Where to drink margaritas in Denver | Eater Denver

"La Loma offers the same recipes and charm of its 1981 original restaurant. Visitors can choose from eight different margaritas, including the Fresca with lime juice and agave nectar or the barrel-aged coin margarita." - Camila Navarrette

Where to Eat Burritos in Denver - Eater Denver

"Longtime Mile High staple La Loma is no stranger to serving up delicious Mexican fare. The housemade tortillas alone are worth the visit. Order the burritos, from bean and cheese, to beef, shredded chicken, or brisket. Each serving comes with two tightly wrapped burritos smothered in a choice of green chili, red chili, or enchilada sauce, and served with a side of rice and beans." - Lucy Beaugard

Downtown Denver never disappoints and this Mexican place was BY FAR phenomenal! Still drooling over the food we ate. Outstanding service for being a busy Sat night. We got the shared fajita- fresh and flavorful toppings and juicy chicken. Salsa and guacamole top tier 10/10 recommend this restaurant when visiting Denver. We will be back soon ✌🏼

Google
This has to be one of the top five traditional Mexican spots for me. The drinks were incredible and the food absolutely outstanding. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, conveniently located around a lot of hotels and businesses which makes us an ideal spot for happy hour events. I definitely will be adding this to my list of stop in spots when I’m back in Denver.

With more than 4,400 positive reviews, I doubt that I have much to add. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food is very, very good. The chips and salsa were tasty. We arrived in time for happy hour so we ordered margaritas on the rocks and frozen. The amount of tequila was generous. Our table also ordered the happy hour appetizers. They arrived piping hot. For our entrees, we ordered the Carne Guisada, the Anniversary Plate, and a burrito. The burrito was topped with chili and served with rice and beans. The Anniversary Plate included a stuffed sopapilla, chili rellano, and chicken flauta topped with guacamole, sour cream, and the restaurant’s famous green chili sauce. The restaurant is popular so reservations are a good idea. Highly recommend!

Google
The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant. Inside was really cute, service was awesome. The chips and salsa were SO good. The reason I gave it a four was the meat was a little dry (chicken and brisket) but other than that it was good.

Google
Had a great dinner at La Loma. The fajitas came out sizzling and were very good. Great guacamole,.however for $14 I would expect something a little larger. 3 of us took it down rather quickly. It would not be enough for 4. Should be a larger portion given the price. House margarita had.good flavor and was decently strong. Server was a little bit of a miss. He seemed like he was annoyed we were there. Never asked if we wanted another drink or needed anything. Very nice looking inside the restaurant.

Google
I had the Anniversary Plate from this downtown Denver restaurant, which came with a stuffed sopapilla, chile relleno, and a chicken flauta, smothered in green chile This place is known for their green chile, so I was very interested to try that specifically. It was, as expected, quite good. It tasted very rich, like it was made with a lot of fat - and this comes through in the flavor. It's not spicy, but enough that you can feel the presence of the chili pepper that served as the original base - I think I would like it more if it was spicier. The pork shoulder in here, though, is exceptional. There were a few large pieces that were probably the highlight of my meal. As far as the thickness, I think it felt a bit light to me - more on the liquidy side. I would've preferred it slightly thicker, but overall, I did enjoy the chile Funnily enough, after seeing that the flauta was not covered in any chile at all - I had to ask for a bit more. Thankfully this didn't cause an extra charge As far as the actual content of the meal, this was exceptional. Probably some of the best Mexican food I've ever had What's the most impressive in each of the three foods in the plate was how crispy they managed to be, despite the presence of the chile over top. It showed how amazingly these were fried - that I could still get a great crunch despite being on my last few bites. The sopapilla was especially great at this, having a double-layered batter with cheese underneath that was so good The flauta was also stuffed with chicken, and the chile relleno was plentiful with its cheese as well. I also loved the rice - it was very flavorful, and cooked perfectly, but honestly what might be the real highlight was how good the guacamole was. It tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. So good We also got a margarita pitcher for our group, and this was quite strong, and very large For the price, this ended up at around $45 per person, which honestly isn't too bad considering the drinks + food. Also, the portion size is pretty massive Overall, I came here for the green chile, but I ended up being more impressed by everything else. 8.75/10

