"Situated amid the picturesque alleyways of Spaccanapoli, this typical trattoria offers tables set closely together in a simple, informal dining room. Neapolitan cuisine is to the fore here, including popular specialities such as fried mozzarella, aubergine parmigiana, a variety of delicious fried dishes, bean and endive soup, pasta and peas, salted cod, meatballs and pastiera tart. A second restaurant run by the same owners and serving similar cuisine can be found at number 4 on the same street." - Michelin Inspector

We had a very pleasant dinner here. The service was friendly and polite, simple but genuine. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special — a small and intimate locanda with just a few tables, soft lighting, and a calm, cozy vibe. It feels like dining in a local home rather than a busy restaurant, with little noise and an authentic neighborhood touch. Prices are fair for the quality, and the food was really satisfying. Most dishes were very good, especially the trippa alla napoletana, which was rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. Everything felt homemade and prepared with care. Overall, it’s a lovely place for anyone looking to experience traditional Neapolitan cuisine in a relaxed and authentic setting — far from the tourist crowds.

One of the best dishes in Naples. Not many have rabbit. Braised so will the meat was tender, juicy and savoury. The Pici Alla Genovese was delicious, right balance is saltiness and caramelised onions. The decor was very coat classic Italian. The tables are fairly close together. The staff was attentive friendly. Definitely would come back to try other plates.

I did a quick search on where to have lunch for a short day in Naples, showed my bf the food and he said they looked on point so we booked a tabe there - did not know they were on Michelin list for years. The place was small and full, you have a waiting line even you booked the table in advance. It is a nice cozy restaurant with good service. Food was nice, i just didnt like the panna cotta with the caramel sauce because the taste was odd to me. Overall everything was good 👍

By far the best experience we had in Napoli. The servers were amazing and the food presented beautifully. We had a reservation so we didn‘t have to wait at all, the servers were very attentive and so nice. Food wise we loved the appetizers, pasta and desert a lot. It was pretty good and not too expensive. I can recommend this to everyone visitng Naples :)

Hidden little restaurant with a pleasant interior and cosy music. The starter was a nice little treat; fried pasta with meat filling and a touch of sweet, the two pasta dishes were delightful in flavor and perfectly cooked. The ragú was with tender beef and tasteful tomato. Recommended for those of you who need a break from the noise in the city while enjoying good pasta. We came without reservation just after opening hour at mid day on a Thursday and the restaurant was both full and fully booked for the rest of the day.

Consistently Delicious – A Must-Visit! I’ve dined here twice, once in 2023 and again in 2025, and both times were absolutely fantastic. The food is delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared—I loved every bite! I truly can’t recommend this place enough. One pleasant surprise was that they offer a dedicated gluten-free menu, which is a big plus for anyone with dietary needs. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and there’s a great selection of wines to complement your meal. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to eat here—I’ll definitely be coming back! I recommend making a reservation in advance, as they’re usually fully booked.

Visited 29/7/2025. Had the Ziti Genovese, which was appropriately cooked. Paccheri friti had a nice filling, but you must eat it before it loses it's crunch. The fried cod was fine, not overcooked, though again the batter could have been improved. Two out of the 3 house white wines we sampled were bad. I've never had bad wine, so when I asked if it should smell like this, they immediately suggested changing to a different type, which we were very happy to do (was surprised that at the probability of getting 2 spoilt wines in a row, and wondered if it was just the local wine that tasted that way, but couldn't find anything on Google about whether it should smell like urine, so we went out and bought a bottle of falaghina and that tasted fine!). Happy we got the Ziti genovese, and service was very efficient, but at the end of the day, the beef wasn't actually any more tender than the local osteria where we had it for lunch.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Yes I know it's a Michelin star however, it's more than that. It's like being in your Nonna's kitchen or Sunday dinner. Everything is authentic. There are no meals or dishes that are not part of Naples traditional cuisine when we arrived, we did not have a reservation and both locations were completely booked. However we held out and someone did not show up. Lucky us. The host was so accommodating and really truly try to get us as well as a few other people in even though we didn't have a reservation. Many many many people got turned away throughout the night and understandably so this food is fantastic. We had our espresso and we're about to leave when we decided to get the meatballs, probably our best decision of the night, if you know, Napoli, you know that the food truly does have raisins and pignoli nuts in everything. I can't thank the staff enough for having us, teaching us, and laughing with us. Francesco, Ciro and Marcella were all amazing. Make note: you do need a reservation but you can get lucky without one. Also, there are two seatings: 7 and 9:30 so don't bother trying in between those times.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, absolutely delicious place. My boyfriend and I tried getting a spot at this restaurant for our 4 year anniversary, but they were fully booked. Fortunately, we managed to get a late reservation for 5 (with some friends) late Sunday at 9:30PM. Highly, highly recommend!! We started with some apps and sides - the eggplant parmigiana (absolutely heavenly and rich; I swear it had some meat in it), a paccheri ripieni e fritti (a pasta main but we got to share - it was amazingly crispy and flavourful with the cheese and the ragu), scarole (a very interesting bitter green dish with sweet raisins and savoury capers, olives), and fagiolini (we thought it was a bean dish but it ended up being lemony string beans). We then each got our own pastas, and were each blown away. I got the baccala in cassuola, a salty pasta rule with tender codfish, olives, and capers, and shared with my boyfriend. He got the ziti alla genovese, which had a decent amount of brisket. Despite being lighter, it was quite meaty and still packed good flavour. We also tried the tripe - I found it okay, but it had a stronger offal flavour than the Chinese counterparts - and the penne lardiate blanche - which seemed similar to the cacio e pepe but had a depth of flavour from the lard. Finally, we ended with three desserts. My favourite was the tiramisu - chefs kiss! It was creamy, coffee-y, but also not too sweet. The torta caprese (pistachio chocolate cake) was nutty but a bit too sweet for my liking. Then we got the pastiera, an almond ricotta cake with shortcrust pastry. It had a strong floral flavour - we thought it was rosewater, but turns out it's orange blossom. An absolutely fantastic meal, and such good value for money!! We got a house wine, and for all that food, we only paid 137 EUR.

