I stopped by this beautiful café after a haircut, and believe me when I say it was absolutely amazing! I ordered a pistachio dipped croissant, a café mocha, and an iced vanilla latte, and honestly, it was some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. The ambiance was warm and pleasant, with a calm, welcoming vibe. To top it all off, everything was surprisingly affordable. I loved every bit of the experience, and if you’re looking to impress someone, this is definitely the place to go!

This is obviously not an upscale French Restaurant. It is a chain with "Americanized" French food. I think its important to go in with realistic expectations. That bing said, I love la Madeleine. My go to is the Chicken la Madeleine, substitute the rice with mashed potatoes. It is so good. The coconut cream cake is one of my favorite desserts. This last visit was nothing short of exceptional. The food was great and the customer service was fantastic. They were incredibly hospitable.

I had a really disappointing experience at La Madeleine. I placed my order and still had to wait around 45 minutes for it to be ready. This is completely unacceptable, especially when customers expect at least timely service. No updates, no sense of urgency—just wasted time. Definitely not the kind of service you’d expect from a place like this.

I ordered a salad from this location that cost $7.99. It was literally a handful of lettuce and a couple of nuts with a small cup of dressing. This salad might have cost them $.50 to make but this is not the first time that I have received a salad from here that was skimpy and overpriced. It seems like lately at La Madeline their prices have gone up and the food portions have gone way down. I understand cost of meats and more expensive items but lettuce...really!!!

I ordered the Bacon Bon Bon Brioche. After leaving the store and preparing to eat, I noticed that my sandwhich was practically empty and certainly not worthy of 12.22. There was 1 egg, 3 tomatoes, 1 slice of bacon sliced in half, and 5 clovers of a veggie. The sandwhich was mostly bread and cheese. The toasted bread was flipped inside out. I went back to the store showing them the sandwhich they made versus the sandwhich i had last week at la madeline in Grapevine on highway 121. The video captured a full and fillingsandwhich worthy of my money. The host grew inpatient after i showed her the video and eventually decided to claim and argued with me that I was there before ordering the same sandwhich even after explaining to her Id only ordered that sandwhich in Grapevine and only 1 time. She walked around the store distraught telling employeesthat im complaining without wanting them to actuallysee the difference, and none of the employees seemed to understand the problem between the two photos after I finallyinterruptedand showed them. Instead of remaking my sandwhich that id driven 10 minutes for, they finally spitefully gave me a refund receipt. Also, there was an elder customer in line at about 4:30 when I walked regarding the issue with the product. He ordered dine-in. After receiving the food in a bag and informing the same host that he specified to-go, she even argued with him exclaiming that he ordered to-go. She became condescending toward the elder rushing him away from the counter until he asked for a manager. She then began to speak over him and ignore his request. After asking for a feedback receipt, she stated they did not have any. Now, if its not the grapevine location, i will not return to la madeline. The product was terrible, service was terrible and im still hungry. You absolutely need to get it together or youll be out of business soon. Theres many other places with much better service and consistency

Something has happened at LaMadeleine, over past year or so. There are several different locations where I have eaten for many years. One of the my favorite meals is the Country French breakfast, they scrambled eggs were always so fluffy & cooked to perfection Probably the last 3 or 4 times I have ordered this eggs have been scorched. I can do that at home. Also the portion is significantly smaller while the price almost doubled since 2022. (Of course, I am aware of change in prices of eggs) Today, I ate at Preston / Forest location & ordered French toast eggs & bacon. I was sitting outside because it was still lovely before noon.. When my food was delivered, bacon looked very greasy, eggs were not scorched this time.Thank goodness. French toast was cold. I went back in and told cashier. She told me I had to bring it back in.So I grabbed it to go box to put my eggs and bacon in. Then I dutifully brought plate back in. I waited 10 minutes or more, was eating other 2 food items, however , they were also not hot. I went back in and asked to speak with manager. She brought me a card for a free meal. I said "thank you, but I want my french toast" She told me they were remaking it. I did tell her, at that time, that rest of my breakfast was not hot either. However I ate it. In a few more minutes, she brought me a new plate of all food ordered. Guess what? Still not hot. I related this to her and said , I was taking eggs and bacon home, was not going to waste it!! I would reheat them there... I already had my go box. Probably more than an hour later, after I had run another errand in Center, dirty dishes were still on table outside as well as to other tables where patrons had been. Regards, Barbara

