Where to dine in Downtown Las Vegas’ Fremont East | Eater Vegas

"A pink neon monkey marks the entrance to this downtown Mexican restaurant. Executive chefs Daniel Arias and Isidro Marquez-Castillo created a menu of regional Mexican classics and an inventive brunch menu with dishes like corn flour pancakes with strawberries and tres leche espuma, tacos with beer-battered shrimp and roasted green habanero salsa, and seared beef barbacoa served over savory baguette-style bolilo bread." - Janna Karel

I really wanted to love this “authentic” Mexican restaurant. However, it was terrible. Food wasn’t good at all. The only thing good was the cocktail. Sadly I also burned my hand on the appetizer platter that mind you I didn’t even pick up just accidentally grazed my hand on it. The staff could be better at communicating that the handle is very very hot and will actually burn your skin off. $152 before tip is insane for this non authentic Mexican restaurant. Our waitress was nice. What happened to the fresh made tortillas and the better menu options?

My daughter’s took me here for Mother’s Day. It’s a small cozy, and fun restaurant. The food was delicious! Lucy, our server was attentive, made great suggestions on the food menu and cocktails. I truly enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere. Will be definitely returning.

Tucked away on Sixth Street, just steps from the Fremont Street Experience, Mona Rosa is a true hidden gem in downtown Las Vegas. This cozy yet lively spot blends Mexican-inspired fusion cuisine with a trendy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately draws you in. The restaurant’s design is stylish and thoughtfully curated—featuring a mix of square and round wooden tables, colorful Mexican art adorning the walls, and a striking bar lined with an impressive collection of spirits in fun, uniquely shaped bottles. The interior pops with pink and purple tones, lush greenery, and an upbeat vibe, enhanced by a live DJ spinning great music during our visit. We kicked things off with the coconut margarita and watermelon margarita, both were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and creatively presented. For starters, we shared the guacamole, which had fantastic flavor, though the chips were a touch on the salty side. For our main course, we ordered the shrimp tacos and mahi mahi tacos—both were absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, the flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was spot-on. Easily a 10/10. The service was just as good as the food: friendly, prompt, and fun without being overbearing. Overall, Mona Rosa is a must-visit for brunch or a casual night out. It’s fun, charming, and conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

La Mona Rosa... The price is Not Right. My biggest issue with this place is that the cost is not relative to the dining experience. All things considered, the menus is limited, the presentation is good, the service is good, drinks are good, but the food is a bit on the over seaaoned side. Considering that I love a well seasoned meal, it's saying something. I will say this, the chips are amazing, as was the ahi tuna ceviche we ordered. I highly recommens that! We also ordered enchiladas verdes and camaronea al mojo de ajo (garlic shrimp) but as I've stated the main meals were way too over seasoned. If you have a low palette tolerance to salt or seasoning, it is not for you. The location is small but cozy. Nice rustic ranch style spot. Another detail to mention are the stainless steel cups for drinks. They keep drinks chilled without the need for ice..pretty cool. As I stated, the experience is pricey. Too much relative to the food. Expect to pay well over $100 for two people. Highlight was the ahi ceviche and the flan (so good! And musy try) La Mona Rosa...its ok.

Wow this place is beyond great! Food is absolutely amazing. Service way spot on and love the ambiance. Perfect mix of flavors and style. Presentation was perfect. I don’t give this great of a review often but this restaurant deserves it. I recommend the Mole and add a side of rice. The guacamole and cips also hit the spot!

Google
Lucky us! We just happened upon this great restaurant while searching for Mexican food on & around Fremont St. The vibe & decor was chill. The staff was nice & Kudos to the Chef & his Sous Chef! The food was excellent!👌🏾 We ordered the 1/2 Roasted Jiodori Chicken along with Chips & Salsa. We were very pleased & will make this a regular must go meal stop on our next visit to Vegas.

