Google
The staff was courteous and attentive, the only thing for me was that my wife and I both ordered the chilaquiles and her plate had a noticeable amount more eggs than mine. The food tasted great. We'll be back for more. 👍🏼

Google
I really enjoyed this spot. The atmosphere was perfect. I loved how attentive our waitress was. The food was out fast and tasted so delicious. The chilaquiles were also amazing. My bean soup was good but I did feel the ground turkey lacked slight flavor. My salad was so scrumptious and refreshing. I will be back to try some more menu items!

Google
This place is amazing, all the workers are nice and service is fairly fast too. Food is great and the cocktails are stronggg. One thing I hope they change is that they stop serving cold water with ice when it’s 50 degrees out and also giving a ice water to my 8yr old brother. It doesn’t make sense you know. And they could save water too if they ask if people want water because I see people around me not drink their water because they either don’t want ice cold water when it’s cold out or they just get other drinks.

Google
Yes, the ambiance is amazing, and the staff was nice. Their pancake of the day is really good, but the rest of the food we ordered is not bad. It's just not that memorable tbh. There's just something missing in the food (maybe it's just what we ordered). The lavender matcha latte is ok, too. But please check them out and experience them for yourself.

Google
The coffee here is great. The pastries are great. The prices are a little high, but I'm happy to pay for quality products and spend money locally. But the gals who work here are the epitome of the "gen Z stare". The gals making drinks don't greet customers. They look at you and continue on without acknowledgement. The gals working the register always look like a deer in headlights, or they are like robot aliens who have never interacted with humans before. It's so incredibly awkward. I pay and add a tip, and I can't even get a thank you? What happened to basic decency? I have been here several times over the last couple of years with this experience. The bad taste of their utter lack of service is starting to overpower the good taste of their offerings. I hate feeling yucky after paying over $14 for one coffee and one pastry.... in this economy, it's just not worth it anymore.

Google
Salem was wonderful. The food was great. Everything was wonderful. Set next to water fountain and was peaceful even with the crowd highly recommend this place. Definitely a come back too. Would give a 7 star if I could. Great job everyone.

Google
The food was amazing, the staff were kind and the art was adorable. Highly recommend

Google
Absolutely loved the food! We got a chorizo breakfast burrito, Chilaquiles, and a queso based appetizer. Amazing coffee too! Service was solid, but our drinks were forgotten so we had to ask again. No biggie!

Yelp
Came to La Mo for brunch since the SO and I were running errands in Turlock for the day and I wanted to try somewhere new. I'm really glad we did because I enjoyed our meal. For a Saturday, we waited about 40 minutes for a table. They will text your phone when a table is ready. Their space is an indoor/outdoor courtyard area that I thought was super cute. Except for the flies that were bothersome during our meal. We ordered: Maple pecan latte - this had a nice autumn flavor, but I wished it wasn't so light/had more coffee flavor. Breakfast burrito with machaca - SO loved this and really enjoyed the flavor of the machaca. Also the burrito was hefty, the SO could only finish half. Chicken and waffles - this is only served on Saturdays I believe. Great texture to the cornmeal waffles and the chicken had a good crunchy exterior. I stole the SO's salsa to dip the chicken in. Service was fine - nothing too crazy. The black coffee we ordered had the same taste and consistency of the coffee leftover at the bottom of the carafe after a boring All-Hands meeting... it was definitely strong! Also I wasn't sure on the refill policy on the coffee since the one mug of it cost almost $5. Our total came to about $60, which in this economy is AIGHT I guess. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other food options.

