La Maison Navarre - Pastry, Bistro, Wine Bar

We ate here for restaurant week. The desserts were delicious but unfortunately the actual food was unremarkable. I would stick to pastries and desserts here and stay away from the entrees. We tried eating here a second time and tried the crepes. They were delicious and I highly recommend them.

Came for coffee and a treat with my sisters after a nice lunch. Coffee was excellent and worth sitting to enjoy in a real cup. The strawberry crepe was good with a nice custard. The coconut item my sister got was excellent. I love this little place.

Excellent excellent excellent. The oatmilk cappuccino has a great toasty flavor, and has been reliably good on multiple visits. The pastries are terrific -- I've gotten the almond croissant and the chocolate twist, both of which were heavenly. Awesome crispy and flaky crust, with a nice chewiness on the inside. Staff is friendly (and from what I can tell, very authentically French). The cafe part has plenty of seating and feels very open and inviting. We've made it a point to visit each time we come to Portsmouth!

My husband could eat the Pain au chocolate allll day. Love that a few of their macarons are dairy free (fruit flavors). Got the hot chocolate with almond milk. Unfortunately not a quality chocolate as it was reminiscent of Swiss miss

Very clean establishment with polite staff. The meals were full of flavor making them and the experience unforgettable. I enjoy spending time and money at a one of a kind place like this. You leave feeling satisfied with the amount of nutrients in one meal. I am excited to travel back here and try different items on the menu. The buckwheat crepe is one of a kind and worth every penny. We left with quality coffee, feeling full of energy.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting La Maison Navarre in Portsmouth, NH, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the cozy yet sophisticated ambiance that perfectly sets the tone for a relaxing evening. The wine bar is a true highlight—offering an impressive selection of wines that pair beautifully with their exceptional charcuterie board. The charcuterie board was a masterpiece, featuring an exquisite assortment of cheeses, cured meats, pickles, and fresh accompaniments. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors, making it a perfect choice for wine pairing. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just looking for a great place to unwind, La Maison has something special to offer. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, making recommendations with ease, and the overall vibe is inviting and warm. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic experience! Highly recommend!

Came in at around 9:30am on a weekend to beat the crowds and got comfortable seating, good service and most especially, fresh food! To try something other than my usual croissant and coffee, I decided to get their savory crepes (it is a Parisian Cafe after all lol) and so happy I did! The La Di Parma and La Classique were so good! The crepes held all the ingredients nicely and all the flavors blended so well into a nice and hearty breakfast without overfilling. Lattes were nice too but didnt have the latte art that I always enjoy for aesthetics; but otherwise nice ratio of espresso and steamed milk. The are a lot of desserts to choose from but since it was too early in the morning (or was it? haha) I just decided to be good and skip it. Overall a nice place for breakfast-Busy area but also within walking distance to cute and charming places downtown.

The culinary highlight of our trip to Portsmouth so far. We went to brunch on Easter Sunday and the restaurant was busy but still pretty calm. Both my fiancée and I ordered from the savory waffle section of the menu and both LOVED our food. There was a perfect mix of salty, savory, and sweet. We left full but not stuffed, perfect for fueling a walk around the city for the rest of the morning. We will definitely come back here on future visits.
