Sooo here’s the tea on la nouvelle. I when I say this place is absolutely Devine it truly is. My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our 2 year anniversary (this was a surprise btw) I was blown away. The atmosphere, the food the service was incredible. Brian our server was a 10/10 and had just great recommendations and table etiquette. Plus he loves his wife so if you’re reading this he loves talking about you which I think is super sweet! We ordered the truffle deviled eggs, mini baguettes and the Cesar salad for our apps. The eggs were amaze and covered in truffles. I will say the salad was not as dressed as I usually like but the flavor is still there and it’s a BIG portion so might want to share with someone. Our mains: he got the fillet with frites and I got a menu item they had just for the night which was a stuffed tomato masterpiece. If the chef is reading this PLEASEEE HAVE THIS WHEN I COME BACK. It was so aromatic and full of flavor. Some of the best food I’ve had like ever. I need this back and on the menu lol. And then for dessert we got this crème de pot which was like a super thick chocolate pudding but it really wasn’t a pudding, all I know the texture and richness was 10/10. This was such an amazing experience and I truly can’t wait to come back for my stuffed tomato!! Like please chef for meee🥹

I just had the most AMAZING dinner. Chef Matt made mouth watering masterpieces truely authentic and can only be found here. Not only did he make our food but he also made time to visit our table and ensure the food was as delicious as it looked. The French onion soup was out of this world. I didn't even take a picture because it was so delicious. The CremeBrulle and orange dessert were too good to be true. The staff, hosts, and waitresses were inviting and very attentive. We will be enjoying more meals here in the future. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

It’s not easy to find a truly good French restaurant, but La Nouvelle Bistro is one of the best. The old mansion setting is cozy and charming — the perfect atmosphere for a special meal. The service was outstanding, and every dish was exceptional. The escargot was incredibly soft, the foie gras pâté rich and beautifully prepared, and the steak perfectly tender. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Prior to coming to St. Augustine, I had a surgery which resulted in having to cut out gluten. As this was a relatively new food allergy, I was very nervous about discussing it at a restaurant and was worried all I’d be able to eat is a salad (pretty common with a few other dining spots). All I have to say is WOW! Not only was the host very accommodating and educated me about French food not having much gluten but the waitress was also incredibly knowledgeable about the allergy, recommended foods and specials based on what I could eat, and was very patient with my family. The food was delicious, very flavorful and filling. I felt very well taken care of and despite not living locally, I would drive 3+ hours again just for another splendid evening here. For any other gluten free customer, please take the time and eat here. You will not regret it.

Fantastic birthday dinner. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you want a special dinner. We got the 3 course dinner that the whole table had to order. Escargot with baguettes. Tuna salad that I can’t remember what it was called. Beef borguinon. And salted caramel crème de pot. Oh my god. That was so good

La Nouvelle in St. Augustine deserves every bit of five stars. The food quality is outstanding, clearly prepared with care and top-notch ingredients. The staff is genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help with extra requests. Even during the busy Christmas season, parking was surprisingly easy. It’s not the cheapest restaurant in town, but the quality of the food absolutely matches the price.

This is a high priced restaurant that doesn't live up to its potential. The outdoor spaces look to be charming, but it was cold the night we visited, so we were indoors. The indoor space has only about ten tables. We did like the food. I had the duck. What we did not like was the reservation system that bungled our reservation and the rather unfriendly lady that we had to call several times to straighten it out. No table cloths or nice settings. The wine list is very big, but exclusively French, which I did not like. Our server was eventually helpful, but we were well into our meal before we got our wine. The menu item listed as Foie Gras is actually pate de foie gras, which is not the same thing at all. Overall, not too impressive.

What a nice surprise: we have eaten at many restaurants in St. Augustine and for us this is the best! We had Deviled Eggs like we never had before, truffled with roasted capers. Absolutely amazing was the Fois Gras! Full of fragrance and just perfect. Very good the chicken as well which was tender and juicy. Only the Caesar’s salad was not at the same level, but still good. We had a porch table which was cozy, service was charming. 5 points for sure!

We celebrated our anniversary at this wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was extremely welcoming and kind. I am looking forward to return and enjoy another special dinner very soon. Thank you for your marvelous service and delicious food.

