La Maisonnée

I went to La Maisonnée today for my permanent resident application. I applied through Maude Tremblay-Vaughan. Her behavior and communication were very, very nice. She helped me in many ways. I thank her very much.

I was with Mr Malek today He was calm and very helpful Thank you for your service

Every good i got the canadien passport from the old french women. She was very nice my son and me too

I was attended to in a way that left me with no doubt that this individual understood the job very well and she also handled her job with professionalism, which shows in the way she interacted with her clients. I was very satisfied with the way she processed my request.

The rudest person on the front desk. I don’t know his name but he wear glasses. The meanest person I have ever seen. I asked him I am starting my second session of my french class can you please check my class since I had received no confirmation from school, He replied we can’t send confirmation to everyone we have 200 students Then I asked okay but can you check my class I should start at 6pm he told okay then Wait till 6pm I will let you know at 6pm. p.s I am here since 4:45pm waiting for him I don’t know If I have class today or no.

The story goes like this: A Colombian couple who had just arrived in Montreal, without a good knowledge of French, went to the Maisonnée in search of help for immigrants and we had an excellent reception. They gave us support and guidance for francisation and I had the opportunity to start the program to find employment. I had the chance to meet Aleida Salmeron who was my advisor, with excellent professional ethics and human warmth she accompanied me during the process of finding employment. She gave me tips and information to keep in mind, on how and where to look for employment, she sent me invitations to events to get to know the work environment better, improve my networking skills, and some excellent days of preparation with interview simulations, resulted in finding a job in a company in the same field in which I have worked all my life in less than 3 months. Thank you, Aleida, and all La Maisonnée staff for your support! And to anyone reading this, who recently arrived in a new country and culture, DON´T GIVE UP!