We paused our morning walk just to check out this one-of-a-kind building—what a gem! It was so charming that we couldn’t resist stepping inside, and honestly, I could totally see myself living there. The staff welcomed us with such warm smiles and top-notch service, which made the visit even better. The vibe was super peaceful for a Saturday morning, just perfect. I didn’t get around to trying the food, but the drinks? Oh, they were fantastic! I spent $17 on one, which felt a bit steep, but I’m not really up to speed on drink prices these days—could be typical for the area. Either way, if I find myself back in Las Vegas, I’d absolutely swing by again to try their food or grab another delicious drink!

Google
2nd stop on our lip smacking foodie tour. Best Mexican food I've had downtown! We got to try the queso, some enchiladas , chicken with peppers (great)! And some street corn. Signature margarita was also amazing.. they have half priced margaritas on Monday!.. worth stopping if your craving Mexican food downtown!

Yelp
The interior of La Mona Rosa reminds me of a Mexican-style saloon you'd see in the 1800's on a dirt road with horses and wagons outside--except it's clean and chic. The menu boasts of Mexican classics such as tacos, enchiladas, and chilaquiles, but there are some other items such as the Pinole pancake, tuna guajillo, and tamal Oaxaqueno that you don't typically see. The plating was beautiful and flavors of everything we ate were amazing. I'd call this bougie Mexican food. It was quite wonderful--service with a smile.

Yelp
You've got to try La Mona Rosa, a vibrant Mexican restaurant nestled in Las Vegas's bustling Fremont East District. Everything is beautifully custom designed from the bar, to the open kitchen, and even the bathrooms!

Yelp
We stopped here just to see the unique building during our morning walk. And end up going inside's because the building is so pretty I want to live there. The customer service is excellent the staff are very friendly. The ambiance was quiet on a Saturday morning. I didn't try the food, but they drinks are really good, price I paid $17 for one drink. I'm not sure if that is the price in that area or in general because I'm not familiar with alcohol drink prices anymore. But if I go back to Las Vegas I definitely would like to try their food or stop for drinks.

Yelp
Such a great find in "old town" Las Vegas, near Fremont street. Very cool vibe with a DJ, house music and tons of pink wearing brunchers! Tacky? Yes and in the best possible way. The decor is cool Modern Mexican and it's pretty awesome honestly. I really liked it...very fun. The servers were also great...very fun and helpful and not at all conceited/worn out. The food and drinks are terrific ! The pozole, the tacos, aguachile, and the tortillas...all knockouts. I had a mezcal frothy drink that was amazing and others had vodka/ tequila drinks that were equally great. Ya gotta try this place even if you're over Fremont street.

Yelp
The service was good. The Mexican Mule was made perfectly, but the chilaquiles verdes ( although very presentable) were soooo so bad. They tasted like someone added 10 lemons to the verde sauce. It was hard not to make that lemon face, and I happen to love lemons. The chips and salsa (more like a chipotle based chile) were the best part of the meal. I will say the decor is very beautiful. DJ was great, but the guy playing the bongos off tune was just funny. It I did come back, it would be for a drink. I would not try the food again.

Yelp
The reservation process for this place is painful. I tried to book a party of 9 for a pink brunch bachelorette party. I was unable to make a reservation online due to the party size. So I attempted to call them multiple times and even left voicemails. After the third day I called, someone finally answered and I was able to make a reservation. Two days before my reservation, my group wanted to go at 11 instead of 1. So I made the request online to move our reservation to earlier, but never received a confirmation. I tried calling during their business hours and nobody answered. So we ended up going at our confirmed time at 1pm. Upon arrival, I was the first one there and they wouldn't seat me until half my party was there. I was able to observe the decor while waiting which was super cute. There is also a paid parking lot right across the street which was $9 for 2 hours. The food was mediocre and very tiny portions. The usual huevos rancheros was just huevo ranchero because it was just one egg on one tostada. I asked to sub the beans for rice and they wouldn't allow it, they wanted to charge me extra for the rice even if I didn't want the beans. The only thing that was remarkable was their chips which had plenty of seasoning on it and the pineapple horchata. The shrimp ceviche came out undercooked. I understand that this ceviche is not flash fried or cooked over heat, but the lime juice is supposed to cook the shrimp. The shrimp came out still grey and when bitten into it was still slimy. The sauce on it was good, but I didn't want to risk food poisoning. When our bill came out we noticed that there were 2 charges for iced tea. Only one of the women in our group ordered and iced tea, and indeed it was refilled. However, the server did not tell us that it was not free refills for iced tea at the time. We ended up talking to the manager and it got taken off, but I feel like they should've disclosed that it was not free refills at the time instead of sneaking it on the bill.