Perfection. Everything was flawless. Making reservations was easy. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. I was presented with complimentary champagne as I was celebrating my birthday. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and really elevated the entire experience. Our food was beyond delectable. Highly recommend the Escargot and Steak Tartare. The best I've ever had. We sat on the beautiful wraparound porch. I was delighted that it was a gorgeous December day and enjoyed the warmth of that Florida sunshine. I did peak inside on my way to the spotless restrooms and made note that the interior dining area is stunning as well. I will always opt to sit outside but on a day when the weather is uncooperative I would be just as happy sitting inside this historical gem. I ended my meal with a chocolate croissant that I regrettably did not snap a picture of. That was the perfect ending to this unforgettable meal. I reserve my 5 star ratings for restaurants like this for a reason. So that the great restaurants can shine above the good. Can't wait to go back!

The food was absolutely dreamy. I love steak tartare and this one finally unseated my favorite for the past 5 years. Even the French fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend cannot go wrong with anything on the dinner menu! We sat on the patio and were very comfortable with the heaters and provided blankets (:

La Nouvelle is the highest rated restaurant we've visited. The service is among the highest. The food is amazing and the restaurant is historical. -The service is, without a doubt, top notch. Servers are very attentive to needs, from making sure comfort is priority to ensuring you're prepped for presenting the meals. -The food we chose was Lobster Bisque and French Onion soup. Both have superior flavor and presentation. The Filet was cooked to perfection and has a tenderness with a pristine cooked-in seasoning. The "Pot de Crème", my new favorite desert. A cute little desert container with chocolate crème topped with a creamy white fluffy topping. It has rich flavors that I will not soon forget. -The restaurant is a finely restored historical sight from the "Daughters of the American Revolution" visited by prominent figures from our American culture. This unique discovery with French cuisine is at the top of my list with my utmost recommendation.

Quiet day for brunch. Most of the people were sat outside on this sunny day but was sat inside and it was fine. Service was great for the most part. There was some longer waits for things needed at times but it was ok They use the freshest ingredients so that was a nice touch. The truffled deviled eggs were tasty. The tuna nicoise salad looked appealing but with such huge chunks it needed to be cut up into smaller pieces. It was a knife and fork salad for sure. The brunch special - crispy potato hash with eggs, sub shrimp for pork and extra thick hollandaise sauce with a side salad. It was good, especially the potato part It was a nice setting in an old Victorian house. Small seating but nicely done with a large porch

Visited Saint Augustine for a week and we experienced every fine dining restaurant. We were so lucky to finish our last night here at La Nouvelle, because it simply knocked everywhere else out the water. The house is beautiful and has historical significance but the ambience on the patio was just charming. We were seated quickly and the kitchen adjusted to any allergies we had. The famous chef went to culinary school in France, and it showed. Every dish had the perfect temperature, and extraordinary flavor palette, was presented delicately and swiftly. Overall looking back everything paired so well together, and sat excellent on our stomachs. It was orchestrated phenomenally from start to finish. So much attention to detail. The local coffee in the French press was so good we ended up ordering it online at the table. If they sold their desserts I would've taken all of them to go! We ended up taking more bread and butter for the road, because I knew I wouldn't sign bread this soft and crunchy for a long time. Not ashamed to admit that I ate the rest of the butter by spoon. This was a meal that I will remember and recommend! Well done chef! Extra notes: they also offer a chef special, which if you order the entire table must order. The French onion soup marinate for days and onion simply dissolve in your mouth, it's a must try. They have an excellent meat selection for the entrées but we wanted something light so we could eat more, and the fish was an excellent choice.

A charming gem with delicious food and great service. Caroline, our server was top notch and made it a special experience. A great find.

Brunch with the girls! No reservation and we were seated immediately, we did get there a little after 11am. We had baguettes with butter and radishes and olive fir starters. Three cocktails- all good I had the peach Bellini not sure what the others drank. For lunch we had onion soup- told it was so so. Steak fritte delish and duck confit- also yummy. We had a chocolate pudding type dessert, lavender crème brulle and macarons- all good. Nice atmosphere. Inside and outside dining. We weren't sure where the entrance was- look for the restaurant name on the building which faces the parking lot and head that way. Above and adjacent is an air bnb. I would definitely go back. Staff was very nice.

