The 17 Best Restaurants In Santa Fe - Santa Fe - The Infatuation

"The year-round Santa Fe Farmers’ Market is a crown jewel of the city. Along with being a community gathering spot where all the produce on sale is grown in northern New Mexico, the market has superb blue corn pupusas at the La Mesa Farms stand. The masa is sort of nutty and a little sweet, while the inside of these smoky discs are packed with beans and cheese. They’re grilled right in front of you and then covered in an avalanche of crisp curtido, green chile, and sour cream. Take your order over to the picnic tables inside the market or outside where there are plenty of benches. Yes, you’ll have to plan accordingly since the market is only open until 1pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays. But a crisp morning spent securing these pupusas and picking up some sunchokes or Chimayo chile powder is an essential, romantic Santa Fe experience." - nina katz

This is well worth going to. La Mesa is nice anyway but this little weekly event is a bit of a secret. Great food vendors. Nice people walking around with their dogs, eating and having a good time. Definitely worth checking out at least once.

I really enjoyed this farmer's market. It is organized very well. They even have some shading over walk areas. I'll definitely be back.

Love love cruising this farmers market as a family. So many vendors! My daughter is an aspiring junior chef and she loves to check out all the produce, food offerings and chat with the friendly vendors. Plenty to see and enjoy. Great place

Love the merchants and the vast array of food products available here. I attend every Friday with my Grandson and we have a nice late lunch and walk about...

Such a cool market! Way bigger than I was expecting. The two downsides are there is only one portable potty, and parking isn’t the best, but parking isn’t the market’s fault. Every vendor is extremely friendly and prices for produce are great. Really yummy eggs from the meat guy (I’m sorry I forgot his booth name).

Yelp
I've been coming to this mid sized farmers market off and on for a number of years now. It's on a stretch of La Mesa Blvd blocked off between Palm and 4th street every Friday afternoon going into early evening. If you enter from the Palm avenue side you will encounter a coffee vendor and a number of dessert/sweets vendors. If you keep going on towards 4th street you'll see a number of farmer's booths - most of them I think I've seen at other farmer's markets other than Yasukochi - which I've only seen here. Also there's sort of a "food court" type arrangement of food vendors along 3rd street - some I've seen before at other farmers markets like the Bao Buns vendor. There are benches alongside La Mesa Blvd so you can grab one that's free to enjoy whatever meal you bought. The good thing is if none of the vendors is selling the type of food you are in the mood for there are a number of restaurants/bars in the area - that's also where the bathrooms are. I usually don't park here so can't speak for the parking situation since I take the trolley and the station is just a short walk away.

Yelp
What an unexpected treat it was to stumble upon the market on a Friday evening. The vendors were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We bought several items including produce which was delicious. The whole vibe was very chill and welcoming.

Yelp
This a great Friday evening Farmers Market. It has certainly grown over the past years. It started as one block on La Mesa Blvd., and now it has grown to several blocks. When it first started, they did not have food vendors just artisans and produce vendors, but now they have a steady line of food vendors, including Seven Seas Roasting Company's Coffee Truck on the southern end of the market. That being said, on the north side of the market you will fine amazing nitro ice cream and churros from Potion 7 Creamery. The market includes a good number of organic produce stalls, plant stalls, and live music as well. It's a great market, with a number of small businesses along the street. Street parking is available and a pay parking lot on the west side. According to the city of La Mesa, "The La Mesa Farmers' Market is held every Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on La Mesa Blvd. between Palm Ave. and 4th St." (City of La Mesa, 2023)
