First of all, the service was excellent. Francesca, our server, was beyond nice and helpful, super friendly and patient on our first breakfast ever in Italy. The croissant with cream and strawberries is amazing. Honestly, I went there after seeing a picture of it on Google and I just had to try it. My expectations were high and it didn't disappoint at all! Great cappuccino, the panini's are delicious and we are going back today.

This was the best time! We found this place on our last day in Rome🥺 and everything was incredible! These were the best drinks we’ve had (4 rounds…🤫), thanks to Milou (best bartender!!) and the team was so friendly and sweet. We loved Eric, checked in on us and was so funny. I had a great experience at this café. They offer unique and different breakfast options, which I really enjoyed—everything I tried was super tasty. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that it’s always quite crowded, and the noise level inside can get pretty high. Also, the prices are on the higher side, so keep that in mind.

We came here because it was on our way back from the Colosseum, and we were very happy! For €15 we got freshly squeezed orange juice, a hot drink, and a great amount of food. It's definitely worth coming here for a brilliant brunch/breakfast. The only downside was we didn't receive any butter on our toast, and they didn't ask how we wanted our eggs (they arrived scrambled despite the picture being fried). Overall, a brilliant place to come.

Great place for breakfast, it’s very popular! The food and coffee so delicious and the staff is so friendly, and they have good breakfast deals, which includes fresh juice and coffee. We definitely recommend of your looking for a place that’s close to the coliseum and quick service.

I had a fantastic breakfast at La Licata. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made for a great start to the day. The breakfast options were delicious, with fresh pastries, excellent coffee, and a variety of local specialties. Highly recommend for an authentic and satisfying morning meal in Rome!

The breakfast menu was complete and delicious. My husband is allergic to grapefruit juice, and they kindly changed the drink for us. The vegetables were fresh. The staff was very friendly, especially Beatrice, who was exceptional. Despite the busy atmosphere, she visited each table and checked everything, which made us want to visit again. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Colosseum alongside your breakfast

We LOVED our breakfast at La Licata! We came here twice while we were staying in Rome. Beautiful view and yummy food. I am gluten free and their gluten free options are great. Your meal comes with a lot of food too! I would absolutely recommend and will be bringing friends :)

We discovered this place thanks to Yelp, it was a few minutes from our flat, very close and other than the queue (must be good if there is one) we as top notch. Would give it a five, but really all we had was some warmed street food and cappuccino and London fogs. Service is friendly even at the crazy pace they work at. Order what you want, get your ticket, go pay, and moments later your order is ready. The tables fill quickly, and expect a queue as mentioned. The place is decorated with stuff for sale, be it foodstuffs, or trinkets. What it really is, is a place that you can grab pretty darn good food at a reasonable price to get your Roman morning going on!

We loved this place for our morning cappuccino. We also ate breakfast here every morning and loved the avocado toast. The server remembered us after just one day and provided excellent service. We ate inside and outside and both were a great atmosphere.

This little cafe/restaurant was great! I was in Rome with my family and we rented an apartment around the corner from La Licata. We ate breakfast here every day. Their pastries and sandwiches are excellent. I really loved the salami on croissant and prosciutto on croissant. Both were amazing. They make an awesome cappuccino as well. If you're in the area you have to stop in for a quick meal.

The food is good! Lots of varieties of croissants and fruit and granola bowls. They also sell coffee, of course. For a quick sip and go! The service is quick, perfect for if you are busy, quick grab and go from the counter! The vibe is just like a normal cafe. I stopped by here often for early service.

Found accidentally outside Colosseum and was afraid of crowd. But seated fast and had the best chocolate croissant-type pastry ever. Family all loved their meals.

Believe the reviews this place is phenomenal! A small little cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is a little cramped inside but you forget about it once the food and drinks arrive! The cappuccino is likely the best I've had in Roma. The pastries were all very light and the creams in the pastries were all flavorful. The pancakes were too good to be true. Not spongy or overly airy. They were just the right amount of sweetness. If you're more of an egg person, they have eggs and they are fluffy and creamy! The service is pretty quick so don't fret about waiting too long for the food to arrive!

Very good and popular cafe. By the time I left at 9am, Saturday, sizeable queues were outside Staff were pleasant and spoke good English.

Incredible Tuscan meal and the owners were so welcoming and helpful! I had the beef stew and my husband had the boar ragu. Sooooo good!! Planning to go back again before we leave Florence.

