Saturday afternoon lunch vibe! If you enjoy sandwiches, consider La Lima Sangucheria. There’s indoor/outdoor seating with validated garage parking. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. I choice to have the Tuscan sandwich tender well seasoned meat packed with flavor along side the dipping sauce. My wife enjoyed the pastrami sandwich. I forget the name. The pastrami was succulent dressed and incredible sauce. The sweet potato fries could’ve been a little more crispy and seasoned but the sandwich carried the meal. They have an array for amazing juices and other drinks. As well as desserts that are irresistibly displayed by the cashier. The empanada were delicious also. The service again was top notch attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was clean at all times. Beautiful designed restrooms.

Google
Perfect spot for a Saturday lunch. I had the Chicharron. My friend had the Sakura. Both were delicious. Service was a little on the slow side, but they were SLAMMED. Given the cooking area size, they were doing a great job. The space of the restaurant is on the smaller side, so there are people standing around, almost hovering waiting for a seat. Did not love that or the feeling of being rushed through eating so the next group can sit down. I get you’re busy, but I want at least an hour to eat and talk. The manager was hustling to ensure everyone had everything they needed. It’s a well run establishment doing its best to meet demand. My only beef is I think the price point is too high. Either keep it at $16 and throw in a fountain drink and chips(?) OR bring down the price to $12 ish dollars. $16-$18 inc. tax for a sandwich only doesn’t feel good for a fast casual restaurant. Regardless, I’ll be back. I liked it here.

Google
Five stars is not enough! I saw this place sitting at the stop light on South Blvd and thought that looks new I should check it out. Came back with my wife and it was amazing! I'm not a sandwich guy but I am for this place! The menu is exotic and not standard on any level. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor is like a dance of goodness in your mouth. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We will be back..I would not be shocked to see a like around the corner for this place soon...it's that good!

Google
Everything about La Lima Sangucheria is perfection. The sandwiches are so tasty and exactly what you want a sandwich to be. The desserts are divine. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is top notch! What a great addition to the Charlotte food scene. Please go check them out and fill your bellies with yumminess!

Google
Food is delicious! Ordered two sandwiches and sweet potato fries and they were phenomenal. The place was very crowded with a line out the door. FYI it is very loud and because of the open concept it's not very cool inside.

Google
We do love Chef Bruno, this was our first visit to La Lima and it didn't disappoint. The flavors were clean and authentic. The sandwiches are layered in such a way that the components pair together in such harmony. The crisp on the sandwiches immediately let you know that you have made a great decision. I promise you a great feeling in this comfort and quick food.

Google
Where should i start? the russet potatoes are the fries. TO DIE FOR. one order per person would be suffice. i got the sakura sandwich and was EXTREMELY satisfied. quick service, friendly staff. my boyfriend got the steak sandwich, he said it was very good. just consider that they don’t cook it to order because of the fast pace environment. i want to try the tamari honey chicken sandwich next and the beef pastrami! would go back time after time. sakura sandwich is served cold, very refreshing. sandwich bread was crispy and they put the right amount of sauce and toppings. i do wish there was a soy sauce for the sakura. personal preference. parking can be tricky depending on where you park. you can take the public transportation or even scooter if convenient. this place is so good so expect a little bit of a wait and plan accordingly. indoor outdoor seating can fit probably between 35-50 people at a time. the lemonade / limeade BOMB!!

Google
Beautiful restaurant. Love the indoor/outdoor vibe. Food was amazing. Yuca fries were 🔥 Lots of good options! Drinks were great. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Literally the BEST food! I went for the first time last Friday and have been thinking about the Sakura ever since then so had to go back again today. The fries are also delicious - fresh, perfectly fried and seasoned. My husband got the chicken sandwich which was also very good - he got it last week as well so it was good enough to repeat. The desserts particularly the tres leches look delicious but the sandwich and fries never leave me with any room to try it. The staff is very friendly, service is prompt and the indoor/outdoor concept is very welcoming - I sat outside and given the shade and the fans they have it was totally comfortable despite it being ninety degrees. Highly recommend this place - literally one of if not the best sandwich I've ever had.

