This fine mademoiselle knows how to prepare a poached egg to perfection! We loved everything about this cozy little French cafe from the moment we entered. Fresh squeezed orange juice, hot tea, honey, breakfast sandwich and the Salmon Eggs Benedict were all delicious! We are visiting Newport but if I lived here I would become a regular! Merci beaucoup!

We went here as a group of four friends and had a fantastic breakfast experience! They even have a ramp and wide enough entry area for our wheelchair, which was very nice. We had their French omelette with cheese and it was so smooth and flavorful we just loved it! We also had their French toast and oh man it was good! The service is fast and very friendly even though they were very busy on a Sunday morning. We will definitely return for future meals here!

Absolute gem you'll be glad you found. Small dining space, so there will likely be a wait. The waitstaff are lovely and everything on the menu is great. Most recent visit (June 2025) we tried the crepes- incredible! I think we've now had it all... You can also simply get pasteries to go. Previous post- The cook was grumpy on this latest visit- but the wait staff was running and making it happen!! The food was delicious- prices have gone up since our last visit, but that's typical most places. We tried the bananas with cream and hazelnuts- fun treat! Croissants are divine.

Loved this café!! We both ordered eggs Benedict (his with honey baked ham, mine with bacon and artichoke heart). The breakfast came with seasonal fruit, but we ate it too quickly to add a picture 😅 The English muffins were made from scratch, all fresh ingredients. They are family owned, and everyone there was working hard, and the cook/chef took pride and care in making all of the food! They serve brunch until 12pm, then there is a new lunch menu given out. They listed that they will start serving dinners as well in March. We loved the experience and will definitely be back to try the lunch and dinner menus!

We arrived here earlier than expected for breakfast at about 10 min before opening. It was a lovely morning so we just waited on the front porch and were the first in line at opening. On a positive note, the atmosphere here is good with plenty of character and charm with a small town, old converted home vibe. The server took our order straight away and we had high hopes for a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positive aspects of our experience here. After waiting 50 minutes, our breakfast order was finally served. We had ordered the Paris omelette and the salmon Benedict. By the time the food was served, it was all cold at room temp and looked like it had just been sitting back in the kitchen for most of the 50 min we waited for it. As you can imagine, the food was awful. The omelette was not only cold but it had been overcooked. The in-house made English muffins with the salmon Benedict were stale, dry and overly thick and dense. The mediocre coffee, exceptionally bad service, and awful food cost us $75. Yuck.

This bakery and restaurant is the absolute best! Made the trip down from Lincoln City and it was well worth it! Everything is made with love and smells delicious! I tried the Croissants, turn overs and eclairs. I’ll be back again this week for more! Best bakery in the area! Love supporting great local spots like this!

Google
Top notch in every way. I got the chambord crepes and squeezed oranges. The wife got the breakfast sandwich. Of course it's tight, but it's part of the charm. I will certainly be leaving with a box of fresh pastries! Go here! Shoot, even the ladder chairs are charming!

I now know why eggs benedict is such a thing… best ever! Coffee is strong and they serve fresh squeezed juice. The chef was super friendly and outgoing. What a gem of a place!

Yelp
Continues to be amazing ! The owner just has the best attitude , so welcoming and kind . Croissant was very flaky ! The jam is always a nice treat . We got a loaf of bread to bring home .. it looks like its going to be very good . Thank you again la maison !

Yelp
What a lovely place with lovely service and amazingly delicious food! The ambience is very tiny and cute. It's a little rough around the edges and could use a little cleanup on the decor in the bathroom. But really that's a sidenote compared to how good the food is. We will definitely be back and I definitely recommend the eggs sardou!

Yelp
Very nice. Food was excellent! Had the peasant omelette with freshly made croissant . Jam and butter was fresh and irresistible. Really good. Atmosphere is nice. I did feel cramped in a corner with a tiny table and it had a view of the street. The waitress was pleasant.

