The 12 Best Croissants In Paris

"La Maison d’Isabelle’s mahogany-colored croissant was named the best in the city in 2018—and it still deserves the crown. The crispy exterior shatters into a snowfall of flakes on first bite, and the cream-colored inside, which smells and tastes like it’s been marinated in melted butter, makes it the richest contender on our list. So expect a (fast-moving) line of croissant fans eager to snag this beast of a breakfast from the open-plan bakery overlooking Place Maubert, which buzzes with activity on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday thanks to the morning market. Insiders know to ask when the next warm batch is coming out—the answer is rarely more than ten minutes. Grab a caramelized palmier to munch on while you wait." - emily monaco

Wonderful patisserie with delicious croissants and baguettes. There may be a line but it goes pretty fast. It's located in an outdoor market area and is a great vibe. We got a variety of pastries and or favorites were definitely the croissant and baguette. The croissant was buttery with a nice crunch. The baguette was very crunchy with a soft interior with that same fragrant butter taste. Highly recommend visit if in Paris.

Google
Good but not great. I am really surprised to report that it is not the best croissant I have had. Personally I preferred Carton. The croissant looked beautiful and was on the larger side. Very crispy on the outside, almost too crispy to the point where it had a dry burnt texture. The inside lacked the distinctive layers and felt like it was missing something. I preferred the inside though, as it was quite airy and soft. Mine was still warm when I got it. I arrived around 11am on a Sunday. There was a line but it went quickly, only 5 minute wait. My friend got a salmon baguette and it was nothing special. I was very surprised to not love this place, after all the awards and hype. I am a croissant lover after all! Perhaps it was under-salted? I still cannot put my finger on it.

Google
I tried the plain croissant and the lemon tart — and both completely lived up to the hype. 🥐 The croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had. The outside is perfectly crisp and flaky, with layers that shatter delicately at the first bite. Inside, it’s soft, airy, and buttery without being greasy. It’s the kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good a simple croissant can be. 🍋 The lemon tart was refreshing and balanced — tangy but not too sharp, smooth but not overly sweet. The lemon curd had a silky texture and the crust was crisp and buttery, providing the perfect contrast. It’s light yet satisfying — perfect for a sunny Paris afternoon. The prices are incredibly reasonable given the quality. Totally worth it.

Google
Croissant is very good, best we had in Paris Very crispy on the outside Buttery on the inside Each bite was divine Pain en Chocolate is very bad, do not get! Chocolate was barely there and very dry Also recommend this cheese/ham thing with baguette on the bottom for salty options So delicious The wait to buy is usually around 20minutes but worth it on first try! There is nowhere to sit; only takeaway

Google
We had heard that this place serves the best croissant in Paris, so we decided to give it a try. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes, we finally got to order. The bakery is located on a street corner with no seating—it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. We ordered the famous croissant, especially since they proudly display their award-winning status. But honestly, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The croissant was quite ordinary and definitely didn’t meet our expectations. It wasn’t bad, just not as special as we were led to believe. Food: 6/10 Place: 8/10 Experience: 5/10 Worth trying if you’re nearby, but not worth going out of your way or waiting in a long line for.

Google
Today I went there and I didn't have to wait long, only about 5 minutes. It was like 12:30h and there were not so many people.I tried their popular and award-winning croissant. I must say it's very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's really good — I recommend trying it!

Google
There is a reason why this place was named the best bakery for a croissant. It did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations. I have had various croissants in my lifetime and nothing beats this. The butter croissant was fresh, warm, light, flaky, crispy, buttery, and made with love. It had everything you wanted in a croissant. Every bite was perfect. I will always come back here. Please visit this spot if you can. It is worth the trip.

Google
La Maison d'Isabelle is a true gem in the heart of Paris! Their all-butter croissants, which won the top prize in 2018, are absolutely divine—flaky, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The bakery’s commitment to using organic ingredients makes every bite feel extra special. The service is friendly, and despite the long lines, the wait is always worth it. If you're in Paris, this is a must-visit spot for pastry lovers!

