The owner of La Luz Lightning was extremely helpful and skilled in recommending appropriate lighting fixtures for my home. I provided photographs of the present fixtures and surrounding areas. I made an appointment and drove up to Santa Fe to discuss possible choices the owner, Greg Purdy. I was very excited to discover that Greg prides himself on his excellent customer service and one on one consultations. He has been extremely helpful. His recommendations were within my budget. Greg was also very familiar with the quality of each particular vendor/company that he works with. Shipments are inspected on arrival to La Luz Lightning. This type of customer service is rare these days with the vast amount of online shopping often leaving the buyer to vett quality, costs and questionable return policies.

Greg gave me excellent advice and assistance finding a beautiful lighting fixture for my dining room as well as help buying a floor lamp. He even let me take two lamps home on approval which was so helpful. I love the many choices he has in the showroom as well as the dazzling choices on line that he represents. He is a real pleasure to work with. If you want something beautiful and unique La Luz is the place to find lighting in Santa Fe.

Greg, the owner of this fabulous store, is absolutely amazing! He is so knowledgeable and helpful in every way. He is, hands down, the best lighting consultant in Santa Fe. His showroom is filled with beautiful, one of a kind pieces. My husband and I were looking for fixtures for certain rooms and Greg wanted to know the dimension of the spaces, what kinds of things were in the spaces, what the finishes were, etc, so he could recommend the best options for us. He really took the time to go over this with us and never rushed us through this process. We consulted many lighting stores and Greg is the only one who took the time to ask these questions. We talked with Greg about our desires to update several of the lights and fans in our home and then sent him photos of the rooms. He sent an email with links to lights he thought would meet our needs and then met with us to go over the possibilities. His knowledge of the lights was very deep and he quickly got answers to the questions he couldn’t answer immediately. The lights we chose arrived quickly and Greg provided guidance about the appropriate drop for the lights and preferred dimmers to use. We are thoroughly delighted with the lights we chose and so grateful that Greg made the process fun rather than a chore.

We are two seasoned design professionals that recently moved to Santa Fe, after long careers in large cities. We are so appreciative of Greg’s design sensibility ( award winning interior design background), lighting expertise( aesthetics & technical knowledge) and ability to listen to specific needs. He responds quickly and with appropriate solutions/information. He is professional and totally approachable, as is Amber, who works alongside Greg. We highly recommend this resource for any lighting needs…interior or exterior. And no…we did not know either Greg or Amber until a few weeks ago when we randomly dropped into the showroom. It was destiny and an instant connection.

Greg at La Luz has been a God send for our new construction project! I was intimidated by the various specifications like lumens, temperature and such and every where else I went in Santa Fe felt like they didn’t know much more than I did. Greg was super helpful in every sense of the word. He clearly answered all my questions and made sure that what we were purchasing would provide the right level of light. He also immediately understood our personal aesthetic vibe and showed us many cool fixtures that will look awesome and be affordable. We ordered all of the lighting for our new home in Albuquerque at this shop in Santa Fe as there are NO lighting showrooms currently in Albuquerque. His showroom is filled with so many contemporary choices. Greg assisted us in selecting fixtures appropriate for every room and within our budget. He and his assistant kept us updated weekly as to the shipping of all the fixtures. They were professional, informative and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend!