Pastries are amazing! Great service and great food and coffee! We opted to dine quickly at the counter before our Coliseum tour. It worked out great but I saw they offer table service too. Highly recommend!

This is a place that I found on Yelp. Most of the patrons are local Italian's. You are supposed to go in, order and take a seat upstairs. Only speaking English, we sat down. One of the employees suggested to another "Please go help the Americans." They were very nice. Cappuccino and fresh orange juice was great. Pancakes are two three inch pancakes with syrup already on it. Bacon was buttery and excellent. Cute little place. Nice people. Small portions but great prices.

we were fortunate enough to stay super close to La Licata during our time in Rome and it came in super clutch!! since we were very busy during the day it was really important for us to get in some filling and nourishing breakfasts. although it would have been nice to have a traditional Italian breakfast (cappuccino e cornetto), that wasn't going to cut it for us since we were walking 25k+ steps a day!! also the food was delicious!!! I became obsessed w the dairy in Italy during my trip and that started with the yogurt i had at La Licata - i don't know why but it's just so good. it was nice to be able to sit outside as well and we met some other really nice tourists both times we came.

Solid breakfast! We especially liked it because it was one of the only places open before 7am that had an egg breakfast on the menu.

Cute breakfast spot by my hotel. The place does seem to get quite busy in the mornings so be prepared to wait a bit. Luckily for us, the wait wasn't that long. The juice is a must get in my opinion. It was amazing! I got a chocolate croissant which was a little bit too much chocolate for me but still very tasty.

Service was great, one of those places where you can order exactly what you'd like and they happily accommodate! Food was great, fresh fruit and juices, avocado, almond milk cappuccinos, perfect to start the day touring the city! We sat outside and the ambiance was perfect with the Colosseum in the distance and the gelateria as a neighbor. We will be back!

Visited La Licata on three occasions while in Rome (2 for breakfast - superb; and 1x for a cocktail, where they brought us a little dish of appetizers that we did not order, and charged us for). Breakfast for 5 was €46,50. Staff service was pretty good but the breakfast was a delight. Great location. Would return.

10/10 - If it's not broken, don't fix it! We found this place our first day in Rome for breakfast. We wanted to explore other breakfast places but absolutely missed day two and have come back here every day since. The servers are friendly and patient with English speakers. The food is INCREDIBLE, and you can tell both tourists and locals love this place.

I thought this place was just okay. We had a reservation and had to wait in line for a bit but we were first to get sat. I had the avocado toast and a passion fruit aperol spritz and my boyfriend got the veggie omelette. My meal was very bland but my drink was great. My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette but said it was just okay. I think we are spoiled with San Diego brunches back home so this meal was nothing special to us. The service was just okay too. She did take our order promptly but she was not smiling and seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else. There is a nice view of the Colosseum if you sit outside. Overall, the portion sizes here are great but I wish I would've went somewhere else for better food.

BEST vegan brunch in town (and Italy for that matter). Quick service. Hip atmosphere. I'll be dreaming about the vegan chocolate and apricot croissants, orange cake, and oat milk cappuccinos!

The vegan breakfast is AMAZING! Start with a cappuccino with soy or oat milk. The croissant, fresh fruit and "snack (orange muffin!!!) and fresh squeezed Orange juice were all so refreshing! The ambiance and service were perfect! I can't wait to come back!

The service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress was unbelievably rude. She didn't talk to us, just wrote down our orders and stormed off... multiple times. Not to mention, the starter that I ordered never showed up. The food was not bad but I will not be going here again.

Amazing sandwich : pistachio, mozzarella and ham was awesome!!! Make sure to get it heated. Great up service, cozy, and right next to the colloseum. Totally recommend.

Be careful with this place. They advertise 2 euro lattes, but in fact, charge 3 for to-go coffee in a very small paper cup. You have to drink at the bar to pay 2 euros. Seems a little scammy to charge a table price for to go coffee. Don't be tricked!

What a great little cafe! They waiter suggested the vegan breakfast and I'm glad he did. The carrot cake was not like American carrot Cake but still very good! The fruit fresh and delicious. The croissant was perfect. My cappuccino was so good, so much so that I had to have another. The orange juice is fresh squeezed, I normally don't like OJ because it's acidic but this was tasty. It seemed to get very busy inside and they have limited seating but it moves pretty fast. You may even see a dog or two stop in with their owners grabbing a coffee. Overall this place is a gem and with so many cafes around and having tried a few I'm definitely going back to this one! When in Rome! Check this place out.

