Cheap Cocktails in Montreal: Where to Drink Up | Eater Montreal

"For cheap drinks and karaoke in Côte-des-Neiges, there’s UdM hangout La Maisonnée, where standard cheap cocktail fare (blue lagoon, gin-tonic, amaretto sour) is priced around $5.75 to $6.75." - Heather Vandenengel

I went to La Maisonnée today for my permanent resident application. I applied through Maude Tremblay-Vaughan. Her behavior and communication were very, very nice. She helped me in many ways. I thank her very much.

I was attended to in a way that left me with no doubt that this individual understood the job very well and she also handled her job with professionalism, which shows in the way she interacted with her clients. I was very satisfied with the way she processed my request.

The story goes like this: A Colombian couple who had just arrived in Montreal, without a good knowledge of French, went to the Maisonnée in search of help for immigrants and we had an excellent reception. They gave us support and guidance for francisation and I had the opportunity to start the program to find employment. I had the chance to meet Aleida Salmeron who was my advisor, with excellent professional ethics and human warmth she accompanied me during the process of finding employment. She gave me tips and information to keep in mind, on how and where to look for employment, she sent me invitations to events to get to know the work environment better, improve my networking skills, and some excellent days of preparation with interview simulations, resulted in finding a job in a company in the same field in which I have worked all my life in less than 3 months. Thank you, Aleida, and all La Maisonnée staff for your support! And to anyone reading this, who recently arrived in a new country and culture, DON´T GIVE UP!

Staff need some education about professionalism and how to give clear and proper answers about inquiries rather

I hope someone read this to make things better in this place. I wonder Who supervises the attention to the user of this place? It would be convenient if this center made a quality control and taught the employees to respect the time of the appointment. Waiting for someone to take a call, leave the office to talk to a colleague, let others come in to ask questions, is really annoying and impolite, immigrants also have things to do on that reserved time for them. They also have to go through many things.. The employees should always remember they’re also immigrants who forgot their origins. I always hear BAD reviews about F the woman from venezuela and know I see why. Nobody says anything about mistreatment. Migrants are tied and have limited resources and are afraid to denounce. They have the fear of deportation. I’m speaking here in name of some. Finally, Could you please give French class to Hector? He speaks French to latinos with a bad latino accent and I guess he doesn’t even speak English.. we’re in Canada and English is a must. His job is to make things easier , starting by speaking the same language of the people who arrive… not a bad frenchgnol.