Yelp
I'm a pastry fanatic and when I saw the photos from this little cafe, I knew we had to try it. It's very tiny, like a very small little house with very few tables, so keep that in mind if you visit. They also have a pretty small menu, but a beautiful little pastry case. Our first time here we sat down for some breakfast/brunch. Each meal comes with a little appetizer bowl of fruit, which is a lovely touch. I went with the Paris omelette, which was filled with brie and wrapped in prosciutto, and it was a great decision! The omelette was perfect and the savoriness of the brie and salty prosciutto worked perfectly together. I also appreciated their homemade croissant on the side. It didn't look like much at first, but it was flaky and delicious. My daughter went with the bananas foster french toast and she was thrilled when they arrived. It was stacked high and piled with toppings. My husband went with crepes which were also delicious. It seems like you can't go wrong here. We enjoyed it so much that we called in an order the next day before we left town. We each got a breakfast sandwich, which were bigger than expected and served on a house made english muffin. I also couldn't resist a pastry, so I grabbed a banana eclair on my way out. The pastry was a little sweet, but soooo good. While it's a little on the pricey side, it is most definitely worth a visit, even if it's just for pastries or a slice of cake. Everything is homemade from good ingredients and lovely people. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Cute, converted cottage a block off Highway 101. Opens at 9 a.m. and fills up quickly. You seat yourself. About 8 tables. Took a while to get service with the opening rush. Just about left. Small but really nice-looking selection pastries, brownies, cinnamon rolls and breads in the bakery display. Pleasant service. Got the egg sandwich with sausage, appeared to be a house made muffin that really made the sandwich but a bit over-toasted. The omelette was not very cheesy. It came with a side of fresh fruit. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Huge delicious cinnamon roll, but no icing. Also got the eggs benedict sardou. English muffin held up well to the dish. Thick cut bacon with artichoke bottom as the "cap" on top. Poached eggs slightly overcooked. Hollandaise was delicious. Wish they were a little more generous with it, didn't last through the end of the dish.

Yelp
Delectable French-Inspired Breakfast with Great Service @ La Maison Bakery & Cafe in Newport, OR. !! What a meal! This one-of-a-kind Cafe blew our minds and we will make it a point to dine here again when we're in town. We also appreciate that they serve breakfast until 12 noon on Saturdays. The restaurant itself does not have what you may think of as curb appeal, instead it looks more countryside chic with a natural wildflower aesthetic and a small dining area with limited seating, split in two. The service was pleasant throughout our meal. We particularly enjoyed chatting with the Chef before we departed, letting her know how amazing our breakfast was, savoring her flavorful masterpieces!

Yelp
The food was amazing! The owner was personable and made the experience even more enjoyable. Go as early as you can because they are very popular and can sell out of dishes. This can be disappointing but it also means nice fresh food.

Yelp
The building is a cute old house with a convenient gravel parking lot. There is a nice ramp for ADA entrance. The service was good. The furniture/decor is very old vintage style. Our tablecloth had a hole in it. The food just ok but overpriced for what it was. The omelette was open-faced with cream sauce and toppings. There was way too much sauce and cheese for my taste. The croissant was baked fresh and jam was tasty. However, this croissant recipe is heavier than the traditional French style. The crepes had the heavy cream sauce once again. All I remember tasting was sauce, which I didn't really like. The coffee was bitter. Glad I went to check it out, but I won't return.

Yelp
I'm new to Newport. Trying local restaurants. This is a gem for good food and fresh baked bread. I have visited 3x in 2 weeks. Breakfast Eggs Benedict is superb. House baked English muffins. Made to order hollandaise sauce. Excellent. Friday HH specials are a very good deal for HH snack and cocktail. I've met the owner, Kate, who is fun and friendly, hard working sole proprietor. This will be my go to place in Newport.

Yelp
Looking for good and interesting cuisine on the OR coast is hard but we were delightfully surprised to find this cute brunch spot. The coffee was amazing and the food was even better! Make sure to stop here when you're in town :)

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch! The French name caught my attention! The food was superb! We started with the tomatoe soup which was excellent and I had the Mediterranean sandwich and my husband had a big breakfast sandwich with Gruyère cheese and ham and homemade jam. He finished his lunch with some homemade lemon coconut cake. I would highly recommend this place for brunch!

