A Guide to Eating and Drinking in Beaverton, Tigard, and Hillsboro Right Now | Eater Portland

"I find this taco stand—parked by a convenience store at the busy intersection of SW Hall and Allen Blvd.—ideal for hardcore carnitas and pastor; the burritos are massive and the two-biter tacos are best ordered in rounds of four; order for takeout at 5970 SW Hall Blvd." - Jordan Curtis

Google
it’s good food got the carne asada burrito and it was really good and so was the salsa verde (green sauce) What i wasn’t a big fan of was first $12 for a burrito? i’m from portland and the food carts near me are way better and it’s only $8-$9.75 for a burrito the same size and probably just as good if not better. Second i found it very unsanitary and uncomfortable how they left the sauces outside opened for the customers to get on there own which is nice but it was open and did not have a lid. Tinfoil isn’t enough it should be complete closed and have an open spot for the ladle. there were flies and a tiny leaf i found inside of the green sauce. i still got it but they should have some lids for the sauces if they are going to keep them outside. if not just give them by request. other than that me and my friends had a good time eating together and had a yummy burrito but i would only come back if im in the area and crave mexican food.

Google
Absolutely DELICIOUS. I live in downtown Portland so I come here specifically for my lengua and tripa fix because few places have it by me and La Morenita does it the best. Their pastor, asada, and I assume everything else is amazing as well.

Google
great tacos, I'd say just as good as the side of the road in Mexico. Only issue I had was having to fill my own hot sauce Cups And they're not being really any hot sauce left It was a very messy experience But other than that delicious!!

German D.

Google
Super delicious food! The supreme burritos are big and filling. The tacos are bigger than your average street taco, plenty of meat. The salsas are all great! I also love that they’re open late.

Google
Food can be hit or miss depending on who you meet that particular day and their mood. I've had straight greasy food and great food all within weeks of each other. The avocado based sauce has diminished in quality over the years though. It use to slap but now it's what teens call mid.

Google
My wife and I visit this place very frequently. One of our favorite Mexican food trucks and their salsa is some of the best we’ve ever had! Staff is always pleasant to interact with and prepares food in a jiffy.

Nestor C.

Google
Some of the best tacos in town hands down.

Google
Been going here for 23 years. Ordered same carnitas burrito. It was half the size. They said sometimes they get smaller tortillas. Paid $11.50 plus 1:50 tip. This is what I got. Lucky was able to get a refund.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
I never do reviews, but these are by far, the Best Tacos in the Beaverton area. I've traveled over an hour when I was living elsewhere just to get these. At only 3$/taco, you can't go wrong. The selfish side of me wants to keep them to myself, but they absolutely deserve the business. 10/10 every single time

Yelp
My boyfriend is a huge fan of Mexican food. And he's a hard core carnivore. He wanted a burrito and he knows that Sizzle Pie is my go to for a slice since I can get it vegan. Anyway. I wanted pizza. He wanted a burrito. He had mentioned wanting to try this food truck so I looked it up on Yelp (obviously!) And got the address. We pulled up and there was one person ahead of him so I figured it would take a while. He got a Carne Asada Burrito. He got two different salsas a red and a green and he got a side of pickled veggies. Which were jalapenos, carrots and onions. He got his order super fast and I said that's a small burrito lol but it was just the side of pickled veggies. But when we got home he said WHOA this burrito is huge!!! He couldn't eat it all in one sitting. He ate the green sauce and said it was one of the best hot sauces he'd ever had. I licked the lid and he wasn't wrong. The flavor was so rich and there was heat but it wasn't overwhelming the flavor. Very very good. He didn't try the red sauce so I didn't get to try it. The pickled vegetables though. OM*G they are THE BEST I've ever tasted. Such good acidity and flavorful as *^%# YES this stuff was amazing. He said next time he's going to pack the box full of them lol. Frankly I'd go there JUST for those veggies and hot sauce. He said 5 stars GREAT value and great flavor. So we will absolutely be back!!! Oh and next time (sorry y'all) I'll get pictures!!!