Went to try brunch today. My husband and I ordered the burger cooked medium, croque monsieur no egg waiter even confirmed no egg, and the French onion soup. Pretty simple order. What we got. Two lobster bisque soups, didn't order. Pain francaise didn't order , and a burger that was raw. They offered to re cook burger and sent us home with it. Hubby didn't want to wait. It was an odd experience.

Had dinner here during a trip over the Christmas holiday. The food and service were excellent. This is a gourmet restaurant serving fine French cuisine. To start, we each ordered the French onion soup and shared an onion tart. For our main course we had the Duck Confit and filet steak. For desert we had these little "Creme puff" pastries and a blueberry tart. The building is a historic Victorian home of The Daughters of the American Revolution. There is cozy inside seating as well as outdoor seating on a beautiful deck. Reservations are a must.

Food was out of this world! Every dish we had was better than the next. The baguettes came with delicious butter...the Caesar salad had amazing white anchovies...the steak tartare was some of the best I've had, and came with superb shoestring fries. The Mahi Mahi fish special had a super sauce and was served with mashed potatoes which was a great pairing, and the duck confit was great as well. We were all saying how we have to keep coming back to try more dishes! Margaret was our server and was five star! She had a deep knowledge of the food as well as local history. The rest of the staff was attentive too. The building is an old house and is charming....great acoustics as you can hear each other talk. There's lots of outdoor seating but a bit cold tonight so most people were indoors. The hearty souls outside were under heat lamps and knew to dress accordingly. Will definitely go back!

The first time I went 5 years ago I would have rated 5 stars. This time my friends did not enjoy their meals. I had the French Onion soup and the Fish and both were excellent. Two friends got the fillet minion which came with a very large order of French Fries - strange for fine dining. They complained of the cut not being as tender as it should have (one medium rare and the other medium well) and the sauce being too peppery (one of them loves pepper). The other two friends got the roast chicken which was totally underwhelming. So I guess your experience strongly depends on what you order. They were busy, but we made reservations 24 hours in advance, and our party of 5 was seated at a weird oval table where people passing would bump against my chair to get to the bathrooms. There was that little space between me and the person behind me. The highlight was the staff. They were fantastic! Very professional and attentive. I think overall this restaurant could improve some of their menu items and seating to be once again deserving of 5 stars.

Great spot in an old house. We came here for brunch when it was something else. Got a really nice table by the window. Our server was right there for us with water and orders. We started with the French onion soup. Amazing. Deep flavors. Server said it takes 3 days to make it. Chèvre frise salad. So good. My favorite at this point. Such a good bite with the creamy chèvre and frise with the raspberry vinaigrette Wine is very reasonable. Got a cote du Rhône. Really nice. Started with some French onion soup. Very good deep flavors. Excellent start. Moved on to some baked chèvre. Amazing. So light and full of flavor. For our main we had the FILET AUX POIVRES, filet mignon. cognac pepper sauce, duck fat potatoes. Cooked perfectly. Was really good. Since we were celebrating we got a dessert. Picked the PARIS-BREST pratine creme mousseline. Very tasty. Great final bite for our meal.

Had lunch at La Nouvelle for my birthday. Beautiful dining room. They also have some lovely outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Service was very attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were very good. We had the croque madame and the royale with cheese. They brought my Paris-brest out with a cute candle. Very lovely place that I would happily visit again.

When on girls trip we always have dinner here. In the words of my foodie sister "there is not one thing in this menu, I wouldn't eat". Every time we visit every detail is perfect from the staff to the food. They thought out every detail to ensure your experience is pure perfection. The wine selection is awesome, the food, dessert and even the ambiance. The building itself is amazing and their courtyard is something I dream of. Delicious!!!! Everything was cooked perfectly and Claudio our waiter is a 5 star waiter!!! Claudio going to get tired of me I am always going to ask for him!! My wife's quiche she said was fabulous!! Croque Monsieur sandwich was excellent!!! We ordered a side of duck fat potatoes excellent and Baquettes were very good. We ordered the crème brûlée very good! The wine was 2018 Chateau Galochet Rouge very good!!!we live close by and definitely will be back. Special thanks to Ashley that took my reservation over the phone. What a great professional employee and communicator!