Yelp
We came to La Mona Rosa after our wedding and could not be happier! The restaurant is romantic and has cool decoration. The service was impeccable. We had a party of 11 and did the $65/ea pre fixed menu per person and it was FABULOUS. Every single dish was better than the other. We loved the agua Chile, tinga tacos, the carne asada, enchiladas, and the garlic shrimp. Every person in our party left feeling stuffed and sooo happy. Would 10000% recommend this place. I hope this restaurant stays open forever so we can celebrate every anniversary here!

Yelp
If you're a chilaquiles lover like me, you need to try the ones at La Mona Rosa. They are seriously life-changing. The tortilla chips are crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the fried eggs on top are the perfect finishing touch. I'm not sure if it's the perfect combination of ingredients or what, but these chilaquiles are just chef's kiss. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that they were served in a bowl. I'm used to eating chilaquiles on a plate, so it felt a bit weird to me. Maybe it's just a personal preference, but something to consider for future diners. While they're a bit pricier than your average chilaquiles, they're definitely worth it. Plus, the decor in this place is stunning. It's the perfect spot to grab a delicious meal and snap some photos for your Instagram.

Yelp
This place was outstanding! The DJ was playing a great playlist of Mexican music, the waitress was friendly and fast, the food was amazing! The drinks spectacular!

Yelp
So glad we ventured to La Mona Rosa for brunch. It has such a cool vibe on Sundays and makes you feel like you're in the middle of Tulum. They have a live dj and someone on the drums. Service was great and we loved the recommendations she provided. Order: Mollete Barbocoa- it's like an open faced sandwich with super delicious and tender Barbocoa. Skip: Tuna Ceviche- not enough flavor/ citrus

Yelp
located near Fremont street there is ample parking across the street in a lot. The vibes here are really cute. It's pretty dark in here but there's colorful lights throughout. I thought that this place was pink themed from other videos I saw so I was a little surprised. Now: expect to spend a pretty penny here, the foods a little bit on the pricier side for a Mexican restaurant. The service was great here our servers were amazing, sweet and attentive. As far as the food my only complaint is the tortillas served with the queso fundido they looked pinkish almost and they tested bland a bit odd not what I'm used to. Everything else was quite delicious. The queso was melted beautifully and had great flavor. My enchiladas had the best sauce I've probably ever tested with the perfect level of spice.

Yelp
I recently visited La Mona Rosa for their Saturday pink brunch, and it was an experience worth sharing! The ambiance was lively and vibrant, and the DJ had an excellent selection of songs that kept the atmosphere upbeat, especially as the drinks and mimosas flowed freely - yes, they offer bottomless mimosas! I highly recommend making reservations in advance, as the place gets quite busy. The staff was accommodating, and our waitress was not only super down-to-earth but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. While most of our group raved about the food, there was one hiccup with the aguachiles - one person found it lacking in flavor. However, the rest of the menu seemed to hit the spot for everyone. Overall, La Mona Rosa is a great spot to enjoy a fun brunch with friends or family. The lively atmosphere, great music, bottomless mimosas, and attentive staff make it a memorable experience. Give it a try if you're looking for a lively brunch spot!

