Terrible service here I will never come back and I would not recommended this location at all go to the one in Woodbridge! I was in a crave of a banana split and I was in the area so decided to drive here and try this location out the lady appears to not have any knowledge in her job! she did not know how to make a simple banana split and I believe she made my banana split with frustration or anger! Because at the end it didn’t look like a banana split! I was pretty upset and frustrated will not come back and on top of that the way they have there lines set up is a disaster multiple people ordering on top of you rather in Woodbridge location it is not like that you order then the next person behind you and so on… this place disgustes me!!! I will never come back here again!!! I will stay with the one in Woodbridge

Google
We came today for the first time and will definitely be back. The flavor choices were great and the ice cream was so creamy and delicious. We tried 4 different flavors and everyone loved their choices. It is a small shop and there are some other snacks there as well like chips and drinks. There were things we didn’t try on the menu that looked great. There is a bathroom which is a bit narrow so it might be hard to navigate with a wheelchair. There are water fountains in the back as well.

Google
I really LOVE this place. Best ice cream shop around. Only place around me that has ice cream close the one back home. 2 double scoop icreams with a big cone , one single scoop in a cup plus tostilocos for inly $17! This would have been over $25 somewhere else. Best value and tons of flavors to choose from, lot of natural fruits. Place is always clean, definitely recommend for family friendly budget and awesome variety. Banana split is so cheap too! Toppings aren’t extra!! 🙃 los mejore helados en el area de Mannassas

Google
Tried the Banana Split, excellent taste and they didn't hold back on the quantity. Combined with the reasonable price, this is a very good place for Ice Cream. They also serve other Mexican snacks snacks/savories such as Mangonada, Tostilocos, etc. They took their time to make the dishes right and were friendly throughout, even though it was near their closing time when we walked in.

Google
Fine ice cream place. I ordered the chocolate banana thinking it was an ice cream (in the ice cream menu), but I got a frozen banana covered in chocolate with my choice of topping. Good for a chocolate covered banana, but not what I was expecting. My friend got a banana split with three flavors of ice cream. She got bubble gum (thinking it was cotton candy because it was red and blue), strawberry shortcake, and coffee. The flavors of each were exactly as advertised.

Google
Delicious SO MANY FLAVORS!! and they have elote!! Don't be scared to go if you don't speak Spanish. You will be fine.

Google
I drove 45 minutes to come to my almost everyday ice cream shop but they really disappointed me today. The drink I always purchased is “Jugo de frutas con leche” the taste is no where near the same and to top it off it was going bad the fruit was very slimy and bitter causing the drink to taste bad. I hope this gets to someone’s attention and gets addressed. I’ve never had issues with this place.

Google
The ice cream is definitely tasty and there is a wide variety of other desserts to choose from. The store also has a very nice appearance. However it is very hard and confusing to order, especially if you don't speak/understand Spanish as some of the employees seem to be unable to speak/understand English. In addition the ice cream flavors aren't labelled well, the flavors menu (which isn't on the wall, its a paper employees give to you once you walk up) is not consistent with the ice cream flavors you actually see. Labelling definitely needs to be improved in order to improve customer experience.

Yelp
Just attempt Spanish here, and they'll do their best to accommodate you. Don't let those 3 years of Spanish go to waste! The mangonadas are crazy here, but I prefer to share that with a big group as I literally only want 3 bites. I frequent here for the agua frescas: fresa (strawberry) and horchata are my favorites. I missed the melon agua fresca, so it's definitely on my list to try. I also regularly buy a few paletas (popsicles) to save for a hot day like strawberry with yogurt, strawberry milk, nance milk (this has seeds so be prepared to spit out the nance seeds), and oreo. They have ice cream that I've yet to try, but it's a fun spot to bring the family to and then maybe head over to the brewery across the street. There's not a lot of indoor space and zero outdoor tables to enjoy with the group. It's worth a trip and to try delicious desserts.

Yelp
Yummy delicious menu! Always hits the spot. Gets really busy , so be prepared to wait in line. Definitely worth it though. Come by check it out , you won't regret it!!!