Yelp
We went to La Maison d'Isabelle because of its high rating on Yelp, and it was spot on. It's more of a take-out place and there was an ever-increasing line when we went mid-morning on a Sunday. It was bustling and next to an outdoor market. We got a croissant and a cinnamon roll to go. There was no good place to sit down, so we went to the restaurant next door and ordered coffees and ate our take out food at one of the outdoor tables, which the waiter was understandably not thrilled about, but he made a bit of a face and said it was okay. As I wrote in one of my other Paris restaurant reviews, I can understand why Americans annoy the heck out of the French - we pretty much do what we want and we ask for a lot of stuff and have requirements that they don't quite understand. I also got a chocolate eclair that I bit into while walking down the sidewalk to our next destination. It was so amazing, I had to stop in my tracks and finish it.

Yelp
This wasn't a planned stop, but I came across this place in a local market square on our way to the Notre Dame. Absolutely glad I did. The bakery has just about every common French pastry at very reasonable prices. Food: - Croissant - Excellent. When they say they make the best, they mean it. Flaky on the outside, buttery and fluffy on the inside. Nothing like typically dry ones you get in the US. Each bite leaves you craving for more. - Pain au chocolat - Great. Soft flaky pastry with rich chocolate rolled inside. (Tip: these pastries are meant to be eaten right away or within day, otherwise they start to go stale and won't taste the same as when they come out of the oven) Service: Great. There was a line of about 5-10 people, it moves pretty quickly since they have multiple servers behind the counter ready to take orders and fast billing. Worth the wait. Ambiance/Vibe: Great. Small bakery in a local market area. You see locals and tourists shopping at this bakery. Cost/Value: Excellent. 1.30 euro for a croissant this good is a steal. Highly recommend buying a few items so you have something to snack on for the next day or two. Visit again? Definitely yes. A trip to Paris is not complete without eating a great croissant.

Yelp
A literal must!! Not only is it conveniently right outside the metro station but it was cheap and delicious!!!! I got a baguette with ham and cheese and chocolate croissant I think for like 5 or 6 dollars which is insane The bread was crusty and delicious and that chocolate croissant was life changing. Be prepared to order as the line moves quick but it is absolutely worth it and a must stop on a Paris vacation!!

Yelp
La Maison d'Isabelle is a small bakery with a huge reputation, and after my visit, I can see why. I stopped by for a quick breakfast, and what I found was nothing short of perfection. The pain au chocolat was hands down the best I've ever had. The pastry was flaky, buttery, and just melted in your mouth, with the perfect amount of rich chocolate inside. It was so good that I almost went back for a second one on the spot! And the butter croissant--wow. It was everything a croissant should be: light, airy, with that perfect balance of crispness on the outside and softness on the inside. The buttery flavor was out of this world, and you could tell it was made with the finest ingredients. The service was friendly, and even though there was a line (which is always a good sign), it moved quickly. The staff was efficient and clearly passionate about their craft. If you're in Paris and looking for the quintessential French pastry experience, do yourself a favor and visit La Maison d'Isabelle. You won't regret it!

Yelp
The best bakery that I tried on my last trip to Paris! Located in a cute neighborhood, quick service, lots of options, and affordable. I loved how flaky, slightly crispy, and buttery the Kouign amann is here. 10/10 would get again!
google avatar

Caroline B.