Yelp
Hubs had Enchiladas Suizas and I had the Nopalitos made vegan, with two spicy margaritas. We are still talking about the fantastic food, not to be outdone by the welcoming staff, Sarah the amazing bartender, and gorgeous setting. We saw they offer Happy Hour and brunch as well, we'll be back! Great Fremont St./DTLV location, walking distance from our hotel. Given what we saw on a Wednesday night, reservations seem prudent on a weekend.

Yelp
My sister had recommended this place after doing a foodie tour of downtown Las Vegas. Knowing we were taking a trip for her birthday, I made reservations our first night in Vegas. We arrived and checked in with a hostess and were seated with 5 min. The best way to describe the restaurant is urban industrial but either the contrast of artisan crafted furniture. The table, decor, the choice of utensils were all curated to give a cultural and relaxed farmhouse vibe. There were a few pops of color from the stained glass lanterns. Although the menu was small and the drink were small each entrée their specialty drinks contains try to detail. We asked our server for the most popular drink and he was more than answer, any questions I had. It seems like we arrive prior to dinner rush and I. My sister had mentioned that the venue gets more crowded after about 10 o'clock at night. The staff is very nice although I will say if you can take a while for a drink or arrive as well as appetizers. Y'all put in an order the same time it took about an hour to get our meals. In my party, we ordered all separate entrées. We ordered the octopus, shrimp, and I got the chicken enchiladas. Between the music and environment and conversation the hours to pass by quickly it didn't seem like an hour, but I will tell you I was very patient for my meal to come out. When the appetizers came out, we had chips and salsa, guacamole, and peas. All had great flavor. I will say that the portions were small compared to what the prices were in the menu. We were a party of six and had to order 3 appetizers because we were hungry. Fun atmosphere. Nice staff but slow to check on our table. I will go back for delicious cocktails and meeting up with friends or celebrate an occasion. Tips: $$$, not for families, go early, be patient.

Yelp
This place was great! I wish I would have taken photos of the delicious chips and guacamole we ordered. Some of the best salsa roja and guac I've ever had and even the chips were delicious. We ordered some drinks and they were incredibly strong! Everything here was great and I'd love to go back at night to try their dinner. The decor and ambiance were on point.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and let me tell you how much fun I had here! Sarah was our bartender and was such a delight! We didn't have any food but had several drinks. They made this surprise drink that I wish was endless! Loved the vibes and the wood decor all over, especially the plants

Yelp
It is very loud in there, so I am probably too old for this place!! Our service was just okay, not outstanding and not horrible either. I came with a large group for Taco Tuesday. They all ordered tacos and said they were good. I ordered A Day in the Puebla salad and added shrimp. Best decision I made all day! The shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The tamarind citrus dressing was amazing!!! I ordered a Watermelon Cucumber Fresca but got served a Hibiscus Orange Fresca which was pretty good. I didn't say anything to our wait staff because let's face it, it happens. We were a big group, and it was loud so I took one for the team based on the noise level in the restaurant. I enjoyed the experience.

Yelp
We arrived here on a Sunday evening at 5:57pm. There were 5 small groups in a place that could sit 25 groups. The place was beautiful with music pumping and the ambiance immaculate. When we came in, we awkwardly stood at the entrance waiting for someone. We eyeballed a few people working but they diverted our gazes. I understand it may not be your job, but do me a favor and get someone who can seat guests rather than us wondering if it is just free seating. We sat down, received the menus and were ready to order. It took about 5 minutes for us to decide and we again, awkwardly waited for a server. We waited about 5-7 minutes before we got someone's attention. Water was not offered and given until later and was lukewarm. Service aside, the food was DELICIOUS. Closely made up for the service. Chef's new what they were doing. I'd go back for the food. I just hope the service gets better.