Yelp
Cozy spot with 9 square tables, which 8 of them can squeeze in 2-4 people each, then one only fits for 2 right in front of the restroom door on on side and the main cook on the other. We called ahead to make sure they open since the hours are limited for breakfast on most day with last sitting at 1:30pm and closes at 2pm. Yelp listed they open for dinner only on Friday and Saturday also limited hours. I would strongly recommend call ahead to confirm they open and hours before heading over. When we arrived at 1pm, there were only 2 tables with patrons: one with 4 next to the drink shelf to the left of the front counter, one with 2 on the middle table to the right, both of these tables could seat 4 people max but tight. Our party had 3 and a service dog for panic attacks for my daughter. The staff asked for paper and we didn't have it with us, then he went on and asked what services does the dog serves. He went on at sat us 3 at the table right in front of the restroom that only designed to fit for 2. My husband had to pull a chair and literally sat on the hall/wall space for a few people walked back and forth to use the restroom. I understood the need to had us sat separately to a side since we had pet with us but really disappointed that there were 6 other open tables which were not in front of the restroom hallway and door. A lot of things on the menu were either not available or sold out. There were no soup at all, or soup of the day, or the Grandma Chicken soup. Most pastries and bake goods were also gone. I hope this was a sign that business was good and items were sold out because they were delicious, not because the menu was ambitious and they don't cook or make full menu everyday. We ordered Eggs Sardou for me, Dijon Chicken for my husband, Breakfast Sandwich for my daughter, a lemon curd with toasted coconut flakes cupcake since there were only 2 of these left and a tray of velvet available, and a croissant. Our total was $69.50. Eggs Sardou: the hollandaise sauce was too sweet for my taste, the poached eggs were nicely done and the artichoke bottoms were a nice touch with a hint of pickled flavor. Thick and quality bacon to balanced the overly sweet hollandaise sauce that I didn't much care for or touch. I scraped most of the sauce off the best I could. Dijon Chicken: came with an okay tossed green salad, there was not much flavor on the chicken. Breakfast sandwich: very typical and average, not much to comment on. All our order came with house baked muffins and bread. There were dried and a bit crispy on the outside, but too much dough and lack flaky texture, included the croissant. The cupcake was dry and forgettable. The Eggs Bardou and Breakfast Sandwich both came with a tiny fruit dish with few cube cut of cantaloupe and honey dew. The staff was attentive and checked on us a few times. It was nice to have this option while visited the area and a break from fish and chip. However I would not make a drive Or special trip for it. P.Y. (Post Yelp:) Provides toilet seat covers and clean! There is free and big public parking next to the right and EV charging station!

Yelp
This looks like a promising place to eat, but unfortunately the disappointment was very real. The ladies in there were super sweet and you could tell they tried hard, when i asked for no cheese on my sandwich and it came out with cheese they were quick to take it back and remake it. Though the inside of the restaurant was very French and cute, and the food came out looking very aesthetically pleasing, the grease that dripped out from the egg on my breakfast sandwich was not. My boyfriend's Benedict looked amazing and he said it tasted pretty good, just expect a thick slab of ham on there if you order that one. All in all, the experience wasn't terrible, the mimosa was great, and we are filled.

Yelp
The food was amazing. We had breakfast and it was very filling. You could order just a half order of eggs Benedict and be full! Service was quick and employees were very nice. Cute little cottage with small dining area.

Yelp
Just had breakfast at La Maison. The service was great. Ambience is fine. Croissant was light and airy. The Provence omelette was so heavy with salty cubes of ham, that I couldn't taste the gruyere or roasted red peppers. An omelette, or any French meal, should have flavors in harmony, creating a symphony on the tastebuds. This was simply a dominant flavor of salty ham. If La Maison was a cheap diner, o might expect this level of cuisine. But from a French restaurant, and for the price, I'm disappointed. But kudos to the wonderful server, Janette. I'm sure if I'd chosen another item, I would have had a better experience and will try again.

Yelp
Super quaint and cute spot in Newport. A few small tables in a little green cottage. Staffs were all very friendly. Unsurprisingly, they're busy on a weekend morning but the wait wasn't too bad especially when there's a Saturday Farmers' market nearby. Menu is small but offering good variety; quality over quantity. French-inspired. We tried the Chambord which was three freshly made crepe filled with ham, artichoke, and cheese sauce. Super rich and creamy. The Paris Omlette was also delectable! Fluffy eggs wrapped with proscuitto and inside was full of gooey melted brie. Again, very rich but soso delicious. The saltiness of the proscuitto tied the dish together. This was also served with a choice of homemade English muffin or baked crossiant. Can't go wrong with either. English muffin was nicely toasted and the crossiant was adequately flaky. Both were great with their fresh jam and butter. All plates seemed to come with a little dish of fresh fruit. Besides their plates, they also have a selection of pastries. A great spot for a peaceful brunch in general. Highly recommend!