Yelp
Another good restaurant in Naples; Not as good as di Ettore but a solid address. There are two locations on the same street which by the way is very difficult to get to by car. The place was packed but the service was friendly and prompt. We ordered what they had suggested in the New York times article namely the crispy fried paccheri -- a locally made noodle -- which is stuffed with a combination of tomato sauce, beef, pork, raisins, pine nuts and mozzarella. It was good but the pasta was a little hard( maybe over fried. The pasta with tomato sauce was very good and the portion enormous. The meatballs were tasty too. We were so stuffed that there was no room for desert even if they looked really good. This was a good meal and I certainly would come back if travelling again to this part of Italy

Yelp
Made reservations for 7pm dinner. It is a small restaurant, so reservations are a must. Started with the mixed fried app (potato croquette, rice ball, and fried pasta) and a biancosarti spritz. The potato one was our least favorite - middle was a little cold - but loved the other 2. The app was much bigger than expected. For pastas, we went with the ragu stuffed paccheri and cheesy mixed pasta with potato since those are very unique and I had never seen before (though I wish I could have had enough room to try the genovese also!). Both pastas were great - the ragu paccheri was delicious and the cheese potato pasta was like a super creamy Italian version of mac and cheese (quite a large serving). We had the meatballs as well - they were melt in your mouth good, and even had raisins which actually worked. Even the lemony green beans were tasty - they took the time to remove the stringy bits off the beans. We were too full for dessert! Service was great and enjoyed the atmosphere. They keep wine on a tall shelf all around the restaurant, so they kept grabbing bottles with a long grabbing tool. I hope no bottles have ever fallen on the guests!

Yelp
Fabulous meal. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan and two different pastas. One of the best meals of our trip.

Yelp
Salvatore took great care of us. We ordered the tagliatelle with sausage and mushrooms, the meatball appetizer, salad and bacala with a bottle of Agnilico red wine. Excellent atmosphere, food and service!

Yelp
This place is a little gem. The food is absolutely fantastic. We shared the grilled vegetable salad which was grilled zucchini and mozzarella had two different pastas, and then tiramisu for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the tiramisu..... no words. Best I have had on this trip. Service was great. Prices very reasonable. We sat outside which was pleasant even with the scooters and cars going by inches away. Fantastic evening and would highly recommend.

Yelp
We tried to get reservations multiple times even asking our hotel to try if they can try. Unfortunately no reservations were available so we decided to try our luck and just show up and ask. They were able to sit us after a short wait (party of 3)! Everything was great! The kind waiter even humored us Americans trying to use our Italian words after everything was said the drinks and food came out and were so delicious! Overall great experience, will definitely try again if we're in the area.

Yelp
What a wonderful intimate place. Calming, inspiring good conversation and some time off the grid. Every bit of food was spot on, delicious. Mhhhh the Parmigiana di melanzane put even our veggie-sceptic son to his knees. Everything was as understated as it was remarkable. Thank you! The Aglianico house wine - really good, and excellent value, as was everything else. This is also a celiac's paradise, with a separate section of all the gluten-free dishes on their menu. So conscientious ... and delicious! Be there right at the opening minute or book ahead a couple of days... would love to be back, one day, back in Napoli.

Yelp
The Ziti de Genovese were in fact delicious... but I also ordered the pork steak with vegetables and it was server undercooked. SEVERELY undercooked. This is pork - it's dangerous! Sent it back to cook again without any issues, but it was still slightly pink when it came back. I ate the better cooked areas and left the rest behind. Unsure how this is a Michellin restaurant.

Yelp
Found this place in a small street. We were lucky to be seated as some people didn't show up. The fried pork dish was divine. The place was cheaply priced. We had wine, appetizer, a pasta and desert all for 24euros each. I would come back again.

Yelp
I will fill this in more later but had to immediately give this place 5 stars because the fact that it is currently a 3.5 on Yelp is a travesty.