Server, Amelia was exceptional. Her French pronunciation was très magnifique! The attention to detail that Chef Michael Lugo has brought to this establishment is remarkable. Would definitely recommend reservations for garden patio dining, porch dining or inside. The starters, entrees and desserts were outstanding!! Definitely recommend & will return!

Lovely time here- we can't get enough of their menu! The Pate is out of this world, the steak and Frites is 10/10. Their wine selection is top notch! Highly recommend!

Place was absolutely fantastic i'm trying to get some buddies and wives together to drive an hour and a half there and a Car service so we can go out and have dinner and drinks. It is that unbelievable.

What a delightful place! I stumbled upon this restaurant for my birthday, and I'm glad I did. First off, the exterior and interior are to die for. It's a beautifully renovated home turned restaurant, and you want to stay for hours. The decor is beautiful, and I love all the colors and the homey feel. The food was delicious, and I must return for the dinner menu. I ate lunch and started with the lobster bisque, which I wish was bigger cause it was delicious. I decided on the quiche Lorraine for an entree, which was excellent, and the egg was perfectly fluffy. It had a nice little salad on the side with a flavorful dressing. We added some fries on the side that came with what I believe was a Dijon aïoli, which was a perfect dipper. I would 100% make the trip again to enjoy dinner here.

Just go. That is all you need to know. Sure, I'll rave about this place but really, that's all you need to know - just get a reservation and enjoy an excellent meal in a wonderful restaurant. Ok, our experience started by arriving early on a clear starry evening and enjoying a glass of wine at the outdoor bar. Once inside, I noted several intentional details about the dining room including velvet curtains and sound attenuating panels camouflaged into the wall decor which made the atmosphere simultaneously intimate and familial. Even the HVAC diffusers were dispersed to (presumably) eliminate breezy hot/cold spots and ensure comfort. Loved the attention to detail. Then the warm staff walked us through the menu, specials and their recommendations. It was a thoughtful, intentional menu that provided several mouth watering options for every palette. We relaxed our way through each delicious course, from salted butter baguettes and lobster bisque (which is the new benchmark by which all lobster bisque's will be judged) to perfect entrees of duck confit and steak au poivre. There are many reasons to revisit St. Augustine but a dinner reservation at La Nouvelle is at the top of our list. Well done.

My family went in for lunch and I can say the French onion soup, escargot, crab cake and burger were delicious. The last time my family was in town the restaurant was The Preserve. Now, new owners and new menu. The day was beautiful but the previous restaurant was missed, especially the warm loving service. Our simple lunch took 2.5 hours and the manager did comp a dessert for us but we won't be in a rush to go back. I do think it's worth a try if tasty food is your jam....just don't ask for a bit of butter unless you're ready to pay $4.

Everything about the experience was great but the French wine list stole the show. The 2021 Philippe et Arnaud Dubreuil Savigny-les-Beaune was fantastic. Obligatory french onion soup was delicious. Traditional sole and duck confit were also amazing. We sat on the porch and watched the rain. This house has been a great Lincolnville location since it was Preserved.