Soooo I decided to try them again. Went to the one on Preston. Ordered their new “BLT” (yea right). BLT is for Bacon, Lettuce & tomatoe. They had 3 tomatoe slices in there but the pinch of greens was a joke. Sandwich looks nothing like advertised. 3 flat pieces of bacon when its advertises thick cut. Hardly no sauce. I put syrup on mines. Just very disappointing. And again there were youngsters making the food. Don’t have anything against that but train them better. Unless that’s how you really train them to put less. If you advertise something, it needs to look like that as much as possible that’s why we want to buy it because of how it looks.. So this is my second time I may try one more time because I wanna try the chicken salad, but after that three strikes, you’re gonna be out .

Disappointingly, la Madeleine has eliminated the dinner roll in an order of pasta. The croissant roll just doesn't do it. Imagine soaking up chicken pesto pasta with croissant?!?! Horrible decision.

Back in the days when I was single and often forced to forage for my own meals, I frequently ended up at La Madeleine for evening meals and many weekend breakfasts. I know it's hard to believe, but there was an abundance of weekday nights, after I toiled 10-12 hours at the office, where I supped all by my sad little lonesome, forlornly eating a Chicken Friand and a cup of Tomato Basil soup at La Madeline shortly before closing time. It was truly a pitiful sight. In recent years, whenever the opportunity has arisen to grab a bite at La Madeleine, I've generally refused. Simply because it brings back those memories of dining loneliness where I'd hum "All By Myself," by Eric Carmen, throughout my meals. A few nights ago, after doing a manly workout at the gym, I wanted something quick and easy for my evening nourishment. On the spur of the moment, I spied a La Madeleine along Preston, and pulled the family Truckster into the parking lot. La Madeleine is a casual, no frills, affair. Just like the old days, you order at the counter, and wait for your dîner to be prepared. To be honest, memory escapes me what I used to pick all those years ago over the endless meals I ate at La Madeleine, but the menu still looked similar. However, these days, the help-yourself bread and jam that used to be a feature at La Madeleine had disappeared. And the French-inspired selections on the menu fell short of similar types of eateries that I've experienced over my many trips to France. While our order was ready quickly, it just didn't seem to hold up from what I remember all those years ago. It was fine, not memorable, but perhaps that's all one can expect from a casual restaurant where you order at the counter. Oh...and the highlight of my meal at La Madeleine? I didn't have to eat alone.

Options | Quick | chicken Rivera Options - there is a good amount of options. They have small bites, fruits, desserts, salads, and entrees. They range from traditional French dishes to more american. Quick - the overall experience was pretty quick considering you order at a desk and then seat yourself. They bring your food to you and the service team clears the table in real time. It is a good and bad aspect. Good - you don't have to worry. Bad - because they are literally busing tables right beside you while you are eating and there are multiple people doing that throughout your meal. On top of that sometimes the busser is also bringing you your food. Chicken Riviera - overall the sandwich and fruit was solid. A good meal with great balance and taste. It was perfect for some who so "hungry" not "starving." Why not 4 stars - it isn't special. It is a great spot if you want something relatively quick in a sit down setting. But, there are so many other options that have better food/ambience and vibe. - also the busser also being the server situation bugs me as a person who is somewhat of a germ-a-phobe.

Every time I come in, no one is at the register. Customers come in and yet there is never anyone to take any orders. And when there is, there's always only one cashier. I gave up and walked out. Not everyone has all day all night for y'all to get it together.

This location compared to others is relatively small. Looks like they also slimmed down on their menu choices. I've always enjoyed their soups - both the French onion and tomato. You can never go wrong with them! It is always a casual and family oriented environment here. Their service is okay. As of my recent visits, usually no interactions with staff outside of ordering and if I do the staff aren't warm or inviting. This location is located new Whole Foods and a bunch of other eateries if you are needing to run errands or grab a coffee!