Google
We got there shortly after they opened for lunch and the place packed in fast! Service was fast and the food was amazing! Unfortunately we had to work so we weren't able to drink any alcohol. We had the mexican street tacos, flautas, and pick 2 - taco and enchilada with half green and half red sauce.

Google
In the heart of downtown Denver right next to the Brown Palace. Place is a bit upscale from your traditional Mexican joint, but it has character for being downtown. I didn't have a reservation at dinner time, but the hostess was nice and advised 20 mins was reasonable, and she was very nice in keeping an eye for earlier seating. Started with the chips and salsa. Great salsa then went with the guacamole, was delicious. I had the Mexico City Street Style Tacos with carnitas, and they did not disappoint. The house Margarita was delicious and well balanced. Rice and beans are very authentic. Server Nick was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous . Great place for Mexican food if you are downtown. Parking challenging and traffic can be a hassle but worth it

Yelp
La Loma was absolutely delicious, had a super cute ambiance and my server Roxanne was a gem! It's a must go to while Denver. The chips, salsa and guacamole were the best I've had anywhere!! I am typically not a Paloma fan but ordered one for the grapefruit juice due to fighting a cold and the Paloma was absolutely delicious!! They use fresh squeezed grapefruit juice apparently. I ended up ordering grapefruit juice to go to try and shake the cold I was feeling from drastic weather changes coming from Miami. As an entree I ordered the brisket chimichangas and they were out of this world delicious! Roxanne was excellent - sweet, was intuitive and made great suggestions. All around a great experience and if I had another day in Denver I would've gone back again.

Yelp
Went here with some friends I hadn't seen in 34 years. Service was *terrific*. The waiter was just solicitous enough but left us alone to talk and catch up. We were there for three hours and the place is busy, but we didn't get stink eye or any sense that anyone had an issue with that, which I very much appreciated. Food was great! We had margaritas to start which were solid. Also had the chile relleno appetizer which is like cheese and pepper filled egg rolls. They were so good! I had the cheese and onion enchiladas for my entree and got two sauces, both delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food, so I'd say it was a Denver home run!

Yelp
A much sought-after spot, La Loma, does not disappoint. I opted for Grandma's Green Chile plate and had the most scrumptious bowl of green chile ever. It is pretty spicy though, so if you can't handle the heat, I would skip this option. The portions are also humongous, so leftovers are likely and who doesn't love leftovers?
google avatar

Ebonie P.

Yelp
Great ambience. Service -depends on how you look. Food-not good at all. Bland, no seasoning, chips weren't even warm. The only thing good was the tortilla and salsa. The table over from me-exceptional service..my service was bare minimum. A waist of my hard earned money. Would not recommend
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Their tortillas are undoubtedly the very best in Denver. The kind you happily eat on their own... definitely try them out. I also ordered the Carne Guisada and it was phenomenal! Slightly spicy and super robust flavors in general. The churros we ordered for dessert were also fresh, crisp, sugary, and delicious. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and welcoming. The loved the friendly service and appreciated the excellent food recommendations. I will be back here very soon.

Yelp
We decided to eat here for Cinco de Mayo and it was packed but we were able to put our name on the waitlist, walk around 16th St. mall and we got texted that our table was ready within 15 minutes. The place has a lot of seating and has nice ambiance. Our server Luis was super nice and attentive. we ordered the Chile Rellenos, chicken fajitas and Pollo Tampico along with Sangria for drinks. The Chile Rellenos was so filling with all the cheese. I managed to finish it but my stomach was feeling it until the next day but it was good with the sauce. My fajitas were good but nothing out of the ordinary. I tried my friends Pollo Tampico and that was tasty. My friend said it's like how her grandma used to make. The chips and salsa was very good. We both liked the salsa a lot. Prices weren't bad.
google avatar

Cindy R.

