I have had Alex's amazing cuisine at a few places and each time, I'm amazed. Each plate has been beautifully composed and equally delicious. The flavors pop and you can taste the fresh ingredients.

I was lucky enough to have some La Llamita Vegana recently and it was SOO GOOD! Amazing Peruvian vegan and gluten free food. Everything was so fresh, flavorful and delicious. I loved everything I tried but definitely loved the shepherds pie, ceviche, and stuffed plantains. Highly recommend finding Alex and La Llamita Vegana at the next event/pop up. Can’t wait to have the food again soon!

I’ve been to several events that La Llamita Vegana has either hosted or been a part of, and the food has been spectacular every time. I’m neither a vegan nor a vegetarian, but I am a self proclaimed foodie, and this food hits the spot. Each dish is rich in flavor, creativity, and beautifully presented. The owner and chef, Alex, is Peruvian and incorporates traditional Peruvian ingredients and dishes into her menu. I love everything this place stands for, but mostly I just the yummy food. Definitely check them out!!!

Big fan of La Llamita Vegana and their plant-based, entirely gluten-free Peruvian food. Such great, unique flavors, and I always feel good after eating a meal. The owner Alex is a delight to work with for pop-ups at my business and is so personable with customers.

Amazing, ethical, exotic, delicious, exquisite are some words that come to mind when describing these unique dishes. Owner is also really nice and passionate about her work. The vegan ceviche straight up SLAPS!

I've never been to the sit down restaurant but I have been fortunate enough to have eaten food from here at markets and festivals, and it is SO good. I dream about the papas al huancaínas (sorry for the spelling) and look forward to the next time I can eat this food. I'm not vegan, and this food is still satisfying and flavorful. Don't pass up the opportunity to try some great Peruvian food- vegan or otherwise!

I had never tried Peruvian food until La Llamita Vegana and I was SO impressed! The recipes and flavors are so unique and delicious. Highly recommend going to any pop up you can catch and getting the platter with a little bit of everything!

I’m soo happy that vegan Peruvian food is now accessible here in Philly!! I‘ve attended La llamita vegana’s 4-course sit down dinners twice, and both times were phenomenal. I’ve also had catered meals delivered to my home, and it’s been so easy, convenient, and delicious. I highly recommend trying everything on the menu if you catch them at a pop up! It’s hard to pick, but I think my personal favorites are the arroz tapado, papa a la huancaina, arroz verde, and ají de gallina. The attention to detail and the similarity to non-vegan Peruvian food is truly impressive. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!

Yelp
https://www.hotplate.com/lallamitavegana is their website for individual orders. Apparently, they started off as a food truck and some of my vegan friends knew about this place already, but I'm not sure if they were aware that they are stationed at Globe Dye Works now. When I went to pick up my order, the building was no longer open. So, I had to wait to meet them at the door to pick up my order. I had to text via the HotPlate website and did not have a phone number to work with. I did street parking but they also have a lot available which I will park at next time. I had Aji De Gallina which is pulled jackfruit tossed in a rich, cheesy, nutty, creamy, & savory pepper sauce served over white rice and topped with kalamata olives. The jackfruit texture was made and flavored in such a way that one might almost think they are eating healthy meat, and it was very flavorful and comforting for me to eat this. The olives in this were fresh, any seeds removed beforehand, and the olives accentuate the taste of this dish. I think if you can't have olives with this, it would not make the jackfruit and the flavoring stand out enough on its own. I love that the texture is very healthy and that the dish is still quite delicious! I also ordered Arroz Verde w/BBQ Tofu which doesn't look as aesthetic as the presentation on the plate, but it is still a nice presentation but I'm pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. The rice used appeared to be brown - I'm not sure if brown rice was used or a sauce mixture to brown the rice. I'm leaning toward sauce mixture since brown rice was not specifically mentioned from the ordering test menu. The Papitas Rellenitas looks more like nice dumplings that the pretty picture online, and I have not had a chance to try them (yet). I received 3 of them. The price point could be high for many, but you do get quality food here. I don't know where else you can find vegan and GF Peruvian food (I am not GF thankfully) that is also excellent and that you don't have to make yourself. I see on IG that La Llamita Vegana is already aware of High Fidelity Bakery, also vegan and GF.
