Went with the kids after our original place was closed. Quiet when we arrived but not surprising for a wet Monday night in October. Great welcome, friendly service and the kids really enjoyed their food. Even enjoyed a complimentary freshly made frittata. No room for dessert at the end and we boxed up the remnants of the pizza. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

We celebrated my fiancé’s birthday here and had an amazing experience! The staff went above and beyond to make the night special, and the food was absolutely delicious—authentic Italian flavors and generous portions. The atmosphere was cozy and festive, perfect for a celebration. Highly recommend for both casual dinners and special occasions!

After wanting to try it for a long time, we finally went to this restaurant, which has two locations in Chelsea. The place is warm and welcoming, with beautiful decor. At the entrance, a lady was preparing fresh products. After a few minutes of waiting, we were seated. We started with a complimentary bruschetta. We opted for appetizer menus, a glass of Prosecco, and a main pasta dish. The appetizers exceeded our expectations, tasty dishes, well-balanced with authentic Italian flavor, typical of Roman cuisine. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the pasta dishes. The pasta was too salty, we didn’t like the type of pasta used, and the carbonara definitely needs improvement. The egg was too runny and overpowering. The other pasta dish was okay but also too salty, they should have served the cheese on the side rather than on top, and maybe in smaller quantities.

We were early dinner, table-for-two, walk-in customers on our first visit to the restaurant. We were greeted by two of the mammas, who were busy prepping food, and they swiftly entrusted us into the care of Abdel who looked after us for the rest of the evening. Both the food and the service were excellent. The blend of professionalism and good humour were impressive: staff were attentive without being intrusive. The food was fantastic! The mixed antipasti just kept coming, we wondered how we'd have room for our pasta! We especially enjoyed the cod and cheese combo in a light batter: it shouldn't have worked, but it really did. The mains were tasty and authentic. Excellent value too. We highly recommend you visit this restaurant.

Dessert • Pistachio tiramisu – creamy, nutty, and indulgent. Friendly staff, hearty dishes, and an authentic feel – it’s a must if you want homestyle Italian with variety.

I had a wonderful experience at La mia mamma. The food was absolutely delicious, truly authentic Italian cuisine, and everything felt made with care and love. What really made the difference, though, was the warm atmosphere. I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. Mamma Ida is incredibly kind and welcoming — her warmth makes you feel right at home. A beautiful place, great food, and a heartfelt experience. Highly recommended.

A little gem hidden off the high street. This place boasts dishes with really deep flavours despite using just a few ingredients. A real Italian ethos on show. Oregano in their seafood pasta and pistachio pesto in their pork-cheek pasta elevated tastebuds to new heights. Despite the fantastic food it was Maria, our server, who was the star of the show. She was warm, funny, personable and instantly made you feel you were dining at home with family. Menu has some unique twists, interior and atmosphere was relaxed and homely and everything moved at a good pace. Prices were reasonable and I honestly have no complaints at all. Will definitely return for more!