Yelp
74$ for fajitas for two?! 14$ for guacamole and chips? I was scanning the menu trying to figure out where I got the price crossed with a rare bottle of wine. That doesn't even include drinks and tax and tip. We ordered fajitas for one (38$ plus tax) because we weren't that hungry and drank water that wasn't cold and the carafe had a chip out of it. And when the server asked if we would like extra tortillas we both got wide eyes and unanimously exclaimed. "No!" In fear that it would be coded as fajitas for two or would add some shocking amount to our final bill. Not angry at the server, just intimidated by the situation. I guess I shouldn't expect much value for money at a high end place. And I hate to be that cheap tacky person. But I wasn't thinking straight from the overwhelming sticker shock. Generally if a place is out of my comfort range, I just don't go there. I even suggested that we leave and not order anything after looking at the menu. This and the fact that we always end up in the tiny table section where you can put your arm around the person at the table next to you and have a full conversation. And the fact that whenever I order a soda I get two drops of soda in a glass of ice. I guess that why they don't put ice in their water because they used it all on the soda. And didn't the fajitas used to be served with grilled veggies instead of solid pile of undercooked white onion? And didn't it come with this really good butter cornbread thing? I don't know if I am remembering correctly. La Loma used to be my favorite restaurant in Denver but is officially black listed in my book based on price. There are places I like better that are 25$ for a huge plate of amazing, authentic food that would out weigh the fajitas for two plate. Maybe a little more low end in terms of decor but that's more my vibe anyway. I don't need all this. Just put me down as a casualty of inflation.

Yelp
Parking SUCKS, I won't be back. 3 normal entree's with 2 house margaritas $90. That is price gouging
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service, and great drinks! They are a bit on the pricier side ($14 for guacamole is criminal) but it was good.
google avatar

Alejandra C.

Yelp
The food is very delicious, the restaurant has a great ambience, and the staff members are friendly and provide great service! I had the veggie fajitas and an iced tea. The other folks I went with had other dishes (chicken and beef) and loved them! Highy recommend this restaurant if you're looking for Mexican food and great ambiance.

Yelp
La Loma | Denver was a great experience! We had friendly, attentive service throughout our meal. We we didn't have a lunch reservation, but they were accommodating considering most tables were occupied. Next time we'll definitely make a reservation, this place was packed inside for a Friday afternoon lunch, so we ate on the patio. The chips and salsa were great! The salsa was a bit spicy for us- we're from Texas and frequently eat Mexican food, so the spiciness was definitely a bit more than what we were expecting. We asked what was in the salsa, and it may have been the Serrano peppers providing that extra kick. We ordered queso before the meal which came out piping hot, and was really good. For my meal, I ordered a mix and match where I got a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Everything tasted good, but the heat from the sauce was a bit much. Ultimately, the heat in the sauce kind of overshadowed the meal. The food here is great, but it's just too spicy. I wish they would dial the spice back just a bit, so the flavors can come through. Otherwise, it was a really pleasant experience dining on their patio.

Yelp
We had a group of 8 that went a few weekends ago for my bachelorette and I thought this was a nice place. Seemed expensive for Mexican food. Our server Mauricio was great! We had a bachelor party behind us and that made it super fun. We definitely made the place a little more party than i think it would be normally. I had the rellenos and enchilada plate. The chicken enchilada was just dryyyyy. The rellenos was really good. Nice crunch good flavor. My friend said her quesadilla was really good! Overall, I enjoyed it!
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
Ordered the Mexico City chicken tacos with avocado onion, cilantro jalapeños, could be the best chicken tacos I've ever eaten. 100% recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Joy Q.

