La Norteña Tamale Factory

I’ll have to say, the attendant was beyond beautiful & kind….i sampled one before I decided to make my 2 dozen purchase. I thought they tasted similar to the ones I have purchased in the past from the saucedo tamale factory. So where I wasn’t completely sold, I had already made the drive & no one else had any (that I had called) I should’ve gone with my gut instinct & just bought them at Rosa’s cafe (& theirs aren’t that great either). I was looking for those authentic tamales, like the ones you get at Garibaldys across the coliseum (they were closed) Needless to say, I need to start making my own so I’m not getting constantly disappointed with taste & quality. I’ll be calling for a refund & im hoping they are as kind as they were when I handed over my card to pay $41.60 Rhe one I sampled was okay 👌 However, the second one I got when I arrived home, well as much as I tried to smother it in the salsa & lemon (that the nice girl at the window added in my bag) They were still a bit tough, as if they’d been there a while…..I won’t knock them, I’m sure not all the food is the same. But tamales is not their forte.

Got half dozen mixed chicken and pork tamales with side of rice and beans and it was absolutely delicious!! Great customer service as well! You won’t be disappointed!

Nice aesthetic as far as the location great empanadas but the barbacoa was dry and tortillas were not freshly made for $16.64 for TWO burritos was expensive for something that was thrown out and not enjoyed! Either server fresh tortillas and decent barbacoa or not at all.

Great people and food! As soon as we walked in we were greated and asked if we wanted to try the menudo. It was full of flavored and just enough spice. We order tamales, the picadillo bowl, burritos, and beef empanadas. Everything tasted good. They have parking and drive thru for picking up orders.

So disappointed! Picadillo tasted like “can meat”. I think bcuz it’s been refrigerated and reheated too many times. Menu said made with hatch Chile ….. I think I might have seen something green, maybe that was the hatch? Never saw anything green resembling green chile. Rice was undercooked …… hard and bland. Maybe try adding onions, garlic, more tomato sauce bcuz some rice grains were white while others were red from the tomato sauce. No flavor whatsoever. So disappointed bcuz the menu description made me crave it. We ended up going to pickup burgers and will most likely trash the picadillo and rice. The beans were the bomb tho!

12$ for 6 tamales for them to look like this And taste 2 out of 10 Stripes has better tamales

Love their tamales. Our office visits every week, sometimes twice. The green tamales are our favorite, but also spicy red on Fridays. We’ve also enjoyed the asado or chile verde bowls with a tamale. Their cut-up fruit is always fresh. The macadamia and oatmeal cookies are pretty good too.

The food was effen great.very surprised since I'm from South Texas. You won't be disappointed. Prices are a lil up there though

The food was so tasted so fresh I couldn't stop eating it. I wanted to get and more 10 out of 10 best food in Odessa by far hands-down.

Tamales are thick juicy and spicy especially the red , which is what I love! I got a 12 count and two jarritos 24$ decent price in my opinion. The lady I ordered from was kind and gave me time to decide . Very neat clean restaurant I enjoyed the ambiance.

Such a great group of people. Always fresh and hot burritos and the tamales are huge!

Yummy tamales. Flavourful and Spicy. I was never a tamale person until I tried their tamales!

Was an accidental stop for lunch that turned out to be an amazing experience. Got the Asada burrito. That was amazing. My husband got it doesn't tamales. The tamales are authentic income in numerous flavors.

Great and tacos. We got some breakfast bowls that were really good. They got them out quick and we got back on the road. They have a drive thru

So the reason why I'm giving it to stars is only because it's the same food as the one in Pecos. The staff is really nice but if you go to the one in Pecos, they actually give you a larger burrito that's more thick and they give you two sauces The burritos here leak too much butter. The one in Pecos is way better than this one in Odessa but if you don't want to drive all the way out to Pecos, then you have to come here.

This place is a little out of my way,but The service was friendly and all the products that I purchased was good. The food was delicious, the candy was authentic, and the masa for my tamales is always a quality.

Amazingly friendly restaurant. A welcoming and friendly place. Extremely friend. Unlike anything we've seen in a while. A warm welcome as soon as we walked in and they made us feel at home. We were offered samples of dishes we were interested in. Everything was so good. Even better. The drinks dis not cost more than their food. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Give them your business!! PLEASE!!

Great tamales is what they are known for. I just had one of their new to menu burgers and it was the best burger I have had in a very very long time. So good!

This place is a joke. Went to the tamale factory to get tamales. Waited in a long line for 20 minutes. Get to the window and she tells me . I need to order on line and come back next Tuesday. It's Friday right now. Won't be going back to this joke. If you cannot sale tamales either close or put up sign!!!!

I had the red spicy tamales , they were delicious, the place looks clean the people greeted you kindly, the tamales were a little more than usual, but I'd rather pay a little more and get good product