Mehh... Pretty sure the chicken made us sick, and the service was fairly meh. What was good? The one piece of bread they gave us and the tomato basil soup. The broccoli was a little too raw and not flavorful at all, just partially steamed. The salmon was way too salmony and tasted not super fresh. The chicken had a thick sauce. Why do I think the chicken made us sick? Because it's the only thing we ate in the restaurant and finished. Everything else had leftovers that went home that people shared and no one else was feeling sick the next day. One thing that really irked me was when they brought our food out and there were no utensils. It just makes sense to me that if you are dining in a restaurant and you order food, even if you order at the counter, they should bring the utensils when they bring the food. Especially when it is a plated meal and not like something that you are ordering to go. When I asked the person who brought it for utensils, she told me they are inside and that I could go get it. So I am supposed to leave my kid outside by herself? Bring her in with me? It just seemed so unnecessary. It was an easy opportunity to provide good service and they simply failed. Insult to injury was that I tipped 20% at the counter when I ordered. I think that's a little generous considering they don't even bring utensils or check up on you in any way while you are dining. It might as well have been a to-go order. I live within walking distance and if this were a little bit less bad I would like to be able to come back more often. But just not possible with the combination of it probably making us sick and the service being suboptimal.

Waited 21 minutes for to go bakery items. No other customers. Staff not available once I placed order.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are almost always a no from me dawg but HERE, the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie is my favorite pastry of theirs. It is so rich and buttery and chock full of pecans that add the perfect crunch. It's definitely their best cookie, though their Lemon White Chocolate Chunk is a close second. I also really like their Chicken Salad, Fudge Brownie, Strawberries n Cream Cup, and Bran Muffin. Their pastries are quite hefty and filling imo. Everything's slightly overpriced, however. I recently tried their Fruit Tart and it was gorgeous but something in the custard cream aftertaste was ever so offputting. I wouldn't get it again.

I was hankering for something sweet. We drove by and I saw "French bakery " and we hooked a u-turn, pulled in, and checked it out. Best culinary decision of the day! The cafe is very quaint. It immediately puts you in French provincial mood. The thing that caught my eye was they serve wine and coffee. It was 11:00AM but 5:00PM somewhere! I was just happy for options. I ordered a salad with cranberries and pecans for lunch and a chocolate Sacher torte!!! Oh my goodness! The combination of raspberries and chocolate were perfectly married in a balance that excited my pallette! We couldn't even get out of the parking lot before it disappeared. I'm not sure what happened. Delicious! I'm already planning to stop again before I leave Texas.

Gotta tell you, I was a big fan back in the day when Patrick brought this great French idea to Dallas. But now, I wouldn't recommend it. The food is lousy and the staff doesn't care.

Disappointed in size and preparation of order. Uber refunded but this should not happen. Sad, sad, sad.

How is this place still open? Food is awful! Quiche Lorraine is now served in tin pan. Obviously microwaved as pale, uncooked crust. Egg filling is strange texture. Sad as once upon a time they used to be great.

We enjoy this location a lot, but today was a disappointed visit. I reached out to the manager regarding our comments regarding this experience. Manager was immediately available and they promised to make things better, also to use this experience as a coachable moment. I appreciate their concern and value the immediate attention to the matter.

Ordered a latte, a coffee, and two ham and cheese Danishes in the drive through. There was one car in front of us. It wasn't until we were at the window that we were asked if the latte was hot or cold (hot). So in addition to waiting for the car in front, we had to wait for the latte to be started. The Danish was cold, not sure if toasting was an option, but I really thought at least offering to warm it up would be part of the service. The latte was offered and we asked for sugar and a stir stick but were only given sugar then the drive through attendant disappeared. The wait this far was pretty long all things considered so we just went inside to get the stir stick. The latte was not even hot and had subpar flavor. So we drank meh latte and ate a cold Danish. Anticipating little things like coffee extras and heated food seems like a reasonable thing, especially when service is slower.