Yelp
This is such a vibe! On my weekend get away to Vegas, I stopped by La Mona Rosa and let me say it did not disappoint! Side note, don't come here for beer, they have very basic selection BUT their cocktails are so damn good! I ordered tacos, tres leches cake and a few cocktails (not pictured as we drank them pretty darn fast) haha Parking is awful, it's Vegas haha but we got lucky and I found parking right in front and just paid for 3 hours! Pricing is Vegas pricing, but not too bad! Service was really good as well! They added to the vibe, constantly dancing to the DJ and live percussionist that filled the restaurant with this energy! I'll definitely be back! Please check this place out! Enjoy fellow yelpers

Yelp
I haven't been here for a few years and the menu is completely changed! Still a beautiful stylish atmosphere and we had a friendly and attentive server. But don't expect a traditional Mexican restaurant type menu. Instead you'll see an inventive and artistic gastronomic menu! What a pleasant surprise and exciting meal! Money well spent and absolutely delicious!

Yelp
The whole experience was magnificent. Service was excellent with Sarah taking really good care of us, checking on us occasionally but not too much. The food was so delicious. We're coming back real soon! Maybe best of all the ambiance is eye catching. You never tire of looking around.

Yelp
Ok, as everyone has said, the hosts and the severs have good service. That is where the star comes from. The bottomless mimosas, OMG, please don't sell orange juice as a bottomless mimosa. There is supposed to be more alcohol in the glass than juice. It felt as if they rinsed the glass with champagne, poured it out, and then added orange juice. When we told the server, she told us they were all prepared by the bartender. If we want the whole carafe, she can give it to us, but since we wanted to be able to change juices each time (which was an additional charge), they didn't bring the champagne to the table. They tried to tell us that they poured an entire bottle of champagne in the carafe and only a cup of concentrated juice. I call bullshit on this because normally, the juice will look almost transparent with that much alcohol in it. As a color blind person, I could tell that it was pure juice because I could see the orange color. The food, well, depends on what you get. The oysters are good and come prepared with different flavors, so don't expect to prepare them yourself, but they are very good. The Huevos Motuleños were made exactly as they should be and were very good. The only bad food was the Aguachile Negros. Aguachile is supposed to be raw, and the shrimp was cooked (poached). It had a decent flavor but just didn't taste right. The DJ was playing cumbia music and good Latin music in general, but what was that poor white guy trying to do with the bongos? He was there the whole time trying to play along but had no rhythm or flavor, no spirit, no excitement. I wish there was a cute or funny way to describe him, but... I am embarrassed to be white and speak, dance, and listen to Latin music, knowing this guy is here.

Yelp
still think about the cafe de olla from this place! The coffee was sooo good. I also had the chilaquiles, some of the best I have had. The chips taste made in house and the sauce was sufficient for them to not be dry or soggy. Great flavor! We walked in with no reservations on a Sunday and we got lucky to be seated. I would definitely reserve for big parties, I noticed quite a few big tables with people celebrating either a bachelorette or birthday. The place itself is super cute, very modern Mexican vibe. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I would love to come back next time I am in Las Vegas!
google avatar

Luke G.

Yelp
Cocktails are overpriced and way too sweet. If that's what you're going for, great . The guacamole was delicious! Imperfect amount of spice for guacamole (faint), and I loved the cheese added! The tacos are a little confusing on the menu. Nothing states that you get three with each order. The tacos are a little pricey but completely worth it. The detail on each is great, nothing is overly smothered or stacked on top of each other. Also, the spice on the tinga and the green sauce for the Baja was not tame... which I appreciate.

Yelp
Came here to grab some lunch and was surprised to roll up to a full on party! Guess we shouldn't have been - this IS Vegas after all. Considering how busy it was (prime time brunch hour on a Saturday) and the fact we didn't have a reso, the hostess was able to seat us almost immediately. We had arrived for the "Pink Brunch", where everything was in the theme's color. You got fun glasses and handheld paper fans as mementos and all the place settings were pink. The food menu was a little limited imo, but the items we all ordered were good! They also have a Pink Brunch drink menu. Expect to pay higher prices because you're in the vicinity of Fremont Street. I got the Chilaquiles with red sauce and it was tasty. We did have to wait a hot minute for our food because it was so busy. Our servers were nice and very efficient.

