"We’re not sure what we like more at La Mezcaleria, the Mexican food or the long list of different types of mezcal and cocktails. It’s lively, but not so loud that you have to yell or use exaggerated hand gestures to communicate with other people, so it’s a great place to start a night out or for when you’re celebrating something. The Commercial Drive location usually has a wait on the weekend nights, so making a booking is a good idea. It’s our favorite location, but they also have one in Gastown, which tends to attract a younger, louder crowd. Whichever you go to, just don’t leave Vancouver without trying their queso fundido with chorizo that you’ll want to drink with a straw when no one’s looking." - Shelley Mason

For a long time I’ve being trying to search a an amazing sea food restaurant. Found it in mezcaleria. The waitress went above and beyond and ask the Chef to cook us the sea food grilled dinner plate during lunch time and got it. What an amazing feeling to get that service. You HAVE to try the octopus!

We (group of 4) went on a Saturday around 7:45 pm. We had made a reservation, which had been lost due to a miscommunication. The hostess was very polite and apologetic for the mishap. She accommodated us once she had figured out what had happened. The place itself has a really nice energy with a great ambiance. A trendy, yet unpretentious feel. The food was incredible, the cocktails were phenomenal and the staff were amazing - friendly and helpful with excellent recommendations. I would definitely recommend

Ok place . Appetizer Portions are small, music and atmosphere not very authentic. Food is ok but small portions and prices are higher. I understand rents and overhead costs are high but at least provide better portions. Service is ok but run by mostly non-professional young adults. I really don't get what this place is trying to achieve and offer. 2/5 in my books.

We went there on a Sunday night and it wasn’t busy when we get there and got seated quickly. We ordered some tacos and chips and salsa. The food is tasty but the portions are quite small. I ate 4 tacos and I wasn’t nearly satisfied, neither was my wife. They had live music performance and it was pretty good. The place itself is nicely decorated. We might go back for happy hours deals.

A bit of a wait. But it was very good, had their speciest option and I'm not the best with spice but it wasn't super spicy. That being said. Super nice staff, great ambiance. We had a good time

SUMMARY: Great, authentic Mexican food with chill vibes and great service. ENVIRONMENT: It's very close to East Hastings so not the best neighbourhood. But once inside, we were greeted with smooth instrumental hip-hop (J-dilla's "doughnuts" album) for a relaxed vibe. They have really nice lighting and I like the brick walls and hanging plants, offering a hip feel. SERVICE: Top notch, our waitress was great! No complaints. MENU / FOOD: They were out of a number of their Mezcals and orange juice, so our selection was a bit limited and I couldn't get a Mimosa. That aside, the spiked piña avocado smoothie was really unique and delicious. The tortillas are legit corn tortillas too 🌽. I had the migas vegetarianas which I thoroughly enjoyed, and you can't miss their house chipotle salsa.

Sat at the bar. Great service, friendly staff, open kitchen concept. A place to share a drink and light snack.

I had the tuna taco and the vanilla sponge cake dessert (I can’t remember the Spanish names 😅). They were both soo good. The decor is very beautiful in here and the staff are friendly.