Yelp
I was so sad because we got here later in the day but they had already sold out of their famous plain croissant :( so we ended up just ordering a pain au chocolat and a cinnamon roll type croissant. 5 stars alone should go to the pain au chocolat bc it truly was amazing, however the cinnamon one wasn't great
google avatar

Yelp
The absolute BEST pain au chocolat I've had in my entire life. This spot won best croissant 2018, and I found it after some online digging for the best croissant in Paris. They don't have seating, but you wait in a long like and takeout your pastries. I got a regular croissant and a pain au chocolat. This was winter, so it was extremely cold outside and these two pastries traveled with me for around two hours before being consumed. This probably affected the texture a little since it was essentially like being in a fridge with the weather being so cold outside, but there was nothing I could really do about that. Nonetheless, the croissants were fantastic. They were not only outwardly beautiful but also so so delicious. The regular croissant super buttery and dense - you can tell they pack that with high quality ingredients. On the other hand, the pain au chocolat was absolutely incredible. The light crispy flaky sides and top crunchy layer perfectly enveloped the chocolate sticks and buttery layers inside. I can without a doubt say that was my favorite pain au chocolat of all time. I don't think anything will ever compare to this again.

Yelp
Great croissants and pan aux chocolate. Tip for Americans, if you want the quiche, go a bout 45 mins to an hour after they open. It's worth it
google avatar

Chase S.

Yelp
I had a handful of croissants in Paris and this was by far the best. Crunchy exterior, soft interior. I know it's a pretty general description but holy smokes the outside I has a perfect crunch to it. Walk up counter service, I went around 5pm and there was no line. Gives a Brooklyn bagel deli kinda vibe tbh, just walk up and order. Cheese and wine shops directly nearby, this is a good area to grab some pregame snacks.
google avatar

Yelp
I wondered where people were getting their baguettes from and followed a crowd of people. I knew I had to try it when I saw a sign that that they had the best croissants in Paris and had numerous trophies displayed on the counter. They had sooooo many options... sandwiches, quiche, mini pastries, cheesecake, bread, croissants and pain au chocolat. We selected a few items and were absolutely satisfied.

Yelp
We were on the search for the best croissants in Paris. After a lot of unsuccessful attempts at finding one, this was where it's at. The croissant might look burnt but omg, it was good - not burnt at all. Super flaky and buttery. We got a baguette, croissant, croque monsieur, coffee eclair and a Paris brest. All were amazingly delicious except the coffee eclair. The coffee eclair was definitely a miss. The croque monsieur was another show stopper. It was savoury and crispy. I was obsessed. There was a little bit of a line but it goes fast. You better know what you want when you get to the till as they are very fast paced. Definitely give this place a try. Next time I'm in Paris, I would definitely go again.

Yelp
Wanting croissants whilst in Paris, I did some research and quickly found La Maison d'Isabelle! Since the business received a distinguished award for their butter croissants in the past, I figured I had to give it a try. I arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday morning. There was a bit of a line but it wasn't too long so I hopped in. I ordered one butter croissant and one pain au chocolat. As soon as I stepped outside, I dug into the pain au chocolat. I almost don't have words to describe how amazing it was. It was flaky on the outside and so soft on the inside. It was really warm so the chocolate just melted away in my mouth. Even the pigeons attacked the crumbs that slipped away from me onto the side walk. As for the butter croissant, it similarly was very flaky on the outside and so soft on the inside. The goods themselves were also very affordable at 2.50 euros total for my purchase. The line was definitely getting longer after I had ordered my food. The staff was very efficient and friendly! The displays also showed many more delicious things to offer aside from the croissants. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and would 100% come again! Highly recommend!

Yelp
On a quest to find the best croissant after a search this place came up as the best in the area so we stopped by to give it a try. When we got here there was quite the line to go in, good sign? Sure it's not a very big place & the line moved rather quickly so that was good. They sell all kinds of pastries & different breads they also have a nice display of trophy's. We went for just simply the Classic croissant & it did not disappoint , nice & warm flaky it was very good, we enjoyed it. Fast pase inside u are in & out pretty quickly, fast service & decent prices.