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy our experience for my birthday brunch at La Mona Rosa, but unfortunately, I miss the mark in several areas . To start while the presentation of the food looked amazing. It was disappointedly cold when it arrived. The glass cups at our table were a let down as well several had visible pink lipstick stains, and fingerprints, which made us question the cleanliness standards. The mimosas were another letdown. They hardly had any alcohol in them to the point where multiple guest complained took them forever to fill the pitcher filled with orange juice. With the party of 14 we anticipated a bit of a wait but over an hour for drinks and food is excessive. Our server was friendly and did her best, but it was clear. She had too many tables and couldn't provide the level of service we needed. To top it all off, the service was abysmal. My boyfriend waited over an hour for a corona, and overall, we had to wait more than an hour for drinks and food. My friends and family were all complaining and I was incredibly disappointed that I had them spend money at a place that didn't deliver. This experience was far from worth it. Also, I was charged 20% due to two of my guest , not coming in which was not stated when I booked over the phone or anything stating I would get charged on the email confirmation.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with friends and WOW it was a treat!! For food my husband and cousin got the Papas Con Chorizo and LOVED it! I got the Huevo Ranchero and LOVED it! Excellent presentation and flavor, I would absolutely order this again! The salsa, chips, and guacamole were also very tasty! Drinks were flowing! Our favorite was the Rosarita! I love the ambiance in this restaurant and LOVED the pink themed brunch. The DJ was playing great music too!! Service was fast and friendly! I highly recommend this brunch!!!

Yelp
First, I would like to say that the enchiladas were amazing! Second best sauce I have tasted in the last few years. The rest of the food was good. Drinks were good too. Overall reasonable prices. I would definitely come back! Service was good, it was slow when I went for dinner so expected to be seated and attended to timely. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. Good place.

Yelp
The ambiance was very nice and cozy. The service was extremely good and fast. I loved my server she was awesome and always checking up. I ordered enchiladas suizas and La Sopresa drink which has a mezcal in it. It was super good and tasteful. I highly recommend this place for a cute cozy dinner date.

Yelp
4 stars for the food, 3 stars for the service. FYI - We were there for Taco Tuesdays - which sounds exciting, but unfortunately means you can ONLY get tacos for dinner (besides a selection of a few appetizers). THE SERVICE The host who sat us didn't give us a cocktail menu, so when we asked our server (who had a trainee), the trainee went to the host stand and dug around a bit before finding a cocktail menu. It had 4 options on it. Later in the evening when we wanted a 2nd round, we got a cocktail menu that suddenly had 10 options, and didn't include some from the 1st menu. We asked our server, and it turns out the trainee had grabbed the OLD cocktail menu by accident (which begs the question why do they have old copies sitting around?), but luckily the bartender had still remembered how to make some of the old drinks and was willing to do so. In the end, it didn't affect our experience except we had this kind of awkward conversation with our server about why we had gotten two different cocktail menus and why the Pasion Tropical wasn't an option on the second menu. The taco menu has their a la carte prices, which are mostly $3-$3.50. But confusingly, you are NOT allowed to pay a la carte. You HAVE to get 5 tacos for $21 or 10 tacos for $39. But if you look at the individual prices, this isn't a better deal unless you only get the $4.50 and $5 tacos (there are only three tacos at this price. They told us you're not allowed to get all of the same thing. There are ELEVEN tacos priced $4 and under). We asked if it's ok for us to start with 5 tacos and then work our way up to 10, and they said it's fine. But then they still charged us for 2x5 tacos, so $42 total. I brought this up with the trainee server, she spent several minutes talking to the manager, and either she doesn't understand math and taxes or they were trying to make up an excuse, but she tried to convince me that they actually UNDER charged us, because $39 + tip comes out to be $42 and some change, but look, we were "only" charged $42 on the bill! Uhh nope, that doesn't make any sense - we were charged $42, plus tax at the bottom of our receipt. We should have been charged $39, plus tax. The trainee offered to talk to the manager again, but at this point we were going to be late for our show, so we had to go. THE COST $134.79 total for 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 10 tacos. They charged us for 2 x 5 tacos ($42) instead of the 10 taco deal ($39). THE DRINKS *Pasion Tropical ($17) - 4.5 stars. My partner really liked this. It was zesty and potent. Interesting assortment of flavors. * Pepino Picoso ($17) - 4 stars. Spicy and refreshing, though straightforward and I feel like I've had this same drink at many restaurants. THE FOOD * Esquites (appetizer, $12) - 2.5 stars. This would have been tasty but it was definitely oversalted. 4 star tacos: Placero (the crispy chicharron was great), Baja (good shrimp & crunch), Poblano (if you don't mind the untraditional mashed potato) 3.5 star tacos: Carnitas (good flavor but a little dry) 3 star tacos: Asada (a bit dry), Pancita (underwhelming with 2 small pieces of pork belly)