Yelp
First time in Turlock, had to try out the most popular brunch spot in town. I get why it's busy, but I wouldn't go again unless it was off peak time. Got there at 11am, had to wait about 1.5 hours for a table, even then waited about 30 mins for food. The shrimp quesadilla was good, but felt like an appetizer size. Also, they were out of their pumpkin pancakes (which was the reason we came) The coffee was fantastic though. Food: 4 Service: 3 Ambiance: 3.5 Marcels foodie score: 3.5

Yelp
This is a pretty cool breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Check this out, in the winter time they have outdoor heaters and blankets to keep you cozy. That was a restaurant 1st for me. The food is good. I recommend the French toast and do not care for the breakfast tacos. The service is fine. The coffee was really good. You should check it out.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried this place for breakfast. Ordered the fr n h toast with fresh fruit. Some of the best French toast I have ever had. The service was amazing. They kept coming by asking if we needed more coffee or anything else. We sat outside in the center area. So relaxing and peaceful. The place filled up quickly though.

Yelp
Very good food, cute vibes, great service, nice outdoor patio, adorable cups that were for sale and for a reasonable price! bought 2 of them

Yelp
The ambiance is amazing, but the food is lacking. Came here because of several raving recommendations, they really hyped the spot up so I was excited for the most delicious brunch. The place is PACKED, which is a great sign, we waited maybe 30 minutes or so for a table. There's a ton of seating, multiple seating areas both inside and outside, with the inside areas having wide open doors so it's pretty much like outside minus open air overhead. The crowd is a nice mix of all ages... screaming kids included. The menu is small and it wasn't hard to make a decision- in hindsight we should have looked at the menu first before deciding to eat here. I got the Latin Benedict, fiancee got the chilaquiles and they had the same flavor because they were both over saturated in the same sauce. The regular coffee was pretty standard, the El Chapo coffee was a better choice, but someone's gotta do the driving! I think the experience would have been better if we had gotten some of the pretty and colorful alcoholic drinks, cause all those that had them were having a great time. Glad we tried it, but likely won't be coming here again when there's some much better breakfast choices on the same street.

Yelp
The location is probably the best thing about the restaurant. Wonderful outdoor seating on an enclosed patio and open alcoves. Would be a great place for brunch and mimosas. The service is also very good and attentive. Plenty of staff and nothing feels rushed, but I never had to wait for service or the check. The food was a bit disappointing to me, especially for the price. My country potatoes were great, but the chilaquilles I ordered were just warmed chips with sauce in top. The sauce was good, with grilled onions and cilantro on top, but that isn't chilaquilles. The best part of my meal was my coffee. A beautifully made cinnamon and bourbon cappuccino called El Chapo. Would order this again, but the food just wasn't worth it.

Yelp
This place is so good! I wish I lived closer because they do have limited hours. It's a great place for brunch. The food was perfect and I love that they have Mexican options as well. The restaurant has beautiful indoor and outdoor seating.

Bianca G.

Yelp
The atmosphere was great and food was absolutely amazing!! Staff was also very friendly and attentive

Yelp
Amazing food. Great ambiance. Service was a little overwhelmed but overall friendly. Amazing brunch. Want to take my family back.

Yelp
We have been going to La Mo for years. My wife meets her friends there often. The place is solid for the atmosphere. Very serene setting and the owner takes pride in the restaurant. Clean and comfortable. Turlock needs more places like this. A little pricey but that's our life here in California. The food is usually on point and consistent. I had the Chili Rellenos today and they were good but I like my cheese melted. Beans, tortillas and rice were great. My wife had the shrimp enchiladas and loved them. She usually gets the iced tea but said that their tea is weak so she passed. My coffee was strong but good. Love the coffee cups. Our server, Benny, was fantastic. Gave good advice when we were debating what to get. Kept the coffee and water full. We will continue to go to La Mo and recommend it to friends and family.

Yelp
This spot came highly recommend by the girl friend as one of the best brunches in Turlock for one thing, and it's the wedding chicken. Anthony Bourdain once said that if there's something on the menu with cream sauce, get it. I saw that quote a couple weeks ago, and realized it's a rule I've been living by for my whole life. Cream sauce is always the way to go, and the wedding chicken lived up to the hype. Creamy, spicy, flavorful, the sauce makes the dish. It came with chicken, fresh tortillas, rice and beans, and I found it to be really filling. We stared with the queso fundido, and I wasn't blown away by it, and would probs not order again, and just stick with the wedding chicken. The margaritas were tasty and was a refreshing beverage to battle the Central Valley heat. It was busy around 12pm but we were able to get a table in 30 minutes. There was a farmers market outside which made the time fly by. Overall, I'd come here again, just for that wedding chicken. Next time I look forward to trying it as a burrito.