Yelp
Although I did dine in, I'm going to review this as though it were a takeout. The reason? The line for food was out the door and the door stayed open the whole time. It was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. That said, in future, I will definitely be getting takeout! The Italo sandwich was fantastic! Perfectly balanced meat and vegetables, not too saucy, and on the best bread I've had in South End. I can't wait to try something else! Interestingly, while sitting and eating, I overheard at least three people say that it was the best sandwich shop in Charlotte, and I'm not sure I could argue with that!

Yelp
Excellent place. The food was fantastic I had the chicharrón sandwich and it was out of this world. The service was good nothing crazy since you order at the counter but the staff was very welcoming and nice. The ambience is nice and modern I like the interior design

Yelp
My wife and I came to La Lima Sangucheria for the first time after hearing about it from one of the local e-newsletters, and it did not disappoint. For context, Peruvian "sánguches" are typical street food fare and popular in Peru for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu here offers quite a few sánguches options in addition to bowls, salads and other sides. In terms of drinks, there are some limited beer, wine, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages. My wife and I tried the Crema de Sol Soup (butternut squash), the grilled queso, the Tusan bowl with the Tempura Cauliflower and the Tres Leches dessert. The Tempura Cauliflower was OK, and we realized later that our server forgot to include the dipping Rocoto Honey sauce. Other than that, the rest of the items were delicious, I mean, really good. The atmosphere and service were great, common areas were clean, and the location was easy to get to. There is plenty of affordable street parking around. Overall, 100% recommended.

Yelp
I am such a huge fan of this new sandwich shop! I mean truly they are doing something special. I've been twice in recent weeks and I think about going constantly lol. The only reason I haven't been many more times is it's in South End and I live in Huntersville lol. I have only tried the tuna sandwich but it's so good I don't want anything else just yet lol. I usually eat tuna in sushi or a poke bowl so when I saw this sandwich option I was immediately intrigued. It's so freakin fresh and so freakin good!!! They have other yummy sounding sandwich options too so definitely check out their other meal options too. It's a busy place so plan accordingly. The staff was super helpful and kind. The place is goregous, open air and beautifully set up. This place is in a different class and I hope they are around forever. Love this spot!

Yelp
I went recently over with a good friend. The atmosphere was bustling and promised a good experience. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was exciting and different (to me at least; my friend is from Venezuela). I ordered the chicharron sandwich, while my friend ordered a steak empanada and Tuscan (steak) sandwich. Hers looked good and by all indicators tasted better. Mine was fantastic. Grilled pork belly with a nice aioli and sweet potatoes. I thought this would be one of those sandwiches that try to do too much, but it was amazing. Washed it down with a tasty IPA (and I usually prefer lagers). We took a couple of desserts with us to try out later. She was crazy about the maracuya cheesecake; the tres leches cake was more my speed. We both thought the Santiago tart was nice. Everything was great. My friend approved the food as authentic.

Yelp
Delicious! I tried the Sakura sandwich and oh my gosh -- I could eat it every day. It was incredibly fresh, with crisp yet soft bread that didn't tear up your mouth. The combination of green onion and fried onion added a great depth of flavor, and the sauce tied everything together perfectly. I gave it a quick dip in the salsa verde they offered -- tasty, but it masked the flavor of the tuna a bit, so I preferred it on its own. Could you share the sandwich? Sure. Will you want to after taking your first bite? Absolutely not. Did I finish the whole thing? You bet. The seating is tight -- I noticed a few guests with strollers having a bit of a tough time navigating the space. Tables are small and best for two to four people, though there's a countertop that seats about six and a small outdoor patio. What really stood out was the friendly and efficient service. Staff were not only welcoming, but they stayed on top of clearing and resetting tables quickly, keeping the space clean and ready for the next guests. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Probably the best sandwiches we've had in CLT! Love the vibe here - casual since you order at the counter, but still nice. It's worth eating there instead of taking out! After ordering and paying, you take your number to a table, and a server brings out your food as it's ready. In our case, it came out quickly! The Sakura is essentially poké in sandwich form, and tasted very fresh. I enjoyed the spicy mayo and that it still felt somewhat light. The Calle Ocho is a great take on a Cubano. We loved the relish it came with and the melty blend of flavors. I recommend getting some salsa verde from the back where the water and utensils are - this was tasty on the sandwich as well. They have pastries and even cocktails here, so it's a great option throughout the day if you're looking for a little taste of Lima!