Yelp
La Mona Rosa is a good place to hang out around downtown. But, I wasn't impressed. The food is average and so are the drinks , we had a margarita flight but, wasn't good. I mean , for a margarita to taste bad at a Mexican restaurant? Idk... says a lot to me. So, it's cool for one time but not impressed enough for me to come back .

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and happened to be in the area and decided to get a few drinks. We were able to do a walk in no problem and sat at the bar. Our bartender was able to recommend to us some great drinks and food options. We just had brunch so we weren't too hungry but ended up sharing a pulpo and chorizo tostada. I loved the ambience of the restaurant. They had stained glass windows that gave the place a nice vibe. The lighting was nice and I would love to come back and have a full dinner experience when we have more of an appetite

Yelp
Came on a Sunday morning for brunch without RSVP, and they were able to squeeze us in without wait! They were hosting some sort of event that day, so it got really busy, and I almost felt bad they took us in, since they seemed understaffed at the bar (where they sat us). Bartenders were nice and tried their best to check in on us, but they were slinging drinks so fast for the whole restaurant, I can't really blame them for being slammed. The food itself was actually amazing! Got the papas con chorizo and chips/salsa. Chips/Salsa 10/10 - so flavorful, almost tasted like the Fritos flavor blasted twists (if you've had those). Had some kick to it that kept me drinking water, but I couldn't stop eating them! Papas con chorizo 9/10 - really good flavors, but I would have preferred the potatoes to be different style. Still great though! Inside was so cute and there was a DJ who was playing soft pop!

Yelp
Second time here and happy as before! The service is nice, the vibes are great! The place is beautiful. On this visit, we tried the Queso Fundido - full of flavor, nice and googey, and the chorizo with peppers added an extra flavor kick. Also tried the chicken Flautas great as a starter or meal. All the toppings we perfect. As my main course I tried the Carne Asada Plate with mole Amarillo and mushrooms. Wow was it good... I will say I was a bit confused with the mole and way the mushroom was served but still really delicious. The shashito peppers were also great and had a nice seasoning. Lastly we tried the Tres Leches Cake which was a little heavy and not really traditional but a good interpretation of it . Still recommend this spot! Look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Deceptive search practices led to me having to pay $25 for a reservation that I made by mistake thinking this was a different restaurant. I wanted to go to a restaurant called "Peyote," which has apparently recently closed. On my iPhone I used maps to search for Peyote. After it was found, I clicked on "website." Unbeknownst to me I was taken not to the website for Peyote but rather La Mona Rosa. Thinking I was on the Peyote site I made a reservation for later that same day. When I saw the email confirmation was from La Mona Rosa I recognized that something was amiss. I cancelled the reservation and they charged me $25! Wrote them an email requesting a refund. They refused. Not a great way to do business IMO.