Yelp
The line/wait is very long, which is a very good sign that they're popular. Good balance of ingredients in the burrito, lots of meat and not greasy. The lettuce tastes fresh and the sauces are tasty.

Yelp
Our go to spot for burritos and horchata in the region. And the awesome sauce selection! This Mexican food truck reigns supreme.

Yelp
I used to go here all the time as a kid years ago. Still taste amazing just like it did back then. The service was great. Everybody working was friendly. The only thing that sucked was that some weird customer was staring at me the whole time like he was trying to start a problem, but besides that amazing food great service.

Yelp
This taco truck offers truly amazing tacos and quesadillas. My favorites were the Al Pastor, Tripa, and Carne Asada tacos. The Al Pastor was packed with flavor, you can really taste the chiles and spices. The Carne Asada was equally delicious, with tender and soft meat. For the Tripa (intestine) tacos, I recommend asking for them to be a bit less cooked for the best texture. This has quickly become one of my favorite taco spots. I'll definitely be back to try more, especially the chorizo and cabeza tacos.

Duncan M.

Yelp
We visited this food truck recently and found the food and the service to be quite good. Portions are generous and prepared very quickly. This truck is definitely a place to stop don't believe you will disappointed.

Yelp
Woooooow. Delicious. All of the tacos and burrito was great. The self serve salsas were so good. They go from very hot to mild and I gotta say, the chipotle salsa was delicious with everything. Service was extremely fast and they're so nice!
google avatar

Madi F.

Yelp
The best tacos in Beaverton!! Their al pastor and asada are incredible. Kind staff, quick service. It's a go to for us when we need something quick and delicious.

Amalia S.

Yelp
Food is amazing taste just like home very authentic will definitely be coming back! Service is fast not a long wait. Definitely recommend the tacos they are not stingy with the meat.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place and it is my go to almost every week! I have tried almost every meat on the menu and it stays tender and flavorful every time. My go to order is always the pastor and asada tacos. The lengua and tripe burrito is also packed and definitely worth your money if you are starving. This place also has great sauce choices and their frescas are a must - homemade and fresh. I recommend the mango one. The only con to this place is it is a food truck so limited parking and no where to sit.

Amanda B.

Yelp
There are so many Mexican Food Places around this part of Beaverton but, this is hands down the BEST in the area! I have tried basically everything they have on the menu at this point and nothing disappoints! Their Asada is top notch and they do not skimp out on it like most places in a burrito and not to mention their sauces are out of this world and home made too. I always recommend it to friends and family and everyone always comes back to me with 5 star reviews. They are also so kind and fast!!! Overall rating is a 10/10!!! haven't found a place to top it yet and don't think I will.

Amanda S.

Yelp
I used to live close to this taco truck they have amazing food and make their own sauces you can't find anything that taste like quality food consistently and give huge servings this truck is always busy and I always stop by and pick up food when I'm close. Service is always great!
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
I'm extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food. Having spent a lot of time living in San Jose and working in LA, I've struggled to enjoy taquerias in the Portland area. However, this place won me over. I had beef head tacos and an asada burrito. The verdict is in: best in Beaverton and some of the best in the Portland area.

Flockie

Yelp
I went and ordered 5 tacos 3 de pastor and 2 de asada and only received 2 de asada and 1 de pastor. I payed full price for 5. If you come here make sure to check your order.

Yelp
My daughter & I tried this taco truck and we really liked the food & salsas. We are from California (the Bay Area specifically) & we have lived in Oregon for a year. We haven't found alot of food that tastes like home. My daughter liked the carnitas tacos & I liked the vegetarian burrito. The salsa verde was spicy & we loved it. We plan on going back again for sure. If I had to give one critique, it would be the horchata. It's not sweet enough, but that's just personal preference. Overall it's a solid food choice.
google avatar

Shane W.