Yelp
This Mexican spot is located in downtown Denver. The interior was warm and welcoming. Service was friendly Restarted the meal with some chips and salsa we asked for an actual spicy salsa and we're happy with the choice. Also ordered a pitch of margarita - I highly recommend their margarita! My entrée was the fajita chicken with grandma's green chili. The chicken was tender. My favorite part was the grandma's chili because it is so nicely flavored with chops of pork in it. I dipped everything in it, not only the fajita chicken!
google avatar

Lauryn R.

Yelp
The food is authentic and amazing, service top notch and ambiance unmatched! Loved the green chili plate and homemade tortillas
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the best green chile I've ever had in Colorado (and in my life!) My friend and I came here on a weekday around lunchtime. We didn't have a reservation but luckily they were able to seat us within 5 mins. We tried their chile con queso and the la loma combo. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous because we had leftovers to take home. Staff were so friendly and attentive! Atmosphere was modern, clean, and romantic. My husband and I are coming back for date night this week because I raved so much about the food.
google avatar

Yelp
How this place doesn't have 5 Stars for every review is wild to me. The FRESHEST Tex-Mex we have ever had, the nicest and most knowledgeable bartender, just a true joy to be here. Flavors are incredible, you can tell it's all made fresh daily and never frozen. This is the place to be for Denver Tex Mex. Go now!
google avatar

Scottie D.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food I have had in my life! We sat at the bar and our waitress was great. We started off with chips and salsa, and she mentioned that it is made fresh in house every day, I could definitely tell. For my entrée, I got the fajitas and man! Those were probably the best fajitas I've had anywhere! The steak was high-quality the shrimp was great, and so was the chicken. Everything was seasoned perfectly! And don't get me started on the green Chile it's bomb! I also grabbed a margarita that was flavorful as well. Anyone looking for great Mexican in the Denver area should hit the spot up!
google avatar

Aylin R.

Yelp
Excellent service and fantastic authentic food! I was informed that Mexican food was amazing in Denver and that this place is a must! However please he warned this is fancier than just a walk in restaurant, with some of the best and most attentive servers and staff. Their happy hour menu was delightful and I actually ordered from that for my entree which was the perfect size. Do recommend coming here for a date night or similar!
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Our waiter was super cute and accommodating! I enjoyed my mimosa, and the green chile sauce was amazing, but the shredded chicken tacos were just okay. My favorite part of the dish was the black beans. Glad it was a company lunch so I didn't have to pay for it! Be aware--the restaurant smelled great from all the sizzling food but it also meant that I left the restaurant smelling of the food!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place! The ambience was lovely and the servers were great. We had a large party for a friends birthday and they were very organized in making sure everyone got their food quickly and at the same time. For the food, everything was super tasty. You can tell it's high-quality and everything was very fresh. Just a very solid Mexican restaurant. My mind wasn't blown out of the water but I would definitely go back and it was overall a very satisfying meal.

Yelp
La Loma is a classic Denver restaurant. When I have friends in town, I love taking them there if it's central. I love the variety of options in the menu and the opportunity to introduce out-of-town friends to green chili. I almost always get Grandma's Green Chili Plate since it combines my love of green chili and La Loma's amazing tortillas. My friend ordered the shrimp salad and said it was really good. She said it was very fresh and refreshing. I recommend trying their strawberry margarita whether you get an alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Their juices are freshly squeezed, so that really brings out the flavor. Our server last night made sure to take really good care of us. He helped make recommendations about different appetizers and entrees. He also made the recommendation to get a non-alcoholic strawberry margarita when my friend was feeling like she needed a break from happy hour drinks. We sat on the patio and it was not overly crowded so you're able to get a Friday night dinner spot without a reservation. But, don't get me wrong it wasn't that it was not busy it was just at a steady pace. Our server didn't miss a beat serving us or letting out glasses get empty though. I think this is a fun place to bring people here since it's so close to mini Denver landmarks if someone is not familiar with the history of the Brown Palace or hasn't seen the capital and City buildings.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
It's been a long long time since we've gone to Denver, but a must on our Denver to-do list is to stop in at La Loma for some tasty stuffed sopapillas. Since we'd last been, the restaurant moved downtown. The interior is warm and friendly and the location was super convenient and walkable (close to our conference and to our hotel). So, we flew in on Wednesday, took the train from the airport to downtown, checked in to our hotel, and walked a couple blocks to La Loma. We arrived in the nick of time as we didn't have to wait to be seated. But pretty much everyone after us had a wait. It was Wednesday night and the restaurant was hopping. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the food was just as tasty as we remembered. The portions are plentiful so arrive hungry. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
google avatar