Yelp
The food and drinks were delicious. The pricing felt like a typical Las Vegas meal. The pink brunch vibes were so fun and cute. Some beverage reps came around with samples. Our server took some of our food before we were done. But overall the vibes were good and we would go back. I would definitely get the beef sandwich and margarita again.

Yelp
I love the cool vibes of this place and the food and service make it special every visit. We have tried a few items in their menu and all have been up to part. Now, do not expect massive portions, this is a more refine upscale version of Mexican food, but the flavors are present in every dish. Definitely a great spot for date night or a celebratory occasion since their drink menu has been curated to meet all demands. Also, the host informed us about the super fun weekend brunch they host, so I'll be back for that. Favorite dish: the aguachiles.

Yelp
I love the Carne Asada tacos because they're tender and good! It's very cutesy inside the restaurant!

Yelp
I cannot express enough how great service is. Karla our waitress was amazing, attentive and sweet. She was on it! Thank you Karla. And the food....its been a while that I leave a restaurant fully satisfied and today I was fully satisfied. Taste was on point to all that we got. Cochinita P., Enchiladas Suizas, Tacos de Asada, Ceviche de Atún, Camarones. All was so flavorful and delicious. Thank you La Mona Rosa for a very tasty dinner. Drinks...amazing too.

Yelp
Who knew this hidden gem in artistic area was around the corner from Fremont Street experience! We have eaten here twice and love the queso foundido (spicy) and enchiladas suiza, you could share this dish between 2 people! Music and service was great! Bartenders were on point! For nighttime best time to come 7pm we had lots of room at bar and seated fairly quickly! Wound definitely come back again! DJ comes on at 11pm for dancing too!

Yelp
Loveee the vibes, food and atmosphere! We came for pink brunch (to celebrate a birthday) and had a blast. Just wish they did bottomless mimosas to really elevate the experience.

Yelp
First off, the place is super cute inside! It makes me feel like I've been transported to Tulum and I love that. I came for brunch with a friend on a Sunday around 11 am. We made a reservation beforehand in case it was busy but it ended up not being that busy anyway. For food I had the huevo ranchero. I loved it & it was the perfect amount of food for me. I definitely want to come back to try more. Anywhere with solid food, vibes & drinks is a yes for me.

Yelp
Food wasn't bad. Ambiance was ok. But the service and bill was something else. We were charged $10.00 for a small bottle of WATER - Waitress did NOT tell us the cost of bottled water !!! We were having lunch with another couple, we were asked if we wanted any water. Tap (unfiltered) free, bottle will cost. At first we passed, then my wife said she wanted some water. I had to go find the waitress, then asked for a small bottle of water. She brings it to the table, but never said a thing about what the cost would be. We get the bill, I thought there was a mistake for the cost of water, thinking it should be about $1.00 not $10.00 - but no!!! Was told that's what it is per the waitress and said its per management. Even after complaining no difference - paid bill and left. VERY UNHAPPY DO NOT GO THERE !!! :-(

Yelp
I recently came here for their pink brunch on the weekend. It is so cute! The ambience is awesome, they have a DJ, they give you pink and red shades, they have special pink drinks, and they give you some pink brunch signs that are fun to play with in videos and photos!service was amazing! The food was delicious! I had the enchiladas, my friends had the mollete Barbacao (so good!), Huevo Ranchero, and the vegetarian tacos. I definitely want to come back again!

Yelp
We saw this place reviewed on a you tube video and just had to try, I really wanted to try Pink Brunch but it's only on Saturdays. We weren't going to be there that long. The hostess was friendly and seated right away. We weren't super hungry so my hubby and I shared an appetizer which I thought was good. Before our small appetizer we had chips and salsa. They were a little too salty for my husband's tastes but the server replaced them with less seasoned chips fast. My drink was very delish with fruity goodness. Definitely a nice place to visit and going to come next time I'm in town.
