Hi, One or two little issues, but what a lovely place to camp. We had two small tents and the allocated space was limited but as we were the only two camping 9-12 March, it was fine. One tent, mine was kind of in the walkway to the river so rafting folks had to step around it a little but no complaints. The owner had told us that it was quiet so we could camp by the river. "Self standing on concrete tents" could be even better on a cement platform overlooking the beautiful watery haven! On our second day we rafted as the only boat with 3 onboard and a single kayaker as backup. I've done Zambezi from Vic falls so this was milder but most enjoyable. Ramon who took us was fantastic and very knowledgeable with effort making English. At 36US is apparently good value compared to other nearby rafting offers. Camping with own tent is 4 dollars each per night. They have 2 to 3 permanently pitched canvas tents available. Ramon allowed us access to the kitchen where there was some bottled water. There is also a gas cooker but seek permission to use this. In summary this resort is a little rough around the edges but the most stunning natural of environments makes up for it. S. 12/3/24. Come to Honduras!!

Beautiful place to reconnect with nature and disconnect from the civilization. Many activities to do: hiking in the national parks, rafting, swimming, kayak... You can also rent one of their tents and spend the night on the site, near a nice little waterfall, surrounded by trees, and under a million stars. Two twin beds in the tent, very comfortable, and affordable. They also have a kitchen where you can cook your meals. Guides are very friendly, I highly recommend this peaceful place!!

Perfect experience from beginning to end. High energy rafting, not too difficult hike to the waterfall, and amazing guides that were knowledgeable and friendly. Certainly recommend!

i camped 5 nights with my own tent. i was the only guest but i enjoyed the silence and connected with the nature a lot. i could use the kitchen but had to negotiate a bit. there was no electricity because of a fallen tree. the communication was always very kind and respectful. the rafting was good. it was not too long and i wished a longer river rafting. maybe it depends on the water level and the season.

We had the best experience with these guys!! They were very professional and safe! They even had refreshments for us after our adventure. Emilio picked us from our hotel and spoke excellent English. He is very friendly and hospitable. So were our guides. My favorite was Ramon, he was serious about our safety yet still very personable. A bit shy at first but he warmed up fast and had fun teasing my daughter about the big a** spidered I’m Honduras. All around it was a great experience!

This place is a little gem! Run by a lovely family who are very welcoming and helpful with information. The tents are quite spacious with proper beds and the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. Some of the facilities were under some renovation but it’s fine as long as you won’t go looking for luxury in the jungle. Rafting with our guide Ramon was a lot of fun and despite the low water it was still a great experience with breathtaking views. Definitely would recommend to stay there!

Fabulous rafting tour with Moskitia! Our guide Emilio was brilliant and his and his English was perfect. The tour was a little cheaper than others I saw and included transport from La Ceiba which made it great value. We had a great 'river hike' experience first and then the rapids which were so much fun. Safety was a top priority. We also paid a little extra for Emilio and his brother to take photos on their GoPros which was great for us. Thanks La Moskitia!

We stayed in the accommodation and also did the rafting with la Moskotia. Overall it was good and definitely the only option of you want to visit pico bonito on a budget! The staff were great, Emilio replied to my many questions quickly and helpfully. The rafting was also amazing 5/5 for that, we did exactly the same route/time as another provider in the area but paid half the price, guides were knowledgeable and felt safe and there was the option for someone to take pictures/videos for us. The accommodation is where I take off a star. Obviously it’s a cheaper option than anywhere else and you pay for a tent - the tent itself has proper beds and is really comfortable - would be nice to have a light included but otherwise good. The bathroom is a little dirty and lacking doors. The kitchen was locked on more than one occasion when we wanted to use it and the fridge didn’t work. We also thought it was $8 per tent and it was actually $8 per person - strange to be more when using the same tent.
