Updated Review Love this location. It has a lot more that others don't have. Very clean, friendly customer service. Today I try the tacos dorados. They looked very good! They are well prepared, with lettuce, fresh cheese, green sauce, advocate, red tomatoe & sour cream. But didn't taste as good. They weren't bad, they just weren't great. They are $8 for an order of 4 tacos dorados. That's super expensive for me. I do gotta say that they have got drinks now!!! They have hot chocolate (abuelita) & café de olla. The hot chocolate was amazing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love this location! Big enough, bathrooms, clean, outside sitting. They sell cheesecake slices, not every location does that!!!

Service was good. Only thing is the elotes was room temperature. Would have been better if it was a little warmer.

La michoacana never fails me! This location is great too. The kind lady behind the counter was super helpful and professional. All the ice creams were good and the kids loved it. I myself got the "salchipulpos" which are fries with hot dogs topped with mustard, ketchup, nacho cheese and Valentina hot sauce. The wife got the "chicharron con cueritos" and said it was ready good as well. My favorite was the "GANZITO" ice cream. I will be coming back for more. Highly recommend you visit here.

Service was helpful and friendly, the yogurt my wife said was one of the best yogurts she’s ever had ❣️ she’s gotten them at a ton of different places. So excellent food! The place is welcoming and in a good area to be with family.

Fast and friendly service on a Saturday afternoon. I had a mangoneada de tamarindo and my daughter had a mangoneada de mango. Both very tasty. The place is VERY clean and offers indoor and outdoor seating. A bit pricey, but it's good quality ice cream/paletas.

The seating area outside is nice. You can never go wrong with La Michoacána. They also have funnel cake 😋. The need to make a legible menu online the font is small and blurry.

I really loved how clean everything was. The service wasn't as friendly as I would have liked and there aren't any menus so you know pricing and up options.

I love that I can get good elote and paletas close to home. The staff is very friendly and they have a huge variety to choose from!

Dropped by for a late night dessert and loved it! The workers were super sweet and attentive. It was really busy when we came in but they took their time with us. I love the yogurt con fruta and agua fresca (I was clearly on a strawberry kick) my boyfriend got a blueberry cheesecake ice cream which was super sweet but still very good. Can't wait to come back.

This place is complete garbage. The staff seem like "mensos" not even sure how they got hired. Maybe the owner doesn't care or thinks it will sell no matter how bad the service being by the metra. I just cant believe how poorly serviced this place was at just bare minimum level on basic necessity. I wont even go into the details the poor attitudes and laziness but this place for being new wont be getting any future visit from me. Across the street is a much better place Rita's , Premo's , and Andy's little further down. If you want better

Their yogurts, elote, ice cream, etc. are all amazing and great tastes. Love coming here for snacks and treats!

Didn't allow me to get sample. Had to get whatever flavor without knowing how it tastes first. The coffee beans in the ice cream were not grounded. No taste testing.

Very impressed with the quantity and variety of options here. Beautifully designed in the inside, very spacious, bright, plenty of seating and very friendly staff. A perfect treat after visiting the children's museum.

Worst experience in a Michoacána ever, I went inside there was One lady attending a family, the lady seen me walking inside, after I got there a guy went inside and was waiting as well. Once the family finished ordering the lady went straight with the guy instead of me I was going to say something but I heard the guy only asking for one thing and figured it's going to be fast I don't mind, then someone else came to help the lady and she asked who's next by this time other people had walked in, I said I was next and the lady who was already there who had gone with the guy instead of me told the girl that the other people who had just gotten there was there before me. I looked at her and I said I got here first and even the people that was there said no it's her turn she was here before us. I placed my order but I was already feeling uncomfortable and upset because the way they were acting and the attitude I was receiving, I placed my order and I asked for some fresas con creama and I noticed the girl didn't put any toppings on them and I asked her and she said any toppings were extra charge. I have been to many many Michoacánas here in Illinois and other states and I have never been charged for toppings on fresas con creama I understand if I ask for extra toppings but there was nothing on them. The girl who was attending me asked the lady who had ignored me if she could put any topping and she told her" no they're extra she needs to pay for them" with an attitude. At this point i just wanted to tell them if they didn't wanted to attend me or take my business they could just say something I just didnt wanted to make a scene since there was a lot of people there and I had my kids with me. I told them that was all and I was ready to pay, as I was paying the lady who had ignored me since the begging walked by the cashier and looked at me and gave me a dirty look. I was to nice at this point because I didn't say anything to them, I should've just walked out and kept my money and could've have gone to cold stone right across the street which is way better and I have never received bad service from them, even when there's a big line and they're taking so many clients at a time, they always attend me with a smile. I don't know what they're problem was and just that type of attitude and service shouldn't be allowed in a place where your constantly going to be taking clients. I regret stopping by this place so much, because they seriously ruined my evening just because their nasty attitude. The owner should do better interviews and check who he hires for the business since they're basically the face of the business. I'm not coming to this place and spend my money here ever again.