Yelp
Authentic tacos, but they didn't live up to our expectations. The meats were a bit overdone and were not as juicy as we would have liked. The salsas were tasty but not very spicy. The al pastor torta was just ok. The meat flavor got a bit lost among all of the other ingredients.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried Carnitas , al pastor , Barbacoa , tinga pollo , asada $2 each , Carnitas is super tender and juicy ! Tinga pollo is weekend special, get it f available!! Sauces are packed with flavors however but very spicy ! asada taco is our least favorite . Love this taco truck !
google avatar

Natasha K.

Yelp
Fantastic tacos!!! And such a great deal at $2 each. Plenty of options for meats but my favorite is the carne asada. The meat is tender and so flavorful. There wasn't a line when we went but there was one forming as we left and I understand why. Plenty of salsas to choose from too. They also had bottles of sanitizer available next to the salsa bottles for convenience.

Luis C.

Yelp
Great tacos ! Meat was amazing and everything was fresh . My partner is pregnant and loved these tacos. Agua Frescas were flavorful as well .
google avatar

Nina L.

Yelp
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Yummmm, ugh don't get me started on how amazing these tacos are. I always order the classic al pastor, carnitas, lengua, and tripa! The tripa tacos are so delicious, they are crunchy and melt in your mouth. Don't forget to bottle some sauce. Expect a wait, but good food means there is always a line. Parking can be limited since the truck is parked on the Allen corner market. I suggest bringing a heavy coat with you, or waiting in your car if you're lucky to catch a spot!
google avatar

Leone J.

Yelp
Went during lunch time! Great burrito de asada! Horchata amazing. Fast service as well. Food was ready in less than 10minutes. Definitely will go back to try the sopes and quesadillas!
google avatar

Yelp
La morenita is a gem of a place. They have multiple food trucks in Beaverton area. I went to the Hall boulevard one and there were 3 other people in line waiting for order to be placed. Not bad ah. Heard from a guy who is regular here that sometimes it's queue is crazy during night. Either ways amazing tacos. Tried asada, alp Astor and carne. Also took a pollo Burrito and a quesadilla which were great too. Service was quick and all COVID protocols followed. Saw a post below they didn't wear mask before. But it wasn't the case. Overall recommend this place. A perfect quick togo option
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
Always busy yes but for a reason this place has fire as food and fire sauces fr you got to have it it's soooooooooooooooo good
google avatar

Jonah P.

Yelp
So darn good. Their veggie burrito is STRONG, and oh my gosh I cheat on other restaurants with their Chipotle salsa. I'll smuggle that SOB into Baja Fresh if I need to - it's beautiful. They have a new phone # so make sure to use the correct one

Chris R.

Yelp
This food trucks shares a parking lot with a convenient store. I can tell you firsthand since I live down the street from this place that parking is terrible on Friday and Saturday nights. You'll have to park at the Rent A Center right across from here just to get a spot. The food is very good and I highly recommend the Al Pastor burrito or Tacos. The Barbacoa and Lengua is also very good, the sauces are amazing and are all homemade! The chipotle salsa is my favorite. Just a fyi the Avocado Salsa depending on who made it can range from not spicy to very spicy, so always taste test it first before taking it home. It's always inconsistent but either way it's very good.

Jamie M.

Yelp
So much grease top and bottom of the burrito that my tortilla is almost transparent. 11 dollars for this? Terrible. Have been going here for over 10 years now and this is the worst it's ever been. Sadly to say never going back. Needless to say my greasy burrito has hit the garbage. Not even worthy enough for my dogs.

Yelp
This will continue to be my go to Taco Truck HANDS DOWN! their carne asada sopes are my absolute FAVORITE. They are huge as heck and hits the spot EVERY-TIME. Great pricing and value for the quantity. By friends/family tips: the Carne asada Torta is humongous and super good! Carne asada quesadilla plate big and fulfilling and their tacos. B -O - M -B!! Incredibly reasonable priced The only downside at times is the parking, this taco truck is across the street from 7-11 in a corner store parking lot with maybe even if 7 parking spots. There's times people make up their own. (Hey - whatever works)
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
It's awesome. You need it. Everything here is really good. Friendly folks, really tasty salsas and excellent food. Try to call in advance if you want it faster but it's pretty dang fast anyways. Love this truck!!
google avatar

Ana O.