Yelp
One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I got the Sakura sandwich which comes with tuna tartar, spicy sauce, and crispy onions. The bread was super crispy and delicious. The tuna was fatty and flavorful. The sauce added that acidity. The onions enhanced the crunch factor but I couldn't really taste them that much. The service can be a bit slow because it's always packed. It has a simple atmosphere but everybody is friendly an it's a great place. 4.6/5

Yelp
Wowzers. I have been twice this week already - run, don't walk. First of all, the restaurant has a light, airy feel to it and for how small the place is, they creatively figured out quite a bit of seating! There are 3-4 tables outside as well. The food we got: - the Sakura: my favorite sandwich - the tuna is so fresh and the sauce is incredible - the Tuscan: delicious steak - the Tori Nikkei: the chicken was so perfectly cooked - the Chicharron: pork belly amazingness - the rustic potatoes, sweet potato fries, crispy yuca and tempura cauliflower: all sides were fantastic! My faves were the rustic potatoes and yuca - La Lima salad with the steak: incredible and so filling! I think I could have split it with my friend - El Caesar salad with tuna tartar: not only was the tuna amazing but it was a HUGE amount piled on top of the salad. Easily splittable. - the Tres Leches: I will dream of this!! And cannot wait to go back and get it again. Timing tips: this place is already a hot spot so I recommend getting there well before Noon or well after the lunch rush. We got there at 11:45 one day and there was a line out the door and no seating. Went yesterday at 11:30 and no line and we got a seat.

Yelp
The best sandwiches in Charlotte. And the Sakura is the best tuna sandwich I've ever had. I also had the Crispy Yuca which was also extremely yummy and came with a really tasty sauce. Another sandwich I tried was the Tusan which was also great, but the Sakura took the prize. And don't sleep on their pastries, I had the Yuzu Eclair and of course it was amazing. Plus the decor was super nice, both indoor and outdoor space, and the staff was friendly. I'll be making the 30 min drive often!

Yelp
This place is outstanding! This is the art of making sandwiches! My favorites were the Asian ones, but all of them are amazing! Have the chicha drink with pisco! You won't regret it! Only con is that the space it's a little tight.
google avatar

Sirena O.

Yelp
Food is amazing - the Sakura sandwich was light, refreshing and delightful! The Sensei bowl was good too but between two of us, it was a lot of food! Yucca fries were also delicious! Service - friendly, personable and so great. Prompt as well! Ambiance - very clean modern aesthetic, we sat at the bar on a beautiful afternoon and the vibe is great! A new favorite in Charlotte!

Absolutely excellent. Great atmosphere. Incredible sandwiches. Excellent service. I will see the bread in my dreams.

Yelp
I was here to pickup an order & stood there for about 10 minutes...none acknowledged me in any way. Who I assumed to be the manager walked by me 3 times...nothing!!! The 2 guys packing the to go orders packe the order I was waiting for & one of them was about to walk by me with the order in his hand. I asked him if he even cared what order I was there for? He smugly said " what order are you here for so I can make your day better?" I told him the name & he said here you go. No apology for not saying anything beforehand or anything. I did want to try them for myself but not anymore!!!! Learn better customer service for ALL of your customers very disappointed !!!

Yelp
We ordered the Chicharron (pork belly) and Tuscan (steak) sandwiches with fried potatoes. I throughly enjoyed my steak sandwich. It came with a dipping sauce that really added to the already flavorful sandwich. I ended up only eating half and took the rest home with me. The service was speedy and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. It was super busy but they were fast with our meals and we were able to find a table quickly (it's an order at the counter establishment, so that likely helps). We had water to drink so didn't try the specialty drinks they made but they looked so good. We will definitely be back; loved that they validated parking in the garage next door.

Yelp
I didn't know Peruvian sandwiches were a thing, but WOW!!! La Lima's food is insane! the bread is amazing, the flavor combinations are stellar, and the sauces complimented everything. I no longer need other sandwiches in my life... We tried the sakura (tuna) and tori nikkei (honey chicken) sandwiches, and both were incredible. We also got some of their traditional juices, and those were excellent as well. The place was a little crowded but the staff was super friendly and I cannot wait to happily bump elbows with my partner while I try more of their options. I can't wait to become a regular here!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Can I give this 6 stars!? Where do I begin The food was SPECTACULAR and detailed - every component was seasoned individually. The staff were all so friendly and were cleaning the entire time we were there. The restaurant is so cute and I love that they open the garage doors open so it's an indoor/outdoor experience. I can't express enough how clean it was! The food was indescribably good and the pastries looked fantastic. I can't wait to come back
google avatar

Yelp
OMG this sandwich spot is going to take ALL MY MONEY!!! Delicious, fast, and great service. Good locations in South End as well. The Sakura sandwich...I could eat that everyday! The sweet potato fries were perfect with it as a side, as well as the pistachio eclair for dessert. Almost $40 for lunch (with a lemonade included), but dang it's SO WORTH IT!!!!