This place is the best breakfast spot in Rome. The portions are hearty by European standards and the food is delicious and as a lovely bonus the prices are reasonable. The place is clean and staff friendly and their outdoor seating area is perfect location for enjoying your meal.

This spot is one of few places that serves American breakfast and is actually good. We also ordered cornetti (Italian for croissant) with cappuccinos. I like any place that allows me to be immersed in the Italian culture and also has a little something for everyone. It was great to see Italians walk up to the bar and order/digest pastries and cappuccinos while standing and then head off to work. It reminded of the scene in Eat Pray Love where Julia Roberts goes to a bar in Rome and tries to place an order in the same way. I liked placing my order in Italian. Btw, bars are basically cafes in Italy. I sat inside with a window view. Sit outside if you want a view of the colosseum. Experience was 10/10.

We came here for a quick breakfast before sightseeing in Rome. It has a lot of tables and the service is great. The waiter speaks great English and was able to go through the entire menu with us. I ordered the Tomato and Mozzarella Panini. Although it is cheap, it is a very mediocre panini. The tomato is quite bland and the mozzarella is not very tasty either. The bread is absolutely fantastic though and did save the sandwich to some extent. Overall, not too many great options for vegetarians. I also ordered a Caffe Chocoliato and it was really good. It comes with an awesome design. Make sure to mix and drink the chocolate with the coffee.

This place is not only super efficient but has the best selection of food. After eating pastries every morning for breakfast, we missed an American plate of eggs and toast. Their prices are great and the service is outstanding. I just wish we would have found them earlier in our trip.

Right in Monti, close to the Colosseum. I had the vegan breakfast and my husband had the americano. Food and coffee were excellent. It was crowded because it's good, people are friendly and bring in their pets. Excellent

This place was great!! Short walk from the colesseo. Really nice staff and even better drinks and food. I'd highly recommend this spot. They offer a wide variety on their menu and are happy to help with any questions you have. Fast service and great atmosphere

We went there for breakfast yesterday and loved our food and experience! There were quiet a lot of people but the staff is fast! Our waiter was very fast and attentive to all his customers. We ordered the pancakes and Salmon y formaggio sandwhich which were cooked well. We also got a nutella croissant and a chocolate dessert to take away which we ate at the airport on our return flight home in the afternoon. We even met the NBC reporter Caludio who was doing a segment on Starbucks opening in Milan from this cafe! He was very nice and actually took the time to have conversation with us! I definitely plan to return here next time I am in Roma!

Part bar, part cafe, and part tabacchi shop, La Licata basically has something for everyone in Rome. La Licata starts off the day with their breakfast menu. This includes traditional pastries like cornets or croissants, espresso, and even some american style options. At night though, their bar is a great place to start the night. In what seems to be popular in this neighborhood, La Licata serves a complementary buffet if you purchase a mixed drink off their menu. Choices include a lot of the classics. On a group visit I chose a spritz and my wife chose a negroni. The spritz was much sweeter than I expected. When the negroni was made they were not shy on the alcohol. The complementary buffet is full of some really good tapas. On our visit, standouts included mini focaccia pizza bites, eggplant, and potatoes. If the free food isn't your style, you can still order off their standard menu at night. The food menu includes a lot of vegan food as choices. Beer and wine bottles can also be purchased to take home with you. Avoid some of the tourist traps nearby and stop in to La Licata for good drinks, good food, and a good value.

Really loved this place. We came here a few times to get their cappuccino. As a first reviewer, I know it may not help that all we got was a cappuccino and a pastry but let me tell you those were both great. The cappuccino was take-out so we could walk and drink while walking to the Colosseum a few minutes down the road. The service was very quick and friendly. Great place in Monti.

Shoutout to the best breakfast in town!! So incredibly delicious and at such a great price!! The staff were so incredibly friendly!! By far the nicest people in Rome! We were just roaming around Rome and ran into this delightful place! It's fun, lively, and energetic! There's a ton on the menu and they have gluten free options that taste amazing! Ask for Simone, Eleonora, and Raffaele because they are the BEST!!! They truly are the best waiters and waitresses we've met in Europe! When in Rome, you MUST come here!!!

Found on yelp while near the Colosseum, we decided to give it a try because we were wanting an "American breakfast". The restaurant was busy with friendly and attentive staff. They had a delicious fresh fruit bowl and fresh squeezed orange juice. I ordered pancakes with scrambled eggs and was completely satisfied with my meal. I would definitely return here in the future!