Yelp
Best neighborhood taco spot! solid choice of flavor & price. The sauces are also amazing :)
google avatar

Rosa L.

Yelp
The only place I go to when I'm craving really good tacos or a burrito. I order the carne asada, chorizo, or carnitas and it's always so good. The burritos are huge, all the sauces and chilitos are amazing. Definitely one of the best taco trucks in Beaverton! It's usually busy but worth the wait, and they get orders out quick. The worst thing about this truck is the small parking lot it's in. Writing this review makes me want to go get tacos

Jae P.

Yelp
Went tonight to order a carne asada burrito and taco. The burrito had a good amount of protein and wasn't mostly full of rice like at some other places. The taco also had a good amount of meat as well. Both were very delicious so I ate them all before I could even take a picture. My order came out fast since it wasn't super busy when I was there.

Chrsna F.

Yelp
Understandable that it's cinco de mayo but the quality of the meal for an hour and 20 minute wait is by far the biggest waste of money. The meat is under seasoned, salsa watery, no spice and no flavor. Tortilla is dry as hell and portions are small. This place used to be my goto, if you think about going here, re route your map to La Real Taqueria off of pacific hwy. cheaper and way better salsa and quality of food. Sad as hell to say bye to you all but you guys are subpar now.

M J.

Yelp
Located inside a convenient store parking lot this hidden gem dishes out some of the best burritos and tacos in the area. Their homemade sauces are amazing!
google avatar

Chad P.

Yelp
I feel like I robbed them by paying $6 for a giant torta when I could only eat half of it. Excellent ingredients! Had carne asada with jalapenos and guacamole. Excellent! Very crowded on a Friday night after 10.
google avatar

Giovanni C.

Yelp
Amazing tacos, great price also. If your looking for a quick bite to eat and in the area, this is your stop.
google avatar

Shane D.

Yelp
This is our quick and very filling Mexican food cart of choice. The super burritos are just that. Super! The tacos are a great price for what you get. A lot!

Yelp
I've lived a few blocks from where this truck parks for 7 years. There's a taco truck on 3 of the 4 corners of the intersection of Allen and Hall, but this one, in front of the Allen Market is the business. I'm mostly vegetarian but my son is not. I get a cheese quesadilla with avocado plate, with rice and beans. Their rice is so flavorful, fluffy but a little sticky after it travels to my house covered in saran wrap. The beans are also full of flavor but let me tell your about their homemade sauces. It's not just the typical red or green salsa. These folks make 5 or 6 different salsas. The avocado is reasonably hot, and the red, my usual favorite is so delicious with heat that doesn't leave my lips stinging by makes my whole mouth feel it. My son usually likes green salsa but tonight they had their habenero, which is way too hot for me but he put it on his whole plate and says it can't be beat. Btw, my son loves their Carne Asada tacos, with the usual toppings. We've tried all of the other trucks in the intersection, and this is our favorite.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
I'm not even kitten around when I say this is the BEST in the area for deeeeelish taco trucks! Burritos are generously stuffed (I have had chicken, asada, and carnitas) and $6.00 each, filled with your choice of meat, chopped onion, ciltantro, rice and I think a small amount of pinto beans. The meat portion is surprisingly generous for the price. There is no cheese or tomato in or in the burrito. There is always a line. Fresh, handmade sauces are out of this world. The avocado salsa has a fine kick to it. Their tacos are $1.50 and are Mexican street tacos (small, corn tortillas with meat, onion, cilantro). If you are looking for a hard shell with lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese, you are likely looking for an Americanized taco and you won't find that here. If you order it 'for here' your plate of tacos isn't covered and if you order it to go, they wrap plastic wrap over it. Burrito is wrapped in foil and perfectly warm when we get home to stuff this mighty awesomeness in our faces. This gem is a food truck parked in a convenience store parking lot on the NE corners of Hall and Allen, and the only downside is the parking lot where this food truck is located is small and is also for customers of the convenience store. Occasionally, parking is difficult but figure it out - the food is worth it!
google avatar

Julianne B.

