La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio

We had a lovely first dinner in Qatar here. The food is amazing (I recommend the tasting “flight” of ceviches, the croquettes, the scallops and the TRES LECHES CAKE)! I enjoyed every dish we ordered and portions are just right. The staff were professional, friendly and very attentive as well. Thank you to Tun for taking such good care of us!

I had amazing service by Tun and his manger J.D. perfect setting outside. I enjoyed a few of my all time favorites at La Mar the Tiradito Criollo and the Lomo Saltado. Perfect evening.

Cosy place . Good atmosphere. I recommend for special occasions or just dinner. We had good time with friends. Carlos is amazing to serve us. Set menu from Chef is must to try

The food is delicious, and the service was great. We visited in Summer, so it was the quiet season, as we had shorts on we had to sit outside, so wear pants if you want to sit in aircon. Apart from having to sit outside in the heat the rest of the experience was enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the scallops and the ceviches.

This is a well designed restaurant. But the ceviche tuna had strong smell. The water in glass bottle had bad metallic taste. Expiry date was two years. But this date could be influenced by storage and shipping conditions. The manager tried customer recovery but we didn’t want desert anyway.

An unforgettable dining experience at La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio. We are regulars at Yakumanka in Barcelona, and once again Gastón’s world-class Peruvian cuisine exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere is stunning, with elegant décor and a vibrant, welcoming ambiance that makes the restaurant truly special. The food is simply outstanding, and the drinks—especially the Pisco Sours—were perfection. We enjoyed them so much that we ended up having more than two each! Highlights of the evening included the Cebiche Clásico, a timeless dish that never fails to impress, the Tiradito Chucuito with scallops in an exquisite sauce, and the Lomo Saltado, my personal favorite, always bursting with flavor. To make the experience even more unique, Chef Fran generously invited us—as loyal guests and fans of Gastón Acurio’s cuisine—to enjoy special treats: tender and flavorful octopus, delicate alfajores as the perfect petit fours, and refreshing fruit popsicles that crowned the evening beautifully. A heartfelt thank you to Fran and the entire team for their generosity, kindness, and professionalism—they truly made us feel at home. La Mar Doha is without doubt one of the best restaurants in the city, fully deserving of its many awards and recognitions. Highly recommended!

I don’t typically leave reviews unless I had outstanding service… but this restaurant is great. The food was amazing, drinks, service, everything. Even the hostess team! It truly makes a difference when all the employees are coming into work with positive happy energy and attitudes. Shyma (sorry if I’m spelling this wrong) a hostess was so kind, friendly and accommodating! Her energy from the moment we walked in really set the mood for the whole experience. If I was a “secret shop” (a test guest from the company to ensure quality) they would have aced it. 10/10! Great work everyone!!