Really enjoy coming here to try different flavors of paletas. They have so many to choose from! I also enjoy their agua frescas. I haven't tried anything else besides that, but will be back to try some other items they offer.

Granted we only ever buy paletas, so we're easy peasy customers. But the service was quick and very kind! The rice paleta was delicious.

Ordered a large yogurt at this place that costs $10 and asked for 2 bowls so me and my kids can share without exchanging germs (kids are sick). Was told one bowl costs 99 cents and if u use a credit card it costs 4% additional. WTH. The one by my house is not like this, never again coming here!

Containers are smaller than other stores. Won't be ordering any time soon. It was ok, but definitely not worth it.

We came here last minute literally 10 minutes before they closed, I feel bad as I worked in retail before and always disliked people shopping last minute, but thankfully I knew what I wanted and was in and out. We wanted a last minute treat after the movies. The girl behind the counter didn't speak really good English, and my Spanish is super rusty as I hadn't spoken any or practiced the language since college which is now 4 years ago since I graduated. I ended up getting 1 fresa con crema paleta and 1 sandia paleta. I'm glad it all worked out in the end, and next time I'll know to come in and order in Spanish. I'll just have to practice a line or two before I walk in, and even though my Spanish is rusty, I can tell she appreciated the effort. They have a huge selection, and the product is in line with the other chains. I'd recommend this location for dessert to anyone in the area -- their water based fruit popsicles are my favorite, the watermelon one tasted and looked like the actual fruit. A lot of things nowadays are artificial, so it's nice to see that this chain operates differently. The storefront on 95th street where you assume is the entrance is actually not because the Metra train tracks are there, and there's no door for you to really enter that way. You just have to turn into Museum Drive a dead end street, and that's where you'll find the actual entrance and ample parking. The parking lot is a shared space between all of the other businesses there, and we double parked by the door as it was almost 10 pm on a Tuesday night and was in and out -- several cars in front of us did the same.

They charged me $11 for a medium sized yogurt that had no fruit in it. I asked to just give me the yogurt since they didn't have any strawberries or bananas. But on the website a medium yogurt is 6.99. They legit charged me $4 extra for no reason. I don't recommend this place.

This is my first time visiting this chain, and there for dont have another location to compare it to. However: Restaurant was clean & brightly lit Menu is posted on the wall, tables, and in pamphlets You are able to sample flavors before purchase I tried cucumber ice cream ( recommended by another customer) and it was actually really good With 3 employees and about 7-8 customers wait time dragged a bit, but nothing too ridiculous IMO Employees where polite and friendly. (No over the greeting but they will acknowledge you waiting, and greet you once they begin taking your order) Only complaint is that with the elotes in a cup, you do not get the whole ear of corn. They cut it, but leave some corn on the cutting board. (Not sure if this is due to cup size, or who they serve the medium size) Corn in a cup didnt really taste like anything, not my preferred place to purchase. All in a pretty good experience, and the kids tried to visit again, but the line too long .

Lots of cool, interesting snack options here including ice cream and sorbet flavors you will not find at other ice cream shops. I had a cucumber and a guava sorbet. The frozen guava seeds were hard to chew, but the taste was good, and the cucumber was very refreshing. My wife had two scoops of ice cream: Fruity Pebbles and mint Oreo. They were both tasty. I will be back to try more flavors!