Yelp
My taco truck standards are pretty high as I was born and raised in LA. Got a bunch of tacos and every single one was damn good. My favorites were the tripa and cabeza. Also on the plate: carne asada, lengua, al pastor. Not pictured but my vegetarian boyfriend devoured: veggie burrito and veggie sopes. All the salsas were great and had heat. My favorite was the red one which had more of a kick than the others and I like it spicy will definitely be back for another taco haul
google avatar

Sierra M.

Yelp
Best Taco Place in Beaverton, hands down! I have tried other local Taco Trucks and Restaurants, but their Carnitas Tacos blows everyone out of the water! They definitely get busy, and continue to be busy rain or shine (which is always a good sign). Can't wait to have it again for dinner!
google avatar

Evan S.

Yelp
Awesome food truck. Went here for dinner with friends. Had their Asada, Pastor, carnitas, and pollo tacos. They were all delicious and greatly seasoned. $1.75 each is a great deal. Four tacos and a half liter coke $9 was great. Highly recommend this truck.
google avatar

Olivia G.

Yelp
Well priced, fresh food. There tends to be a wait because it's so popular/ reasonable.

Denise B.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. There's some new kid here, at least I haven't seen him before. He tried to charge me twice as much!! He tried to play it off but it was very obvious. So beware of the young guy w bleached hair.
google avatar

Hasol Y.

Yelp
This is my favorite taco truck yet! Every time I've come here the food has been really tasty and the service is fast. Expect tricky parking, especially if you come in the evening. They've also recently raised their taco prices again, but $2 each is still pretty affordable. Make sure to bring some salsa home!!
google avatar

Brent W.

Yelp
Delicious and quick. I had a steak taco and a pastor taco. They had a lot of filling and the salsa were good. These tacos were $1.50 each. Its a taco truck in the parking lot of a convienent store.
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
This little food truck is in a convenient store. ( makes parking limited however not a big deal to me.) I ordered the steak taco with beans rice. You get big portions for $5. It gets only 4 stars and not 5 because the last time I went they didnt put cheese on my beans and this time they did. ( I don't eat cheese.) so its all personal preference so I suggest telling them no queso so they know. ;) over all they are good mexican food truck.
google avatar

Cesar A.

Yelp
Came here to as I was craving some tacos. They have a good amount of meat choices, carnitas, al pastor, asada, tongue, and tripa (look that up.) I got a burrito and a taco of carnitas and of tripa the tripa taco was honestly Very good. It's a delicate dish and has to be made correctly for it to be good and it was spot on here. Carnitas were dry and lackluster to be honest but it was late so maybe it was what was left over. The burrito was of al pastor and that was ok. It was very very greasy and it kind of made me lose my appetite the meat flavor was ok though. All in all I think this place is good for tacos it's what it's known for I would come back for tacos.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
I ordered 6 Carne asada tacos and 1 chicken taco with a individual side of rice and beans. This was my first time coming here and the lady in the food truck didn't great me at all or even really say anything.... she wasn't the easiest to tell an order too or the friendliest..... The price for everything was very cheap! They let you get however much sauce you want and different varieties which I appreciated! Their green sauce and Chipotle one was good! Very tasty! My order was done fairly quickly. When I got home, I tried the Carne asada tacos and they were very good, nice and tender! Very tasty! But the chicken taco tasted horrible. Never again get that. It was like broiled flavorless meat- yuck. The rice and beans were absolutely trash. No flavor, bland, gross. Overall I wouldn't come back. I will keep looking till I find a truck that can make good tacos and good rice and beans! I would only come back here for the Carne asada tacos, that's it.
