La Llorona Taqueria Mexicana - Review - Downtown - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There is a new Mexican restaurant inside Downtown’s Moore Hotel. La Llorona is a sit-down spot with a full bar, lots of margaritas, and a food menu that includes pink tortillas for all their tacos. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

I went late at night, the food was good. The restaurant itself has a lot of light pink, which really brings the atmosphere together. Love the art, the light in the bathroom was very unique. Our server was great, I do not know if it's typical, they sent a sample of a tostada for free. It was delicious and unexpected. I will be going back, to try other items.

La Ilorona is a Mexican restaurant right next to the Moore Theater in downtown Seattle. It's pretty new, but same things apply to any restaurant down in this area - parking is tough so be ready to walk. Inside they have probably a dozen or so tables with a small bar area. Their menu is a decent size, with prices being pretty good for the big portion sizes. Flavors are pretty solid here though, including their wet burritos and carnitas tacos (with rice and beans in small tortilla cups). Service is good here, although it took a minute to get our orders taken care of and some follow up drinks. Overall it's a solid Mexican spot and a good place for a margarita or sangria before a Moore Theater show.

I had their original Magarita & El Tunchi which has watermelon in it with whiskey. Their drinks are flavorful and good sense of the deco. The main dish I ordered was Bistec Ranchero ($21). It was very flavorful since they used extra green amd red peppers in it. The steak was a bit tuff for me. Hope they studied more about how to cook their protein better. Next time I will try their shrimp dish. The tacos are good. I liked their deco. Welcoming vibe and open to single diner as well. Also, I had their homemade fran for dessert. It was soooo good with a cup of coffee~~. This will be my happy lunch place from now on. Thanks for having me today.

We got a couple wet burritos to go. Overall it was pretty good. They were both good sizes and it filled us up. We got one spicy salsa and one more mild but we didn’t taste any spice at all.

Excellent tacos and margaritas! This is the second time we’ve eaten at La llorona this week! The tacos are delicious with such great flavor. Today we tried the chips and dip trio and a different kind of tacos including shrimp tacos! Delicious door and great service! We’ll be back!

We came here before a show at the Moore. Fun atmosphere and relatively good food. I love that both plates came with roasted pepper. Some of their tacos came with a huge dollop of guac. It was a bit much. The margaritas were big and strong.

Had dinner here a few months ago while visiting Seattle. Food was excellent and the service was good too! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good Tex-mex restaurant in the Seattle downtown area.

Place is nice and staff is attentive! I got the tamales and they were tasteless. I asked for homemade spicy sauce and they didn’t have it! How??? A Mexican restaurant without spicy salsa.. geez Very plain in my opinion