Bella L.

Yelp
This is very good please go try I met the owner he is very nice and this is very good restaurant
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
Take everything you love about Yunta and transplant it into an elevated sandwich shop. Both of the pork sandwiches we tried were top notch. All of the sauces are fantastic as were the yucca fries - can definitely see some Viva influence there. Pro tip: Get your order to go and find a spot off the Rail Trail for a picnic.
google avatar

George O.

Yelp
I was so excited to try La Lima as I am a huge fan of Viva Chicken & Yunta (same owners). The decor is very minimal and cozy, service was excellent! The sandwich we had (The Italo) was delicious! We also tried a couple of the juices, my favorite being the Peruvian signature Chicha Morada. Also enjoyed a nice pistachio eclair and a coffee. I will def try the tres leches next time as it looked amazing!

A L.

Yelp
We love Yunta so had to try La Lima. It did not disappoint. Very good and beautiful restaurant. Service was awesome too.
google avatar

Lonnie G.

Yelp
This is easily one of my favorite locations in Charlotte. I want to eat one of every meal at this restaurant at least once, minimum. The service is fantastic, everyone is friendly and asks if you need anything at all. The atmosphere is perfect for a weekend meal with friends as well. Just walking past this restaurant, you smell and see how wonderful it is. I have already recommended this place to friends and I look forward to coming back to this location, many more times!
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
This is a new Peruvian restaurant with fresh bold delicious sandwiches. They also have different traditional juices to pair with your meal. Service was pretty quick and the staff were friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful, difficult to come by these days. This is not a large location so keep that in mind but it's perfect for a quick lunch or grab and go sandwich. They have salads, bowls, pastries, and empanadas as well. The pastries looked so tasty and the sauces that go with sandwiches are a must try. I tried the honey chicken sandwich and the Eggplant sandwhich which was like an eggplant parm vibe. The chicken sandwich was better in my opinion. I also tried the dragonfruit drink which wasn't overly sweet, very light actually. Every sandwich seems to be crafted specifically to deliver a unique flavor so they don't really do modifications. Yes the bread is fresh and soft on the inside with the perfect crust for my bread lovers! Now for the value, the chicken sandwich was $15 and the eggplant was $16, no sides included for these. If you go, Enjoy!
google avatar

Taylor L.

Yelp
Tried out this new spot on Saturday and it was delicious. We tried the tuna and the veggie sandwich, with a side of friend cauliflower. The atmosphere and record was great. The only reason for a 4/5 is that it was a bit expensive. For 2 sandwiches and a side it was $45 and the veggie sandwich could have been filled more.
google avatar

Travis S.

Yelp
Food, atmosphere and service are all on point here. Absolutely a top 2 sandwich spot in Charlotte. And it's not number 2.
google avatar

Daisy B.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Location was casual and very clean. Service was quick. Will definitely be returning.

Andres Felipe S.

Yelp
La Lima is in a great location! I tried it today during my lunch break. My overall rating would be a 6.5/10. Food - I tried the Tusan and Butifarra sandwich. Both were good sandwiches. The steak in the Tusan sandwiches needed a bit more salt. The overall size of the sandwiches in my opinion were way too small for the price of the sandwiches. The green sauce and carretillero sauce really elevated both sandwiches. I also want to add for 16$ plus tip you don't even get a side. Considering the size, taste, and price of the sandwich, I don't think it's worth getting again. Service - Excellent. It was quick and friendly. What you expect in a sangucheria. Ambiance - again, I only went for lunch but the place was vibey. I will go again and try other items from the menu. I'm hopeful the price to quantity/quality is better.

Gabriella V.

Yelp
I got the eggplant sandwich and it was just so oily. When I lifted it up, the oil was dripping from it and that was disappointing. But the ambiance is great! The place is clean, the employees are very friendly, the salsa verde is one of the best I've had.
google avatar

Hector G.