Order through Uber eats and never got the order!!! And Uber eats refused a refund! Order again the SAME ITEMS and this time received them totally wrong , never followed the instructions!!! Called the store& the employee had the nerve to tell me "well that's your problem , be specific " I said "specific??? When the notes are there for you to read" and she said well can't do anything about it .!!! Never again!!

They let people cut the line and when i stated that i was there first, they took the customer that cut the line order first. I guess they would be ok with people cutting them in line. They seen me walk in there and they greeted me and everything so im not sure why they thought it was ok to take his order first. The employee even said "ok" after i said he cut the line and they didn't care. When they took my order they were super rude about it and they both had an attitude. Wow.

We walked in and waited for about 12 minutes during that time none of the workers greeted us, didn't even acknowledge that we entered the store. It's like we were invisible. Very poor customer service so we left and will not return!

So I sent my 1/2 Mexican 1/2 polish family to get ice cream from here. I'm %100 Mexican and been treated fairly here even left them good tips. But I heard they mistreated my 2 yr old baby that dropped her ice cream. They denied her a second scoop even though my wife told them she would pay for a second one. This is not ok. And should not be rude to customers.

The snacks and desserts here are excellent but the wait time during popular hours tends to be long. On the plus side, the long wait does give you more time to decide what you want since the places offers so many items to choose from. They have so many interesting ice cream flavors: cucumber, pinenut, guava, etc. The fruits used in their ice creams, paletas, and mangoneadas taste fresh. Their cream tastes like real cream and not a bunch of chemicals. The concept of La Michoacana is unique in the suburbs because there aren't many places that have a menu full of snacks and desserts.

One lady that worked with me was so patient and helped me make a huge worker for my coworkers and I! The sweetest soul and she did just an amazing job. The food was on point and very delicious and the place was so clean. I will definitely come again after my work every now and then!

This place really deserves 5 stars, but the wait time and setup is terrible. Too few employees, with one always dedicated to doing online orders can push the wait time out to 15-20 minutes for customers who are in the store. I do not think customers who physically drove and are standing inline inside your establishment should have to take a backseat to online orders. The sorbet here is absolutely excellent with their waffle cones! The prices are very reasonable, and they also offer a reward program where you can get free items.

I had told the guy specifically today not to put a lot of mayonnaise on my elote but he did it anyways I would not recommend getting the elotes here at all everything else here is good but when it comes to elotes I don't recommend

It's Okay. Just Okay. I was really excited to when I saw this location opening up since I live and work in Oak Lawn. But their service is just OKay. I've gone twice recently for Piña Colada yogurt and the 1st time I asked for it it was spoiled. Yep. Not good. The 2nd time they said they no longer have it. So I settled for what they did offer. Their corn is Okay to me..not the best, their customer service lacks. No greetings no structure of the place either. Seems like they are always under staffed. Always a wait of over 15min...always. The prices are steep too. Way over priced. I like the convenience of it but It would not be my 1st pick. I think I'll stick to Burbank location from now on.

The food is amazing, but man the workers are so rude. Every-time you ask for something they give you a stank face even if you are kind. It ain't right tbh

Delicious ice cream and the milkshakes are incredible. Friendly service is the cherry on top. We will be back.

Terrible service due to a very rude employee. I ordered a mangonada, juice, and corn- I asked for a #8 juice and she gave me a #7; I kindly pointed this out to her and she became frustrated saying that she was giving me what I had ordered- I looked at the menu and read her the ingredients of the #8 which was not what I had been given; she didn't say anything and went to remake it; the second time she made the juice she didn't add an ingredient, when I mentioned this to her she became angry again saying that it didn't come with the ingredient I mentioned ("¡señora, no viene con pepino!"). I once again referenced back to the menu on the screen as it was the second ingredient on the description to which she walked away without saying a word and aggressively poured half of the drink out to add the missing ingredient (Meanwhile my Poor mangonada was still on her counter melting). The employee seemed visibly angry when she finished with the juice and told someone at the register to make our corns and walked away. At the register, the person I was with mentioned the rude behavior of the employee, to which they told us it was because they were "stressed." I'm not sure why they were stressed if there was only 3 people behind me and 4 employees working; but even If she was stressed it doesn't excuse rude behavior.