The cheese is very different from a traditional Gruyère as it's creamier and not as overpowering. My only criticism is the broth masks the taste of the onions a bit, but not being a traditional French onion soup it really stands alone as a signature staple for the restaurant. ---- Entrée - Steak Au Poivre (filet medallions, cognac pepper sauce, pommes aligot): The filet was cooked perfectly to temperature (requested Medium Rare) providing a melt in your mouth tenderness that is comparable to any high end steak house. The richness of the sauce was very complementary adding a smoky depth and sweetness from the cognac. The pommes aligot, is a traditional French dish with bring mashed potatoes together with cheese, butter, and creamy creating a velvety texture and a comforting balance of boldness from the sauce. The only criticism would be the whole peppercorn was a bit intense in ways taking away from the perfection of flavors on the plate. ---- Dessert - Pot De Crème (dark chocolate, chantilly cream, sea salt): Speechless. That doesn't happen very often. It was pure heaven. The best way I can describe this dish in lament terms is imagine a chocolate mousse coupled with chocolate fudge. Every bite was pure decadence. The chantilly cream's smooth and fluffy texture brings a great balance with every bite of the chocolate and the sea salt flakes adds not only the saltiness but the crunch bringing a dynamic complement of textures and flavors that embodied the entire dish. ---- The restaurant offers both inside and outside spaces that took advantage of the historic elements of the building with a beautiful French flare making it a perfect place for couples, family, friends, and even for business. ----- Stellar. Our waitress was extraordinarily attentive and provided detailed descriptions of the dishes and great recommendations that elevated the overall experience. ---- Overall, this restaurant truly embodies perfection in every way, and I love how they have curated menus for both lunch and dinner which provide many options to enjoy the creativity and excellent execution of the chef's work. I visit the Saint Augustine area every year and will surely keep this restaurant as a top preferred restaurant for my visits.

Booked our silver anniversary with our family in this fine dining restaurant. We enjoyed the great experience of the bed and breakfast feel as the place is set up in the corner lot with great Victorian architecture details. French style restaurant with a variety of entrees to order. We started with baguettes as starters and enjoyed entrees like Madame Sandwich, Duck Confit, Steak Frites, Filet aux Poivres and Poulet Roti (good portion). Desserts did not disappoint either - pot de Crème, Strawberry Eclair, Paris Brest and L,Orange -which is probably most unique and best presentation of all of them.

What a quaint, cozy and charming restaurant. Juan, our server, was exceptional - engaging, funny and a pleasure to talk to. The wine list was superb. If you've got money to burn, you can find some bottles close to $1,000. I chose a French white Demi-Boutelle, but sadly cannot remember the name. I believe it was a combination of two grapes. It was excellent - a clean, crisp yet well rounded wine. I don't have a very big appetite so even though I pined to order one of the hors d'oeuvres, lobster bisque, or onion soup, I restrained myself. My husband, though, did order one of his favorites- classic escargot. The buttery, garlicky snails were well executed and the mini baguette was on point. (The bread is shipped in from France!) Dipping the crusty, warm roll in the escargot's juices was epic! For dinner, I ordered the duck confit with grapes and duck fat potatoes. My husband opted for the bouillabaisse, a traditional fish stew with shrimp, lobster, bass, and mussels with a saffron broth. We also ordered a side of frites. I truly enjoyed the meaty duck leg and thigh. It was cooked perfectly, and the sweet sautéed grapes were the perfect pop of sweetness. I wanted to indulge in my duck fat sautéed fingerling potatoes, but my hand continued to wander over to the bowl of pommes frites. The in house made fries were just too addicting. In the end, I wish I had room to indulge in both but alas that would require having another stomach. My husband's stew was good but not great. The broth was very light and tasty, but the lobster was too stringy and chewy. It's best to enjoy this crustacean super fresh. Having lived in New England, where we would buy lobsters literally off the boats that caught them is the only way to guarantee a tender, luscious meat. (And not overcooking them obviously) Shipping them is a delicate and difficult process and I've been told by watermen that "stress" can impact their quality. Anyway, we still thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we would return to sample more of La Nouvelle's menu.

You must go! MUST! From the moment we arrived at the host desk to the moment we walked out the door -- We shared the warm chèvre salad, French onion soup, and the surf and turf special. She had a lavender crème brûlée, and I enjoyed the Paris-Brest. We decided to share the entree so we'd have room for dessert! It was beyond! She wanted the steak and frites, I wanted the crab cake and broccolini. We were both in love with the hollandaise sauce. Yes to all the buttery, salty, lemony, bright sauce! The decor is lovely, inside and out. The French music, marble topped bistro tables. Perfection.

Absolutely this love classic French house ambiance in the oldest city with the most talented chef, sommelier, waitstaff in town! You are truly experiencing a 5 star home cooked meal for fair prices! Don't miss this wonderful place!

Amazing experience!! Great food great service great wine. We came for a mini honeymoon and wanted the tasting menu (it was sold out!) But the chef wanted to make our dinner special and made a special tasting dish for us ! Server gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. We got the steak for two - it was amazing!!!

