La Mar Doha turned our New Year’s Eve into a full-scale celebration of flavor and atmosphere. Seated by the waterfront, surrounded by blue and white balloons, the space effortlessly captured a chic Mediterranean mood. The seafood was a true showstopper, beautifully executed and indulgent, accompanied by free-flowing champagne that kept the night sparkling. The dessert, finished with a tropical orange sauce, was a perfect and memorable finale. We then carried the night upstairs to the club and welcomed 2026 in style. Elegant, joyful, and unforgettable.

You can enjoy a meal while soaking up the open, beachside atmosphere at InterContinental. As soon as we stepped inside, the host welcomed us warmly. The restaurant has a seafood theme with unique octopus and fish monuments decorating the space which makes it really fun and eye catching. Since it was hard to imagine the dishes just by reading the menu, we asked the staff and they happily explained each dish and shared their recommendations. The Arroz Meloso was loaded with seafood and the shrimp in particular were delicious. The flavor was a bit on the rich side, so it would have been just as good without the extra sauce. For dessert, the tres leches was perfectly fluffy and the sauce paired beautifully with the sponge cake. The second floor turns into a club so you can keep the night going even after dinner. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood to treat yourself and enjoy a touch of luxury.

Fantastic restaurant! Incredible top quality food - tasting ceviche set is fantastic, differentiated and super fresh. Grilled octopus dish is the most surprising and best combination ever tried - with mix of pesto mint and chimichurri - just wow. Excellent service from Saif, who has great knowledge about the dishes and provided spot-on advice. Beautifully located at the bay, pleasant atmosphere with just right volume of music. Will be coming back!

We had a lovely first dinner in Qatar here. The food is amazing (I recommend the tasting “flight” of ceviches, the croquettes, the scallops and the TRES LECHES CAKE)! I enjoyed every dish we ordered and portions are just right. The staff were professional, friendly and very attentive as well. Thank you to Tun for taking such good care of us!

La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio We visited La Mar Doha as a group of five — my husband and I, our two teenage children, and our daughter’s friend — and unfortunately the experience was a major disappointment. To be very honest, none of us enjoyed the food. Not a single person at the table found the dishes appealing. I personally ended up eating chicken, simply because it felt like the only dish that was even remotely acceptable. Everything else tasted strange and unappealing to us. Perhaps this is simply not a cuisine we connect with, but the reality is that the food did not work for anyone in our family. One of the first issues was the menu itself. It is confusing and difficult to read — partially in English and partially in Spanish — and not all dishes are clearly explained in terms of ingredients. While there is an additional menu with descriptions, the overall ordering experience felt unnecessarily complicated, especially given the prices and the positioning of the restaurant. Another major issue was the outdoor seating. It was extremely cold — genuinely uncomfortable. We were given what were supposed to be blankets, but in reality they were more like thin shawls and provided almost no warmth at all. There were no proper heaters, which made dining outside in winter conditions very unpleasant. I would absolutely not recommend booking an outdoor table here during the colder months. And that brings me to the biggest problem: the price. For what we paid, this restaurant is absolutely not worth it. We spent a significant amount of money, and I genuinely regret not choosing Zuma, Park Chinois, or one of the many other outstanding restaurants in Doha. Doha offers some truly top-tier dining experiences, and compared to them, this one fell far short. La Mar Doha was a complete letdown for us. The food was weak, the flavours did not appeal to anyone at the table, the outdoor comfort was poor, and the overall experience was absolutely not justified by the price. Sadly, it is not a place we would return to or recommend.

Cosy place . Good atmosphere. I recommend for special occasions or just dinner. We had good time with friends. Carlos is amazing to serve us. Set menu from Chef is must to try

I had amazing service by Tun and his manger J.D. perfect setting outside. I enjoyed a few of my all time favorites at La Mar the Tiradito Criollo and the Lomo Saltado. Perfect evening.

The food is breathtaking. We sat outdoors and the atmosphere was amazing. Our first time here and Saif, our server, made a few recommendations and all of it was spot on.