I don't leave many reviews, and the ones I do are generally positive. However, I've been coming to this La Madeline for years and it sadly seems to be on its way out. Came here with the family today and ordered a French Country Breakfast ("sorry, no potato galettes"), ordered a Crêpe for the kids ("sorry, no crêpes"). Asked for a kids menu ("sorry, we don't have any printed and I'm not sure what the kids meals come with"). My wife ordered a latte ("sorry, the machine is broken."). So, we literally all had to order something we didn't plan to order, from an employee who seemed very bothered by our presence and ignorant of the menu. I am giving two stars instead of one because the food came out hot. We won't be back.

Bonjour La Mad! I met my sister-in-law for brunch and we had an enjoyable time eating our food outside under the huge overhanging on the sidewalk out front. I love that there are tables available to eat outside. This restaurant seems bigger inside than most but the weather this week has been great so we opted to enjoy some fresh air. I enjoyed an almond crescent, my favorite, sorry to say I didn't get a picture of it! The restaurant inside was very clean and the drink station is spacious and easy to use. I forgot to scan my phone to get credit for the visit and didn't request a receipt. Darn it, I'll just have to go back for another almond crescent so I can scan my app! I'm so close to my next status level I can taste it!

We were welcoming once we walked into the restaurant. Even though it was busy, the lady on the register was very nice. Once we ordered, it did not take very long after to recieved our food. Once received it was Piping hot, which I loved, because it showed that it was fresh !!! The people who braught our food were very kind, and very hard working. The restaurant was very clean, and it was a overall great experience.

We reserved their back room for our group meetup this morning and the room was kinda closed off and very difficult for conversation. The layout for this store is a bit strange and different than the locations I've been to. I had tomato basil soup and it was good.

It looked like a nice place to eat. Unfortunately, when we ordered the lady taking our order decided to tip herself without telling us or even allowing us to select the tip. She tried to hide the fact that she tipped herself and when my wife asked what she did, she just said "oh, nothing!" The reason we visited this place was for the healthy food options. My wife can't eat diary but they had nothing from the healthy/gluten/dairy free options. Even after telling them that she couldn't eat cheese, they still brought her a salad with cheese. The food was great but the service was the issue on our visit. I would never return to this particular just because of the service. Visit this place at your own risk!

The food is still good, but the experience has gone downhill. No longer do they have bread, butter and jam available--you must ask for it when you order. Nobody asked me if I wanted any. No longer do you get a friendly "Bonjour" either. You do still have to go get your own drinks and utensils, but they expect a tip. Super disappointing, La Madeleine. Are you trying to go out of business?

Pretty basic French onion soup. Could use additional cheese and less sodium and maybe toasted bread on top. They do provide unlimited bread to add yourself.

Yum! LaMadeline is super delicious and like a comforting warm blanket. It pretty much is a classy, (somewhat) healthy casual dining place. I love French food and this is my go to place for a relatively quick yet delicious meal My favorite items are the chicken friand and the Chicken La Madeline. You can't go wrong with either. They are timeless and super delicious!!

This place has gone downhill, their customer service is terrible, quality of food is atrocious. The manager is always making excuses.

Food is great. Environment is awful. While having breakfast we found that we couldn't even talk to each other because a group of business people were having a zoom call with open mics and speakers. The noise was so loud we couldn't enjoy our meal. When we talked to the manager, she said that she could move us but that wouldn't have helped at all do to the loud conversation. The manager told them it was ok that they were there and I told her that I would have to find another restaurant. She said that was fine with her so we left. This is not an office, it's a restaurant.

Sigh. This experience was even worst than the last experience. I ordered my food and right after, joined a call for work. I looked down and .. I was 15mins into the call and STILL waiting on my food. I decided to get back in line, one of the workers asked if I had already been helped. I said kinda, told them I ordered 10mins ago and still no food. He responds, "yeah, you've been here awhile, that's why I asked." Then he walked away. K. Fast forward, I speak to the lady on the bakery side. I tell her the situation, she basically goes and looks for my order.. and tells me it's waiting on a pastry. How long were they going to let me sit there waiting for a PASTRY? Who knows. She then begins to prepare my order and to make up for my wait gives me a replacement bakery item + a cookie. Cool. I'm still irritated that I had to wait this long but stuff happens. Only to get back to work and see that they gave me the wrong salad. Just paid $10 for a chicken Caesar salad only to get a salad without chicken. Not a happy customer.