We had an excellent brunch here on a Sunday morning. Food was delicious and service on spot. Would have had dinner there but they require reservations and a credit card to hold and we aren't up for that. Just walked in for breakfast and were welcomed. Would definitely go back for brunch!

Absolutely had an amazing dinner here. Loved the house restaurant ambiance. Started off having a dozen Beau Soleil oysters from NB and our favorite oysters. We knew our anniversary was starting off great! Amelia our server was so kind and attentive, even comped us a few extra oysters which was so sweet! We decided to split a French onion soup which was rich and delicious. Then for our mains I got the Branzinno and my husband got the duck. Wow, just wow. For dessert we had macaroons, a wonderful dessert wine and espresso. Would highly recommend this place. Great staff, food and ambience...10/10 imo! Sorry we did not get pics of the food we were enjoying our experience:)

I would love to give La Nouvelle a 5 star rating. Here is why I give it a 4. La Nouvelle is by far the best restaurant in St Augustine. The ambiance, the food/menu, wine selection and staff are all to notch. However, my wife and I enjoyed the magnificent foie gras paté and as a main we ordered the sole. The sole is from Holland and to my opinion the best sole money can buy. But a sole has 4 filets and not 2 monsieur le chef! The portion is just too small for a couvert of 45$ pp. A small portion of Artichokes and 2-3 parts of potatoes, though super tasty, is just not sufficient, looking at the price. I left La Nouvelle with hunger and an unsatisfying feeling. If you change the quantity (and not the quality) you will receive 5 stars next time, as I gave you before. And also a Michelin star would be justified! Merci.

This restaurant was amazingggggggg! The place was super cute, service was great, and the food was outstanding! We have been to a lot of restaurants in the Jax/St Auggie area, but the food here hands down is the best! Definitely get the deviled eggs as an appetizer!

$55 for their steak au poivre...too much for an unexceptional cut of meat. The chef's menu is only available if everybody at the table orders it at $85 and you cannot select from the limited menu but instead are confined to one option each--app, entree,dessert--probably what is close to perishing. Plus $35 for paired wine. Wanted to love it as we are locals...but too precious.

We had the tasting menu. I think it was the best we have ever had. The wine pairings were great and the pours were generous. So many tasting menus get stingy with the wine pours. Our server, Ana, was wonderful and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. Not a bad bite; the food was wonderful.

Beautiful, romantic, unique and fantastic service. We had the trio pate and escargot appetizer. Divine. The lobster bisque was exquisite. Main course was exotic and perfect: duck confi , short rib special, sword fish steak and bouillabaisse seafood. The bread was fresh made, the butter was creamy and light , the flavors are layered with every course. The deserts : chess cake, blueberry tarts, chocolate and pastries were just amazing. It's a dinner experience you will not forget !!!

Beautiful restaurant in a residential area off King Street in Saint Aug! It is gorgeous. We can't wait for the weather to cool a little so we can go back and enjoy the outside bar area. The entire design was perfection. You can go dressy or casual. We opted for dressy because we were celebrating our anniversary. Josh provided excellent service. On to the food - we got the trio of pates, split the chèvre salad, duck confit and steak frites along with wine and a Paris-Brest for dessert. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. I will say a little more spice on the entrees would go a long way. I know French food isn't typically going to be flavored with spice so probably won't happen but I'm just talking a tad more salt. Pates were delectable and served with marinated apricots and apples. The dessert was the perfect amount of sweet, with a soft yet crisp choux. Exactly as it should be.

La Nouvelle is truly something special and in a league of its own. The atmosphere of La Nouvelle is personable yet elegant. Our server Margaret was absolutely fantastic. She was attentive, helpful, and incredibly friendly. I truly wish I knew enough words to describe how amazing the food was and even if I did know every single word in the english language, I still don't think it would be enough to describe how great the food truly is. Eating the food at this place is so good it will make you want to stand up and give Chef Matthew a hug. If you're ever in St. Augustine, you must go to this place or you're doing yourself a disservice. Chef Matthew has created something truly special here and I will be returning.