Yelp
They've moved into the whole bottom floor. Dining areas inside and outside. Food is fine. I went for day-after new year breakfast. I had tostadas, delicious. Latte, beautiful. They came out a little late, which was fine. The place is poppin'.

Melinda L.

Yelp
OMG!!! Went there and had the seasonal salad, it had pumpkin cranberries, walnuts, it was so good. My daughter had it with the salmon and the salmon was so juicy. It was so good. I can't get over it still I wanna go back for another one. I definitely recommend this place and a salad. The service was great and we sat out on the patio and it was so nice that day.
google avatar

Phillip R.

Yelp
I had the carne asada and eggs. Great seasoning, and the music was great. I the el chapo, bourbon in coffee!! Service was fast and efficient.

Joy B.

Yelp
Very quaint garden style Mexican-American vibe. Gourmet coffees, mimosas and sangria are amazing. The food is anything but traditional but is alway delicious and hot. I would highly recommend it. Service is excellent, and the owners are always friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Such a cute place. I had seen this place before but the wait had been too long for the short time we had in this town. Today we made it in lol they sat us down right away seems they expanded since last year. The food was great and my drink even better! Absolutely willing to make the drive to come back here!

Debbie S.

Yelp
I held a rehearsal dinner at LaMo. The food was excellent and all the staff, especially Brityn was so wonderful to work with. The ambiance was wonderful and the event turned out great. I would highly recommended LaMo for an event or even just to eat there. The food is excellent.

Leslie E.

Yelp
Love this place!!!! The food is excellent ... The customer service is happy I want to work attitude.....

Jamie H.

Yelp
Another great experience. We were seated right when we arrived, which was unexpected for a Saturday! All the food was fantastic, though mine was not quite as hot as I would have liked. Great flavors and such a lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to go back again soon!

G B.

Yelp
Great food had the enchiladas beans and rice tasted amazing real fresh ingredients lovely outside dining area very quaint with coffee and pastries in same complex service tad slow but very busy definitely worth the wait and drive

Rebecca

Yelp
The service was great but the food was flavorless Got garden scramble with more flavor in the potato then on the eggs and they were a bit burned Potato's needed to be cooked a bit more thoroughly Honestly smelled the burned egg and tasted a bit of both and lost my appetite Chilaquiles lack flavor both red and green had the coloring but not actual taste Queso fundido was okay but the only thing we actually finished I felt out of everything tried I wanted the black beans from the queso fundido more than anything else
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
Small wait without a reservation. The cafe is on the street entrance of the plaza and the restaurant is inside the plaza. Food was good but not the best Mexican, the spicy Benedict was their best dish imo
google avatar

Citadel R.

Yelp
The service took a while, after ordering soup it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The Pozole tasted watered down and the pork was well over cooked. Over all very unseasoned for the price. The staff were very nice though.

Yelp
Loved this place! First timer and i wasn't disappointed! Everyone was so friendly and i got my food and coffee very fast. The ambiance is great too. Im excited to go back!

Roro D.

Yelp
I usually really enjoy coming to this place but this is the second time I've had bad experience. The first time, the service wasn't so great, customer service sucked. Decided to go there again today. Put our name on the wait list and the girl in the front putting us on waitlist had a lot of attitude and she seemed bothered when I was asking her questions and she would respond with lots of attitude. Try said wait list is about 15-20 mins... 30 mins later we sat down and once we were ready to order food and drinks, the waitress told us they won't take any orders for coffee or tea because the cafe is backed up... so we left without ordering. This should have been something that they discussed prior to sitting us down because we literally waisted 30 mins for nothing. Seems like customer service keeps getting worse. You could do better La Mo

Yelp
Good Food, ambiance and service Definitely one of my favorite spots. I love to to every chance I get when I'm Turlock.