Kendal was amazing! She was so kind and welcoming and her smile is contagious. Thanks for giving us great service! Julie brought out our food and also was so sweet.

Do not eat here. This place should be shut down. When the front doors have not been wiped down in days and employees touch their hair while making your food it is bad bad bad. I have no idea how they are open. They won't be for long. The inside of the glass case was filthy. Employees just hanging around. Needs a complete overhaul of the interior starting with disinfecting and all new employees. Keypad and checkout area had not been wiped down for months I promise you. Not the la Madeline's I used to know.

Girl was so rude it was my first time in there she she did not help me my food was ready and they had me sitting there did not say a word untill I had to look for it will never come again

This place is located in a really nice area too bad that the people working there are not friendly also they don't have an idea on how to handle food I visites this place on a Friday morning to eat breakfast there and while I was waiting for my food I saw one of the ladies preparing a salad accidentally dropped some pieces on the counter which it didn't look clean and just picked the pieces and put them back into the salad, also they touch everything with the gloves including food and never saw them change them , cross contamination, I'm not coming back here.

I stop by for the tasty breakfast croissant with ham about once a week... hearty too.. plus the desserts are yumm-O!

Make sure you check your to go back for plastic ware, currently at work with food and not able to eat it cause no plastic ware.

I've ordered the chicken Caesar for years and everything that was good about it has changed to processed crap. The warm shredded chicken is now pre sliced cold chicken with...what is that taste...generic Cajun spices? Still charge the same though, for less. They need to close, and they will, it's only a matter of time. Congrats to them on being mediocre though, I'm sure they're proud.

The eggs are incredible. No other restaurant can touch their scrambled eggs. Thus I'm giving a rare 5 star. Lol

First time coming to this location and I wanted to try a new location. First and last time coming to this location. unwelcome environment. While the cashier was taking my order she seemed not delighted to be taking my order she had a face like she didn't want us their . She was taking our order but looking away . She was acting like she didn't understand what I was saying . I had to repeat myself . Almost like she was being racist towards us . That's not the worst part but the customer behind us was talking bad about us as well. This is just sad to have people like this . I'm definitely taking my mom to our original location we would normally go to .

I've been a customer for years, and it seems like the recipe for the chicken that's included in the chicken Caesar salad changed. It's not the same salad. So sad.

I have come to this la Madeleine for years and have always had a good experience- it can get super crowded so sometimes it's hard to find a table. The food is consistent quality with other locations. Always my favorite to order is the salad sampler! I love the variety that it offers. La Madeleine has several options also for iced tea which is a plus. I love the fireplace they have- the ambiance is super cozy!

I don't often go to La Mad because their food is generally not so great and a bit overpriced given the small portions. That being said, our last visit fell far below even those subpar standards. Let's start with the coffee, which was lukewarm. Even after asking for a fresh pot, they never bothered to tell me when it was done, so by the time I got back up there, it was tepid again. The avocado toast (see pic) essentially had the avocado airbrushed on, there was so little. I mentioned this to the manager who took umbrage at my comment and indignantly said "there's a half an avocado on there!" I suppose that's true if she meant half of an avocado that had been through a black hole first. I had to exchange the quinoa and kale because it had olives in it. Why? Who the hell knows. I don't think that one is on me because it never mentions this on the menu and I had already asked the cashier if the tuna had olives because I'm an olivephobe. Yeah, I admit it. But I am bumping them up to two stars because the poor employee at the register really did want to help despite what was obviously a less than five-minute long training session before they put her to work. (I'm guessing this based on the fact she had no idea what the ingredients were in any of their menu items and couldn't figure out the register.) And also, the egg and ham croissant was passable.