Yelp
My friend recommended this bakery to me but upon arrival, it was apparent this was a highly popular spot in Paris. There were two lines - one line to a small stand where they only sold limited bakery items including their famous croissants and another line into the actual store to buy their other bakery items. We stood in the line for the croissants and it moved quickly. We ordered one croissant and two chocolate croissants and the total was less than €4. Both were amazing but I loved the regular croissant - so flaky and buttery on the outside with the softest, doughy bread on the inside. By far the best croissant I had in all of Paris. Given their popularity, the line and wait wasn't bad at all and their prices are so reasonable. I would 100% visit La Maison every single time I'm in Paris.
google avatar

Tom C.

Yelp
Spent the day in Paris and this my breakfast stop of choice. They have lots of accolades thus draws a crowd but they have a very efficient system and it moves pretty quick. It's a takeout spot so not seats. Most just grab and eat it on the way to their next destination. There are plenty of parks close by, I enjoyed my pastries along the Seine people watching. They don't serve coffee, but the staff was nice enough to recommend a place close by that offered a nice latte. It's hard to choose since they have so many options here but the croissants is a must try. I also really love their Kouign-aman. If you can get them while they are still warm, it's just chef's kiss!

Yelp
Best croissant I've ever had! My recent trip to Paris was a revelation as to how great croissant can be. Incredibly flaky and crusty exterior, buttery rich layer upon layer, so very simple but so extremely well executed with precise expertise. With the heavy throughput, and the several ovens baking croissants right behind the counter, these morsels of enchantment were delightful from the first bite and easily had me reaching for a second! I can easily see why they received acclaim for their croissant in the past but wondered how much better can this be if they didn't win the best croissant award for the current year? Is there really a better one!? I did subsequently try other croissants on the trip, none where as transcendent as La Maison! I'm not going to hide the fact that I packed a few in my carryon for my plane ride home. Not gonna say how many I brought back,.... LOL. Let's just say TSA was surprised. On my first visit, I arrived late on a Tuesday morning and the line was 20 deep, (if that isn't your first clue that this is good,..), but it moved very quickly as the service staff are no nonsense, nimble and efficient. Have an idea what you want before you get close to the pastry showcases and you'll be on your way to enjoying a French institution in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Amazing croissants, possibly the best I've ever had! My friend and I were grabbing breakfast nearby when we decided to pick up some croissants for our bus ride the next day. After a quick google/yelp search, we came across La Maison d'Isabelle and decided to give it a try. It was hopping on a Saturday morning! There were two lines, a shorter one on the left to buy croissants and other popular baked goods, and a longer one on the right to walk into the bakery for the full range of items. We got into the left line which moved pretty quickly and bought 2 croissants and 1 pain au chocolat. Even though we just had breakfast, we wanted to try the croissant fresh and took a few bites. It was SO good! I'm not a huge croissant person in general, but even I really liked it here. It was super soft on the inside while maintaining a nice crispy exterior. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris!
google avatar

Juliette L.

Yelp
Despite the bustling crowd and the ever-present line, the service remained swift and efficient (this is a grab and go place). We got the classic croissant and a chocolate croissant. The classic was simple, yet perfect. Each bite was buttery and flaky. The chocolate one was a decadent delight, it was as light as air, yet filled with flavor. In a city renowned for its pastries, this humble spot has managed to stand out amongst the crowd, and it's easy to see why.
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
Best croissants of our lives, I think. Both the plain and chocolate are basically perfect -- dense and super buttery. This was our first stop off the plane and probably will be next time too.
google avatar

isabella s.

Yelp
The reviews are true this is the best croissant I had in Paris!!! I'm pretty harsh on rating baked goods as I've had plenty in my lifetime but the croissant was fresh, flaky, and buttery soft on the inside!!! My favorite butter croissant!! Wish I would've gone every morning!
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
They have a reputation for the best croissant. They're really good! Really buttery and flakey! This place is really popular so there will be a long line, but it will move fast. They have pastries and bread and quiche and lots more too. There was a small market outside Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
Quick, friendly and delicious! Grab a bite on your walk to Notre Dame. I wanted to order one of everything. Despite it being May Day they were open and doing brisk business.
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
Easily the second best croissant I've ever had. The best ever is in Montreal. Sorry, PARIS. I also had a pear tart and a baguette! Everything was so freaking good! Only walking distant from my hostel and so affordable. Be intentionally and know what you want before you order. The line moves quickly

s k.