Joey P.

Yelp
Incredibly fast service! Amazing food. Good atmosphere but kinda loud. Grandma's Green Chili plate was very good.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
Other than the fire alarm and flashing lights going off half the time we were there...this place definitely deserves 5 stars. Our server, Gavin, kept his cool while the alarms were going off and also did a great job still serving us throughout all of the craziness. The ambiance here is fun but also great for a date night. The food? I definitely recommend their mini rellenos with green chili! Like something a little healthier? Their taco salad is FULL of yumminess with ground beef that is beautifully seasoned to go along with the corn, guac, and other deliciousness. Next time, we decided to try their fajitas with the homemade tortillas. We can't wait to come back!

Michelle Z.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Highly recommend dishes with the green chile. Service was fast and friendly the ambiance is best for a date night, but we ate lunch there as a family and that was fine too.
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
I visited La Loma a week ago to enjoy some lunch and a margarita. It was my first time to go to their new downtown location. I ended up ordering a La Paloma and it was fantastic! For lunch I ordered the Acapulco Grilled Chicken Salad and i couldn't have have loved it more than I did. Everything was fresh and delicious and I was completely satisfied. I'm not comfortable inside so I sat on the patio and it was perfect! Comfortable atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food and drinks. What more could I ask for?
google avatar

Dionne V.

Yelp
For a "high end" place the food was not worth the cost. I have had better Tex Mex almost anywhere. I had the enchiladas and my guests had Chimichangas and tacos. Their salsa verde contains chunks of pork! I don't eat pork so that was disappointing and they didn't bother to tell us it had pork on the menu and until I asked. Our waiter seemed distracted we had to look for him a few times. I tipped him well anyway! The enchilada sauce seemingly was right out of the can Yuck!!!! When asked by the floor manager I said it tasted out of the can. They comped my dinner but still $140 for Mexican???? It wasn't elevated food. The drinks were good and the refried beans too. Honestly we have had better at mom and pop type places.
google avatar

Allen C.

Yelp
Whoa... gnarly happy hour! This place is actually pretty delicious. The margaritas are awesome, the food is tasty, and the ambiance is definitely more for a date night. The bartenders are friendly and they know how to make a good drink for sure! The green chile is good here too!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Give me one margarita and I'll tell you how this is my new favorite Mexican Kitchen on the planet! Sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive. The bar (and restaurant) was lively and overall a great atmosphere on a Sunday evening. Began with Chips and Salsa. Maybe the best salsa I've had and it was actually fairly spicy! The EL DIABLO MARGARITA was very good although somewhat small (ice excluded) and I was very tempted to order another. The CARNE GUISADA was delicious and also spiced well. I never eat all the rice and beans but this plate was CLEAN at the end of the meal! Definitely on my list of musts when visiting Denver! EL DIABLO MARGARITA Herradura Silver, jalapeño, serrano, orange liqueur, house mix CARNE GUISADA Grilled steak tips in a spicy jalapeño and tomato salsa. Served with rice, black beans and house-made flour tortillas.

Ant K.

Yelp
La Loma is our favorite restaurant. Has been for over 30 years. Joaquin is an excellent server who makes our weekly dining a pleasant experience. Green Chile is the best in Colorado! The picture by the entrance of Grandma Mendoza brings back a lot of memories.
google avatar

Andy P.

