"In the heart of the Cévennes, this charming inn is the domain of a chef who specialises in cleverly crafted dishes using regionally sourced produce. On the wine side, Pierrette, a talented sommelier, will help you choose from the 300 references available… Let’s not forget the splendid cheeseboard!" - Michelin Inspector

This review is for the restaurant only. The food was delicious; the wine menu extensive and the few bottles we tried were very good; the service was simple yet sufficient and non-intrusive. Everyone had a great time and lunch there was the highlight of our trip in Lozère.

The review is for the restaurant where we had our dinner on the way back to Florac. The food was indeed delicious, well presented, and particularly good. The only exception that made me perplexed was the addition of some salad on top of my aubergine; it was kind of like having beautiful handmade paint sprayed with an airbrush. My two stars come for two reasons. A) I was served some very good yet expensive wine. The lady noticed some pieces of cork inside and promptly took my knife to remove the cork. I didn't say anything as much as I was flabbergasted. No excuses, nothing. At the minimum, for a high-class restaurant as they are trying to pass by, the minimum was a sorry. The best would have been to take away my glass and replace the bottle of wine. B) We took basically three menus, although we refused the dessert on one of them. In asking for a tea in exchange, the tea was charged at an additional cost despite the fact that the starter and main already cost more than the menu itself. Quite frankly, having good cuisine is just a fraction of the success of a place, and I'm sorry to say this place is missing the remaining ingredients.

This hotel is terrific. The rooms are quiet with comfy beds and the hotel is of a sufficient age that it doesn't need air conditioning to be comfortable even when it is hot outside. The food is terrific- the chef is wonderful and even catered to us annoying vegetarians with flair and care. The whole place is slick and well run with incredibly friendly staff. And the wine list and cheese are to die for. Will return.

We love this place. It is one of our favourite stopovers. Mme Agulhon and her team are welcoming and do an excellent job. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. Our little balcony overlooks the hills and the hotel is great for walking in them or in the Tarn gorge a very short walk away. The food is excellent and the wine list is well chosen by Mme Agulhon, a fine sommelier. Nous rentrerons encore!

A charming family hotel that places great emphasis on personal service as well as style and elegance when it comes to decor and treatment of guests. The guest room was very nice and conveniently decorated. Nice view of village house and mountains. Very quiet location if you get a room facing the back of the hotel. There is no elevator in the hotel or air conditioning. But that did not create any problems for us. We were offered help with our luggage. The hotel has private parking for its guests at the back. ||||We had booked half board and we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The dinner service was very elegant, but the quality of the food - especially the main course - disappointed us and was barely worth the price in our view. The breakfast was also stylishly appointed, but barely worth the price since there is only a continental breakfast included in the half board.

Outstanding food and service. We had an aperitif in the garden outside, in a lovely garden under shady trees . Delightful! The food was absolutely delicious, refined, and the presentation was impeccable. Amazing experience ! What a great find! We will be back!!

This 20 room hotel in the pretty village of Cocures, near Florac, has recently been extended and modernised. We stayed in an ensuite room that was comfortable with smart bed linen and was immaculately clean. In the charming French way, the plumbing was a little unusual. In order to fit a loo, basin and shower cubicle into a relatively small space the loo was in a separate room. This meant that it was not ventilated as well as it might have been as the other part of the bathroom had the window! This prevents a five star review. Don't let this put you off however as the principal strength of this establishment is the restaurant. Although the half board option, to which we had originally signed up, offered a limited five course dinner that was full of temptations, we opted for a la carte. Our bill was adjusted accordingly. The meal was outstanding and the service was quick, friendly and thoroughly professional. My 7 hour slow roasted shoulder of lamb on roasted vegetables was delicious but the piece de resistance was the cheese trolley....not a cheese board you will note! ||||This hotel has plenty of off road parking and is a great starting point for a drive down the Gorges de Tarn, which is an absolute must see, but do take a little time to wander round the ancient village before you set off or take advantage of the suggested walks around the surrounding hills. We would definitely return to this charming establishment.

We had a wonderful stay in this small hotel. The room was extremely comfortable. The garden is perfect for a little apéritif in the evening and the restaurant is excellent. The owner was very welcoming: she helped us with our hiking routes and suggested a lot f sites to visit in the Tarn Valley. Do not forget to pay a visit to the river: a few minutes away from the hotel you will find amazing natural pools in the Tarn.