Yelp
We went there because a stranger recommended them for their croissants. They were absolutely wonderful. I also bought a large strawberry tart for one of my traveling companion's birthday...there was a fight for the last piece it was that good. My housemates came here the day before our flight home to buy croissants for people back home. They put them in a plastic container so they wouldn't get squashed. They said they arrive back intact and were so good even after the trip. I bought a Kouign Amann to eat on the plane on my flight home from Paris. Even a day later, it was so good. I'd go back to Paris just for that and the croissant (UPDATE: I found a place near my home whose pastries were the same awesome quality)
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
Hands down the best croissant I've ever had. And we went to 7 bakeries for croissants around Paris that week. There is so much traffic that you can always get a warm freshly baked croissant. It's so buttery but crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. It was so good I went twice in a week.
google avatar

Marissa E.

Yelp
We came here because I had read it was the best crossiant and the incredibly low prices. It lived up to this reputation in every way! My favorite croissant of the entire trip. The only thing to know is this is 100% a grab and go place. We arrived early to avoid running out of time before our Catacombes visit but there was no line at all.

Vicky L.

Yelp
Stayed in Paris for a month this was the only bakery we went to have breakfast with the fresh baked croissant out of oven or sandwich for lunch. Luckily our flat was a few blocks away from it. The line could be longer on weekends. The service could have been better but dealing with the crowds it's not bad at all. Compared with the NYC Paris baguette both price and quality this is much cheaper and better; a plain croissant in Paris baguette costs $3.19 but it only costs €1.20 in la maison d' Isabelle. Truly a bargain and treat for the taste buds and wallet.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
They won the best croissant a few years ago so we visited this spot for the croissants and pain au chocolat. They ran out of the croissants and the pain au chocolat the first time we popped by. They told us to come back in an hour for the next batch of croissants. We came back an hour later and got the croissants. They were still warm. My fiancé wanted to watch the world cup finals at the bar next door. I took a bit of the croissants and it was no doubt the best tasting croissant that I've tasted in my life so far. It was warm, flaky, buttery and crisp on the outside. It was so good! I had to go back next door during half time to order 2 more since I didn't want to share. I also ordered the chocolate log and the chestnut cake. The chocolate log was very presentable. It was also delicious. I normally like chestnut cake but I felt the flavor wasn't too strong here so I wouldn't get again. The croissant was only 1.20 euro!

Robert S.

Yelp
The line is long but it moves fast. Voted best croissant in Paris. The cafe next door serves them hot. Right across from a small farmer's market. Well worth the visit and lives up to the hype.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Simply put, this will be the best croissant you will ever eat in your life. There really is nothing more ( or less) that can be said about the experience of having one of this bakery's croissants. When in Paris you are cheating yourself out of an extraordinary experience if you don't stand in line for one of these little mouth-watering miracles.
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
Hands down. The best croissant I've ever had in my life. I would go back to Paris just to get another one. The way I found this place was such a happy accident. We were walking around to go see the pantheon and suddenly smelled this ~heavenly~ buttery smell. We used our noses to find the source. When we got there, it was a quaint bakery. We each got a croissant for about 1.20 euros. We went out and started eating them and then immediately got back in line to get another one. That's how delicious they were. They were nice and warm, flaky, and perfectly soft.
google avatar

Sherly H.

Yelp
My friend highly recommended this place and it lived up to her hype! The croissant was absolutely delicious, highly recommend! Its more of a walk up bakery and there were a few pigeons flying around inside the space. If it was closed off and indoors it would be better but still a delicious bakery. The workers were friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Diana J.