Yelp
La Maison Cafe is one of my favorite breakfast places in Oregon. Care is put into all of their food and beverages. Ingredients are high quality and the food is interesting and delicious. It's housed in a cozy building with lots of windows and the staff are attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Decadent pastries! It will take a week for my blood-sugar to recover. Tiny little place on a back street but well worth seeking out. I wouldn't have even known about the place had it not been for Yelp so thanks fellow Yelpers! No one speaks French that I noticed and not much that's there is anything like I've seen in France. I lived in Paris for quite a while and traveled the country often so I'm rather familiar with French cuisine. Every now and then you find a bakery and look in the window at cases and cases of the most mouth-watering fare you've ever seen. It was like that here. Everything looked soooooo good! I took it easy but I was happy with my choices. No beignets though :(

Yelp
La Maison Cafe is a super cute little French Cafe in Newport that gave such a surprise. While this was a busy weekend, I did not mind waiting, especially for how small of a space this restaurant occupies. It wasn't long before we were seated though. I had the Chambord Crêpes, which consisted of thin slices of ham, artichokes, gruyere cheese, and the most insanely delectable artichoke sauce. Each bite was like an explosion of flavor, like as if I were transported to another time and place a la that one scene in Ratatouille. The mixture of the ham and artichoke was superb and oh so creamy. I only wish I had more! On our way out, of course we got tempted and succumbed to purchasing some pastries to-go. I cannot properly recall which types of pastries we even got because of how quickly we devoured them. All in all, La Maison is a fantastic little spot on the coast that I most definitely will be making my way back to next time I'm in the area.

Kristin W.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast spots in Newport! Everything is made fresh and so delicious. My favorite is the peasant omelette. I thought olives might be weird but they're so good. The French toast is delectable too, and I appreciate since I don't eat meat they give the option of a scrambled egg on the side instead if you ask. Coffee is strong and the OJ is super fresh. We always stop here when we're in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Breakfast here was delicious! The restaurant is very small but they seemed to seat everyone really quickly. There is easy and convenient parking to the right and the front door is accessible by stairs or a ramp. You can also come by to just purchase pastries if you would prefer. The first half of our order came out fast--we ordered a coffee, the fresh squeezed orange juice (so good) & the fresh banana & cream with hazelnuts. I don't think I have ever seen this offered anywhere else--definitely a must try! Our entrees did take a bit longer, but the restaurant was consistently busy so it was to be expected (it looked like there was only 1 person cooking). The Paris omelet was pretty good and the croissant side was huge, warm, buttery and flaky. My fiancé ordered the caramelized banana french toast which was very good as well. The portion size was absolutely massive! This is definitely shareable if you do not want to tackle it on your own. Oh, and everything came with a side of melon. I think we paid around $44 for everything which wasn't too bad. We would definitely return!

Christine T.

Yelp
OMG! If you love eggs Benny, you HAVE to come here! She had me at house made English muffins!!

Rae L.

Yelp
We love La Maison and go every time we're in Newport. The service is friendly, and the food is amazing whether it's the benedict, crepes, or omelette. There can be a wait, especially on the weekend mornings but it's worth it!

Yelp
Fresh and excellent food !! This was my first time there. I had eggs Benedict. It was superb.

Yelp
Love this place. Carmel banana French toast is great, the crepes and benedicts are sublime.

Yelp
Food is very rich! Amazing cinnamon rolls! Cute little old home that's been converted into a restaurant. Service is beyond slow!!!!! Come for the food as long as you have a lot of time!
google avatar

Yelp
What a cute place in Newport! Decorated in a homie way with a little dessert case and bread/jams on the wall. The menu was great for brunch with different eggs benedict options and a great breakfast sandwich option. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs and cheese on a yummy english muffin. Everything is made fresh to order and you can see them making it on the grill. My husband had the eggs benedict (yes the eggs were perfectly runny!) and he wanted everyone to know that this place knows how to make a hollandaise sauce! Please remember that this is a small town and shops tend to open early and close early. They promptly stopped serving breakfast at 11am. People came in looking for breakfast and left without even caring to look at the lunch menu. Mistake. This place is a gem in a small beach community and needs to be considered no matter what time of day it is. If they are open and you walk inside, try it!!!
google avatar

Greg P.

