An unforgettable dining experience at La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio. We are regulars at Yakumanka in Barcelona, and once again Gastón’s world-class Peruvian cuisine exceeded every expectation.
The atmosphere is stunning, with elegant décor and a vibrant, welcoming ambiance that makes the restaurant truly special. The food is simply outstanding, and the drinks—especially the Pisco Sours—were perfection. We enjoyed them so much that we ended up having more than two each!
Highlights of the evening included the Cebiche Clásico, a timeless dish that never fails to impress, the Tiradito Chucuito with scallops in an exquisite sauce, and the Lomo Saltado, my personal favorite, always bursting with flavor. To make the experience even more unique, Chef Fran generously invited us—as loyal guests and fans of Gastón Acurio’s cuisine—to enjoy special treats: tender and flavorful octopus, delicate alfajores as the perfect petit fours, and refreshing fruit popsicles that crowned the evening beautifully.
A heartfelt thank you to Fran and the entire team for their generosity, kindness, and professionalism—they truly made us feel at home. La Mar Doha is without doubt one of the best restaurants in the city, fully deserving of its many awards and recognitions. Highly recommended!