Yelp
Best croissant I tasted on this trip to Paris (out of the 5 places we tried)! Crispy exterior and buttery soft/chewy interior. 100% would recommend. They still had lines at 4pm on a Sunday. We liked it so much we bought another dozen to fly home to the states. Unfortunately they do not toast up the same . Will just have to come back!
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
Worth a stop. Kind of touristy. The pastries are beautiful but not really outstanding. There are several shops like this so if you miss it, don't worry. English speaking staff.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
The croissant au beurre was truly a thing of pure beauty! For 1,10 euros, you receive what appears as a daintily rolled crescent. A bite into this immaculate creation is pure bliss. Try to hold yourself back from devouring it all in seconds and take a look inside at the undulating flaked and buttery soft folds. Utterly superior craftsmanship. It is no wonder they won "Best Croissant" in 2018. A line certainly was present, but moved efficiently. Workers were attentive and interactions were pleasant. Only locals were here purchasing baked goods during our visit. Tis a good sign of good things!
google avatar

Lucy S.

Yelp
Hands down the best croissant in Paris! A bold statement, I know, but you're going to have to trust a complete internet stranger on this one. If it helps, this place won "Best Croissant" in Paris a few years ago. The croissant: Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft, gooey, and buttery on the inside. The layers flake to perfection. There wasn't a line when I went on a Sunday morning around 10am. I took my croissant to go as I wandered the charming streets of the Latin Quarter. There's no seating inside, so look elsewhere if you want the classic leisurely Parisian cafe.
google avatar

Han L.

Yelp
Best croissamt of 2018. Lived up to its reputation. It stood out even in paris! Definitely get a croissant here!
google avatar

Katrina V.

Yelp
La Maison d'Isabelle was top on our list for croissants. I'm glad this was one of the last boulangeries on our trip, because I had eaten several croissants at this point and was ready to try the best-of-best (they have a sign saying that they won a contest in 2018). Let me tell you... La Maison d'Isabelle is the real deal! Hands down the best croissant I've had. The flaky outside passed the crunchy sound test, and the inside was so buttery. We also got the pain au chocolat, which I thought was also fantastic. I got an ardéchois tart. It had a really nice chestnut flavor, and it was filled with a clotted crème and raspberry jelly.
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
First Impressions: Seriously, I could smell the baked goods from down the street. The bakery is opened the street and the wafting smells of sweets and spice would have lured me inside even if I wasn't already heading there. This spot is reputed to have some of the BEST croissants in all of Paris so of course it made it onto my brother's hit list of the top 12 spots for croissants. Everyone was super nice and friendly (despite our terrible French) and very patient with us as we were looking over everything and deciding what to order The Noms: The croissants did not disappoint. They were buttery and flakey and perfect on their own (though I do like to slather jam on it or have it with some ham and cheese tucked into the middle). Hands down my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE item on the whole menu is the Kouign-amman. Those babies are BEYOND anything I've ever had. My only regret is I only got two and by the time I tried to head back for more, they were sold out. SOLD OUT!? For the Love of God, WHHHYYY??? Lesson of the day, always... ALWAYS buy more Kouign-ammans than you think will will be able to eat. UGH. We got a handfull of other goodies, some fruit tarts, a chocolate éclair, a caramel éclair, etc etc. We made a meal of it and just OD'd on pastries, I'm pretty sure we all got diabetes at the end of the day. In Conclusion: I would (no lie) fly back to Paris just to eat more Kouign-amman's from this bakery. It's just THAT good. Do yourself a favor, learn from my mistake, order DOUBLE of the number of Kouign-ammans you think you'll eat. 10/10 would recommend this spot (one of my favorite bakeries in all of Paris)!!
google avatar

Celina S.