Yelp
The artichoke sauce on an expertly made omelette or crepe, was uniquely delicious. The croissant was superior. The service was excellent. Nicely set in an historic home. Maybe Newport's finest restaurant.

Brenda S.

Yelp
I enjoy bringing friends to this awesome restaurant. The staff is fantastic, the food is outstanding! - A must for original great food. We loved our Eggs Benedict!! Made to perfection, best hollandaise ever. Thanks to all Brenda
google avatar

Devyn T.

Yelp
It's a nice little historic cafe, I Got eggs Benedict and three caramelized banana French toast. It was very good. There was only one cook working and it was pretty busy. But he made sure to ask how his food was. Very tentative.
google avatar

Davyd L.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and love this place. I look forward to eating here everytime I'm close. My visit on Sunday changed all that. We ordered a full hollandaise split combo, a pastry and 2 iced teas. We LOVE, LOVE the breakfast sandwiches, and get them normally. The english muffins are normally amazing. These were literally hard as rocks, the hollandaise didn't taste like hollandaise. It had no flavor. We got up disappointed. Went to pay our bill, it should been 22 for the combo 6.50 for the pastry and even though they weren't posted we gifured the iced tea was 2-3 since the hand squeezed orange juice was $7. Our total came to 43.50, and it didn't make sense that would make our iced teas 6.50 each. I asked a question about our total and got stared at. I asked again if the breakfast was 24 and the pastry 6.50 was the rest so much. Again stared at. Frustrated, we left. I even tipped out of habit. We were very, very disappointed with our whole experience.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Amazing French style breakfast. Generous portion with great homemade English Muffins!
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
I've never quite sure if the price should play a part in the rating if the food is really good and the service is excellent. In addition, it's a small place so it's not like they can do a large volume to help subsidize running a business. We ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was huge. The soup that comes with it is called a bowl but it's really the size of a cup. $19 plus tax and tip for a sandwich. Seems like a high price to me but you d get a lot of food. The service was amazing, they bring bread to the table and it is fresh and warm and delicious. There also is a noisy machine to keep the beverages cool that is a bit disturbing if you're trying to enjoy a conversation.
google avatar

Jina B.

Yelp
Do yourself a huge favor and head straight for La Maison for breakfast or brunch. I don't even like French toast but the one here was to die for. We also got the salmons eggs Benny and it was delicious. I wish I lived closer because I would eat here every weekend.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
Cute little spot for breakfast. We got there about 10 min before they opened and were the first people there. Within minutes, there was a long line to get it. The service was quick and very friendly, with the servers checking in on us often. We ordered the Eggs Sardou, crepes, and the real star of the show...the banana French toast. It's a must try - no need for butter or syrup. The sauce, made from bananas, cream, and brown sugar is heavenly. They have live music Sunday mornings which was also a nice touch.

Riley B.

Yelp
Everything I've had here is delicious. I would recommend coming right when they open if you want a specific pastry. My mom and I came last week and had breakfast right when they opened. After we finished eating we went to get pastries to go and they were almost out of everything. What we got was still delicious, there were just only a few options left. The breakfast sandwich was really good, and I got the chocolate pastry to go, which was amazing. My favorite thing is the maple bar, but they were out.
google avatar

Cyn W.

Yelp
From the moment you walk up to the cute little cottage, you can smell the amazing. Everything from their buttery pastries to their omelettes and crepes is created with tasty perfection. I love their breakfast sandwich. It is a fluffy omelette folded into a fresh baked croissant or English muffin with Tillamook cheddar and choice of meat it is my favorite breakfast go to. They also do a yummy lunch with a variety of sandwiches, salads and a soup of the day. Grandma Lotte's Famous Chicken Salad is scrumptious with moist chargrilled chicken, baby greens, dried fruit, nuts, goat cheese and fresh fruit and tossed with a honey balsamic dressing it makes me Mmmmm every bite.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Worth the wait to be seated! I ordered the Loire province and a raspberry croissant; absolutely delicious!
google avatar

Trinity Michelle W.

