La Maison Review - Kreuzberg - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Although it’s technically a café and boulangerie, this canalside daytime spot is one of our favorite places to drink in the area. Come on a Sunday in spring after ambling down Nowkölln flea market to share a bottle of Riesling or hover around the orange wine tap. The outdoor patio bar churns out trays of Aperol and Campari spritzes until the early evening when everyone disperses to nearby restaurants or onto another bar. Once the weather warms up, Berlin locals and in-the-know tourists swarm this Paul-Lincke-Ufer suntrap, so finding an available bistro chair is almost as painstaking as a rent-controlled apartment. La Maison also serves great coffee and the flakiest pastries in the city, which explains the perennially long queue for the patisserie hatch." - Olivia Ladanyi

I've been in the restaurant twice so far, once during normal days and once in Ramadan. Both times I had an amazing experience 🤍 The food is really delicious and authentic 😋🤍 Especially the Iftar menu 💯 It was amazingly delicious 🤍 The service and the whole atmosphere have also been great 🫶🏼 I would highly recommend this restaurant if you'd like to get some glimpses of Tunisia 🤍🫶🏼 From the Decor and atmosphere to the service and the food a 10 out of 10 ⭐️✨️

Expensive disappointment. Even leaving aside the 1 hour wait between seating and getting appetisizer, the quality and presentation was such a let down. I am embarrassed to have brought friends here. No one liked their food and we all ordered different things. The pictures are of the shared appetizer plate, and the beer stew (which was good to look at served in that clay pot but not at all conducive to cooling down or eat comfortably). And the flavor of all dishes was meh! €30 for my portion.

A hidden gem in Berlin. La Maison Bleue is one of those rare places where you feel both at home and transported somewhere far away. The Tunisian Berber cuisine is generous, authentic, and full of flavor. The shakshuka is a standout, easily one of the best I have ever had. The wine selection is excellent, the dishes are beautifully prepared, but what truly sets this place apart is the team: genuinely kind, attentive, and full of warmth. You do not just eat here, you are welcomed. A soulful spot that feels like a quiet journey. Go without hesitation.

"I visited this restaurant to try traditional Tunisian cuisine, and the food did not disappoint. The flavors were rich, and the lamb ribs I ordered were both tender and delicious. The restaurant is well-decorated, reflecting the Tunisian theme, and it was clean and inviting. However, the service was not as warm as I expected, especially considering Tunisia's reputation for hospitality. Additionally, the location isn’t in the best neighborhood, and parking can be challenging to find—and it's not free

Wonderful, authentic Tunisian restaurant with all the dishes and drinks that you would expect. You will be served a tasty meal by lovely staff in a cosy environment, making you feel as you were in the Tunis Medina. A hidden gem that is well worth the journey - we’ll be back!