Yelp
The best croissant I had in Paris without a doubt. Perfectly flaky and crispy and soft all at the same time. We randomly stumbled upon this place in our neighborhood and planned to go back the next day! It's a couple weeks since we got back from our trip and I'm still thinking about it. Besides the croissant, we also really enjoyed the apple tart but if you had to pick one (would not recommend just picking one :), you should get the croissant.
google avatar

Sheyenne H.

Yelp
A lot of the items on display looks delicious. I got myself a croissant to try as well as pan au chocolat. It was delicious. The only downside is your fingers get greasy eating because of so much butter. Ok maybe that's not a downside ehem.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
The absolute BEST croissants in Paris out of a dozen places I've tried. Flaky and buttery layers practically melt in your mouth with each bite, leaving you craving for more. The aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air as you step inside, adding to the overall experience. This place won "Best Croissant" in 2018 and I can see why. A must-visit when in Paris.

Yelp
Best croissants we have ever tasted! We happened to be walking by and saw the sign that said Best Croissant in Paris 2018 and had to stop and try for ourselves! This was our seventh trip to Paris so we have tried lots of French croissants but this shop makes delicious croissants and pain au chocolate. Light and flakey outside with soft delicate buttery deliciousness inside! I'm salivating just writing this review and thinking about them! The baguettes were just okay and we also tried the kouign amann. Disappointed by the Kouign Amman as the carmelized sugar bottom was too soft and chewy but we are spoiled by B Patisserie in San Francisco Kouign Amann's. The proprietor of B Patisserie Belinda Leong was trained in France and makes delicious pastries! If you can make it to this shop, make sure to try them for yourself!

Yelp
The best croissant I've ever eaten in my life. The volume of sales is so high due to popularity that you'll always get one that's still warm, which is a huge advantage compared to eating the same product cold. So come at a time when there's a line, as it moves quickly, and insures you'll get a freshly made warm one. Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey and buttery on the inside. The inside was so buttery that my wife couldn't finish it. Her stomach is sensitive to super creamy buttery foods/sauces. The service from the person at the counter was unpleasant to English speaking foreigners. The Asian lady ringing us up was rude and condescending rather than merciful or appreciative in spite of us trying to order in French. Welcome to Paris.

Yelp
I've never had more than 1 croissant in my life, but then i had at least 6 over the course of 2 days. I don't think there's any seating, so it's a good place to stop by for a snack before you walk the city. I wish I could share how amazing the place smells through a review- like HEAVEN! Looks like there's a little market that surrounds it on the weekends too with cheese and meats too! The croissant was flakey and delicious- the baguette was also good. GO!! You'll love it!!

Yelp
You have to go here and get a croissant if you're in Paris. Expect a line but it moves quick and is well worth it. Best one we had during our trip!! (We went on a Saturday morning and there was an awesome fresh food market happening at the same time!)

Yelp
Lived nearby this bakery when I was studying abroad and came here almost every week. Hands down the best croissant I've ever had and for a very affordable price as well! I've tried a lot of their pastries and they all do not disappoint! Service is super fast too, so I can swing by on my way to school and be out super quick. Highly recommend the croissant or pain au chocolat!! I tell all my friends who visit Paris that this bakery is a must-go

Yelp
when in paris, you have to get a croissant, and La Maison d'Isabelle does not disappoint. it's right near a metro stop which is convenient for grab and go. during my one-week trip i went 3 times - that's how good it is!! every time I've gone, there has been a line, but it moves really fast. they were voted best butter croissant in 2018, and i can say it lives up to the hype. their croissants are crunchy, soft, buttery, and so so many layers! and for only one euro it's really hard to beat. i also tried a couple of other pastries like the Kouign-Amann and chocolate pave. the Kouign-Amann, again, is so crispy with tons of layers and sweetness. the chocolate pave was one of my favorites, too - the high quality chocolate with buttery layers is an unmatched combo. the croissants are to die for and i haven't found any others that top it. if you have any recommendations, let me know, but La Maison d'Isabelle has my heart!