Yelp
I have been coming to La Mo for over 7 years and realized I've never written a review for it. Over the years, my thoughts have changed and this is where I stand at the moment: La Mo Cafe - literally would give the Cafe (not the restaurant) a 5/5. The coffee is ALWAYS consistently good. I think from the +7 years I've been coming to the cafe, I've only had one bad drink. I do need to emphasize that they rotate their coffee routinely between roasters. Their pastries are also top notch! Super good and a great variety. The breakfast bagels are literally such an option if we don't want to go to the restaurant. Moving on the restaurant. Ambiance - 5/5 really love the outside patio! It's so nice during the warmer months where is very lively and refreshing to be outdoors. During the winter, it's not so pleasant, but they do their best with heaters. Service - 5/5 in all my years coming here, I've never had bad service. Everyone is always kind! Food - 3/5 the food selection is pretty nice. It's not a diner where there is an overwhelming amount of options, this is a bistro and they are slim on their menu. They do have seasonal/special offering which they'll have throughout the week/season. However, since going for so long, I can now state that their food quality is not where it used to be. A few years back, I would be going every week, and the food never wavered. That has changed, the food is not as consistent as a used to be, and that is why I can't give it a 5. Overall, both the Cafe and Restaurant are great options to try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Loved my lunch at La Mo last week. Met a friend for early lunch. The restuarant was busy but we were seated quickly. You can choose to sit either in or outside. Menu has many options, I decided on the french toast with fresh fruit and cream. Customer service was excellent, attenative and on it. We were seated close to the kitchen and every time they brought a plate out I was making a mental note to order that next time. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was excellent and food was delicious. Cannot wait to return and try something new!

Martin D.

Yelp
The food was good, had the breakfast burritos with chorizo. The restaurant has two indoor dining areas and an outdoor area. By the groups of young adults who were there for brunch, it appears to be the in place for a margarita and loud conversations.
google avatar

Rebekah F.

Yelp
I absolutely love the coffees I've gotten from here. My current favorite is La Lechada. However, I've had breakfast here on a few occasions and every single time my stomach ends up hurting. The most recent time was a week ago when a friend took me out for my birthday and I ordered the chilaquiles. They tasted great but once again I ended up with a stomach ache. I think I'll stick to the coffee from now on!
google avatar

Melina T.

Yelp
First timers at La Mo, and food is good, hospitality is great. It is a bit pricey. We had two coffees, two sides , 1 appetizer, and 1 stack of pancakes for $75. We would give the food 8/10. Coffee (all made there) 10/10.
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
Ratings are very high. My view it's overrated. I expected it to be great. Outdoor dining like feel since doors are big patio doors. Food ok I guess.

Araceli M.

Yelp
Good food, amazing coffee! The location is my favorite part. The outside seating area is so comforting, with the heaters and blankets. You do have to wait for your coffee longer than usual at times (we have received cold coffee a few times) So be prepared in case you're in a hurry or looking forward to having it first (as we always are) I understand they have to serve the cafe next door as well, but this has been happening lately. We have been having to get their attention several times throughout our meals (in need of more water, another drink, condiments or reminder of our coffee order) since we have been just served and they're gone. We haven't been going as often as that gets tiring and becomes difficult to enjoy our meals.

Nicky A.

Yelp
I don't get why this place is popular!?!?The food is flavorless; very blahhhh... Never again!
google avatar

Fabiola C.

Yelp
Food was ok, in my honest opinion it wasn't GREAT to the point that I would need to go back. It was flavorful and a little over priced for not being GREAT. Service was amazing though, staff is nice and attend well.
google avatar

Ashley Q.