The service was incredible. The workers offered to try new flavor samples and they were delicious. I ultimately ended up buy a liter of their arroz con leche and it was phenomenal! Definitely coming back to this one.

Sign said they close at 11:00pm but they were closed when I arrived at 10:35pm? Even the neon "open" light was still on. All doors were locked and the lady was inside standing around

We love this place, staff are really helpful, and the ice cream flavors are good. I prefer ones made from milk, and they have several really tasty ones. They also do little packs of doggie treats, my dog loves the peanut butter ones.

Everything that I have ordered here has been great. Few ice cream flavors, fruit waters, paletas and shakes. My only complaint is the long wait most of the time.

The first thing that greets you is the rat poison that's immediately next to the entrance. Overpriced, terrible location for parking and getting out and in the place. Fruit drinks are not fresh, and popsicles are not the same as the same store located in Burbank. If you want to compare, go to the Michoacana in Burbank on State Road. They'll even tell you that the quality by the one at the Metra Station is not equal to their other sister stores in Chicago and suburbs.

I just love this place , me and my family had a good time , the corn is heaven , the chia lime juice ohhhhh can't describe, the service staff are very patience and friendly

Best ice cream in town! They have smoothies too. Great place to bring the kids for dessert, or after visiting the children's museum next door! You have to try their fresh juices - and don't forget the Mexican Street corn too. I recommend the mangoneada - mouth watering mango ice cream with chunks of mangos. Always a favorite. If you prefer an ice cream bar, they have plenty to choose from. And if you want a scoop, they have those too!

It's pricey and they're tight with the ingredients I would suggest going to other ones nearby. It's hard for me to give bad reviews but after this trip I was very disappointed.

My favorite spot when I'm craving elote and mangonadas! They also sell the mix for micheladas :)

Best ice cream I have ever had. So many flavors are included! My personal favorite is chocolate abuelita, this is awesome!!. The only thing that was not liked was the long wait. This is because it is a very popular place. I have come to this place many times and will continue to. Love this place!!

I love their yogurt. Only disappointing factor is they don't have the almond (nuez) flavor like the other locations do.

The popsicles are great! The customer service is terrible. The girls are not knowledge of anything. They should have labels on the coolers since they dont know which popsicle is which.

I came in tonight with my family to meet up with our friends,our friends walked in at the same time as we did and they were promptly greeted and taken care of.No one acknowledged us, as we patiently waited for a little more than 5 minutes my kids began to grow impatient.There is no line in front of us it wasn't busy.I had to speak up to get one of the three employees attention, as she very rudely informed us that she was very busy doing online orders which is fine but what about the other employees which didn't seem to be doing anything important at the moment. The rude girl which seems to be the one in charge then told someone to help us, which to be honest if we weren't there to meet our friends we would have walked out....Really disappointed at the service & attitude. We have been going to this location since last summer but I'm afraid that tonight was the last time. Service and attitude go a long way and they fell dreadfully short tonight.

This is probably the worst experience I have had here. Came in on Friday to order a bubble tea. It took 15 minutes to make there were 3 girls and two of them left to make my bubble tea in the back. They all had nasty faces no one said hi to me or greeted me no one had a smile. The girl who helped me seemed new which I'm guessing she was, the customer service is horrible and so was the bubble tea. Plus the corn was cold and burnt.

The staff are very friendly people who care about their customers as well as their community! Met with the owner in attempts to partner LA Fitness, and found out he was a member and was more than happy to partner with us. Thank you and We appreciate your willingness to grow your business with us!

My chocolate covered banana was rotten inside. Elote is alright. Haven't tried anything else but looked good

Just discovered this place makes fresh pressed juice to order! I've been getting one every morning before the train. Why spend $6 at Starbucks when you get a better energy boost from the juice?!

I love La Michoacánas this one has the best elite I've had hands down. Very clean and cute inside I love the layout, The guy working was helpful I just wish they labeled the paletas but very good none the less, getting there is no problem don't be discouraged it's right around the corner

Love this place, their staff is still learning, the wait was pretty bad on the last visit. The girls were apologetic. The only thing that was frustrating was watching the younger male employees shuffle back and forth pretending to be restocking the front.