Yelp
I've been by this place many times and finally stopped thanks to the Yelp reviews. It was confusing because the main menu screen was not working. The ice cream looks great and there are many toppings. We chose pistachio and strawberry/kiwi paletas. They are loaded with flavor bits.

Yelp
I am in love with this spot. When I first moved to Manassas, I had seen this spot pop up on Yelp and I Knew I had to try! I asked my boo to pick up some popsicles for me- we got one fruit and yogurt and one rum raisin. These options weren't my fav and I hadn't gone back for a second chance since last sept. I went back last week....and back today. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH. So many options, flavors- so little tummy space LOL. I've had the chocobananas covered in pecans (it's a huge frozen banana hand dipped in hot chocolate in front of you then rolled in nuts or topping of your choice while the chocolate is hardening) SO great for under $3. Like ARE U KIDDING I can't NOT get it. I've tried several popsicle flavors at this point. The flavors are authentic, fruit based, works of art. From cookies and cream with Oreos visible in the popsicle to mango and chili....you'll be back for sure. Prices are unreal for real fruit popsicles, I believe under $3 each! They also have hard ice cream with a ton of flavors native to south and Central America! This spot reminds me of what it was like in Ecuador eating fresh guanabana ice cream...really fantastic one of a kind legit authentic spot. Please continue to support and grab a ton of popsicles you won't regret it! I'm planning my next trip as we speak :)

Yelp
My husband and I were on the lookout for a good paleta spot after our summer vacation in California where we devoured multiple paletas day after dayafter hiking in the Sierras. This place checked all our boxes! Authentic, delicious flavors at an unbeatable price. The staff are very kind and helpful and the store is clean and busy with multiple patrons and cheerful music and chatter. I had the mixed fruit and yogurt paleta, and my husband had the guava one. Both were incredibly tasty and refreshing. We then picked up some more to stash in our freezer, including the pistachio one which was sublime - chock full of nuts with a chewy, creamy and salty aftertaste, and the mango chili one which was tangy and delicious. We also smacked on some elotes at the store which were grilled to perfection, smothered in cheese and tajin. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try the blueberry and cream cheese ice cream next time. I cannot recommend this place enough, please visit them often and grab a pint or two for your freezer, you won't regret it!

Yelp
So... we've been here before for the mangonada.today I tried to branch out... I ordered the raspasado mixto with a mango tajin popsicle. I literally could not drink it-- it was a salty, spicy, sour frozen flavor bomb... it tasted like a Michelada with pickled okra and Takis. The mango popsicle that they added to it was also barely sweetened. Or at least if it was the rest was so salty I couldn't taste it. My fault though bc I tried something random with a teensy language barrier my daughters mango version was decent. Still pretty salty though for a sno cone. Ice cream was decent as well. No stars off for my funky foray fwiw. Oh and for people like me whose high school Spanish does not at all explain the menu you will find.... Here are some pics.

Yelp
I came here to try a mangonada since I've never had one and it was okay. The mango was delicious but the more I ate it, the less I liked it. The bottom part of it is too intense with the chili powder and the syrup. My taste buds were over fried. Not my cup of tea. However, I also tried this vanilla ice cream from Mexico they had and it was delicious. Perfectly creamy and not overtly sweet. Good flavor and consistency. This was my cup of tea for sure. Next time, I'll try more of their ice cream versus having a mangonada.

LH P.

Yelp
The ice cream was delicious and affordable. Tasted fresh and nothing like other ice cream stores. However, the store did have a really bad odor. If you can get past that, I highly recommend ordering their yummy ice cream (and leave).

Yelp
Pretty neat little shop tucked away in a small shopping center between Centreville and Manassas. I really wanted to try the mangonada for a long time. I have seen pictures, people eating them growing up, but never really understood why people would mix pepper flakes, Tajín, Tamarind and mangos together. It was around $5-6 for this. I thought it was a pretty interesting flavor. Not the best tasting, but strangely addicting and refreshing. People commonly use hot foods to combat the heat of the summer so this kind of dessert makes sense. The store was kept super clean amidst this Covid-19 pandemic. I hope that this business will not be badly effected due to this season. The other Mexican paletas looked so good as well. They also have a selection of regular ice cream as well as fruit smoothies. My favorite is the popsicle ice cream style with strawberry, kiwi, coconut and yogurt. It doesn't make a dripping mess when you eat it, and it is somewhat healthier even with the added sugar compared to regular ice cream. I recommend this place for anyone looking for an alternative dessert option.