The staff here goes out of their way to be kind and they greet you with a smile. I get the American breakfast with soft scrambled eggs and a cappuccino or a American coffee and the croissants are so divine. And the staff is amazingly sweet... I especially love the Way the cashier Bouchra always greets us with a smile, and is happy to see us. We really look forward to coming the people are so sweet and the food is fantastic especially the French onion soup is amazing.

I waited 30 minutes for my to-go order and it was sitting back there ready. I finally left and had to turn around to go get a side of bacon that wasn't in there. When I got home the bacon was cold, stale, and literally in a thousand pieces. Horrible place.

This location is highly unorganized. I would agree with previous posters that other La Madeline restaurants are consistent and good, however, the location at Preston and Forest has employees who are inattentive to customers and will allow customers to wait over 50 minutes for a single to go order when the store is not busy. I highly recommend you pass on this location.

I enjoy La Madeleine very much. Good quality food at an OK price. My favorites are the Eggs Benedict, French Toast for breakfast and the Salads. The pastries are awesome.

We had stopped coming to this location for about a year because it hadn't gotten to be a little unkept and dirty and the service and food weren't that great anymore. We were in the area last weekend that we decided to give them another try. Not sure if there's a new manager or what but it was back to what we were used to and expected! Clean environment, and good food! It was so good that we returned again this weekend!

Ordered Lemon iced madeleines they didn't taste lemony at all and they were dry and flavorless. It took forever for us to get our drinks, too. I will not be returning here, I would rather go to the Starbucks down the street.

Food is great. But you all NEVER answer the phone, or when you do I'm on hold for 20 minutes. By the time I pull up I end the call only to see that staff is not occupied. This place used to have better customer service. I'll start going to the Mockingbird location.

This gets worse as time goes by. Prices are up, food is less, , wAiting for the food takes a long time, while a half dozen employees socialize. Used to be a frequent customer , but i can find better choices for lunch. Thumbs down !

Just had the worst chicken Caesar. Had to do takeout since the virus prevents dine in, but still no excuse. They used to make dressing fresh and quality romaine and have the nice portion of chicken warm in foil. This was bagged lettuce and dressing straight from a bottle with an ounce of cold chicken . Better off going to Tom Thumb or Wendy's for a salad. Why has La Madeleine let a franchise model cut quality so much?

This was a horrible To-Go lunch. I remember why I stopped coming. The food quality isn't what it use to be. The lady working the to-go was very nice. I wish that I would've looked at the salad before I left. $4.50 is ridiculous for the few greens I received. My chicken friand was missing all but a small amount of chicken and the cream sauce was cold. My total was over $15 and and was worth $1 at best.

We went to get pastries @ the pastry side. We told Steven what we wanted. He then proceeded to help OTHERS with giving them their pastries. (AFTER we had paid for ours!). He took so long that we went over to a bench & sat down. After "awhile", my step-mom went up to Stephen & said "we pointed to what we wanted & paid for them long ago! When are you going to get our stuff out & give it to us?" He said, "ok, ok!" Then, he started slamming cabinet doors open & closed as he got our stuff. He was so rude to us that we did not even say "thank you!" He was so rude & mean to us; for NO reason!

My wife and I went for breakfast on Saturday. We ordered 2 eggs over easy with a croissant, egg white omelet, potato galette and 2 drip coffees. Overall it was just ok. The croissant was tasty but not really flaky. Eggs were a little under-cooked but fine. Egg White omelet was ok. The baguette that came with the omelet could have used a crisper crust. The potato gallette was a tad too salty but otherwise really great. The coffee was fine. Hadn't been here in a while so not sure if this quality is the new norm or if they were having an off day.

Saturday 9/8/19 my brother picked up American Breakfasts for us. We enjoyed what we considered to be the perfect soft scrambled eggs we requested, bacon and perfect browned croissants. It was so delicious we decided to order the same Sunday. The breakfast we received Sunday was horrible. Eggs way over cooked, croissants undercooked...we were so disappointed...Saturday was a 5 star experience and Sunday a 1 star experience.
