banana Cloud w/ Chai! The wife loved her Pumpkin drink that was limited time from the fall menu so make sure you ask for specials. Bonus for the munchkin that comes w/ the la la mini meal. Kinda wish they were able to sell the merch that was on display. Not much space for waiting for orders or seating, awesome Disney music and cute decor. Super friendly staff and attentive to each & every order. Will def be back!

I was in Austin by happy accident and just happened to walk past a line in front of La La Land! Wow! First of all, the line moved fairly quickly and the staff was super friendly. The Matcha Cloud Latte? Ceremonial-grade goodness with a nutty twist and just the right sweetness. I got it with whole milk and was very impressed with the taste. The inside has minimalist decor meets sunshine yellow touches = instant mood boost. The spot's totally walkable which is a breezy choice for a caffeine fix!

I was skeptical given that this place had a line out the doors for weeks after opening and it was all over my tiktok with influencers' reviews but I'll tell you I think it's definitely worth it now that the line has died down! I ordered the Keith Lee Latte (Matcha with strawberry) and my friend ordered the Banana Cloud Latte. We both throughly enjoyed them! As people who try matcha all around town, this is definitely going near the top of our list! We came on a week day around lunch time and there some people working from the tables and others just enjoying their coffee and food. There's lots of seating but I can see it getting crowded and people having a hard time finding seating. We waited for a table to clear up (only about 5 min).

I stood in line thinking that this would be a tourist trap as I was in soco to enjoy all things ACL wknd 2 adjacent but I was pleasantly surprised at the coffee based drinks here. It's located in the shopping block where Hopdoddy, Perla's, and Guerro's is. There's even a parking garage out back if you want to drive out here. The line took about 30min but once you are inside it goes pretty fast. There's someone at the door to ensure the flow inside the building and when I was there the door person was friendly and answered all my questions as well as give her recommendations. I came during the touchland pop up so they had special drinks for the pop up but sadly they had ran out of touchland hand sanitizer freebies. Though they did have a display to try them out as well as some special merchandise specifically for the pop up. The interior does give up that mystical la la land vibe. It's clean and bright. Ordering is quick and it didn't take too long to get my cold beverage. I got one of the pumpkin pie cloud latte and it was very good. More of a blonde roast but it pairs well with the pumpkin pie flavor so it was balanced and the cloud foam gave a nice mouth feel to the drink. I have to say o was pretty thirsty so I finished this drink pretty fast but had enough pep to satisfy my caffeine needs for the afternoon just enough that I didn't think I would be up all night having a caffeinated drink so late in the afternoon. Will I stop here again, yes. There are so many different drinks here to try and they also have food options. Though I might come here during less peak hours and days so I can enjoy sitting inside.

I was so excited to see this open up in Austin! I went in on a Friday morning and there was no line which I was very happy about, but it was very busy. I enjoyed the banana cloud latte and got it half sweet. There was ample seating when I arrived, and the vibes were great! Will definitely be back to try new menu items

LOVEEEEE Love lattes, love matcha, and love musicals like La La Land. The interior is so cute and I got their banana cloud latte. I've had lattes before where only the cream is sweet but this drink was perfectly sweet throughout even if you don't mix it. I also got to sample their limited time J.Lo Birthday Cake Latte, which was such a treat! Yum! P.S. I only waited 5 minutes during a weekday morning

I highly enjoy going to La La Land in the morning after a workout to enjoy a coffee. The place is located on the bustling street of SoCo, but what makes it even better is that it is pretty quiet in the early AM and parking is so easy. The place is really pretty inside and the staff move quickly and attentively to take the orders. My go to is the einspanner latte. It is really delicious! Sometimes you do have to wait a little for your order, but it is so worth it. The quality of the materials is very very good. It def crafts the experience! And the straws are heart shaped at the ends. This is one of my fav spots with beautiful view!