Yelp
We arrived for breakfast during seafood and wine festival weekend. We tried artichoke crepe and artichoke eggs Benedict which were both amazing. They had fresh squeezed OJ which was tasty. The hot chocolate tasted more like warm milk than hot chocolate. It was very cold in the building which made the meal less enjoyable. They had pastry case that looked amazing. We will definitely be back to try their dinner menu.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
It's Saturday morning and you are craving for a good tasty breakfast. This place right here may be small inside but the food is amazing. Right as you enter the door you are greeted swiftly by a staff member who will seat you at a table. The menu choice is limited but they do a great job at giving a variety of selection for the size. Our breakfast consisted of Eggs sardou & Swedish cured salmon benedict. Both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For our drinks we ordered coffee & fresh squeezed orange juice (seriously the best orange juice I've ever had!) This is a must try, especially if it isn't too busy considering the limited space allowed to sit inside. We will be coming back again in the future!
google avatar

Maria-Christina A.

Yelp
Best food place in newport!! Amazing fresh pastries, lunch like no other and desserts too! Every meal comes with fresh bread & butter! Recommend the 1/2 lb blue cheeseburger and the mediterranean salad. Also, the almond and raspberry pastries!!! 10:10 recommend.

Julie B.

Yelp
Great little restaurant. Wonderful friendly service and terrific food. Best croissant ever!
google avatar

Yelp
Maison serves the best brunch on the Oregon Coast - hands down. It's a charming little restaurant with glass and wood pastry displays and small tables. Every corner of the menu is delicious. Start with caramelized banana French toast. Thick slabs of bread topped with caramelized banana cream, berry compote and freshly whipped cream. So good. Do try the Benedicts - classic, sardou with artichoke bottoms or swedish cured salmon. Maybe one of their crêpes like the Versailles with grilled tomatoes, onion, ham and cheese. The breakfast sandwich is great, stuffed with thick beacon and an egg and cheese, served on a big house-baked English muffin that is perfect. There's one thing that you have to taste though, in the charming glass pastry case - a banana éclair. Sheets of puff pastry are sliced and filled with custard and fresh banana slices. It is just so very good. I get one every time we're in Newport.
google avatar

Garrett T.

Yelp
Seems like a great place but they are pretty unpredictable with their hours. Came for lunch at 1:45 pm but was told they were closing early. Was told they opened for dinner from 5 to 830. Came at 720 and was told they were closing early! Not sure I'll try a third time.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
I'd give more than 5 stars if that was an option. This place is amazing!!! She has the best pastries on the Oregon coast and she makes them all fresh herself. The customer service is just as amazing as the food. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It is truly great to find this level of customer service now days. This is definitely a little hidden gem. If you're reading reviews to try and decide where to go eat, stop now and head to La Maison! You won't be disappointed and you definitely will leave full and happy!!! This place is AMAZING!!!!

Yelp
Five years ago my family and I came to Newport and found La Maison. The food was cooked fresh in house. All the baked items baked fresh that morning. The food was amazingly delicious. The Eggs Benedict were amazing. We felt we were back in France eating at a small local bakery. Today it is still the same. Some might say that changing it up needs to happen within the dining experience, but not in this case. La Maison is hands down the best place in the coast to come for breakfast. We recently came back to the coast after being away for a bit and the food was as good if not better than when we had it five years ago. The food. The coffee. The service. All of it was great. Stay away from McDonald's, Starbucks and all the other garbage producers. La Maison is where you want to eat. I highly recommend this place to all passing through.
google avatar

Liz R.

Yelp
Great local place for breakfast. Their options were limited but they had some amazing baking goods. For breakfast I had the Swedish cured salmon Benedict's. It was delicious and super filling. They also provided a side dish of fruit, which consisted of cantaloupe and honeydew, as you waited. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Yelp
I love La Maison so much! A family recommended to visit this place. At first glance you honestly wouldn't even realize it's a restaurant. It's literally a small house converted into a tiny eatery! To start off I ordered a small serving of clam chowder. It was very fresh, you could tell it was just made and not just reheated over night. Next, my husband and I shared the Monte Cristo that's pictured. Interesting dish! I'd never tried one before, never really had the opportunity to try real French food, and I fell in love. The egg battered bread was delicious and grilled to perfection! I love combining the taste of salty ham with sweet seasonal jelly served with the dish. Absolutely outstanding dish! My only complaint was that the restaurant will charge you for an extra plate, so beware. I have a rather small stomach and my husband doesn't like stuffing himself either, so to save food (and money, of course) we frequently opt to share dishes. I will never understand why some eateries practice this, and it truly does bother me, hence the 4 star rating. Nonetheless I will probably return here because the food was so good. And I got away with just using the serving dish my clam chowder was served on.