Yelp
I would give a 5, but....I get really annoyed sitting inside a place and flies landing on my food:( I was wishing I had a tail soo don't constantly have to use my hand to get them off:( Having said that....Kris.. aka Tina is a 5 star!! Excellent service and suggestions. We came in pretty close to closing and she never made us feel rushed. She's a professional! Food is good. I personally didn't care fore the little block of cilantro rice, but to each his own. Enchiladas were good and mashed black beans. Homemade corn tortillas... who wouldn't appreciate that! I wish modesto had cute places like this. Jelly of downtown Turlock's plethora of food choices and hip relaxing atmosphere. Not one person hit me up for money to sing a few notes of Amazing Grace!!
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
When you first walk up, you see the La Mo cafe! This is not the restaurant... keep walking past the shops on the right to get to the restaurant courtyard. On a Tuesday mid morning, this place had a wait of 20+ minutes! The courtyard seating environment is so cute & saved from the sun by umbrellas. They also have large fans. They serve weekly specials for different menu items/drinks. Food is a little on the pricier side for the serving size that you get, but the food is very flavorful and SO good!! The chicken tinga compuesta was on the spicier side if you are sensitive like me!! If passing through Turlock again, would definitely go back and next time try their cocktails and this cake/bread dessert with fruit and whipped cream! Tables nearby us kept ordering and it looked delicious!
google avatar

Eve A.

Yelp
Who doesn't love la mo. The Ambiance. The Food. The people who work here. Love it here and I feel I don't come here as often as I would like.
google avatar

Jose P.

Yelp
Great place to have brunch/breakfast. I enjoy their spicy margarita and the chilaquiles.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to La Mo's this week and the food was good but the customer service was horrendous! I told the 1st waitress to not put cheese on the wedding chicken plate. She said that was fine. Another waitress brought my food and behold there was cheese all over my food! I asked the waitress kindly if I can get the plate redone with no cheese (as I had asked in the first place) and she scoffed and rolled her eyes!! Didn't know it would be such a hassle and not my fault that someone else dropped the ball on simple directions. I called La Mo to speak with a manager to address the situation and wow the manager was just as rude as the employee!! She quickly tried to take the call as if she had better things to do. The manager was very dismissive about what happened and instantly blamed it on another manager (as if giving an eye roll to a customer is okay). She didn't even acknowledge the employees inappropriate behaviors and said the employee would get a "pep talk" then barked out an "apology". I guess La Mo hires rude workers!
google avatar

Michele J.

Yelp
Honestly I have no idea where they're getting their to go plastic utensils from.... But I swear to god that's the best plastic knife I've ever used in my life. Shit cuts through wedding burritos like it's nothing. Chicken? Knifes got it handled. Blew my mind today. Anyways. If you know what's good for you, you'll go grab some wedding chicken today. Love you La Mo fam.

Yelp
Great service . We had a breakfast at this place and the food was good. The environment is very pleasant.

Yelp
Love La Mo! They always have great food and make sure to use many local ingredients. They have a beautiful atmosphere too with a great outdoor patio area and indoor seating too. Amazing speciality coffee options like La Lechada.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my best friend birthday and it was exceptional. They started the fun with had bottomless Mamosa's, while I chose to enjoy the amazing coffee from "Noble Coffee" (Ashland, Oregon). Most of us ordered the tacos and it was STOOPID GOOD. All of the corn tortillas are home-made. They surprise my friend with a birthday cake that was phenomenal. Tres-Leches cake. It was so good I'm pretty sure I ate most of it. (Chuckles) From the staff to the service to the food, everything was nothing short of an amazing birthday and experience. Thank you guys for making it unforgettable.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Pescado Encocado special was over the top fantastic! Like James Beard quality dish. The salmon was perfectly cooked, skin crispy, fish tender & perfectly seasoned and the sauce with a mild Thai curry flavor was to.die.for!! Rice was equally yummy and the jicama side salad added the right amount of crunch & freshness! So many positives at La Mo, if you haven't been in a while- GO BACK
google avatar

Robbie M.

Yelp
Their plastic utensils are UNMATCHED!! I took one of the plastic knives home and used it for my thanksgiving HAM, TURKEY, and even skinned a wild boar I shot on our annual thanksgiving Hunt!!

Yelp
The food has always been fresh and delicious. The coffees are perfect and the outdoor seating in the courtyard is simply relaxing. Great service as well.
