Dive into La Mayordomía, a vibrant DTLA spot showcasing the flavors of Oaxaca with tempting tamales, rich chocolate, and unique additions like chapulines.
"This market and eatery in DTLA's South Park is Expresión Oaxaqueña’s sister location and sells a wide selection of Oaxacan chocolate, meats, imported cheeses, baked goods, and produce. The shop’s long pastry case is enough to keep us transfixed for ten minutes, but their food is equally terrific. While both the tlayuda tortilla and bean paste are the same as the ones found at Expresión Oaxaqueña, La Mayordomía offers the option to add chapulines (a.k.a. fried grasshoppers) and minced moronga that’s crispy around the edges. photo credit: Andrea D'Agosto" - Sylvio Martins