Yelp
My wife and I would go to La Loma at least twice a month. We didn't mind the $12 margaritas and $15 burritos because we liked the quality and the ambiance. I always appreciated the validated valet parking. Well today they charged me $12 for validated valet. Bad decision that is the tipping point. Won't be back even though we live downtown

Bob M.

Yelp
La loma is one my favorite places to eat delicious Mexican food. I love their service and most importantly, a server, Francisco was one of a kind. He guided us to order our amazing margaritas and food. Great experience all around. Thanks Francisco we'll be coming back to see you.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
La Loma offers a Mexican dining experience with its vibrant ambiance and flavorful dishes. The 'Guacamole Tradicional' is a fresh, zesty delight, setting a high standard for the rest of the meal. Their 'Tacos and quesadillas are both delicious', they are perfectly seasoned. I recommend them

Nikita W.

Yelp
our sever Francisco was really good and made great suggestions . food was yummy and atmosphere was good . Overall a great experience
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great service, really good fresh Marg, and some of the best green chile sauce I've ever tried (I had to call my wife about it). The chile relleno was a different style in a good way and the chimichanga was on point! I'd definitely go back if ever in the Denver area.
google avatar

Danielle L.

Yelp
This place is a nice restaurant to do a get together with friends. Their margaritas and tequilas are tasteful and well balanced ie... I got kinda drunky face without having to taste alcohol. Service is good. People there are quick to help you and the food comes out fast. We got here early and had a round of Margaritas and chips. Salsa is spicy but be careful not to overload before the main meals. Okay, don't judge me but I've been craving those taco bowl salads lately and I wanted one here. It's pretty big BUT there should of been more ground beef, esp for the price. So, I probably wouldn't get it again here unless I ordered extra beef. The ultimate game stopper is their tortillas. Fresh. Soft and just can be a meal in itself with their green chilli. Solid food. Friendly staff.
google avatar

A C.

Yelp
Their chicken green Chile stew is world-class - as good as any other in Colorado and as good or better than what you find at the best-known spots in New Mexico. Waiter Juan deserves a shout-out as he was very on top of things during our visit. Conveniently located directly across the street from the Brown Palace, add La Loma to your dining schedule if you're hear for a while or if you only have a few meals in town.
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
Great place in Downtown Denver right across the street from The Historic Brown Palace Hotel on Tremont. We had Queso, Strawberry Margarita, Anniversary Plate & Chicken Enchilada & Bean/Cheese Burrito and they were all fabulous. Especially liked the Green Chile. Our waiter Nick took care of us. The next time you're in Denver make sure you visit this place!
google avatar

Marielle W.

Yelp
Food was so gosh darn awesome. Cute vibe and service but I cannot get over how yummy that food was. Go here.
google avatar

James Z.

Yelp
It had been years since my wife and I enjoyed the food a spirits at La Loma. Everything was wonderful, location, food and the margaritas... We have eaten a lot of Mexican food in our lives here in Denver. But the food is really something that everyone should try! Love La Loma and will return very soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and terrific tex-mex. Green hatch chili sauce is not to be missed. Great skinny margaritas.
google avatar

Yelp
The best Mexican food I've ever had! The service was incredible and we loved the ambiance so much. It was so much more than we expected.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've had and I'm from California. The staff is very friendly and polite. The setting puts you in a good mood. The owner was there, very humble polite man. Look forward to eating here again on my next business trip