I had tried to get in when they did their soft opening and the line was insane. Plus it was raining so I decided to try another day. The name La La Land represents a dream world. A place where you walk in and feel a true sense of joy for life. A place where you are loved for who you are. A place that brings together all human beings. A place where kindness is priority. The minute you walk in you are greeted almost immediately and by not one but several staff members. That was a huge plus for me. I ordered the Upside Down Iced Latte with Espresso vs Matcha and it was sooooo delicious. It wasn't until i was about half way through my Latte when the sweet side of my concoction hit me. Usually it's always been the other way around for me. Definitely a hit for me. The layout has a modern vibe to it with a bright color scheme to it. (See the photo and video.). A happy place. What really caught my attention other than the service and beverage, was reading on their website how they hire Foster Youth to work their cafes. What a great way to give back to your community by offering the youth gainful employment as well as a sense of purpose. You could see it on their faces how happy they were. Warmed my heart I highly recommend La La Land Kind Cafe. You won't be disappointed

My brother, an LA native, raved about this spot, so I was excited to see it open in Austin--especially knowing it supports youth aging out of foster care, a cause close to my family's heart. I tried the banana foam latte and La La Dream toast and both were delicious! The banana was subtle, not overpowering, and even the matcha (which I usually avoid) was surprisingly good. Staff were super kind despite the long lines. There's still some seating inside, but expect a 15-30 minute wait since it's new and in a busy area. I don't usually trek to South Austin, but I'd absolutely come back for another round!

You will probably have to wait a while to get your drink, but that makes sense considering how busy they are. The move might be to order ahead. La La Land is super popular all over Texas for a reason, and I'm so glad they finally opened their first location in Austin! Not only are their pastries phenomenal they also have some of the best coffee and lattes in the city. I've had their La La latte and more recently, I tried their pumpkin spice latte with matcha! I've also heard really good things about their (now permanent) Keith Lee latte. Branding is so cute and aesthetic. I just wish this location was up north because I would truly go all the time.

SO STOKED Austin finally got a La La Land Cafe!!! I've been to these in Houston and Dallas and always wondered when it would be Austin's turn. The vibe and brand of this cafe is the best - their purpose of hiring foster youth and normalizing kindness is incredible. All of the staff say "love you!" in the same way Chick-Fil-A employees say "my pleasure!" The drinks and food are pretty tasty. The matcha is great, and the menu has nice variety. They often do seasonal or special drinks as well! Most things can be hot or iced. I love everything I've tried here and will be visiting often! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Located on SoCo so back-in street parking or street parking throughout the neighborhood (free before 8am). - Indoor seating? Yes, a community table and some smaller tables available.

This is a very busy and upbeat coffeehouse located on Congress. You want to get here early because the place fills up very quickly. Today ends a month of their sponsorship at Disney related gear and decorations. It has a numerous number of tables that you can sit at, and the glass windows all around, make it very light and chill - but, if you're looking for a place to work, this might not work out for you because it's quite loud inside, but if you have noise canceling headphones, it might work. They have all kinds of various coffee drinks and pastries to choose from. So if you're downtown, give this place a try.

Be prepared to wait in a long line but it'll be worth it! I enjoyed the clean and chic aesthetic inside. They have some cute merchandise as well. I ordered a banana matcha latte and it was great. They use top grade matcha! The more you drink you'll start getting to the banana cream flavor which is perfectly sweet and creamy. I also got an almond croissant and it was absolutely delicious! It had an almond filling inside. They even warmed it up for me. :)

I am visiting from NYC and have been seeing la la land all over TikTok so I was super excited to try! It was $10 for probably smallest matcha latte I have ever gotten, but I'll let that go since a portion goes to charity. Pretty yummy treat but I would say I definitely like my matcha stronger. Staff is super nice and the store is so cute!