We went in with pretty high expectations to La Nouvelle since I've read online that they have an actual French chef who trained with Gordon Ramsey and that the food is top notch. We lived up north in the past so we've been to French fine dining restaurants in New York City. This is definitely a fine dining restaurant as the restaurant is beautiful, the prices are definitely up there and the menu is put together nicely. However, I'd say the food was 50/50. We loved some things but weren't too crazy about the others. For example, I thought the pate appetizer was amazing and I'd definitely come back for it. However, their steak tartare was just ok. I think maybe they didn't use the highest quality of meat for it. Same thing goes for entrees and desserts: I thought the desserts were phenomenal and I'd definitely come back for those but entrees (2 steak entrees and 1 duck confit) were average at best - the temperature of the steak ordered was not cooked correctly which at these prices and the restaurant setting is sort of unacceptable. The duck confit leg was under-seasoned and just bland (the grape garnish on it was great though but didn't make up for an average at best duck). When you spend this type of money for a dinner, you expect everything to be AMAZING. For those reasons, I'd come back for an appetizer or a dessert - just was not impressed with their actual entrees. I'd be interested to try their brunch menu since it appears that whoever makes their dessert is a patisserie genius!

So so so sooooo good! Make a reservation! Even on a Tuesday! We showed up around 7pm and the place was packed (it's very small) so we put our name down for an 8pm reservation. It was WORTH THE WAIT!!!! Truffle deviled eggs were sublime and magical. The royale with cheese (burger) was PERFECTION on a croissant style bun. The lavender crème brûlée heavenly. And last but not least, the service was truly impeccable!!! Margaret was our waitress & she was a joy.

This is a very special restaurant. My husband booked a reservation for my birthday it was truly a magical dining experience. The restaurant is located in an older home and the ambiance is stunning. The staff were so welcoming and kind and helped us understand the menus and offerings of the evening. The wine list is extensive and impressive and we were able to choose the perfect accompaniment for our meals. The crab cake appetizer was delicious and my quiche entree was perfection. My husband opted for the French onion soup to start and the beef special which he thoroughly enjoyed. We ended our dinner with a blueberry tart and the L'Orange and both desserts were spectacular. Thanks to the staff for making my birthday a memorable one!

This dining experience was extraordinary, food prepared in such a way as to exceed expectations, the service was impeccable. Pricey, but worth it.

This little hole-in-the-wall is a gem in Saint Augustine! It is a historical building that was redesigned into a French restaurant! Our server was personable and convinced us into trying the quiche and let me tell you... one of the best quiches I have ever had. It was the perfect amount of firm yet gelatinous, cheesy, flavorful, and fresh. My group also had the French onion, lobster bisque, quiche, escargot, oysters, baguettes, and the seasonal stewed beef with egg noodles and fresh veggies. All dishes were delicious, and the desserts were fantastic! We tried the macarons, the white chocolate covered mousse, and the delicious lavender crème brûlée. There was an extensive wine list as well!!! I highly recommend this for a romantic date or a Sunday brunch.

My boyfriend took me here for an early birthday meal, and our expectations were blown out of the water. The atmosphere almost made me feel like I was transported to France upon entrance. It was so quaint and whimsical! Everyone that worked there that we crossed paths with greeted us and told me happy birthday! Our server was very professional and gave us his recommendations for what to order. We eventually both settled on the filet mignon (comes with capers) and potatoes that are cooked in duck fat. The filet mignon was soooo tender (I had mine cooked medium rare) and the potatoes were unbelievably crispy AND simultaneously soft. Lastly, it was my birthday so the server kindly brought out a free dessert (the blueberry tart) and it was BEAUTIFUL! Also tasted amazing. Was sweet but not too sweet, and the inside was a beautiful purple color. My boyfriend also got the lavender crème brûlée and that was one of the best things either of us have ever eaten EVER. If you come here, get the lavender crème brûlée!! The flavor profile is amazing. Not super floral tasting but enough that you know the lavender is the star of the show. The crème brûlée itself was so crunchy on top and smooooth inside. The lavender madeleines were also yummy, although a little denser than I expected. Anyway I can't wait to go back!!