Yelp
Stopped by La Lima Sanguchería for lunch with my wife. The space is clean and bright, staff is friendly, and service was quick. Tres leches dessert was excellent. My wife had the Calle Ocho sandwich--decent, but she didn't love the relish. I had the chicharrón; good pork, but the sweet potatoes didn't work for me. Sandwiches are a bit small for $15-$16, but I'll be back to try the bowls.
google avatar

Bradley C.

Yelp
Excellent food very unique sandwiches that were delicious. Ordered a bunch of different items. They were all delicious.
google avatar

Shannon E.

Yelp
Can't remember the names but the tuna sandwich was very good and the honey chicken was super tasty. Would like to give five stars but the price point to amount of filling in the sandwiches seems high. Great flavors though.
google avatar

Brennan V.

Yelp
Sandwiches have great flavor / sauces. Couldn't eat them weekly but pistachio eclair and passion fruit cheesecake are worth it.

Benjamin J.

Yelp
They have a small, simple menu and they do everything on it well. I sampled 4 of the sandwiches, the Tres leches and the yuka. The sandwiches had great bread and the meat on them was fantastic, but the standout was the sauces on the sandwich and on the side. They were friendly and accommodating at the register. The best part of this place is the open air design (which still feels cool in the 95 degree summer). You are in the heart of south end and it feels like it!

David A.

Yelp
La Lima Sangucheria is a must try! The inside and dinning area is beautiful. Every server/staff personnel is nice, informative, and attentive to their customers. Everyone is genuinely happy to be there. The food is the icing on the cake. The food was delicious and mouth watering. The food came out quickly and

Yelp
Love love love!! Great attention to detail, food is amazing, quick service. Very attentive! Have been here too many times already! The tuna sandwich is my favorite! Also the coffee is great!

MacKenzie W.

Yelp
Great new spot! I got the beef empanadas, a side of fries, and one of their juices, can't wait to try the sandwiches next time, it was very good! The employees were super friendly and helpful!

Claire K.

Yelp
Have tried the Calle 8, Sakura, and Italo and all were delicious! Would order all of them again, but now I know it's all good and I want to try everything. The crispy yuca and tempura cauliflower were also really good. And the juices. Really it's all excellent - highly recommend! I personally love the al fresco vibe too.

T M.

Yelp
One of the best sandwich's I've ever had!!!! Tuna was so fresh. Flavor was amazing. Also got their take on a lemonade it was incredible. The workers were very friendly. Pretty space.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
Wow, this place is special! The food is amazing and the service is fast and friendly. My favorite is the Italo sandwich.

Diana J.

Yelp
If 4.5 stars was an option I of would of given that. Since you can't place a "To go" order without going thru an app I had use uber eats and my eggplant sandwich cost 17.50 and although it had great flavor it was mushy and on the small side. Bread is delish! I ordered a regular/small Mexico coke in bottle it was $7.00 (did not check prices before I ordered it -lesson learned) Staff was nice and we will give it another try for dine in. I'm willing to pay the high price of a stand alone small sammie because ingredients were fresh and bread was yummy. Lets not gouge people on the soda though.

Kirby K.

Yelp
This place is incredible. Very efficient and friendly staff, nice ambiance, and clean. The Italo was the best samdwich I've had in Charlotte. Excited to try more of the menu. La Lima will do very, very well.

Brittney P.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible experience! I had the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries--both were absolutely delicious. But what really blew me away was the service. Every single staff member was so kind and welcoming, especially with my 4-month-old baby in tow. They greeted us warmly, brought silverware and refilled my drink so I wouldn't have to get up--thoughtful touches that make a huge difference as a new mom. At one point, my baby grabbed a warm sauce from my plate and started crying. Our younger server immediately stepped in to help--bringing napkins, helping me clean up, and staying with us until my baby calmed down. He checked in on us multiple times afterward just to make sure we were okay. It was one of the kindest, most attentive experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Truly the best service I've had in Charlotte & such a pretty Miami vibe--I'll absolutely be back!

Michael B.

Yelp
Amazing! Our new favorite lunch spot. Amazing food, incredible vibes, very friendly service. Can confirm that sandwiches, bowls, and desserts are all phenomenal!

Cecilia Z.

Yelp
Food excellent Service , slow but nice people Ambiance, little space but very nice place