Stopped here around 2pm on a holiday weekend and it was about a 45 min wait, mostly outside. Fortunately the line was shaded as it was very hot. Once you order it's only about a 5 min wait. The interior has a fair amount of seating, and some was available even with the super long wait I got the matcha squared latte which was perfect and super matcha-y. Not sure if they can reduce the sweetness but I'd probably ask for half sweet next time. Also got a Himalayan tea with agave syrup and thought it was super refreshing! If you like matcha drinks and can put up with a line, definitely worth trying out! Or maybe just try another day of the week or time of day...

Listen, I did not want to give this place 5 stars. It just seemed too viral to be true. It's delicious. Almond croissant was fire, honey oat milk latte was one of the best I've ever had. I hate myself for loving you! plus they gave my girls free stickers and bags. They were very nice and a clean simple vibe.

Truly delicious matcha, some of the best I've had in the city! The employees are also so friendly, living up to the "kind" in the name. However, I worry about the cleanliness of the cafe. I was there early morning and the ground was absolutely covered in hair, probably a mix of human and dog. I know they're getting a lot of foot traffic, but it was really gross to see.

This coffee shop is truly worth all the hype! Would I wait 4 hours in line? Probably not! But will I order on the app for speedy pick up? Absolutely! I've been back 3 times already since it opened. All the coffee drinks I've tried have been delicious! The staff is super friendly & helpful. And the shop is located in a great neighborhood in Austin. What better way to start your day!

new austin location!! the hype is still going so it's about an hour wait for the line outside, inside and to get drinks made. the servers do a good job of line control. i tried the keith lee matcha drink. it's on the sweeter side but i really enjoyed it. i hope they permanently keep this drink on the menu. the interior is really pretty giving it an upscale and put together atmosphere. there is plenty of seating. service is very friendly. the drink packaging is easily to go, making it a nice spot to grab a drink and shop the rest of soco. p.s. if you get the mobile app they have a 50% off drink on the app, but make sure to order through the app. they were also handing out cute bags if you just asked!

Service was great! Didn't wait long. Very cute in there. We went on opening weekend on Saturday and unfortunately did not get to try the coffee because their espresso machine was down so I got a matcha. The matcha was really good but would have liked to try a coffee. Maybe next time.

I went during their soft opening and waited in line a while but once I ordered the food and drinks came out fast. I ordered the avocado toast with the burrata and chili oil and it was delicious. The strawberry and honey toast was okay, a little bland for my taste. The strawberry cloud matcha was too subtle for me with the strawberry but the banana cloud was my favorite. I am not even a big banana person and I would get that one again. The space is sleek and clean, cute giveaways and staff is nice. Will be coming back!

We ordered ahead online, definitely recommend doing that! They were hosting a pop up event for Touchland so the line was a bit longer than expected. This location is very welcoming, modern, and picture perfect. We got the Strawberry Cloud Matcha, Banana Cloud Matcha, and Salted Caramel Cloud Latte! All were very delicious.

I wanted to like this place so much, but I will not be going back or suggesting this establishment to anyone. First my order was wrong, which is fine but once I went back to get my order corrected I waited 10 minutes for my correct drink, just to have my order made and left on the counter the staff never called out my name. By the time I finally got my order, my drink was lukewarm and the flavor was horrible. I'm very disappointed with this experience.

I went here yesterday and a customer had her dog with her. The dog had his head on the counter sniffing people's orders. No one addressed thedog or owner. I'm sorry but no that's gross and unsanitary!

I was visiting Austin from Los Angeles and of course had to stop at La La Land. The location was so cute and well kept. I wanted to try something different and Isabella made some suggestions and help me pick out the French Toast Latte it was delicious! Everyone was so friendly but Isabella really went above and beyond.

Visited on a Wednesday morning, line was out the door, wait time was 33 minutes from start to ordering. We tried the lavender vanilla latte, strawberry fields matcha latte, chia seed pudding, and avocado toast. Service was great, atmosphere was bright & clean! The avocado toast would taste so much better if it was fresh! I also noted a few flies roaming the pastry area.

The staff was really sweet and the environment was so friendly. The matcha was really good! It was on the sweeter side, but definitely a great place to check out if you're in the area.