Yelp
I'm a fan of the location in Woodbridge and came to check this location out. I absolutely love their paletas (popsicles) and they have a huge variety of flavors. They're either cream based or water based but they're all super delicious. They also have a huge variety of ice cream flavors that you can get in a cup or cone. Got the cookies and crème, strawberry yogurt, guava, strawberry milk, and fruity pebbles paletas on this day. Will definitely be coming back to try more goodies here!

Yelp
I found this place unexpectedly as I was driving into Manassas. It was a hot day so a frozen treat was much needed. I thought they only sold paletas (popsicles), but they also had a wide range of ice cream flavors. Everything looked so good that it made it hard to pick a flavor. I ended up picking a paleta de piña which was on point! They also had agua frescas. I purchased two agua frescas (naranja con guayaba & limón con chia). Both were absolutely refreshing! The establishment was very clean and limited the amount of people in the store due to COVID-19. I had a very pleasant experience and plan to return soon. If you are driving in the area, I recommend you stop by. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Love all the different flavors of ice cream and the choco bananos options. The Doritos locos were a favorite as well

Yelp
5 minutes away from our house... dangerous! With so many flavors to explore and a sure shot for both sweet decadent and greasy savory treats, we'll surely be back. ++ Mangonada! Okay, full disclosure, this is the first time I've had this dish, but tamarind and mango are prominent in my food upbringing, so the slightly salty, tangy, sweet, and just slightly spicy fruit mix was a delight! Perfectly balanced in my opinion and I loveloveloved the spicy tamarind straw. Hell, I'd order it just for the straw. + Partner was over the moon about the esquites. Hot, and seemed like freshly cut corn and the mixins were delish but it was a tad too rich for my taste. This place is all about indulgence and this is no exception! + Water-based Popsicles have fresh, flavorful ingredients (we liked the spicy salty pineapple & cantaloupe) and pop in your mouth -- NOT watery at all. + Cream-based Popsicles are decadent! Super creamy (we liked the balance of the tangy blackberry with the richness of the cream cheese) + Ice creams are very decadent as well, stretchy with cream and sugar, and a HUGE variety of flavors. Cookie monster and this like... dried fruit rum kind of flavor were winners. + Both small and large sizes available of the mangonada and esquites + Again, DECADENCE! We got cookie monster as a shake and woof, with whipped cream on top it definitely feels like it's your birthday when this order gets handed to you. + And everything is affordably priced to boot! ~ Very patient and attentive staff, although some additional training time is to be desired -- poor girl was asking her coworker what almost every single flavor of ice cream was when we asked! - Intimidating and uninviting when you go in because there is almost nonexistent signage -- only one menu by the register and some hand-written items by the popsicle freezer. Thank goodness for the ^item above^ and that we came at a time that wasn't too crowded because we asked a TON of questions.

Yelp
Came here to try a mangonada for the first time. I've never had one but I do love the Mexican Vero mango candies. The mangonada is made in front of you. It starts with mango chili sortbet ice cream, maybe a couple scoops. Topped with chopped mangoes and seasoning. The mangoes were slightly unripened but when paired with the sorbet, the flavor was perfect! The straw candy was a bit frozen from the sorbet so I ate that later. Would absolutely get this again! Mexican corn salad was made in the back and came out warm. It stayed warm for a while too. It was good but I think I will try the cob next time. I might like it better. Banana split is huge. They don't skimp on the scoop size! They come with wafers too. Choice of toppings, including m&ms and nuts, caramel and chocolate sauces. limited seating and glad we could eat there as the ice cream would melt before we'd get home. They don't speak much English here but ordering was pretty easy. They did not have menus up but I'm sure you could ask for one.