Yelp
In a word? Abysmal. On the border may have better quality. Service by the waitress? FANTASTIC Service by the blonde female manager? 2 words. Fire. Her. Queso = lack luster velveta with raw jalapeños and tomatoes tossed on top. Took less than 2 minutes from when our ticket was out in until it hit the table. Anniversary plate is an absolute joke. A chile relleno is a specific preparation of a pepper...this was a jalapeño popper wrapped in a tortilla and fried. Sope...a tortilla filled with refried beans and pre shredded cheese. The flauta was as dry as the managers demeanor filling akin to cat food. The el jeffe is suppose to be super strong to the point you can only order 2...balanced for sure but not strong at all. The green chile was very good. When I decided to send back my plate the waitress was very understanding whilw the manager chose to come and argue the point that that's a chile relleno because that's what they call it...no...it's not. She was so hostile I then told her that my husband (who will literally deal with a bad meal just to deal with it) wasn't happy either but we were only sending mine back and to just stop arguing, but she was welcome to take his off too if she wanted to carry on. She told us to leave. Happy anniversary for sure Save your time and money and go to Taco Bell, at least their honest with their we wrap 7 ingredients differently and make up names to call them different things The waitress did give us 2 churros on our way out which she had put in before the manager showed up to verbally abuse us on our anniversary.

Yelp
The restaurant's menu features a range of dishes from countries such as Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia, all made with high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. One of the standout dishes for us were the mini chile rellenos that were fried like an egg roll and came with averse dipping sauce that was so flavorful! We also enjoyed the mahi mahi fish tacos. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming vibe, with colorful decor and lively music that create a festive and fun atmosphere. The staff is also friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer recommendations and advice on the menu.

Yelp
I love La Loma. I don't always get downtown for a mexican fix but when I do...oh I love it! Prices have increased recently, but the food continues to be outstanding. We often come for brunch on Sundays. They don't print a menu but if you ask about it, they'll tell you! I want to try other items, but I can never resist the Huevos Rancheros. It's so delicious. It comes with a side of green chile that you can smother all over the dish. And the flour tortillas...oh man...they are so good. Best tortillas ever. Hubs always gets the enchiladas and is never disappointed. Our little actually eats the rice and beans here with the kids quesadilla. Their house margs are fantastic. I also love the space. It's intimate and comfortable all at the same time. Come eat here; you'll love it!

Yelp
After contemplating where to eat for dinner, we ultimately decided to diner here before a Rockies game. They got us seated right away and started us off with chips and salsa. My wife ordered their Smothered Chimichangas, and I ordered bow of Chili. My wife's plate came with two chimichangas with guacamole on top and rice and beans on the side. The chile was not served "smothered" but instead served in a small bowl so you can pour yourself. It's honestly not a bad way to serve this plate. You can snot some chile on it's own, bite a chimichanga and then eat some of the chile, or just smother the chimichangas yourself. My Grandmas Green Chile plate was really tasty. This is the more traditional chili I've had so far in my Denver trip. It was also served with a side of beans & rice and tortillas. Best way to eat this is by making some tacos. Putting some chili in the tortilla and then adding the rice and beans. Makes for some really delicious bites. The chile was also spicy with the perfect amount of heat. I will definitely be returning here.

Yelp
I hadn't been in a few years, so I decided to treat myself. It did not disappoint!! I sat on the patio which was a nice treat. I picked Mahi Mahi tacos and I loved them. The mango salsa on them really made the dish. I also got the chicken fluatas which were really good. Last, I got churros that came with a chocolate sauce. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate sauce, too dark, but the churros full with Bavarian cream were really good. Overall, super happy.

Yelp
Our server Mauricio was the absolute, magnificent server maximus! I had about 15 crazy co-workers that follow me around whenever grannie picks food. And he accommodated us like a pro. So for starters - GREAT START! (Sitting at the bar for margarita kick off wasn't bad either). I ordered steak fajitas and CORN tortillas. A LOT of food, shareable, particularly if you feasted on their specialty, the chicken in chile verde. I can't say its "authentic" because it is adjusted to the "American" palate. But the food is GREAT, perfect rice and beans, crispy and fresh chips, lovely tequilas, great margaritas and impeccable service. Ask for Mauricio. He is IT!