Yelp
What a fun place to find unusual ice cream flavors. I especially like the coconut mamey - give it a try!

Yelp
Located in a little strip on 28 before you're deep into Manassas. 28 is busy so plan hour exit accordingly haha. Dessert was good. I was only in the mood for ice cream that night so I need to return for some authentic desserts. I had the strawberries cream topped with caramel and strawberries. Fairly simple but definitely delicious.

Yelp
I'm not sure why you're reading this and not going but do you. MANGONADDDDDDDAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS I like the tamarind straw they use here the best. It's textured so it doesn't crack when you chew off the tamarind. And the prickly pear paleta is so good.

John S.

Yelp
Great place for homemade ice cream and fruit popsicles. I would say the ice cream here is better than Nathan's Dairy Bar. This place is a hidden gem. Prices are very good!! Five people costed 13 dollars. I will be back to try their other desserts. Looked delicious.

Yelp
Best paletas (popsicles) in town! I love that they have a great variety of flavors, some exotic and some well known. Their ice cream is very creamy and a bit on the sweet side, which I personally do not like but some of the people I came with seemed to really enjoy it. To each their own... My favorite thing here was the corn esquite, which is basically sweet corn in a cup, with Mayo, grated hard cheese and Chile (spicy sauce). I asked for mine with no Chile since I don't enjoy spicy stuff, and then I asked them to add some lemon juice to my esquite... It turned out great! The lemon added the acidity and fresh taste that it needed, in my opinion. In conclusion, I'll definitely be back. Most desserts in northern VA are expensive, but here, we had 1 paleta, 1 ball of ice cream in a cup, and 1 small esquite for $8.

Yelp
Really convenient and fun shop. We also tried their ice cream which my son deemed "the best."

Yelp
So glad I found the place! Everything on their menu is fresh! You can also see where they have their fruit and prep area is so clean! The whole place is spotless which most food places that's hard to keep up with. Definitely will be a regular and sending people here.

Peter L.

Yelp
Good quality paletas (popsicles), ice cream, and Mexican snacks. There are many flavors you won't find at a grocery store. Signage is mostly in Spanish and the flavors aren't labeled, but the menu is bilingual.

Julia P.

Yelp
Not too much sugar and very creamy. I love the variety of flavors. Some flavors were new to me but they were all delicious.

Kenia L.

Yelp
Today was my first time at this La Neveria Michoacana. I've been to their Woodbridge location and they had delicious handmade popsicles, so I was excited when I found out they were opening another one in Manassas. This time around I wanted to try their mangonadas which I've never had before. Mangonadas are a sweet and savory Mexican dessert made with fresh cut mangos, mango sorbet, tajin, and chamoy. I really enjoyed it although I can't really compare it to anything. I could tell the mangos were fresh and it was the perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness. I will be back!
google avatar

Jasmine P.

Yelp
They have the best traditional Mexican ice cream!! Both milk based and water based. Every flavor I've tried so far I've loved. 4 starts simply because the customer service is frustrating, they move super slow..
google avatar

Belinda K.

Yelp
Came here after a hike on a hot day. We all had fruit flavors - everything was fresh and delicious. I would love to come back and try more items. Prompt and friendly service. Reminded me of getting ice cream in Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We've been looking for a Plaetas place forever and we're so happy to find this! My wife went 3 times in the first week after we found it. The Oreos popsicles have 4 whole Oreos inside, and my wife loves the Neopolitan. Frozen banana was also great - pick your own toppings after a fresh layer of chocolate. We'll definitely be back to continue exploring

Kari J.

Yelp
So good! We got lemon and tres leches ice creams and both were delicious. The first was like a sorbet, and the latter an incredibly creamy ice cream. Also got a selection of paletas. The caramel and pistachio were sooo good! I didn't like the ones with fruit pieces as much because frozen fruit chunks get too icy and hard for my liking in a popsicle. But they were so pretty I had to try a couple. Definitely going back. The store was also very clean.

Tamara H.

Yelp
This place is absolutely awesome. Super clean, great selection of homemade flavors, and friendly staff. Very inexpensive too.
